A Taste of Passion in Enfield

I just ordered some food from this place through Ubereats and everything tasted expired and stale, especially the patty and coco bread. The Patty actually had little white stuff inside of it when I opened it up, I had to bin everything. I have just read some similar reviews and now I regret not reading the reviews before ordering. I rarely ever leave reviews but this seem to be a recurring issue (based on the reviews) and they are putting people’s health at risk.

I buy from the restuarant often as the food is lovely. Also bought in bulk for a party and everyone equally loved the food.

I ordered goat soup, sorely disappointed, not sure what kind of meat was used. Looked likeand taste regular beef soup, salty too. Won't order again.

Been coming to taste of passion for a while now. Excellent service and great quality of food. Parking is hit and miss. But free parking after certain time on a single yellow line. Highly recommend this place

We have ordered from A Taste of Passion quite a few times, and the food is always excellent quality, and arrives quickly and hot (unless it's meant to be cold of course ☺️).

We ordered from this restaurant from Uber eats. Food arrived. Ordered large curry goat plus a few additional other dishes. Ate a little portion of the curry goat and refrigerated the rest. The next day when dishing out the goat dish, I smelt that it went off. I contacted the restaurant on the following day Nov 2nd where I spoke to a staff member who I asked her name and she said it was rose. she told me to call back to speak to owner RYAN around 3 pm. I rang back she didn’t respond. I called from a different number and she answered right away. Claiming that owner wasn’t there and she will take my details and have him ring me back. Didn’t Hear back as expected and decided to ring in the evening. Spoke to a friendly girl who I explained what happened and she then advised me that nobody with the name rose works there. Unprofessional that a staff member has to lie about her name to a customer. Anyway I was then told that the goat indeed had to be thrown away on the day I ordered Nov 1st as it went bad. Today Nov 3rd ringing the restaurant and no one answers and still no solution to this issue. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN AND WOULD ADVISE FROM IT AS WELL. UNPROFESSIONAL AND NOT TO MENTION FOOD PRESERVATION STANDARDS. Sarah

I highly recommend them! I have been eating from this company for years, and have been at events where they have catered, and they never disappointed. I also have family that live abroad, and whenever they come over, they insist that we get food from this place at least once before they leave.

The food was wonderful, everyone loved it and went up for more, it was delivered on time, we have another function this month and I have been told to make sure I use the same caterers so we are using them again this month everyone is excited 😋

Taste of passion helped to make our wedding day a lovely experience. The food was wonderful and we received lots of positive feedback from our guests regarding how tasty it was. I have recommended this catering company to many people. Some of whom have also used them and were very pleased with their experience too. And I intend on continuing to recommend taste of passion to anyone that requires a good catering service. The team were also very friendly and accommodating.

I ordered two meals curry goat ,and a jerk chicken wrap , total spend £27 All the meals supposed to come with Salad , nothing came in, don’t eat in there , food is not that great.

A great little Caribbean takeaway, food is very tasty & the girl on the counter is very sweet.

I’m giving this a two because I want to be nice. It wasn’t good to be honest. The jerk chicken did not taste like real jerk, not like it was cooked slow in the drum. The chips were genuinely dreadful, I would be embarrassed to serve them. Floppy soggy oily disgusting. The piece of fried chicken was so dry and chewy, I don’t know what that poor thing went through. The festival was pretty good. The patty was fine. The whole thing is a bump, so expensive and for what. A Taste of Passion? I wish it was.

Fried chicken was ok. Curry goat was salty & wasnt nice at all. Portian was small compaird to alot of other carribean shops i've been to & customer service was terrible. Will never go back to this place.

The goat curry was ridiculously salty and couldn't eat it. 4 pints of water later and I'm still thirsty as hell!

I’m from Sri Lanka and India, I prefer eating my home cooked food. However, if u are local to Edmonton/Enfield I highly recommend you try this spot. Curry chicken and curry goat is what they’re best for. If your not allergic to dairy then try the carrot cake it’s 10/10.

The jerk chicken was not jerk at all. I ordered boneless chicken expecting boneless thighs chopped maybe, but they just tore off the meat from the bone. Not authentic tasting at all. Very disappointed

Food took ages to come then the rice was hard and dry and the curry chicken wasn't great but the stew chicken was actually really nice. Won't be ordering again. Portions were actually really small too.

Ordered cheesy beef patty - it was dry and barely had anything inside it. I ordered a large red peas soup and there was NO meat in there, only peas, the soup was even non existent. This was not real authentic Caribbean food I am so disappointed! Go to juss a cup for real Caribbean food

The portion size is very small for the money you ask,compared to brown eagle,juicy roots,peppers and spice.You need to up game and your portion size,and try wrapping it in clingfilm like all the others so you dont lose what little there is. Or lose customers remember without us your nothing. Value for for money not here its not,more a waste of money wont be using again..................

I ordered a chicken curry which was okay, However, the fish I ordered was so supposed to ba a large dinner but unfortunately very small. I was very disappointed, they need to be more generous!

I totally disagree with those negative reveiws which seem bad minded. Me & my husband often cook authentic & excellent Caribbean food for dinner parties. When we are too busy to cook we always buy take away food from this establishment. We've been eating from them since they started out in Edmonton green several yeats ago & we find their food to be excellent. We've ordered a few times from their new shop in South rd and the food is still great and fresh. The reason why I give them 4 stars is they are typically very slow to deliver our orders. Also they often don't have some of the food on their menu. They could also improve their professionalism but all these things are unfortunately the same problem with the majority of Caribbean take aways & restaurants.

Ordered large curried goat meal. Was disappointed with the portion of goat. (A few small pieces of goat along with a few bones and the majority of the container was filled with gravy. Not woth money value. Tried to call number provided.. no answer. Food itself did not taste authentic. I would like to support the community, but for £12 i cannot afford to be disappointed again.

Food is ok but they never have what I order and try to get around it with substitutes. They try to put the blame on you if you complain saying you should have checked and we tried to call you. By the way plain white rice is not a substitute for rice and peas.

this food was rubbish and did not meet my expectations at all. the food is not authentic, the meat was tough, and tasted metallic. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. WASTE OF MONEY.

The food is absolutely s*** !! Not good value for ur money either I will never be ordering again from this place and dont recomend it at all.

The Jerk Chicket at this joint is 2nd to none. I have tried the stuff from a dozen+ outlets and find myself always visiting taste of passion on South st or Edmonton Green. Thanks Cheff :)
