Brenda’s Cafe in Derby

Enjoyed our first English breakfast! Food was great, atmosphere was perfect, but the service and staff made it even better. Highly recommend.

Went into store was asked if I wanted sauce and butter to which i responded with red sauce and butter on both.. I've ended up with 2 cobs that have brown sauce and red sauce on both that won't get eaten. I believe it's because the cafe is so noisy so staff can't hear. I'd paid 4 pound each for cobs that won't get eaten. It doesn't seem alot but they were bought out of convenience and I've had to cook my own anyway..

Great little cafe - called in to the cafe after being disappointed at the car museum nearby that stopped serving breakfast. The owner and staff all super friendly and great value breakfasts here at fantastic prices too. Couldn’t believe how busy it was - but food still came fast and hot 😋

Yesterday I went to Brenda Cafe to collect an order for delivery after I collected the food and came out the restaurant I had forgotten to shut the door because it was already opened and one of the staff which Is bit taller than everyone being really rude said me to close the door before you leave because it's cold and before i leave i saw that guy kept all his windows open when I asked y? He being pissed with my question and being rude again & again

bag leaked, lost both eggs and mushrooms from falling out, very poor packaging

Meant to order for delivery but mistakenly chose collection, rang up to see if it could be changed and was told they would deliver this personally for me for a small fee, absolutely incredible service and good food! Highly recommend

Food was beautiful, although could do with being a bit warmer and sausages are a little basic. Staff are friendly and couldn't do enough for you. When next in derby we will definitely be back 🥓 🌭 🍟🍳

Ordered my food at 11am and it eventually turned up at 1.30pm had hairs in the cob and was stone.cold due to someone actually peddling on a bloody bike to get it here a waste of £25 will never order from here again You messaged back saying that it is not under your control what vehicles uber eat delivery drivers use but forgot to mention and take responsibility for the giant black hair in the cob absolutely disgusting 🤢

I decided to give Brenda's café a try based on friend's recommendations and chose the big breakfast. The eggs and sausage were quite good, but unfortunately, the bacon and other items were overly greasy, to the point where I had to dab the bacon with a napkin to remove the excess oil. On the plus side, the delivery arrived well-packaged. Overall, it was ok, though the excessive oil was a downside

Don’t order chips with burger cuz they never give them you twice this has happened now

Do not try and have a delivery on a Saturday morning. Ordered online with uber. The delivery driver called me after he was at the resterant for over 30 minutes and I'm trying to contact the cafe by phone and just rings straight through and says that this number is no longer available when it does ring.

Lovely cafe for breakfast and lunch foods! My partner and I were in Derby for a few days and came across this little gem! Ended up going two days in a row. Staff are super friendly and food was spot on! I ordered Brenda’s Big Vege Breakfast and my partner ordered beans and eggs on toast! Will be back for sure when we’re next back in Derby!

Brilliant food. I have grabbed "Brenda's big breakfast cob 3 times on the way to work this week. It is absolutely delicious and keeps me going for several hours. The shop itself is lovely, the staff are friendly and chatty. Lovely environment. If I could I would give it a 100 star rating. Thank you guys 😊😊

The food is decent and the price is okay but they can't do collection / delivery well at all. You can call up 30 mins before but they will still start preparing only when you actually turn up. I think the same happens to the drivers when you order on deliveroo / just eat. So they will keep putting you back in the queue until you turn up and stand there for 15 mins. And they say "we wanted to give it nice and warm and fresh" for you... They play around too much with the queue in general and can't push it out quickly. Also the ventilation is poor so even turning up for 2 mins means significant grease smell.

Loved the food just a tiny bit dry without sauce but other than that it’s mine and my partners favourite breakfast place

Treat delivery drivers like total sh×t!! Place is a joke and they can't cope. Either stop delivery service and concentrate on the walk in custom or just run it as online only. You can't run both and every single delivery driver has said this. Extremely rude and unprofessional.

Amazing little cafe, staff are so friendly and hardworking. They always take time to welcome me despite how busy they are. Food arrived hot and in a timely manner. Couldn't recommend highly enough how good these guys are!

Was a little bit disappointed this time round, the bacon was soooo stringy and fatty i couldn’t eat it, the cat liked it though deffo needed a couple more minutes cooking and the egg was rock hard, no soft yoke to pop my toast in and I don’t like the white bit so that was binned too, your sausages and toast was nice though, I might give it one more go next time I fancy a fry up I’m it sure now though, I was really looking forward too it too, ihhh

Poor delivery service. As a delivery driver, this has to be one of the worst places to collect an order in Derby. When you ask the staff how long it will take they will tell you 5 mins, after 5–10 mins when you ask again they become defensive and passive-aggressive and give you attitude. They clearly can't handle the amount of orders they receive. I've seen other reviews from "disgruntled delivery drivers" and the business tries to discredit their opinion by having the stance that if you are not a customer, you can't leave a review of the business. Given that they can't give you an accurate time that it takes to make a bacon sandwich, this level of intelligence doesn't surprise me.

We went here after a festival for a revival breakfast and was not disappointed! Great food, at great prices, and really lovely staff!

Lovely welcome just before they were actually closing. But went out of their way to serve us. Enjoyed a late lunch in friendly cafe. Varied menu.

the food is usually lovely but today the egg was shocking in the sausage and egg sandwich, there was basically no egg. the hash browns were over cooked and soggy not happy

Day in derby. Just popped in to this cafe for a bite to eat. This lady greeted us and was just amazing, friendly and it was if we had known her for years. I have never known such a friendlier person. Can I just say I don't usually leave reviews, but this is the best cafe I have been in. All the staff are just so polite and Friendly. The Food is excellent, I have a good appetite and there was more than enough for me. I had a cheeseburger with salad and chips. It was not greasy in the slightest and tasted well good. The prices are good and I was made to feel exceptionally comfortable. We received the most high customer service. This cafe is very clean. I have been to cafes in derby and this one is by far the best. You won't have this experience in anywhere else, I have been in italian restaurants and bistros that do NOT offer this level of service. I rate this my no 1 cafe and will definitely be going back again soon. Excellent service, excellent staff, excellent food, excellent hygiene and cleanliness, and excellent prices, By far the best place to eat. I wouldn't go anywhere else because it is an amazing experience. Just love it here. Brenda's Breakfast is the absolute best in Derby

Been today for the first time and was absolutely remarkable, the food was 10 out of 10 and the service was amazing and will 100 percent order from here again ordered the large breakfast cob and the lads making the food were really friendly.

Breakfast all nice and fresh. Arrived well packaged, wrapped in tin foil to keep it warm. Very tasty, never disappointed with their food. Would recommend and will definitely order again.

Food= good portion size, yum and given quickly. Great customer service from Lewis and the rest of the team, Daughter also got a free Bakewell.

Ordered food 1 hour later still nothing Rang and said it would be 20 minutes Got a notification to say food has been delivered And nothing came and this was 2 hours later This isn’t the first time this has happened Absolutely disgusting

2 hours late! The food is cold. Me and my partner tried to ring the cafe over 10x to not get an answer. Absolutely shocking. Will definitely not be using this again.

Two hours after I ordered it got delivered, no longer breakfast it’s now dinner time courier was at the restaurant whilst it was being “prepared” for well over an hour apparently

Ordered this on just eat and took over 90 minutes to arrive! Shocking service

Absolutely diabolical, Placed an order with them at 10.00 , was told then it would be delivered by 10.45 then after 30 min it updated to 11.25 after another 30 min it updated to 11.45 and then 20 min later it updated to 12.25. At 12.15 I called them to ask if it is still coming. They picked up the phone, put it on the work top so you could hear what was going on in the background and when I said hello to see if anyone was actually on the phone , the phone was just put down and my order cancelled. So they didn't even have the currage to tell me that they would have to cancel the order. Absolutely disgusting. I will definitely not order here ever again.

my first order was refunded and the cafe rang me up and said my order was nearly completed so re-order and it can be on its way. so i re-ordered and after 45mins i rang the shop the person apologised and said he would deliver it himself and give me some free drinks as an apology at about 30 minutes later the just driver left the shop. So a second order was place at 10.25am the food delivered just after 12pm i will never use them again.

Staff are amazing food is beyond amazing I won't ever go anywhere else for breakfast I'd give it a million stars if I could
