Worst takeaway in the area. £5 burger, quarter pounder. Cheese was solid, no sauce. The dog turned his nose up at it.

Been coming here since I was a kid and has always been consistently good. Portions are very well sized and priced. Always one of my choices when eating in Chester-le-Street :)

Had food at Brenda's yesterday. Food was delicious and worth the price! Will definitely be returning.

Got 3 portions of chips 2 were OK 1 was half a portion called in to shop to let them know and they were not interested in my complaint and I was told by the staff am not sure i showed them a photo i asked to see a manager but none available.chips were black last 3 times I have been.

Normally nice food today abysmal left my meal chips look 2 days old and recooked 20 times.

I had been to Brenda's today. I had fish and chips. Loved it. Affordable price. I ordered small. But the quantity served was lots more than I expected. Freshly prepared. Best customer service. I asked them if I can wait there for couple of minutes as I waiting for my daughter who was at dance asylum and it was raining outside. She said I can wait inside. Not only that, she offered me a cup of tea. Felt so nice and homely. The staff was very nice, polite and made me feel so comfortable. It was the first time I went there but I loved it. Would definitely go there once again.

Whole family on rhe bog spewing and diarrhea. Missing items sauces out of containers and all over. 2 kids i and My 6 month pregnant misses not well at all if anything happen I swear I'm going to ring environmental health on yous and sue. We would like money back doubt your are honorable enough to so so . You to clean up your act incase something like this happens again this is dangrouse your rotten food is playing with people life not just waisting people hard earned cash.

Food was pre ordered for collection via just eat, was 20 mins late, wasn't hot, chicken kebab was really fatty.

Burger didn’t even come as described, was missing onion rings and the burger patty tasted like it had come out of a tin. Tasted awful. Chips were incredibly greasy and tasted old. Kebab meat was awful. Garlic sauce didn’t even have much flavour.

I’ve ordered from this place multiple times and they’ve always cancelled my order leaving me to eat all of the bread and milk in my fridge. Whether it’s a coincidence or if the blessed Brenda herself is racist against those from Brandon I’m not too sure. The stars I’ve given are merely for the name of Brenda as that is a bloody brilliant name.

Burger patties are about as rank as South Moor Golf clubs. Is there a takeaway that doesn't use cheap, rubbish patties? Honestly, so disgusting I almost vomited in my mouth. Also the sausage meal that I ordered for my son does not say anywhere that it's a battered sausage. So much wasted money. Won't be back.

Why or why do to try to change something that was fine. The disgusting garlic sauce that has just ruined a full meal. Why put chilli powder in garlic sauce?. That's my finish with brendas you have just lost a loyal customer of 5+ yrs

Canceled my order twice with Just eat with out telling me and when I phoned they told me I was too far away to deliver. That was £48 I spent else way. Don't advistise on a delivery website if you can't follow it through!!

35 mins late, pizza dough was horrific and stuffed crust was stuffed with air. burger was cold. garlic dip was decent. best part of the meal were the chips I air fried at home to go with the burger.

Food came 40minutes late and it was quite cold.. also for the price of burgers you would think some small side would arrive too.. Update: sadly the pizza wasn’t tasty, the dough was neither raw or something off about it as it didn’t taste like normal dough and it kept breaking. Very sad.

If I could give no stars I would. Waited for over an hour for stone cold food, and when it did arrive;We received a pitta bread with our kebab that had mould on it. When we called about it, the woman was very rude and not really bothered about the problem. Feel sick to my stomach, never ever seen such a thing, avoid at all costs if you do not want food poisoning.

Came from Doncaster for a visit to Beamish museum and stopped for the night in Chester le street, went for a walk around as you do and stopped here for pie chips and mushy peas. I can't emphasize how beautiful the food was absolutely, and with amazing service.

Ordered a cheeseburger, dry stale bun. No option for no sauce on the online ordering system so specified this on the “notify the restaurant “ box. Delivered with garlic sauce, fair enough could have been missed but burger was awful quality - dry and almost meatless. Couldn’t see any cheese until I realised it was half melted mozzarella under the burger. Never had mozzarella on a cheeseburger before and it really didn’t work. Odd combination, not what I was expecting or wanted at all.

Ordered tonight, I'm pregnant and my partner diabetic. 10 mins after order was accepted it was cancelled, I'm glad after reading reviews on here. AVOID !

The shop itself is always very dirty. Bits of whatever floating in the vinegar etc big put off. Not the freshest of food either, lack in drinks only had a certain few. Staff shouting on to customers they must know at the top of there voice. Quite rough looking staff. Wouldn’t say it was family friendly for young children.

Went in today for a driving break, the blonde lady behind the counter was so attentive, nothing was too much. Very reasonable on prices and the food was great, I couldn't recommend highly enough and that lady wants a raise after the service we got she was fab. Please go and check the place out.

Got food delivered... chicken kebabs... undercooked cold pink chicken... called the shop to complain and had no joy... typical once you've paid your money is gone

Had what only could be called dumpling gravy and veg, (a few specks of mince),the wife had a piece of corned beef pie (a loverly shade of grey)after one little taste each was promptly pushed aside (it tasted sour).All washed down with a half cup of dishwater tea,what a waste of ten quid.I remember better times at this cafe,never again.

Being told it would be 5 minutes for the food at the takeaway point... to be waiting 20 minutes and then to be told it’s because the chips aren’t ready... although after being served 2 others were served chips... hardly fair and not even apologetic. Rude, rude and rude.

don't usually rant on but went there teatime only got sausage chips the sausage tasted vile think it been cooked hours ago and stood for well over time chain for heated food 'chips were barely warm mushy peas were ok but wont be rushing back

Food is good and prices are reasonable too. There is a sit in or take away option and the staff are very friendly. Fish and chips from here are great and the curry sauce is fantastic, I don't like hot curry but sometimes mild curry can be bland but not from here their curry is very tasty and goes fantastic with their fish and chips. There is also outside seating so in the fine weather (if we ever get any) you can sit outside and eat your food, this is best done on Saturday as the market is on and it's a great place to people watch.

I popped in last sunday expecting a small sort of sandwich shop.. i was totally surprised, fantastic range of hot food. I opted for mince & dumplings with a great selection of fresh veg and it was very good. I returned today with my wife and had a roast dinner with all the trimmings x2 plus 2 coffees for less than £14. I WILL BE BACK

Clean the door and the shelves. There is always stuff floating in the vinegar and blocking up the salt shakers. Don't dig your fingernails into the kabab meat. Please. There is a lot of flies too 5 stars if it was cleaner 👍😎
