The Brew Bar is a small establishment on the town square, not unlike a food cart for beer. The beer selection is small but good and is a bit pricier than nearby establishments. The place does not serve food itself, but on weekends rotates in a food cart. There are a few small tables inside and out. If you don’t get there early, you won’t get a seat because the place seems to be where the locals gather on a weekend evening. Like a block party. Fun to watch. A bit hard to join in because of he lack of space.

So pleased we stopped at this cafe. Really friendly staff, great coffee and shortbread and clean and tidy inside. Perfect. Only wish we could be around to try out their street food.

We went a few times whilst in Haltwhistle recently and it was great every time. Staff were lovely, street food nights are great and good vibes. I wished they stocked more local beers such as twice brewed etc.

Fantastic little bar. Really friendly and welcoming staff. Great IPA and lager from Brooklyn brewery and you can eat in when you collect food from the visiting catering vans. Serve brunch during the day. Will definitely be returning.

We were looking for somewhere to have lunch en route to Windermere from Newcastle and stopped in Haltwhistle. Brew Bar is set back slightly from the main road, roughly central in Haltwhistles main shopping area. There's plenty of signposted free parking within easy walking distance . The menu is basic but everything you want on a cold day with an assortment of breakfast or Brunch items everything from a full English to Avocado Toast. We opted for a French Toasted sandwich which was a hot sandwich filled with ham and topped with toasted cheese, accompanied by a side salad and coleslaw, and an Egg & Sausage muffin, which was an upmarket version of the McDonald's staple. Both were really tasty. The food was freshly prepared while we waited and arrived hot. Brew Bar, as the name suggests also serves draft beers. We'd certainly return next time we're in town. It's a great place to plan in a food stop.

Stopped here for lunch on hot day. Food was pretty good, especially the all-day breakfast, but would be improved if the had staff that weren't dead behind the eyes. Served by a girl who quite obviously didn't want to be there. We were still eating when she came out and stared at us and said, 'You're still at it then', and turned around and walked away. It wasn't even a question. Never....smiled....once.

Visited with family for a bit of lunch, the food was delicious and a great sized portion. The waitress who served us had an attitude that made me want to get up and leave. Miserable as sin. I dont think i will be returning due to this disappointing factor.

Went to try this place and sit outside to enjoy the sunshine in the square when one of the servers when asked stated that they only sold lagers and no British Ales. Not impressed so took my business to the neighbouring pub.

Called in for lunch - food was lovely. We had an excellent toastie, sandwich and sweet potato fries. Dog friendly and the staff were welcoming. Would definitely call again if in the area and would recommend for a lunch, snack or drink.

We visited Hexham yesterday and found this café in the Market Place, after a lovely River Tyne walk. It was quite busy at 1pm but we didn't have to wait long for our table. The girls made us feel very welcome and worked so hard while we were there clearing tables and getting everyone seated as soon as possible. My husband had a bacon sarnie and I had a ham and mushroom omelette which was so light and fluffy, delicious. Coffees were great too. Plenty of choice on the menu and great prices. Doggy friendly too with a treat for pooch 🐾

Played today, Mon 26th August, Great layout, but sadly the greens are diseased and awful, and the tee boxes are terrible, very expensive bar, and no food being served, even though there was a competition on, and the bar was busy, Sadly one to miss in the future.
