Hubby and me decided to have an early lunch here today (Tuesday). We parked for free on the industrial estate. The weather was wild (cold/wet/windy) but it was warm and welcoming inside this Cafe which is a family-run business. We chose a small table for 2. I went to the counter (where you help yourself to sauce sachets) and placed our order which totalled £12.50 (a fair price). I was able to pay by card (contactless) which was much more convenient than the last time we visited when they only accepted cash payments. We enjoyed our big mugs of tea (free refills) whilst we waited for our food to be freshly cooked. The chef was also busy preparing takeaway orders.

Decided to eat breakfast here while in the area, first impressions were on how clean it was. Breakfast was superb and you could swap items if you wanted something else. Kids enjoyed their breakfast would definitely return if in the area

30/10/2018: I needed lunch in Dolgellau. I found this place on TA. No regrets. I had scrambled eggs on toast followed by a superb pistachio and ginger (I think!) carrot cake. I came back at the end of the week with my granddaughter and had the full Welsh breakfast.
10/11/2018: We have used Roberts frequently during our regular stays in Dolgellau. The food and service are great and the rustic charm is very good. However, its not that cheap and in places it it starting to feel a bit grungy, especially upstairs. It’s not bad, but I do think that the rustic element is giving way to a more grungy appearance. All that said, its an interesting places to visit.

Tafarn y Gader Tapas, Bistro & Bar

19/10/2018: DIned here on a mid-week evening and was surprised how busy the restaurant was. We were served drinks pretty quickly and our food order was taken promptly but there was quite a wait until the food arrived and it also came in dribs and drabs. The tapas was fairly average although the choice on the menu was good. Staff were friendly but there seemed to be only one person front of house and the poor guy was clearly rushed off his feet. In the end we skipped a dessert because we just couldn't stand waiting any longer. To be fair the waiter did apologise about the poor service which we did appreciate.
24/10/2018: Dropped in here after original choice for food was full, ordered the mixed tapas for two but scoffed the lot myself! Washed this down with cold cider, so full that the great looking desserts were out of the question. Pleasant attentive staff and the decor comfortable.
