Britannia Inn in West Dorset

Genuinely the worst pub I’ve ever been too staff are rude and unfriendly and can’t pour a pint too intrested in what people think of them rather then having a good pub

It would be nice if they had the heating on in lounge bar in the winter

Nice old pub. Hospitality breakfast advertised both on website and in folder in room. When we arrived and asked about breakfast this was not the case. We were told they no longer offer breakfast. One member of staff told us we would not have got breakfast at the price we had paid. On looking in the folder in our room there was a laminated sheet of paper advertising a hospitality breakfast. When I politely took this up with a friendly member of the team he kindly said he would look into this for us. We were then informed that because they were still advertising breakfast they would supply us with cereals, milk, tea, coffee, yogurts and fruit in the morning. Thank you to the lovely gentlemen who was happy to go out of his way to resolve the issue we had. Room was clean and tidy. Noise levels from bar below room not guest friendly. Doors banging and intermittent noisey talking in corridor until early hours of the morning. Unfortunately would avoid staying here again and because of the issues we encountered we would not be able recommend. Which is a shame as there is so much potential.

I nice cozy pub, we were at Pack Monday on the 14th October In Sherborne and on our walkabouts popped in for a couple of drinks, very friendly, cozy, busy pub a couple of minutes walk to Sherborne Abbey.

Great bar staff, friendly landlord, brilliant selection of drinks on tap and THE SCOTCH EGG! JESUS THE SCOTCH EGG IS PERFRCT!

Just went for a couple of pints but it was a very pleasant experience.

Warm and comfortable pub with delicious roasts on Sundays complimented by scrumptious veg and puddings. Smaller bar on right with frequent clients who have a jovial youthful presence.

This is a great venue. I can't comment on the rooms as I haven't stayed there but the pub is great. It has a really nice feel to the 2 bar rooms, the seating is well maintained and comfortable and the drinks are very reasonably priced. The bar staff are great too

I took mum for lunch on mother's day. What a lovely day . She will be 90 in may. The lunch was fabulous, served to us with,friendly chat ,lots of laughter. Could not have wished for more. In the bar afterwards was a brilliant atmosphere, happiness that we could all do with these days. Prices impressive, service outstanding. The place to go to with out any worries. Thank you so much for making mums day a day to remember...

Friday late afternoon cheap and very cheerful. Mein host friendly.
