Once the remaining members of our party arrived, and a little bit of time was given to review the menu, our order was taken. When the starters had arrived, we had noticed there was one missing (child's vegetable dippers from the allergen menu). When we questioned this with our server, who was the one highlight of the evening, and she had ventured into the kitchen, she returned to advise us that there were no dippers left available. This was after the order was taken and all other starters had been on the table for 10 minutes. When we had finished with the starters, it was a short time until the mains arrived. Again once 9 of our 10 mains had arrived, we had noticed a member of our party was missing a risotto. Upon noticing, a staff member informed us that the chef had not started the risotto at the time the order was placed and they would be starting it then. Unfortunately, the risotto arrived 5 minutes later, I'm not sure what sort of amazing cooking skills your chefs have, but I have never seen a risotto cooked in 5 minutes. This was proven by the fact that only half of the dish was cooked and the rest was a mixture of uncooked rice. This was my second visit to Browns, but may very well be my last.

Had a fantastic lunch here today, crispy duck salad starter followed by steak frites with a delicious mojito. Our server Mary was warm, friendly, and well acquainted with the menu. We received quick service whenever we needed it but weren't made to feel rushed at any point during our 2-course meal.

A very good restaurant in a beautiful place. The waitress Esther does perfectly her job and food is awesome.

Where to start? The venue is superb, the decor is dazzling, giving off a warm, welcoming and fancy ambiance. We were rapidly greeted to our table by Esther, who helped us pick the perfect wine to pair with our roast, and was helpful throughout providing excellent and timely service, the roast itself was amazing, the meat was cooked to perfection with great charring for texture, the potatoes and sides melded so superbly with the dish to create a wonderful symphony. This restaurant is a gem in the heart of the city.

Just been for Sunday lunch, which was lovely. Made even better by our waitress Heidi, who was attentive, friendly and hilarious. She obviously enjoys working there! I would highly recommend Browns, such a lovely building & we all had a fabulous time.

This is such a beautiful place to be- the service was superb, the staff; friendly, attentive and professional , the atmosphere was relaxed , complimented by the background music! The food was FABULOUS! I highly recommended the pan fried chicken with butter beans - so filling and full of flavour - and plenty of protein too!! I couldn’t help but order the apple and plum crumble with ginger ice cream - YOU HAVE GOT TO TRY IT ! It’s glorious! Well done Manchester Browns! A big thank you to Alice , Mary and Anton! We took a large party to Browns Manchester for my sister’s hen party. The food was lovely. We needed to preorder due to the size of the group. This was really easy to do and communication was great when we needed to make changes. Also they knew the names of the people who had ordered each thing which was a huge help. Heidi our waitress went above and beyond, she managed our large group really well, made sure we had everything we needed and was willing despite her busyness to help us with some group photos.

Went to Browns Manchester yesterday with some friends for a celebration and although we just had some drinks we all thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the service a big shout out to Anton who went above and beyond to make our experience so special so thank you Anton can’t wait to go back!!

Ate in here on Sunday 2nd March. Last min booking, atmosphere was beautiful food was outstanding and the service was 10/10. Would highly recommend. We didn’t want to leave.

This very particular place was once a bank, now it is a brasserie offering the classic English Sunday Roast (which I recommend). Everything is very well looked after and the no limit tea option in the afternoon is also nice! The atmosphere is gorgeous and fanfact: The women's bathroom is located in the old cavaux!

Food was amazing. Had the valentines menu. Well worth the money. Staff was amazing. Heidi kept us topped with drinks. Didn’t have to wait at all really for any part of the evening. Live pianist was a great touch. Stunning building and unique architecture. We’ll work the splash for the experience of this place.

After failing to get seated at the previous restaurant we booked, we made a last minute reservation at browns and it was the better choice. Our waiter Kris was excellent, friendly and the food was great. Which made my girlfriend enjoy the last few hours of her birthday. We will definitely return when we are next come back to Manchester.

Beautiful setting shame about the food I dined there last night portions were small and in particular my Halloumi Burger was very disappointing not worth £18.00 a burger bun and a few chips.

Liam made our experience beyond lovely! We got engaged on the day of our meal and Liam made the service perfect from start to finish, including a lovely extra congratulations dessert! Food was delicious (would highly recommend the goats cheese salad and the sea bass risotto) and service delightful. Couldn’t recommend highly enough! Thank you Liam!

Absolutely superb place - set in an old historic bank with plenty of marble lining the walls, this is an iconic location for a meal or simply a drink. The service was second to none. We had a friendly bar tender, Oscar, who just made things easy for us. We had the 2 courses for £18.95 menu; effortlessly delicious. Highly recommend

The service was excellent throughout our visit and the food was very good. The building itself was lovely with a nice ambiance, the tables are well spaced so you aren’t on top of each other. All round a good experience and will definitely be back. Well Done

Popped in on a girly day out for a quick bite to eat and had fabulous service from Kris. They were very thoughtful and attentive with taking our order delivery and service. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

We visited Browns yesterday, there were 4 adults and an 8 year old in the group. My daughter has a wheat allergy and the staff from the get go were on it. They explained everything, gave us a special menu and an Ipad for her to make safe choices. All her food came with a little green flag so that it was obvious which food was prepared for her. Our servers name was Kris and she was lovely. She had a great sense of humour and made our experience enjoyable. She was able to make slight changes in the menu for us without it seeming a bother. The restaurant was packed, our table was 14.45 and the atmosphere was electric. Everyone enjoying the food and the whole experience. Our 8 year old really enjoyed himself and said he would definitely go again!

Ok the Scallop’s were minuscule with a tiny amount of watercress for the price. The prawns and chorizo should have been labelled Chorizo and a few prawns. Disappointing.

Visited for Sunday roast, service was very slow despite the restaurant being empty. The roast was okay, the beef was overcooked and the rosties very chewy. Such a shame

Heidi was our server, who was professional and also humorous. She me feel instantly comfortable. The food was as always fantastic and the venue is beautiful. I would recommend coming in earlier as after 11 ish it can get busy.

Had a fabulous time on New Year's Day. The service was great as was the food. The restaurant was a little cold, but this was partly down to it being fairly quiet. The waitress did get us a heater which was appreciated. The building is absolutely spectacular.
