Excellent service, polite staff and delicious hot food. Friends Friday ..Had prawn curry, boiled rice, chicken satay, chips, crackers, special fried rice all delicious, kids had sausage, chips & gravy fish chips and peas...will definitely go back again, would highly recommend!!! Not sure why negative feedback could be left...10/10

Definitely one to avoid, went on a Tuesday 11:30 when the opened and ordered chips cheese and gravy, chips cheese and beans and a battered sausage and was nearly £13, now it doesn't sound much but when you take into consideration the portion sizes are pathetic, tiny open tray then wrapped in paper so the gravy/beans was all over the paper when unwrapping and food was luke warm at best, I'm sure they use day b4 leftovers, tasted horrible and all 3 of us were not impressed so best off getting a meal deal from Co op

Had two excellent fish and chip specials.. Great food, well cooked and very tasty. For the price it was fantastic… keep it going :-)

OK staff great no issue there Food looked good I'm not a fish eater and when I seen all the batter in the chips that should have told me to walk. I didn't I just asked to remove it well the big bits and I can fish the rest out myself. OK back to car and to eat oh dear obviously this fryer cookes everything in the same fat. Terrible taste on the chips maybe the fish I don't eat fish so can only presume that's it so sorry to say binned and most definitely will not visit again Shame the place looks great just a Shane food isn't upto par

Chinese food is excellent. John (Chinese) is a great chef and you know when he's not is as the quality isn't as good. Chips are fine, but the fish is dire. Too much batter. Couple of years ago I had a fish that had crawling white "items" in it. Took it back and the owner did replace it, but no real apology.

Visited broughton fish bar with my wife for lunch, we both had battered sausage chips and curry, the chips was like cardboard, we couldn’t even pick a few nice chips out, the sausage’s was under cooked but rock hard on the bottom were they have on the heat plate for a long time, but the curry sauce was lovely, just a putty we couldn’t dip any of the chips or sausage in it

Super service & food is always piping hot. It's a proper chippy you know, when it doesn't just smell good it tastes good. You won't be disappointed.

We popped in to grab a quick takeout on the way past, fast service, but little social distancing by the customers. The fish was satisfactory, but the amount of chips was enormous and all this from one portion. We kept some of the chips and heated them up the next day with our hot meal.

The whole experience from beginning to end was a total disaster. We ordered fish and chips. Firstly the woman who served us initially didn't what type of fish it was! Secondly she was abrupt, rude and didn't really listen to what we were asking for (probably didn't care). Thirdly just shoved everything on the counted like she was lugging a sack of potatoes around. And lastly when we got home all the fish had broken up into the chips which themselves were too greasy and squashed. Picture of horrible chips included. Avoid this place, there's plenty better out there to spend your money with.

Chips were disgusting and been in the fryer god knows how many times before ! Sausage was dry and bland! Never going back . Vile .

The food here is not good there are far better within ten minutes driving and the attitude of the owner is dreadful. I have seem him several times talking to staff and customers like dirt. Avoid at all costs.

The fish batter was awful, dripping in grease that left a coating in your mouth and a bad after taste, the fish itself was dry and like plastic in places, 80% went in the bin. Chips were not great either I’d say they’d been sat Gone cold and refried. Won’t be returning there!

Fish and chips not the best, fairly tasteless and the chips are soggy. The Chinese dishes are fantastic though I love them! Wish they took card payment it is 2020 soon..

No point going here when Queensferry is so close. Obviously not enough staff. Took 35 mins for 2 chinese meals and 1 was wrong when opened at home

I've genuinely never had worse fish and chips anywhere in 38 years. The fish was small, tasteless, the batter all stuck to the paper. Avoid

Traditional chippy, friendly staff and good reasonably priced food. Parking right outside if you are lucky. Give it a go!

My local chip shop this is always been good never had any complaints Chinese is always nice. There is the odd time when I have had to heat my food up but not the end of the world never had fry ups from here plenty of choice.

Worst chips I have ever tasted biggest price I have ever paid for smallest portion if they were good you wouldn’t mind paying the price he charges con man thinks he’s on the centre of London with those prices

Ordered fish and chips, served by friendly staff food served on 3 sheets of white paper when I unwrapped to eat fish was all smashed a take away container would have helped will not return

Really good chippy and Chinese take away meals are pretty good as well We are lucky in Broughton village to have a good chippy

We live in the village and have used this chippy 4 times since moving here 6 months ago. The chinese meals are good, not great (Wok1 Shotton MILES better) and the first fish and chips meal was good (though not as good as Master Fryer Queensferry) and the curry sauce yummy. We had fish/chips and curry sauce yesterday, food was mushy and falling to bits before you put your cutlery near it, just didn't taste as good as last time, curry sauce was so thick you could slice it with a breadknife. I ate half my meal, my wife finished hers but was sick very shortly after! Not good. It's worth travelling to Master Fryer in our opinion, sorry Broughton Fish Bar :-(

This was my local growing up and when I'm home visiting friends and family, we always make a trip to the chippy. It's reasonably priced and portions are good. It's always popular with the locals of Broughton so get there before the tea time rush!

Me and my boyfriend decided to try out this chippy & it's really yummy! Would definitely go back in the future :)

Algo bueno para el té. Qué buena idea, iré a los peces Bar (conocido como el "fish and chips"). Como son bastante cerca es el primer lugar a donde ir y no te decepcionará.

Been here more times than I'd like to think about. Excellent fish and chips. Chinese isn't bad either.

A friend recommended this place to us and it didn't disappoint. Well worth driving the extra distance for a nice chippy. Only been the once so I can only say that the fish and chips dinner with gravy and curry sauce is a "Hangover Cure!"

Me, my fiancé and my mother in law had a takeaway from here and we really enjoyed it! The chips are lovely, mushy peas and the fish apparently is delicious too from feedback from my fiancé and my mother in law! Recommend to go and try! :)
