It’s all about your luck,they have few good and friendly staff who are so nice and polite and the exact opposite with couples of rude and disrespectful staff and I think they don’t get along well as some days good ones works and other days bad ones so it depends which one are there when you walk in

Good tasty variety of Caribbean foods, drinks, cakes and other foods of choice, delights.

Friendly staff, clean restaurant, and most importantly the food is out of this world!! I had the curry goat, rice & peas, a fried dumpling, and some of their hot sauce!! Damn... Just writing this review is making my mouth water! Looking forward to my next visit.

Soggy rice and peas. Mayo in the coleslaw had clearly gone off, I could taste the lumps and almost threw up when I tried it. Absolutely terrible. Very disappointing experience.

As a delivery rider, exclusive waiting time, They don't consider the riders, and customers always text us and enquiry about orders, I never see this types of miss managment team ever in London

Use to visit this place regularly especially the wood green branch went to the Hartford Road last Wednesday and had to walk out after waiting 20min to be served only one person in front, watching staff argue amongst themselves and then be told we could only have large dinner to be able to sit and eat. I would of preferred that they told us to pay for sitting and eat rather than order a large dinner we couldn't eat and would probably be thrown way. The lost of business. The restaurant was empty 😕

Got my rice and peas and my curry goat. I was excited to eat it when I got home travelled all the way from Milton Keynes But I was very disappointed because my meat wasn’t cooked properly but The Rice and peas was perfect

Ordered from this place 3 times, all three times I missed items. The only reason I ordered again was because they said I would receive the items, and all 3 times I never did. Unserious place.

Mean Oxtail and rice and peas always slaps!! But pricy for the quantity but definitely makes it up in taste!!

Food tastes soo good, homemade and fresh

One of the best jerk chicken and rice and peas I’ve had. The jerk chicken was bbq on a charcoal grill which gives amazing flavour and the rice and peas were very soft moist and yummy!

Curry goat was awful fatty oily n skin!! What type of goat is that!! Goat don't come with skin and I am Jamaican. Never again!! I heard they were bad but had to see it for myself, they are terrible not the Brown Eagle I used to know and buy regular from!! Service slow as usual!!

Their Oxtail is busin' best combination with Rice & Peas. Don't buy their cakes! The are not good. Depends on what you prefer, but I prefer freshly homemade cake, not those ones that are weirdly packages with a long expiry date... Just added a picture of one of their cakes. DON'T GET ME WRONG, THEIR FOOD IS ON POINT.

Ordered 2 plates rice n peas with oxtail and rice n peas with jerk chicken. The server managed to get all our orders wrong. Served rice and peas with Ackee fish, rice and jerk chicken no sauce instead. And the female staff was being difficult instead of helping. Won’t be going back.

Very uncomfortable atmosphere, unfortunately this is the same in every brown eagle I have visited. (In hope that it's not just my local one) As for the food the prices are ridiculous for the potions size. They are so stingy it's unbelievable, especially if you order of Uber eats. £36.00 for 2 large meals and one tasteless dumplin . Over cooked rice always, sometimes the oxtail is over cooked sometimes under cooked. If you thinking about ordering from here but are 50/50 save yourself the hassle. You will be very disappointed. They act like this is some professional restaurant but honestly the customer service and quality of the food is poor. 1 star from me hopefully they read my review and look to improve because as far as I can see they won't be in existence in the near. But I doubt it because its been like this for years from what I've been told.

This brown eagle shop is great , the food is great , tastes lovely, staff are lovely, value for money, I have been going to this shop for years , I love there food , it’s hard to find shops what seeks really tasty food but this one does

Horrible customer service took ages to service customers and when they ran out of a container of a particular size they did not attempt to make any substitutes. Extremely disappointed never come here

In UK from Canada and I’m Jamaican and this place makes me realize why they say British food so bad. We ordered the jerk chicken which was dry and cover in bbq sauce ( no real jerk chicken has bbq sauce) - rice and peas was basmati rice (again no real Jamaican place use basmati rice) it was lumpy no flavour. Service was slow and unfriendly (at least the got that right for a real Jamaican restaurant) and my husband ordered a fried dumpling that wasn’t in the bag. Worst jerk chicken dinner ever

Food is of a good standard , price of the meals are ok, the drinks are a bit expensive, 8 pound for rum punch

I was driving past this place and as I felt quite hungry I decided to pop in and get a takeaway. Straight away I could sense a bit of a cold atmosphere. The female staff member that served me was quite unwelcoming! I ordered one large oxtail, with plain rice and one large jerk chicken with plain rice. I found the prices quite expensive! It's definitely the most I ever paid for an oxtail with rice and a jerk chicken with rice. I thought to myself it must be really good. I was looking forward to it all the way home, but was sadly disappointed when I sat down and ate the meals with my wife. We both thought it lacked any real taste or flavour. The jerk chicken was dry and most of the oxtail were just bones with very little meat. All in all, I wouldn't visit there again or recommend this place. I'd give it a 5.5/10

Bad experience, bad and slooooooowww customer service, very bad attutude amongst staff. I've been coming to this place for 3 years and the food and service was always smiley, kind and quicker much quicker. In the last couple of months, they changed the staff over, since then the attitude is horrible. the eye rolling is disgusting. The service is so slow, I almost left. The food, what a dissapointment. I ordered curry goat rice and peas, it was salty, lots of fat and the recipe has changed completly, for curry chicken as well. I could handle the attitude if the food was still good but now the chef has changed and I reeeeaaally don't reccommend, the recipe is completly different. Hope they make some changes soon, it used to be amazing food with lovely ladies serving you.

Avoid this place like the plague! waited 15 minutes to get served when no one else was in the shop? Food is salty with no flavour and pricing has gone through the roof a joke nothing more to say been coming here over 8 years sad to see it drop it quality like this. Since the old staff left especially the gentleman who used to manage the restaurant the women have changed and been replaced by below low standards of service and behaviour never going back.

It's not the first time I've been to this restaurant in Enfield but I think they have changed the staff , I went there yesterday Sunday 15th May and I was in the shop nearly 45 minutes waiting to be served and a little brown skin woman had such a terrible attitude it was shocking telling me they have customer online serving so I asked what about the people standing in the shop queue waiting and her whole attitude was wrong and as if that wasn't enough the way she served me was terrible the food is not free am paying for it am not in no food bank and I was absolutely shocked at her behaviour and conduct dealing with a customer. Being in business myself if I treated my customers like that I would not have a business today. I was charged £32 for a small ackee rice and peas and a large jerk chicken and rice. I will not be returning anytime soon. This is the problem when business owners employ staff and they mash up your business with there attitude because it'd not there business they only work there. That short brown lady needs some serious customer service training or be removed as toxic attitude is no good for any business especially when your serving food. I don't normally comment but I was so upset about the service and how long it took hence why I decided to leave my review.

I order from this restaurant every now and then, but there food and customer service is consistently inconsistent. I spent over £30 recently, and only recieved half my order. The sad poor attempt at what they call a 'double' is laughable and NOT worth the £5.50 they charge just for 1! I will not be supporting anymore.

We stopped by here on our 2 hour journey back home as it 'used' to be nice. Firstly may I start with what an attitude the young girl has kept rolling her eyes because I added something onto my order bare in mind I'm putting money in their pockets. Food was absolutely disgusting I had jerk chicken with rice and peas... the chicken had clearly missed the jerk and ended up in bbq sauce skin was soggy and chicken was rock solid. Rice and peas were standard... charged me for 2 dumplings got home no dumplings. Wouldn't be returning in a hurry and from what their recent reviews are on here doesn't seem like they'll be in business much longer.

We ordered different meals, the food was OK for the others, unfortunately for me I found a cooked black insect in my meal. I am so disappointed and discusted as I expect way better than that. It has made me not want to order again.

I spoke to the lady about my order when I'm expecting ok the manager changed my order and give me something that I wasn't anticipated.

If I could give this place a minus 47…I would! Been going to this place since I was young, but now this place is finished. Orders are never sent correctly, you might aswell just have a surprise me section when ordering from this place because that’s what they do! Last time I got stew chicken and I got 2 small pieces of chicken with NOOOO sauce what so ever, when I say this was dry, I mean it was dryyyyyyyy! The chicken was tougher than a rusty bit of iron and 90% of the meal was rice and peas so the moisture level of this meal was 0%. I actually can’t believe how bad this place has got. This sort of food would never get dished out in Jamaica, you would get run down for that! Last time this lot get any of my money! The fact I’ve had to waste my time coming on here and moaning is enough to stress how bad this place is, do not order from here!

Absolutely awful. The fried chicken was definitely old, the curry goat was all fat and greasy mostly bones. The steamed veg they wanted £7.50 for was the worst of them all. It smelt horrible and tasted even worse. Total waste of £30. Would NOT recommend

Ordered jerk chicken with rice and peas , the food was horrible it must have been really old & frozen and reheated many times chicken was rock hard and rice and peas was cold after few bites it went straight in the bin before i end up with food poisoning never again , DO NOT ORDER from this place utter shambles how can you send food that should go in the bin out to customers !!

2nd time I've got the wrong order then got braided for complaining. I have been visiting this shop for 10 years and I've the past year it has gone down hill.. the rice grains are fat. Far from any Caribbean dish I've ever eaten.. the Gravy is made with Bisto Granules. Another no no in the west indian culture. I placed an order for White rice and received rice and peas when I called after taking an hour to get home I was told to bring the food back. I explained that I lived to far to bring it back and was then shouted at and told to keep the food in the fridge and wait to speak to a manager 4 says later I've visited and called and still can't get a manager. The food is still in my car. And I had NO DINNER ON SUNDAY. The customer service leaves alot to be desired.

Just ordered from them....plantain was stale coleslaw was too sweet....stew chicken was just OK....soup was a 4/10.....not great but not the worst ....edible

Asked if thy had a menu, in response I got a "nah". So I ordered some Jerk, tasted ok but wouldn't come back as they don't really seem interested in selling their food. Also half of the chicken was dry/inedible.

In my experience as well as my partner’s, Brown Eagle has been consistent in terms of quality of food and portions. Never had an issue ordering in person or ordering for delivery.

My father is Jamaican, we have a natural affinity with the Caribbean. We were greeted with 'huuuumph' 'white girl' minds made up. £4 for tiny portion of rice. My father's rice and peas is softer, more coconty and tasteful. £4?! Why? Jah! You've lost a lot of custom. "Wuh Yuh wan'?" Is how we were greeted. "Wuh Yuh wan?"

Bought from here 3 times now. First time wasnt bad. 2nd time wasnt the best. 3rd time will be my last time coming here.Tried giving the place a chance. I orderd special chicken, fried chicken & Curry goat. The chicken was burnt. All you can taste is burntness. The curry goat was mostly all fat and bones and oily. I spent £43 on 5 meals for family & i don't even like to waste food but it all ended up in the bin. Never again.

IF I could leave 0 stars I would the worst customer service I have EVER experienced! I refuse to give them anymore of my money after the way Ive been treated! I made an order via the app waited well over hour so decided to call them for them to say an item was out of stock and they would replace it with something else,5 mins later it showed on the app that the order had been cancelled. I called them up again and they assured me It was still being delivered I said how if you cancelled the order, the person on the phone said they would look into it left me on hold till they closed so they did not have to deal with the issue! whoever was in charge of the phone on 21/10/2021 should be sacked will be visiting the branch to speak to managment

I only heard of this restaurant during lockdown but gosh you guys are the best. Excellent food. My food always comes hot and it is always delicious. Also you guys have an excellent food hygiene rating online. Thank you for bringing us good quality food.

I'm from a Trini background and I hadn't ordered from Brown Eagle for a few years now because I thought the portions were small for the price and the food wasn't that tasty. However after ordering today Brown Eagle have stepped up.... The goat was wicked and tasted like back home..... Just enough pepper for taste and not over hot.... The roti was great.... Thin and tasty like how my mum makes it. I can't wait to buy another portion for my mum to now try. Would have given 5 stars but it is a bit pricey.

One of London's best traditional home made Carabian food. Definitely on my top 10 Carabian restaurante in London.

If Your Looking To Taste Classic Jamaican Dishes That Taste ALMOST As Good As Grandma's; This Is Definitely The Place To Visit. My Favourite Dishes Are Their Ox Tail And Jerk Chicken With Jerk Sauce And There Coleslaw. They Have Homemade Juices Such As Guinness Punch And Carrot Juice And If You Ask Nicely, U Can Even Get Dessert. The Staff Are Typical Staff For A Carribbean Food Shop And The Queue Is Always Horrendous But Once Your Pass That Food Pass Your Lips, It Becomes All Worth It 💖💛💚

Just went and picked up oxtail, Mac and cheese, dumplings, jerk wings, rice and peas and the homemade peanut punch. It was so freaking good. Cooked perfectly, the oxtail falls off the bone with so much rich flavour, you can tell it’s slow cooked. The Mac and cheese was as good as can be, wings were beautiful, spicy, crispy and succulent, I could tell they’d been marinated for a while. This place is the closest I’ve come to food in Jamaica, I’d say it’s rivalling Mr Dutchy in Northampton but yes incredible.

You just can't beat them, everyone else is trying but they just can't. Curry goat and rice Oxtail and White Rice Both dishes to die for, just like grandma home cooking
