Brewers Fayre Lodmoor in Weymouth and Portland

Staff were friendly but sadly the food wasnt as expected. Jacket potato was fine but the Chipotle chilli beef lacked beef sadly - just juice and a few chilli beans... no meat at all. The chicken curry had a few pieces of chicken but sadly was similar to the chilli with hardly any meat in it. We informed the waitress who said she'd speak to the kitchen staff. When she delivered our sweets there was no feedback from the kitchen staff - we didnt hang around to find out any more, just left as a little disappointed. Will think twice before stopping there again !

Stopped here to have a lovely family meal as a treat. Prices were pretty good. The food was super yummy and lots of it. Everyone loved the bottomless soft drinks. The staff were amazing and helped whenever we asked for something. 2 out of 4 of my children loved the soft play area (I have a 13 year old, 9 year old, 5 year old and a 4 month old. 9 & 5 went in the play area) she still had a little room left for some pudding and wow what a treat. 2 of my children had the yummy pancakes with fresh banana, cream and chocolate sauce and they absolutely loved it. All round a great meal, great staff, great atmosphere and very welcoming. Will be back very soon.

We went for breakfast because kids eat free, the hash browns were dry and overcooked, there were no mushrooms, there were no croissants as stated on the menu. It was ok but not great, would go elsewhere next time.

We always stay at the Premier Inn, Weymouth Seafront, and eat at the Lodmoor Brewers Fayre when visiting our daughter. Once again, on this occasion, the restaurant did not disappoint. The Breakfasts were lovely and the Evening Dinner menu is very varied. All our meals were delicious, cooked to perfection and served by friendly, polite and efficient staff. On our first evening we just went in for drinks and, as always, the atmosphere was welcoming. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Don’t waste your time or money. We are always looking for places with soft play and lunch for our children. Pay £3.50 for parking, walk in to the restaurant to be completely disappointed - Soft play closed every time and food is below average. Don’t bother trying to ring the restaurant as although it’s 2025 I don’t think they know what a phone is. They advertise soft play but it’s never open so in my opinion I would just have it removed from the website. Wouldn’t recommend anything at this place as staff aren’t helpful at all and nothing is worth the money unfortunately. I’m surprised this place is still open for business.

Having eaten 3 times while staying in the Premier inn, the food has been awful.. the bar closing on Saturday night at 9.50... having been told yes we can have 1 more drink.... then told no by the manager as he'd already cashed up... then refused his name... just atrocious, book somewhere else whatever you do...

This is my first time to have a breakfast here. My friends and I enjoyed the unlimited meal. They have vegetarian option just ask Megan the reciptionStaff is lovely Megan was very accommodating and friendly. I'll come back again to bring my husband and Best recommended

First visit after a really bad experience nearly 10 years ago. Went in purely for a drink on the way home. After the warm welcome we received from Georgia and Lewis, we found a table which was clean (unlike the last time), so decided to give a second chance with regard to the food. We had starters and Fish and chips for main course. The food was hot, great potions and very tasty, a complete turnaround from last visit. Will definitely good back again. I would like to add, had the welcome from Georgia and Lewis not been as it was, we may not have given a second chance but glad we did. Thank you both.

As always an excellent value for money lunch in a pleasant and clean restaurant. Megan, our waitress was helpful and kind - she always goes the extra mile. I'll be visiting with family on Sunday and am looking forward to that very much.

Nice lunch with family + friends. Lewis dealt well with a minor issue where an item had to be changed due to an error on my part, not haut cuisine but good basic pub food.

Great value delicious Carvary, with lots of extras. We were a large family booking and we were well received, given a nice table all together and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Atmosphere was great and all the staff were polite and attentive, especially Andy the manager, who circulated amongst the tables ensuring smooth running of the lunchtime session. We popped in for a meal while staying in Weymouth for the week. A lovely lad served us and was super friendly (shame I didn’t get his name) We have 1 member of the family who needs gluten free this was catered for and his meal was bought out separately so the waiter could wash hands inbetween which was impressive to know. The other staff were also very friendly. Food was lovely and good sized meals. Couldn’t fault it.

Very pleased to say things have changed for the better. We had breakfast there was 5 of us . The food wasso m I ch better & all cooked properly the service was amazing. Staff wer great 2 members stuck out Dominic & Stef both new there jobs very well . Nothing was to much trouble & wer constantly Happy. Would definitely recommend to friends & family

Me and my partner went to brewers fayre Lodmoore at the weekend and our host Lizzie was absolutely fantastic!!! She was so friendly and approachable, nothing was to much for her. She was constantly smiling and made our dining experience one to remember. She should be recognized for her wonderful customer service. This is our 2nd time going and both times we have had Lizzie as our host, she's just fantastic.

Myself and a friend with her children came in Sunday lunch time. Her son has a dairy intolerance and the waitress who took our order was very knowledgeable when taking the order and insured it was done in the right process. We didn’t catch her name. Also like to give Caitlin a special mention as she went above and beyond, she made our experience amazing! The food was also amazing. We will definitely be returning!

Brought my grandchildren for the 2:15 session, very Covid efficient and safe, excellent cleaning and Covid regulations felt very safe and clean, thank you to the girls for taking care of us!

Fantastic service and great food. Ignore the bad reviews, this place is ace. Angela was a fantastic waitress and couldn’t do it enough for us. We will definitely be coming back as soon as possible.

I was really disappointed following a walk when we decided to stop at the Lodmoor for a drink.  To my surprise, having worked at the restaurant myself for 6 years, the place was empty at 7pm on a Bank Holiday Sunday. There was one table outside and perhaps a maximum of 10 inside.  This resturant is usually packed. I asked if we wanted a drink outside if we just grabbed a table. I was told they were fully booked. I said it was only for a drink and there were probably 50 empty tables. The manager then said that they just didnt have enough staff to cope with any more. I almost laughed out loud. The place was a ghost town.  Apparently the big bosses are so desperate to hit their unrealistic targets that they aren't willing to pay enough staff. Unfortunately, the way they are going they absolutely wont hit a single target.

We had a meal deal booked as we were staying in the the Premier Inn nextdoor. Our food was lovely and the service was great. The restaurant was clean and the staff very friendly especially Rhys who was very professional and provided great service.

We ordered from the 2 for 1 offer and that was the best option. Food was good and well prepared. Our service was good and all safety measures were in place.

Friendly staff, however a bit slow but responded with a bit of prompting! Still good considering they are busy in the mornings!

Had a 4 night trip away and came here for the first night. We were disappointed, served by Lizzie who was lovely, Devore and seating cosy and comfortable, but my meal came foresters chicken arrived very small meal ,no veg,and just warm definitely not hot.We both then ordered sticky toffee pudding , these both arrived stone cold!, even the custard! We had to to return them, Another meal we witnessed going to the wrong table, with a customer bearing down on it and about to tuck in before it was realised the meal was not his, not good for Covid issues at the moment.We didn’t return , I hope they improve ,or they’ll lose customers.

We stayed next door at the premier inn.so booked a table for food. The service was really good and the food was amazing too.lots to choose from the the prices wasn’t to bad either.

Used to come here quite frequently before lockdown, popped in for a visit today for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it, staff great as alway, was lovely to catch up with them all, they happily answered all our questions and queries thank you team lodmoor!

Visited with family, staff were all friendly and helpful. Food choice is fairly limited at present but arrived quickly, was hot enough and tasted great. Doing a great job of adapting to the COVID limitations and answered every request with a “yes”. Will certainly come back again.

Booked for drinks and were absolutely delighted with the service that we also had a snack. Plenty of choice for all including non meat eaters. The cauliflower popcorn was amazing. All felt so safe with booking and socially distanced tables. The staff were absolutely super and welcoming and we were looked after by Lizzie who is a total star and an absolute credit to the hospitality industry. Cannot fault this wonderful beer garden with tasty food, lovely thoughtful service and tasty food. We will definitely return

Food is worth the money and the staff are really polite, and definitely deserve more money than they’re probably paid. Come here fairly regularly and the staff always remember us, especially Reece the manager which is a nice touch. Worth the once a week meal out treat.

We have just visited this very well run restaurant. The manager Rhys and his team were very polite and courteous. L was extremely impressed with the health and safety considerations they have put in place regarding COVID. I would certainly recommend to family and friends.

booked a table for three for festive menu ordered food was told the kitchen couldnt find the sprouts when food arrived to be honest it looked like something from a greasy spoon was very disappointed ordered three sherry trifles to be told they only have one.ONE TO AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Popped in for meal with friends, waitress Joanne was on the ball with everything, very friendly knew her job meal was lovely service very quick.

Came in for a birthday meal, there was six’s of us and the service and food was lovely. Was served by Lauren who was very friendly and helpful.

Stayed in very pleasant hotel next door for several nights. Shame we had pre-booked breakfast in this place tho. Food average, service appalling and not just the once !!!!

Went to this pub after a visit to the SeaWorld Park and mini golf. They were helpful in seating, especially as we hadn't booked. They weren't busy, the drinks arrived quite quickly the food was slow in arriving and despite reminding the manager twice. The chips were all the little bits at the bottom of the fryer that fall through the holes. Expensive for what I had - Scampi and chips.

Thanks to our waiter Rhys and his magic plate of tomato sauce sachets our daughter thoroughly enjoyed her meal, which in turn gave us an enjoyable experience too.On the serious side, our expectations weren’t to high as we have been to various Brewers Fayre’s over the years. But overall the meals were good and we had good cheerful service from Rhys and his staff.Our daughter has just informed me that she really enjoyed doing the supplied activity sheet.So we give the Lodmoor a big thumbs up.

Went here with the wife for lunch on the off chance of a table being free as we never booked and they were very accommodating. The food was top notch, my wife had the smothered chicken and I had the bbq platter, which differed ever so slightly from what the menu stated but I enjoyed it none the less. And Lauren who was serving us was very pleasant and attentive. Top marks all round.

Well booked in a couple of weeks ago as knew it would be half term when we where visiting. Picked the 6.30pm slot ( email said table had to be vacant by 8pm)Got shown to our table and given menus and waitress took our drinks order. The drinks arrived promptly and then the issues started no one came to take our food order and we ended up flagging down a waitress 15 mins after drinks came we ordered gammon with egg and pineapple and southern chicken burger and we also ordered our desserts at the same time. We then noticed a smell and realised we where sat across from the toilets. Food arrived and my gammon was covered in black bits off the grill and so was the pineapple ( see photos) chips where on the greasy side. No one came to ask if everything was ok the toilet smell got worse and the old couple behind weren’t happy either. After we finished what we could of our meals 25 minutes passed and the other table where trying to attract attention so in the end I got up and spoke to a man ( possibly the manager) and said that it seems like the two tables near the toilets have been forgotten and we wanted our desserts he said he’d send someone.. As a restaurant manager I would have personally done it myself not pass it on as the poor waitress was running around and trying to do everything. Another 10mins passed and a host brought another table it the area and we asked him for our desserts as no one had come to clear our table and also said the old couple had been waiting longer than us to order their desserts. Our desserts finally arrived at 7.50 and they where a disappointment as well ( see photos).Next morning we had booked for breakfast and that was lovely.I feel the night staff where doing their best but management should have stepped up and come face to face with customers who weren’t happy not shy away. Also if you can’t sort the toilet smell out don’t sit people near them when there where other options

We visited as a family for an evening meal. The food was good and plentiful with vegan options. We booked ahead so it was no problems getting a table. All in all a nice place to eat.

Came in recently for a breakfast. My waiter, Nathan, was extremely helpful. I asked for poached eggs which he explained are technically not on the menu but he would try his hardest to get me some. He was successful in doing so and it made my breakfast one to remember! HE IS INCREDIBLE!!!

As a rather unattractive 46 year old man, I often struggle with the dating scene. I usually never go to the restaurant, however, thought I’d try it out for this date because I was extra excited. The food and atmosphere was absolutely thrilling! To my surprise, the date agreed to meet me again!!! I can only thank the great staff and my wonderful lady who joined me

Chose to eat here as was staying at the hotel. Haven’t eaten in a brewers fayre for years. The service was brilliant and food amazing too. We really enjoyed it.

We visited the Lodmoor brewers fayre after a day in weymouth. We were just looking for somewhere for a quick evening meal and this fit the bill. Great choice of dishes at fantastic prices - we opted for the 2 for £8.99 deal and both of us had the smothered chicken which for the price was excellent value for money. On top of that, the service was brilliant. We were served by Lizzie who was really friendly & helpful and did all she could to ensure we had a spendid visit.

We really enjoy going to Brewers Fayre at Lodmoor. We feel safe there and the cleaning regime is excellent.All the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.We have been lucky enough to have Lizzie as our server who is really lovely and bubbly. She always makes us very welcome and hope to see her next time we visit.Thank you.

Just returned from a 4 night stay In Weymouth and ate here every night. The staff very friendly, it felt very co-vid safe. Hand sanitiser by the door and toilets, well spaced tables, disposable menus. Service was very good for the 1st 2 nights, a bit slow on the other 2 nights. The menu is a bit more limited than pre co-vid, but I still found something different to eat each night, the gammon and chips being my favourite. My waitress Lizzie was great, nothing was too much hassle for her.I will be returning

We visited this place twice in one week whilst on holiday as the service and the food was outstanding. Our waitress Lizzie was very polite and friendly and nothing was an issue. We will definitely be coming here again next time we are down in Weymouth.

We booked the Restaurant via the Premier Inn, Inc' the time slot for all our meals. Restaurant was well organised for entrance and exit, with numerous hand sanitizers available for use. All our Breakfast and evening meals were brought to us, and were very enjoyable. The Staff were friendly, hard working and protected around the Restaurant. Tables were well spaced out, and as soon as Diners left the tables, they were well cleaned. When booking a table for Breakfast or Dinner, ensure you don't turn up too early, as, quite rightly, you will be politely turned away and asked to return nearer your alotted time, as was witnessed when a Guest took offence at being asked to so. Good on the Staff for ensuring that this process was adhered to.

Nice place a great food however hygiene could of been better tables were sticky other wise than that the team were brilliant helpful very cosy just a shame that we had to walk over from premier inn for breakfast as they are together the company’s

We enjoyed a lovely meal at this brewers fayre. Service was excellent and timely. Another bonus is locality to the Premier Inn where we stayed overnight. Overall a most enjoyable evening.

Food nice once got it, but when ordering from the app they bought the starter and main together and then took ages with the other food. It didn't make sense. My friend got all her food and eat her starter whilst her main got cold and I waited ages for just a starter.

Whenever we visit Weymouth, my family and I always make a visit to the local Brewers Fayre. As someone who struggles with food for a number of reasons, the menu generally always has something on there that I can eat, and the team are generally very accommodating. During a family meal out, we were server by Georgia, who was nothing short of lovely, cracking jokes, and keeping spirits high, which is very rare in the current pandemic. Her attitude was fantastic, and she was apologetic when one of our meals wasn’t quite right. Overall amazing service.

Like all the premier/ restaurants we’ve visited during COVID everything was arranged and carried out very well, no worries. Lovely staff happy to help and make us welcome

Went to the Lodmoor for a family meal on the last night of holiday, the food was great but most of all the waitress we had, Georgia, was hilarious and provided the entertainment for the eve. Really nice place, really lovely staff and team and respectful of covid / felt safe. Plus charming waitress that kept us entertained all eve :).

Was staying at premier inn for 1 night on the 8th october and we decided to book the meal deal of 2 courses and a drink and breakfast, amazing value for money as it included most of there menuBut the best thing about the nice meal was the excellent service we recieved from start to finish.And even though it was very busy there were on the ball and food arrived very quickly.And they were so good with our little girl.ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING!!!!!We were served by REECE THE MANAGER and GEORGIA OUR SERVERPLEASE PASS ON MY FEEDBACK will deffo b back Mark dempsey and family

Called in today whilst waiting to check in for the premier in was served by a lovely polite young lady called Lizzie. Very polite nothing was too much trouble and a real credit to your company

We arrived for a last meal before going home from a family holiday..we were asked straight away what we wanted to eat then we waited over an hour for our food and when it did arrive the fish and chips was terrible. We called the manager over and told him there was no fish only batter and his response was oh what type of fish was it cause we have had problems with it. Does it actually matter what fish it was there was no fish. All we got was a oh do you want another fish and we said no cause that was bloody awful he then replied with ok i will write with a review. He didnt even offer a refund or any kind of refund he was damn rude. Then we sat there with dirty plates for over half hour we got completly ignored. Absolute joke this place the manager can definatly not manage anything there food is disgusting i would seriously advise that no one go to this place cause no one has a clue how to manage..or serve food..and they certaintly need a new chef cause my 10 yearold grandson can cook better. I want a refund cause im not going to let it lie

Booked online and was bit worried as had not received confirmation email, wasn't a problem as it arrived 10 minutes after we sat down! Service was slow, took drinks order and waited a while before they came and took food order. Starters were okay and arrived fairly quick. Mains arrived at table when they had not cleared the starter plates, asked if we could order more drinks and were told I will be back, 10 minutes later Lizzie came and took the drinks order. Food mediocre, then waited ages before they took desert order, sticky toffee pudding came out and was cold! Two members of staff had brought deserts - apologized and vanished! Another 15 minute wait before Lizzie (again) sorted it and got a hot sticky toffee pudding brought out! Disappointing service and won't be going back soon.

My partner and I visited here while staying in the premier inn for the weekend. I was appalled with the customer service we recieved both times we came here. Staff were uneducated on everything from their menu to covid training. Social distancing between staff was non existent and tables were not sanitized properly before we sat down. Service was slow and food was below average, until it came to them wanting us out at 9.30 to which we were not asked if we were done, just whether we were paying cash or card. I will definitely not be returning here and would not recommend.

We arrived early but got a table for drinks first. Service was very good. Covid safety was spot on. Food was lovely, cooked by Charlie and Jack.

Just had breakfast, really good, everything is bought to your table, freshly cooked, served by Joanne and Nikita, nothing was to much trouble even though they was busy, I would say a lot of thought has gone into covid precautions and it felt very face but still staying friendly. Would defiantly return.

We come here as it is a good meeting place so that our children can play while we chat with family or friends. There is always an issue with the toilets, it is not unusual to need to send back a meal.Every time we’ve been we say never again but if there is an offer on, it is sometimes worth putting up with mediocre food for the fact it is the only place with a play area.

Stayed next door at Premier Inn so visited Brewers Fayre purely for convenience especially with elderly parents. Minimal choice for vegetarians which is a poor show and current conditions shouldn’t be used as an excuse. 5 dishes to choose from which included two from starters and yes one of these was soup and one came from the child’s menu. Good place to go if you like chips as they are served with everything - boring! Big plus was being served by Lizzie who is an asset to this restaurant- very accommodating, helpful, nothing was too much trouble and always had a smile on her face. Also had breakfast here - first morning croissants etc were all on show. Second day a protective screen had been introduced. Guests not following one way system when going to cold buffet bar or to do toast.

I could not fault the service the staff where excellent and well organised. The food was good tho could of done with more chips with the burger otherwise a good meal

Staying at The Premier Inn next door, we booked our 1st evening meal at The Brewers Fayre. The Covid Safety precautions were excellent. We had just a main course of Haddock, chips and mushy peas. The fish was the best I've had for a long time. The wine was acceptable too.We had a super waitress (Lizzie) who deserves a mention. She was charming and pleasant and made us feel very welcome. Every restaurant should have a "Lizzie."This restaurant is trying hard.
