This is our favourite little place to eat in Newton Stewart and we always visit when we're in town. The staff are always super friendly and attentive, there is always a lovely atmosphere, and most of all of course, the food is always top notch. There is a great core selection of breakfasts, light lunches and main meals, and specials too. We've always been delighted with the service and quality here, which is why we keep coming back. Highly recommended! (And if you are full you can get cakes to takeaway for later!).

What a lovely find! Did trip idvisor to find the top few cafes and this one wasn't listed! As always there are others listed first for some weird reason. Anyway, we walked through the town and saw Brew Ha Ha, shich straight away looked lovely, so, we went and got cash out (cash is king!) and headed there... Locals visiting and also very friendly welcome to us on our first visit, we will definitely inspire us to go again. Very clean, lovely welcoming decor, great service, beaut breakfast sandwiches 🥪 😋 very good coffee ☕️ the flat white was so good, not only hot but great to get a good sized one too! We took away cakes for later on which were delicious 😋 We'll most definitely visit again when in the area! and, will recommend to our friends who often visit round here too. Looks like there's a great outdoor seated area too for decent days 😀

This is a warm, friendly place for a pleasant lunch, snack or just a coffee. We were wet and cold and just wanted something comforting, so both opted for a haggis and cheese panini and a coffee. There were some really tempting looking items on the specials board, especially the haggis-loaded fries. I wish we had been hungry enough to partake. They have an amazing array of cakes too. Friendly staff who checked we were satisfied with our order. I would happily call again when next in Newton Stewart.

A cold November day & we are house hunting. It is about the area as much as the home, so we called in at a small cafe on the local high street. Just looks like your average cafe. Except we tried soup, homemade & very tasty - we tried both soups on offer, & then the coffee & obviously a small piece of cake. These guys deal with all variety of customers some of whom are elderly (OK so we admir to not being even in the second flush of youth ourselves) The staff keep an eye on their patrons, nothing is too much trouble. They know their onions. What is in every product - without some crib sheet! The soup was piping hot as was the coffee - nothing to fault anywhere - except we did not have chance to experience the whole menu. If we move anywhere near, we will be forced into a much more active lifestyle - just to justify enjoying all Brew Ha Ha’s wares! The staff work very hard, are communicative & caring. Their food & refreshing drinks are of a high standard. We felt welcomed & we look forward to our next visit.

It never ceases to amaze me A: How low a standard some people are willing to accept. B: The price some people are willing to pay for awful food. C: After being charged for awful food at extortionate prices they don't complain. Brew Ha Ha, obviously, get their name because after you've had your brew etc. they laugh their cocks off all the way to the bank. What an s-h-one-t hole. After perusing the very badly formatted, extremely expensive menu the only reason we stayed was because our 85 year old father was flagging and needed sustenance from, what seemed, the only sit down cafe left on the high street. Big mistake and very disappointing as the food was inedible and was left, the £3.50 latte I don't think had ever seen a coffee bean, the hot chocolate was ver6 weak and mainly froth and on paying, when informed of our dissatisfaction, the young waiter merely said "sorry you didn't enjoy it" and proceeded to serve the next unsuspecting customer . Absolutely diabolical. DO NOT EAT/DRINK HERE unless you have a high bank balance and very, very low expectations/standards, in which case you deserve each other.

Looking for lunch and came across Brew Ha Ha and their 'secret garden' out the back. Staff were polite, prompt and eager to please. Sitting in the garden with nice weather was very pleasurable coupled with excellent food servings....the 2 x adults had toasties & coffee while the 10 yr old granddaughter had a burger. Our wee dog got nothing at that time! We shared a laugh with the fella (owner?) serving as the small one had ordered an empire biscuit with a 'pink' jelly tot but the one served had a 'green' jelly tot!!! The 10yr old piped up that she would be making a poor review due to this and, in jest, I relayed this information to the chap who took it marvellously and returned with a few pink jelly tots after offering to change the biscuit. All good fun and thanks for that little extra dialogue....it goes a long way. Would recommend without hesitation.

A great find this place turned out to be. Whether for breakfast or coffee and a cake the standard of the food was excellent and the service was warm and welcoming. They have a nice garden area out side at the rear of the building but the good old Scottish weather stopped us trying that out. Great coffee and excellent home made cakes.

Went here twice for lunch over Easter weekend - busy both days so you may need to book. There is a large garden area at the back with extra seating but the weather wasn't warm enough so everyone was sitting inside. We chose this place because of other reviews, and they were right. It's a friendly wee place, welcomes dogs and has quite an extensive menu. Mainly plain cafe food but done pretty well. Lots of very good baking as well which we sampled. We had a range of things: home-made soup, chilli, panini, chicken burger, hot chocolate, cakes aplenty. All served piping hot (not the cakes) and freshly prepared. Really good little place.

Called in today for lunch. As a vegetarian with an egg allergy, I usually struggle to find anything other than soup or variations of a cheese sandwich especially in a small town like Newton Stewart. I was pleasantly surprised to see a meat free burger on the menu and ordered it expecting the usual bland fare brought in from the freezer of the local supermarket. Quite the opposite! It was the best veggie burger I have ever tasted ; home made and full of flavour with a delicious vegan mayo sauce. The coffee was really lovely too.Thank you so much Brew Ha Ha.

Popped in for a quick coffee whilst waiting for the museum to open. Really nice coffee. My daughter had an Oreo sundae which she enjoyed. Although we didn't eat, the food coming out looked very nice. Would definitely return.

We were passing through the town and decided to stop off to have a look around. The town was short on cafe's or places to eat for lunch. We decided to have a snack at Brew Ha Ha's. We we served immediately and with good customer service. The homemade soup was to be recommended. The special of the day was very plain.

Staying at the conifer lodges and popped into town for some breakfast. We both got the big fuss , the lady came over straight away with menus and was very attentive. The chef brought through the breakfast and was very pleasant. The food was absolutely outstanding. I’m usually a picky eater , but I enjoyed every item , even though it was far too much ! Highly recommend. The cake selection was fantastic ! :)

A lovely warm welcome from the Lady serving us and so far the best breakfast I have ever had in Scotland (and I've had a few). Cafe is spotlessly clean and prices are fair, well worth a visit in my honest opinion.

This cafe served the worst scone I have ever had / didn't have. (and that's saying something as I'm in my 70s and have had a few in my time. You could build a house with a few of them. Inedible expensive rubbish. It came in a paper bag, no plate and a wooden disposable knife which struggled to cut it. The coffee was served in a paper cup. But was drinkable. Cost over £13 for two coffees and two inedible scones. I am disgusted and will definitely won't be back

Visited the Frothy this morning for the first & very last time as the cafe is closing. Whilst the cafe was comfortable the coffee wasn’t the best ever tasted and we were stunned at the price! Compared to other coffee houses close by it was surprising; could this be a reason they are not finding it profitable?
