Food nice but second time items missing

food generally very good, but asked for no salad or sauce on cheeseburger but came with salad on and was stuck to the cheese, the Jalapeños were smushed in the bag and so were broken apart and only 1 was fully intact. other than above issues, we enjoyed the food....except for my niece pulling lettuce and onion from the cheeseburger.

First time ordering from here, will definitely order again. Food arrived and nice and hot, very tasty would recommend

Awful the Cod was Cold and the amount of grease that came off the fish had soaked right through the paper. DISGUSTING!!

I've ordered from here a few times and it was nice, for some reason today was poor. chicken was burnt, lamb was like chewy beef the donner meat was thin strips of greasy meat. it used to be better. best thing about it was the sauce that come with it, even the instructions wasn't followed. probably won't order again to be fair.

Food was so so greasy. The bag of chips was literally swimming in greasy bland food no taste whatsoever. What a waste of £30

Changing my old review from 5 star to 1 star, ordered on uber eats, delivered by chippy staff, this was left on my doorstep with no call no text no knock and have ring cam to prove it. Requested full refund from uber. Good is drenched in grease and stone cold. Last time. Last time.

Ordered before from here and enjoyed it but this time chips were like rubber and cold and it is was all inedible. Disappointed

Excellent food. Excellent quality and really well priced.

Stopped using them. We were waiting patiently for the order to arrive, checked in the app by chance and they had cancelled the order. Waste of time and a big let down. Won’t ever use them and have spread the word.

This is our first time using this chippy.We had a delivery of fish,chips and mushy peas. We were delighted, we could tell the food had been freshly cooked. The portion sizes were generous and ordering was easy on line. This is now our favourite delivery chippy. Would definitely recommend.

Please get a chilli sauce that tastes of chilli not *sugar* it is way too sweet and overpowering and the kebabs are drenched in it which spoils them. Chilli sauce should not be sweet unless you ordered 'sweet chilli sauce' which I did not.

Disappointing experience this time. They forgot the gravy and the chips were a bit off :(

The food was great and definitely worth the price. The staff aren't very clear when speaking but still act professional.

Usually the food is nice from here, but not this time. The chips were dark and soggy like they were old ones re warmed from lunch time. My scollop was cold and hard. They forgot my sausage. When they finally came back with it, it also looked like it had been re warmed. Very dark brown and tasted of oil. inedible.

Would be 1 star but the pizza wasn't too bad. Didn't give me the scallop i ordered. Instead i received half an unpeeled monster potato. Everything coveted in grease. Ordered a chicken/doner mix kebab. No chicken!

I have ordered lots of times from here and the food is usually nice. This time, apart from the chips everything else was cold. Including the peas and gravy. I ordered a steak and kidney pudding, but received a steak and kidney pie instead. The pie was undercooked, cold and tasted off. I couldn’t eat it .

Cant fathom why for a large bag of chips with curry & a chip barm was 6.80, the quality was disgusting also rotton chips & fries under the curry sauce. God help this place when the chicken place is open. I wont be ordering again after today .

Food was good , service was terrible, although the 2 ladies that work there did all they could to sort it out , ordered a kebab with lettuce, tomato and onion , 1 tomato between the whole kebab and no onion , get your shop in order guys your gonna lose customers

Awful food. Purchased a sausage also and it was raw in the middle. I wouldn't feed this to my dog. Waste of money, go somewhere else instead.

ordered food at 8.00 to be told food would be delivered by 8.45/9.05 at latest. no food still at 9.15 so ring the restaurant only to find out it closes at 8.45. Yet they have taken money and not delivered my food

rang me as soon as order received to tell me anningredient they didn't have, allowed me to choose alternative. Great customer service, gentleman who delivered rang to say when he was a couple of minutes away, allowing me to navigate the halls of the hotel to get back to reception to be greted by a very happy and polite gentleman. Nice pizza, and garlic bread, tasty, plenty of toppings and still hot.

You couldn't describe in words how poor and disappointing the level of produce used to create such a failure of a pizza They use processed meat to replace mince meat and chicken Flavour, what flavour ? all you can taste it cheese and onion, no seasoning in the toppings, really really poor and crap product The sh!test pizza I have ever had

I ordered a pizza, chips and drink deal for family of 3. The chicken barbeque pizza was great. It wasn't too sweet, but just right. Other pizzas were very nice too. Chips were proper chippy chips not fries, which i preferred. Food was nice and hot. Price was really good. Delivery was fast and friendly. There was a slight mix up with the order but they rectified it and threw in a bottle of pop to make up. So more than happy with the service. Will definitely go to them again.

I ordered food for delivery, the shop confirmed my order, they failed to deliver anything, may I suggest that should they not want to do deliveries that they remove that option from their website. had they informed me at the time of ordering that they could not fulfill my order I would have gone elsewhere, but hey that is selfish owners for you, they don’t want other shops to have the business when they themselves can’t be bothered.

The shop opens at 4pm and today I went in at 5 past 4 to order a chip barm only to be told I would have to wait 15 minutes as no chips ready!! I could understand if they had been busy and run short of chips but to open without them even having been cooked is a poor show. Nothing in the warming cabinets either apart from a couple of pies and two very sad looking sausages. Disappointing as used to be a great chippy.

Just ordered through uber eats 1 fish (cod) 1 large chip 1 sausage and curry Fish was like haddock not cod and could done with longer. Chips very under cooked Sausage burnt and completely dripping in oil inside 1st and last time ordering from here

This is our local chippy and we've always had good food from there and found the staff really happy and friendly. I was amazed when I saw the reviews on here as we've been going to this chippy for over 6 years now and have never experienced any problems.

Went to Brooks chippy yesterday for lunch the chips were not cooked properly every thing was thrown together no didn't enjoy one bit

Disgraceful. Got the order wrong then started arguing with me in the shop. No wonder the only reviews are negative. He’s lucky he didn’t end up wearing the incorrect order. I had to leave without the food as I was thy angry.

Ordered by phone to pick up , got there , the manager was arguing with what I presume was a delivery driver, I ordered a lightly battered fish , server asked owner if it was lightly battered , his answer was just wrap it , no way was it lightly battered , chips seriously over cooked , never will I go there again, 1 star for curry sauce

Just had a delivery after delay in online order. Food was terrible, beef burger was burnt, sausage tasted awful, chips below standard. Fish was passable. Never going to order again.

Food came early and was all really nice and good portions.

Batter on fish was soft and saturated in fat. Battered fish was inedible🙁 chips and gravy were fine. A disappointment because we’ve had excellent battered fish in the past.

Been here before, but today owner on the phone chatting away, asked for a large portion of chips, and gave me a normal portion. Then gave me wro g change. Then when I got to car the paper wrapper came undone, lucky he had put them in a carton.

Never seen anything like that before Customer complained that sauce had been pit on his burger And all they did was put the burger in the chip fryer and then gave it to him What a joke

Too oily, dips were missing. Gave me major stomach issues.

We enjoyed a lovely fish and chips supper with my 95 year old father last night. Brooks is his favourite local takeaways. Very tasty, everything freshly cooked. Great value for money and generous portions. Helpful staff. Thank you.

Food was alright but cold when it arrived

The pizza was really good and all the food was hot. The chips were excellent and not soggy like some places that deliver. Highly recommended this chippy.

Best fish and chips for miles and well priced.

Just bought a portion of chips and was asked if I wanted to wait for a fresh batch so I could have a regular portion. So I agreed to wait a couple more minutes until the fresh batch was ready. When I got home & opened the tray the chips were obviously not the fresh batch and looked like they been sat around for a while, they were not hot either and I only live 5 mins away. Suffice it to say they ended up in the bin. The server also had a face like a slapped wotsit! Don't seem to take pride in their work which is a shame. Won't be going again! Will stick to Panys in future.

Writing this review on an old order as my current one has been cancelled. Word of warning to anyone expecting to use the stamp card discount - I've just been told by Brooks themselves that they are not honouring it and will cancel my order every time I try to use it. They say they had removed all offers from just eat so I'm not sure who is to blame here but if you were ordering from them just to access the loyalty discount don't bother, find another restaurant that will honor it as we just had to. Brooks had honored the discount in the past so if you have used it before don't expect it to be honored again. I appreciate times are hard for everyone right now but this offer should not be advertised by either the restaurant or just eat if its not going to be honored as its false advertising.

Didn't get the ping to say it was on it's way.. just showed up right on time though so can't complain Onion rings were undercooked and really greasy but otherwise everything was really nice.

This is the worst chippy around here.

Can't attest to the food quality as despite trying to order on multiple apps the owner rejects the delivery stating no drivers. This is not the case the fact is after calling to find out they simply won't make enough on the order and therefore your custom isn't worth it. Made it my problem instead of addressing the min order on the websites to avoid disappointment, instead tried to argue that my order wasn't worth it as the driver would take X amount stating "how am I supposed to make money" that's not my business if you are available to order within the radius I am ordering from you should fulfil the order. Discraceful place.

My friends suggested me the shop. Really tasty and quality foods they are serving. Especially their pizza’s 🫠Amazing and mouthwatering pizza’s they make freshly and halal too. Just try their foods specially pizza’s will make you unforgettable tasty experience 🤩

First and last time. The kebab meat came swimming in fat, the cheesy chips are just chips with a cheese single on them and the pizzas were average at best, no free garlic bread like advertised and for added comedy gold they put my can in the bag with hot food so i had a nice hot coke, top one guys 👌👍

What turned up was donner chips and salad.can someone explain whats so special about that.the chips look like they just passed the fryer not un it.and the staff I spoke to on the phone was so rude.its by far the worst kabab I've ever seen so its going in the bin I wouldn't feed it to my cat.under no circumstances should you ever odet from here.youve been warned.

Absolutely disgusted! I ordered through Just Eat. As per their menu a regular fish and chips £5.60 I ordered 3 with mushy peas, gravy & curry sauce. My order arrived with just 3 fish, peas, gravy and curry sauce. No chips!! I rang the chip shop to clarify why there were no chips. After checking with her manager I was told, “oh if it’s off Just Eat you only get the fish” £5.60 for one piece of fish is a joke!!!! I now have hungry children waiting whilst I make some chips for them. I’ve bought from here 3 times before through Just Eat. Never been a problem. I will never use you again and I will make sure that everyone is aware of the extortionate price you charge for a piece of fish.

Didn't start well they had vouchers with 20% off with loads in the shop but said no there old but had over 100 still in shop.and he blow he's top in the shop made me feel scared. Then got home the good was cold and didn't get what I wanted..its now in the bin.will never go. again

This was a good chippy the last time I went a few years back. The chips we got were not good .. The Chips Looked like they were re-heated chips...I bined mine shame.....

I've had pies that are cold or pastry rock hard like they have been reheated from lunch and have dried out.Chips same very dry sometimes

Lamb in kebab was sad small chewy bits hardly any salad n no sauce. The chicken fillet burger was just a chicken burger not fillet horrid no taste.

I have had fish and chips (well just put the chips in the bin )fish fantastic but left with so under cook chips from my delivery from just eats for the 3rd time brooks please know that people like chips that are crispy and not look like a floppy potato, if I did this in my job I would be sacked so hopefully the next time I order (if)sort it out

Service was excellent I went in with all my food written down on paper and they got it spot on, food was to notch too, worth the money which tbf was right, yeah I will be going back 👍
