Without a doubt the BEST takeaway coffee in Ludlow. There is so much on offer in this amazing deli - it's impossible to go in for a takeaway coffee and not be tempted by so many other wonderful products.

Really lovely patrons and a delightful selection of products. We ended up here twice during our short stop in Ludlow. The balsamic pickled onions are stunning, and the selection of cheeses will keep you perusing for a while.

Don’t expect table service (no tables) Do expect a beautifully curated selection of the finest produce from the local area, the uk and Europe. If you’re in Ludlow. If you are self catering (or in a tent or a caravan or an RV/Motor home). DON’T Go to Tesco to stock up! Pop into here. Pop into the local butchers and the local green grocers and local bakeries. I promise, you will be in food heaven🥰

Great delicatessen in the centre of Ludlow. As well as the usual delicacies, this shop has an interesting selection of cheese - I recommend the Morbier in particular - and some amazing samosas, quite the best we have tasted. The owner is both friendly and knowledgeable. It's not a cheap shop but it is worth it.

Exceptional deli owned by the wonderful Ian and Alice. This is a quality food lovers paradise, full of delicious cheese, meats, olives, freshly made bites to eat, juices, milk and so much more. We sampled before we decided, Ian was so kind to expertly guide us through until we made our choices and we couldn’t be more excited to eat all that we bought. The deli is a must visit if you are in, or near, Ludlow! Thank you Ian, you’re a food champion.

What a lovely place, beautiful food and drink served by fantastic staff! We came here as part of a mystery picnic and for our first stop we were blown away by the quality of the produce, the selection of food and drink on offer and the warm welcome we received. The owner gave us the time of day even when it was clearly a busy time, suggesting some local produce and talking us through some of history of the local area/recommending places to visit. A hidden gem for sure and a must if you are in the town! Thank you so much we will be back :)

Fabulous delicatessen. Ian was not only knowledgeable but also very helpful. We were encouraged to sample the produce so that we were happy with our purchases! What started off as a wee browse ended up nearly costing us the entire shop but in the end we settled on a selection of delightful cheeses that Ian helped us navigate. Definitely worth a visit

Ian and Alice run a great deli with amazing cheese, coffee, pies etc. But it's not just food, they really love finding and promoting great local producers and the friendly crew always make it a joy to shop here. If you're the kind of person who loves to read cookbooks for fun, find out about food provenance or just need something rather delicious for lunch you should really try it.

We visited Ludlow whilst away on a caravan trip and stumbled upon Broad Bean Deli, and were so pleased that we did. The welcome that we received was warm and friendly and the advice and guidance (and complimentary cheese samples) were most welcome and very tasty. We have just finished eating our 'Broad Bean' supper of their award winning pies, cucumber and sweet pepper relish, Smoked Pearl Wen (brie) and olives. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a week's self catering holiday and i suggested to my wife that we spend 1 night in Ludlow before we started to stock up on the great local food in the town before heading off to our house. After visiting the local butchers, bakers, cheese shop, and other delis we decided that this rather modern looking but unassuming shop had the best selection at the counter. There are two counters, one with a great selection of local and no so local cheeses and one with home made local food. Both people serving were incredibly friendly and offered us advice let us try samples and we ended up taking away a whole range of foods such as 4 different cheeses, some melanzane alla parmigiana, a local home made pie, and some amazing roast potatoes. All of it was excellent and was the basis for our main meals for the next two days. I was surprised it wasn't on tripadvisor, as most people coming to Ludlow would likely be here for the food, and this place really hit a nice mix.

What a lovely shop. The moment I walked through the door with my husband I was taken back to my childhood of no large supermarkets . This felt like what I wouId call a 'proper food shop'. We were also made to feel welcome and there was a wonderful array of produce. We will be back.

As this visit to la dolce vita was in November 2024 ! It was time to add this review to one of the best restaurants I visit Through out the years.. As this is very late to add and now the restaurant is shut for good, this is To pay homage to brilliant food here.. First off was the regular canapés of Cannelloni & Croustade.. They are always a pleasure to eat over the year's.. Next was this brilliant butternut Squash dish ! The look and flavours of this was something I never thought work together well ! But it surely did. Next was another Beautiful looking plate... Cured Sea Bream, Pear & N’duja!! I know N’duja can be hot, but the balance was spot-on with this ! Plus the Pear sorbet help calm the heat down as well.. Next was the juicy, fat, chunky piece of Halibut! Cooking on the Fish was exceptional, and with a lip licking sauce to go with it! Top marks of the cook on that.. Then the regular showing of the la dolce vita ravioli ! Always in some sort of different form ! But Always a blessing to eat. And another regular staple of the Frozen Foie & Sweetcorn!! When ever this has been on the menu, I've got to get in my belly.. And this was the very last timeki had this. Next was the duck dish!! Just something about the duck at la dolce vita! It's cooked to perfection and top Quality meat.. Then we move over to the sexy dessert section 😋.. Now I just live figs as I got 2 fig trees. And find it hard what to do with them! But la dolce vita finds a way to make them into brilliant desserts. As you can tell I enjoyed this.. Chocolate & blackberry! Yes both things that work ever so well!! And it was a great way to finish off that taster menu... Then tine to relax with a coffee and a very fine Selection of petit Fours... Yet again a brilliant experience of food...

My favourite place to eat! The staff are lovely, the decor is gorgeous and hand painted by one of the owners. The menu is full of exciting fresh foods and is updated with new recipes all the time! I always enjoy whatever I choose and sometimes I'll even get to sample new menu items before they're released! Cannot fault this place at all.

Wild is a uniquely fun experience where a mystery tasting menu will test your palate. Staff are affable and knowledgeable; you are in safe hands upon arrival. The food is creative, technical, and full of flavour, particularly umami, with curious textures throughout. Dining at the counter (includes extra courses) is well worth the premium.

We were in Oswestry for a short break. It's a lovely town. We went into the old coffee pot for a coffee and cake in the morning when we got there. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The place itself is 1940s styled and has a lot of memorabilia and themed background music. The cakes were homemade and really good, I had a salted caramel cake and the wife had a black forest gateau style cake. Our hotel turned out to be accommodation only and we went back for breakfast the following morning. I had a full English, and the wife had porridge and toast. The food was brilliant, cooked to order and nice and hot. On the way out they had put a victoria sponge out that looked heavenly. If you are in Oswestry go to the old coffee pot.
