British Airways Lounge Gatwick South in Crawley

The BA Lounge in Gatwick South Terminal is, without a doubt, the best in British Airways' portfolio—leagues ahead of any of the Heathrow lounges. It’s a comfortable space with plenty of separate areas, which makes it easier to find a quieter spot even when things get busy. The food and drink selection is excellent, offering a variety of options to suit different tastes. Plus, there are plenty of facilities, including showers and a kids' play area, which makes it ideal for travellers with families. The only downside is the limited number of men's toilet cubicles—there are just three, which can be a bit of a bottleneck. It does get busier when the long-haul flights are getting ready to depart, but overall, it’s a very comfortable place to unwind before your flight. The lounge also offers lovely views over the airport, adding to the experience.

Good selection of drinks as always. Decent seating available even during busy period. Clean, lots of staff on hand and always busy. Could do with their soft skills polishing a little as they were grumpy and had to force a smile. Food could be better, but that’s not new.

Unbelievably bad ,they always say their full ,never let you in ,had to pay £12.50 per hour for both people, just because we were early, how the hell can you predict London traffic, already reading booked and paid ,then told they where full to capacity ,ad food is I paid the £50 ,they let us in ,no surprise four people in ,please don't tell me it's because of pre booking ,we were in the there for 4 hours ,never got to half capacity ,piss poor service, had to clean up table, multiple times, staff seemed to know it's a complete con ,actually felt sorry for them ,Gatwick, never again, and yes we travel a lot

As far as lounge food goes, it's not too bad here, and there are many options. The space is ample and in its own way almost pleasant.

Staff extremely professional, friendly, always tidying, and very helpful. Downside electric points not working where we were sat and several rude guests observed to staff which was not acceptable.

A reasonable lounge at Gatwick. Not too crowded

A wonderful lounge! The two ladies on the front desk as we entered 7.45am 12th Aug, were delightful and welcoming. Great views and offerings, highly recommend!

Gatwick was extremely busy and noisy as usual, so this lounge seemed like an oasis, without noise and boasting cool views of the planes and airport activity. There are different kinds of seating in case you are working or relaxing, and though it's not one of the bigger lounges I've visited, there was a very good offer of food and drink. Plus you could order more food on your phone, which was freshly prepared and brought to you in no time. The staff were very helpful and polite.

The First Lounge at Gatwick South is pleasant enough. Just pray your evening flight isn’t delayed because you’ll be kicked out at 8.30pm. Flight was delayed for another hour and a half but they close anyway. Not very hospitable

I’d heard people speak poorly of Gatwick compared to Heathrow, however the BA Gatwick First lounge is tranquil retreat from the bustling terminal. It’s much smaller than its Heathrow equivalent but also much quieter and less busy. I found a window seat easily. There wasn’t a lot of food options, a chicken madras and pies but they were tasty. There is plenty of self serve drinks available.

Great space, and lovely area for little ones to hang around. Food was fresh and staff very polite.

Me and my wife recently had a chance to spend some time at the lounge and had an outstanding experience. The lounge was clean, comfortable, and offered a great selection of food and beverages. A special mention goes to Natalie whose exceptional service truly stood out. She was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this lounge for anyone looking for a relaxing and pleasant experience at Gatwick airport.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the British Airways Lounge at Gatwick South, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The lounge exudes a calm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for unwinding before a flight. The modern decor and comfortable seating create a luxurious yet relaxed environment. The food and beverage selection was impressive, offering a variety of high-quality options. The hot meals were delicious, and the availability of healthier snacks and beverages was a nice touch.

This is one of the best BA lounges I’ve ever been in 🇬🇧. Spacious,bright and airy with beautiful views of the runway There’s a separate children’s play area. I was here at breakfast time. Fantastic spread of food offerings including non dairy milk is commendable. A big spread of British breakfast items including some freshly made pastries and fresh cut fruits Seats are well spread out and comfy with plenty of charging terminals. Agree it could be hot on a summer sunny day but I guess there will be effective air conditioning. Toilets are clean. All in all a fantastic experience and do visit if you’re in Gatwick with eligibility to access this lounge

I must say I was so disappointed with the good in the lounge beyond believe! I appreciate all that vegetarian lifestyle some people have but is UK run out of simple meat? I literally had to get into the shop to get some protein yogurts to get some protein in. Seemed to me I paid only for the opportunity to be away from crowds that’s about it

If you get a chance, ay hello to Vitora, she was one of the most helpful members of the catering/service staff in any BA lounge I have ever been to.

This is a fantastic lounge located within the south terminal of Gatwick Airport. Unbelievable selection of drinks, hot food for breakfast and snacks. Seating is comfortable and the general atmosphere was pleasant

Excellent as always. However the food has not changed in over 2 years. Same thing every time. A bit more imagination would be great. I love the little pies you have but every single time!

A bit busy. Very friendly staff. Food well stocked. There's quieter parts upstairs if you want some special time with a nice view.

Thanks for the service that help me heating my homemade food, since I have food alergies I cannot eat what they have, but although they don’t have a microwave (should be considered) they manage to heat my food in their industrial kitchen , thanks for that!! A lot of drinks options , and various spaces for work and rest.

Simply not worth the cost with the food they provide....extremely disappointing experience. Bar staff were welcoming and table cleaner was a happy person. Try another lounge sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I have to say, I was much more impressed with this lounge than I have been with the BA lounge at Heathrow. It is much more spacious and much quieter as well. Lots of places to get comfortable, relax, and work if needed. Lots of variety of food, both warm and cold and a nice selection of drinks as well.

We had a nice time but seating was limited and if busy I don't think everyone would get a seat... Food was sparse just a bit of snacks and a few curry dishes, quite disappointed really

In an airport I'm always grateful for access to a lounge, and BA's deliver a pleasant and well managed experience. Always a wide range of free food and drinks, but inevitably tight on sitting space.

great place when not too crowded

Really lovely place to sit and relax before a flight. The lounge is a good size and the staff are super helpful. Food was constantly being changed, so it was fresh. Great selection of cold salad bar based items and hot dishes like curry or pasta. The drinks had a massive selection, from champagne to all the spirits and juices. Great runway and tarmac views too!

Busy lounge with selection of hot food and continental breakfast. Can be queuing to get in at busy times. Bar service. Better than no lounge but not a luxury

A lovely greeting and I'm sitting here on my laptop and Corrine came over asked to clear the plates and I asked her for a cup of earl Grey tea arrived 30 seconds later with a big smile. Well done Corrine Tastes lovely

This lounge has improved with nice breakfasts , fruit and big variety of drinks , snacks etc The shower was nice clean and modern Staff are very friendly and helpful It can get busy sometimes but today was really nice

If you haven’t been to any other lounge in your life then that’s ok If you have though then you can compare. The food is basic and repetition daily ( or at least when I fly , which is often) The lounge is tiny and with 1 toilet ( 3 cubicles) it gets busy Try to use other one world alliance lounges to see the difference. Staff always nice!!!

If I could rate the service 10 stars I would. After I forgot to set the cat feeder, it was looking like curtains for the moggy. Fortunately, some creative thinking from Bev and Lynda at the reception, and my keys were ferried back to a friend, and all was saved. Thanks again!

We use this lounge regularly to Faro, and it is always good. However, on occasion, we have had irritations with very uncivil guests who conduct loud, hands-free calls. Today, I asked one of the staff, George, if he could do something about a particularly uncouth woman. Whatever he did sorted out the problem quickly. The staff in this lounge are really exceptional.

Rather overcrowded and so difficult to find a space. Also seems to be in a pokey corner of the airport, underlining Gatwick's status as a third rate facility. Food and drinks were as standard though. Satisfactory. Not much different to the First Lounge next door, which I've also used. Staff are friendly though which is a huge bonus. It’s a shame about some of the clientele though who seem to take pleasure in levelling thinly veiled racist comments at the mostly BAME staff.

This was far better than what I expected it to be. Lots of seating areas with different options. Power outlets. A wide variety of drinks and meals along with snacks. The food is fresh. The space is cool when you consider the amount of people in the space and large windows. A good view of the airport for those who enjoy that. There are shower facilities however we didn't use them.

Food and drinks were plentiful. A little extra seating would have helped as it was busy.

The lounge was very full and there were dirty plates on every table. As soon as the staff arrived, it was cleared up. Food wasnt bad but a lot of people trying to get food at the same time. It was noisy, crowded and toilets very dirty. We are suprised to see so many people in the lounge at the same time. Was not a good experience.

Good selection of everything easy to chill out.

We used the BA club Europe lounge Gatwick south yesterday for the first time . We had a great experience. Food was good , a very good choice of drinks and it was very relaxing. Staff were working hard and were helpful and quick to fill up the Prosecco when you asked . A young lad called George was working hard the whole time we were there and was very helpful and made the experience that little bit better

I think this is an excellent lounge when compared to Heathrow. The lounge gets nowhere near as busy, so feels more relaxed. The selection is standard for a BA lounge. Staff very friendly and helpful and less rushed off their feet. My only gripe was the WiFi access that kept dropping when I was last there. This may have been due to where I was sitting, but it was annoying.

Would have got 5* but run out of Prosecco? At 16.00 so bad

Great lounge. Our experience was a little affected today by other people's children running around, which is a shame.

We've visited this British Airways Lounge several times, and we've had such a positive experience; it's now one of the main points of travelling from London Gatwick Airport because the moment you walk in, there is a wonderful reception area can notify you if your flight is leaving, I'm not sure if this is only for those with disability like ourselves, but it was great they had that option. When walking through the lounge, it's clear one of the main pride staff have here is cleanliness, where the staff work hard to ensure all the tables are spotless, and I've found this place outstanding. Several sections offer food and drink options to accommodate everyone, and I was impressed with the open bar option, where you could select a drink and pour it to your specifications. Many expensive alcohol brands are here, including my favourite, meaning I can enjoy a luxurious drink while watching the planes fly off. A lot of seats are here and different styles, from singular seats to two two to sofas, and even a children's play area; this place is excellent, and we love coming here also because it's a chance to have some food and to feel satisfied before we fly off to our destination. My partner especially loves the Katsu curry, which is very tasty, and the rice is always top-notch; the fact we can help ourselves to anything we want means that we can personalise our experience depending on our preference. We're looking forward to coming here again soon, and thank you for the beautiful experience.

Nice lounge, toilets ain't exactly perfect

The furniture was a bit tatty. The place was busy but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless. The food and drinks were nice.

One of the better BA lounges I visit, although it's a complete cooks tour to find because of the archaic design of Gatwick Airport. Offers a much needed break from what is always a busy Gatwick, ample seating, good views of the apron, good selection of drinks and food. Nice decor. Kids room/area is a nice attempt at being accommodating but could do with a few other toys, games, amenities to hold the interest of kids longer. All in all, a pleasant visit.

British Airways has a large lounge at Gatwick. It has been renovated recently and feel airy and bright. There are plenty of seats all around. There is a self service bar with plenty of choices and a buffet as well. Food options are plenty for everyone and everything is clearly marked as per ones allergies and preferences too. The staff at the lounge were walking around and cleaning plates and glasses frequently. The only drawback was that there was only one small toilet for a large lounge. Great views of the tarmac and to watch Gatwicks only runway be busy with constant movement was a delight.

I do like the views from the huge windows - lots of trees and the rolling hills in the background. Not as modern and sophisticated as the Heathrow Lounge. I am a bit disappointed in the presentation ie banging of dishes and the kid's corner very near to the main areas as parents let their toddler move about quiet spaces. Washrooms are very ordinary, no towels for the hands and the dyson hand dryers didn't work. A general atmosphere of quiet but not totally.

Brilliant. Staff permanently on the move cleaning tidying and replenishing. Very impressed. Good food drinks and snacks range although I couldn't find chocolate bars. Toilets clean. Kids area. Bit of a mystery tour to find it but a great way to start a trip.

Always the best lounge excellent British airways

This lounge was surprisingly good- easily on par with the T5 lounge at Heathrow, if not better. The lounge itself was large and spacious with plenty of seating areas. The only drawback was that most of the seats were low, armchair style so eating a meal with a plate balanced on your lap was a bit difficult. The hot breakfast options were good (sausage, bacon, hash browns etc) and were replenished frequently. Continental options were also decent. Snacks (crisps, nuts, pretzels) were available. The drinks on offer were very good: several options of sparkling and still wine, and a full selection of spirits and mixers. The bar was self-service, so you could have as much as you like. Staff were quick to clear plates/glasses and were friendly and engaging. The toilets were spotlessly clean (unlike other lounges we've been to).

Large lounge, almost deserted when we were there on a Wednesday.

Lovely lounge. Spacious and comfortable with the best views of the apron and runway. Lunchtime food is good particularly the curry being served at the moment.

My first time in the Gatwick South BA lounge. It is smaller than the Heathrow lounges which is possibly why it is cleaner and better kept all round. The food choice is the standard fayre. Annoyingly Zacapa 23 has been delisted and not replaced with anything. It's a pricey rum but why not substitute with something cheaper like Captain Morgan Spiced, Jamaica 62 or Kraken? Just a thought..The rest of the drink choice is as expected. The staff are very good. The airport itself is having a makeover but is still worth a stroll through.

This lounge exceeded my expectations, probably my favourite BA lounge I’ve visited. Excellent food and thankfully the COVID restrictions have ended so it’s all self serve. Very impressed.

The BA Lounge was excellent this time around and not too busy, on previous visits it has been very chaotic due to the amount of people who were using it. Food has gone back to Self Serve and the range available was both fresh and tasty. Never keen on the Union coffee in the lounge but with plenty of milk it is drinkable. Views of the runway keeps both adults and kids entertained.

Great experience once you are inside. Only opens at 5am.
