Brewers Fayre Tindale Crossing in County Durham

We arrived at 12.30pm and had previously booked for the 6 of us to eat lunch. It was extremely busy with a big queue for food and no obvious visibility to the bar. Holly ensured everything was handled professionally despite all this showing no angst whatsoever. She ensured the excellence of service. We all went for our food which was a superb carvery. The carver ensured that there were no complaints on meat amounts ⭐️. The kids meals arrived in a timely manner and it is a definite return journey for us all. Well done .

Extremely friendly staff and well organised. It was a hassle free lunch Even though it was school holidays. Also used a voucher making it a cheap meal.

This is our go to regular pub and restaurant, always friendly chatty staff make you feel so welcome, the daytime menu is a perfect choice after shopping during a week day great value meals two for £11.49, always tasty and great choice , we also go often on a Sunday for carvery it's absolutely delicious lovely tender meats and veg , great place 👍👍👍

3 times now I have been and no nan breads.to go with the curry so we left again and not spending 30 plus hope it gets sorted as the curry is nice

Great service and all plates cleaned! Children’s menu was spot on (esp the rump steak) and adults’ meals were very good. Should have got the refillable coke though. Jonny made sure that we had everything that we wanted.

We came up from East Yorkshire to see Kynren and stayed next door at the Premier Inn. We booked a table for 10 for 4 meals as we stayed 2 nights. Sophie looked after us on the first night, which was quite stressful,as we had 5 in the party, Gluten Free, but she managed it very well. If you have a large party, make sure you have plenty of time as we were a little rushed to get through in 1¾ hours from ordering. 3 courses! We booked for 5pm, ( needed to be out and off to Kynren by 645. Just made it) but took ages to decide on what to have, so look at the menus beforehand. Breakfasts were brilliant, Peter showed us to our breakfast table both mornings, and Holly took our orders. Tip, go before 9, to miss the rush. By 930, ques and you will have to wait for toasts etc. All staff were brilliant. The chef must have loved us having 5 gluten-free customers to deal with in one order 😀 7. Thanks for your kindness during our visit.

Just came home from yet another delicious Sunday lunch , my husband and our friend had the carvery and I had a steak couldn't fault it all absolutely beautiful the carvery had a great tasty selection of tender meats and lovely veg , and my steak was perfectly cooked and tasty ,great value and the best carvery around , well done to all the kitchen staff and also lovely Holly and Peter the manager , great staff all round 👍

Loved this place, spent a month in Premier Inn so always popped in after work. Always pleasant service, all members of staff were accommodating and very approachable. Niall I got to know, intelligent young man you got there, sharp on the madri tap lol. Enjoyed our chats. Take care buddy. Charley I saw in the Range (my workplace) as well as at her work place. Came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning unlimited breakfast for 10.99 food was hot and delicious buffet style breakfast in facr everything was help your self tea coffee etc etc well worth a visit would pre book because it was very bust at 9;30 would definitely be coming here again

after taking our 10 year old for a birthday meal, we were served by Johnny who was amazing, really helpful and even interacted with the kids love adults a huge bonus at a 10 year old party. Thank you brewers fair especially jonny and the manager who I unfortunately did not catch her name. Can't wait to see you all soon .

We were booked in for breakfast, the food was good, but had to wait for some hot food, croissants, pancakes, milk, sugar, basically everything to be replenished, and when chef came out with hot food, the oven cloth was filthy dirty. I feel they were understaffed

Every Thursday morning my friends and I meet up at Tindale Crossing Brewers Faye for coffee, we’re a party of 10/12 and the staff make us so welcome. We often stay on and have lunch it’s so good value. We also often visit with our husbands for dinner. Always good meals.

We felt that the varied drinks offering and very reasonable menu choices highlight Tindale Crossing as a place to go in these expensive times. The service was very good … particularly Jonny who was very attentive.

We were staying at the hotel next door visiting family and needed somewhere to eat after a long day. Having had breakfast here in the morning we thought why not give it a go, and we ended up coming back the second night too. It is very clean and well maintained, with friendly welcoming staff. The food is well cooked (compliments to the kitchen) and a good choice on the menu. I asked for my steak medium and it was spot on - always a good test of a chef - then my wife's steak the second night was also cooked perfectly. Drinks are not too pricey, and there's plenty of space to choose from whether you want a quiet corner or a bigger table for a group. Everything we had to eat here was perfectly cooked and seasoned, served at a good pace, and we'd happily eat here again next time we're up.

My husband and I are regular visitors at this restaurant the value is excellent bonus points special offers etc etc , we went today for the mothers day lunch it was very busy but the excellent staff coped really well ,I had the roast beef carvery it was absolutely delicious couldn't fault it , my husband had a main meal of chicken and ribs followed by desert again a tasty meal well cooked , this place is a gem well done to all the staff 👍

We done the Breakfast with Spiderman and was absolutely fantastic, so much attention to detail. Spiderman was great and our server Amelia was on hand with everything. Absolutely fantastic! Will definitely be going to attend more of these. The breakfast was beautiful as usual!

As regulars here we enjoy the benefits of being bonus club members. We book a certain table for lunch , which we both find enjoyable. We are always greeted warmly, and one staff member always goes the extra mile to engage with us. We would appreciate recognition from management as Jennifer being a valued member of staff. She deserves a 5 * rating, one of the reasons we regularly frequent this pub.

Visited recently and fortunately had a children's play area as we have an 8 year old son. We were greeted by the lovely Lesley in the play area, she went above and beyond to make our sitting just perfect, nothing was a problem to her and she always had a smile on her face, her customer service was exceptional. Next time we are in area we will definitely be returning. Thank you !!

I haven't been here for a while, but I called in the other day for their breakfast with family and I'm happy to say the service is still first rate. The staff were very helpful with my sisters dietary requirements, they were able to advise her on the possible allergens quickly and thoroughly. Also its lovely to see a pub with some decent veggie options in the breakfast menu!

As a family we regularly use the Brewers Fayre at Tindale,Today was supposed to be a birthday breakfast for my daughter.We booked a table as usual.I had to go and chase a waiter to take our orders,We waited early 40 minutes and the breakfast finally arrived after I had asked the manager where was our food.My daughter is a vegetarian and she ordered veggie bacon and eggs,Her meal turned up with Meat sausages on her plate which she returned.On Two of our meals the bacon was cold and the fried eggs were not even warm.We sent them back as wellThere was no availability of croissants or cakes available until we asked for them.Overall this was the worst breakfast we have had there.

Went here for first time on Xmas day for Xmas lunch. Food was OK and it was reasonably well organised but it felt like we had all three courses together before having to leave as you only get 2 hour timeslot. Will try somewhere else Xmas 2024

Todays experience it rubbish - stassy never made eye contact when taking our food n drinks order showed no enthusiasm and then had to void order and restart, took ages for her to make a simple mock tail when she eventually found the sheet with the ingredients in to use. Amazing Amelia brought starters then came with said starters again. Sent back. Then she came back over to check our order - first order had not been cancelled with kitchen !! Gave us second staters as they were going to waste!! Amelia was only member of staff that seemed to be on the ball today. Sat nearly 3 quarters hour waiting for mains!! Back to bar to order more drinks. One person serving and a long line of customers. Only to be told they ran out of jack Daniels a few days ago and not got anymore in ?? By time go back to table My meal was lukewarm - thankfully my family had eaten their food and said it had been hot . Been there numerous times and normally fine Abut today was a bit of a shambles. Tindale Crossing sort your staff- stock up on alcohol and learn them to communicate with kitchen staff and teach how to make simple mocktails
