Bread Street Kitchen & Bar - Ealing in Ealing

We had the "Fish and Chips" and "The Next Level" burger. Food was very good. Burger was one of the best. Burgers in the UK are finally rivaling or exceeding the quality of what one is used to in the US. Fish and Chips was also very good. Large fish and not overly covered with batter. The food took longer than I had hoped to arrive, but to me that meant it was fresh. Service was enthusiastic but it seems like wait staff are getting younger and younger and maybe not so well-trained by the standards of us "more experienced" folks. The place was almost empty compared to neighboring eateries which seemed quite crowded. Maybe it's a couple quid more expensive than the other places, but we enjoy privacy and not having to shout to make ourselves heard. The best deals are the 2 or 3 course prix fixe menus. Choosing from that menu we got a dessert for an extra couple of pounds rather than the 5 pound+ a la carte price. I would eat here again as the choice of very good restaurants in Ealing is not great.

The food was superb and service was impeccable. The only note is the manager who was serving us looked very scruffy, with a very poorly kept beard and very messy hair, reminiscent of a homeless man.

When you see Gordon's name, you expect the food to be exceptional, however, in our case we sadly did not enjoy our visit. We ordered three burgers and they were either dry, tasteless or lacking ingredients to make them pop. Although, one of us had a steak which was really good! The interior and vibe was great. We have been to few Gordon's restaurants and this one, by far, has the lowest score.

Overall good but .. the waitress was poor. We had booked a table but on arrival she was not expecting us. We had booked for the set menu but only the a la carte was given to us. I asked for set menu after I realised. We ordered to be told that the starter we both wanted was off the menu that night. Second choice starters now came from main menu at greater cost. Food was good quality and taste. Red pepper soup, Mac and cheese, fish and chips, and margarita pizza. Ended more expensive because of the menu selection problems ! Not happy about that /service. Food was tasty though.

I must admit that I was a bit nervous about going to this restaurant. I had read reviews before that were not overly glowing and I was a little nervous that the price point would be very high. Having visited on Sunday I can only commend everyone to give this restaurant a go. We weren't a particularly easy group - 13 people. We were celebrating an 11th birthday and yes quite a few speeches - most of which were from the 11 year old! Our waiter was a little flustered but considering we asked him to split the bill four ways, I thought he dealt with the challenge pretty well. The food was great. Fish and chips dish was fantastic - not too greasy and the batter was moorish. The curry meal we ordered was also top class. Pizzas were large, fresh and well cooked and the desserts we had were also very good. If you are a large family you'll be delighted to know that kids eat free, so great for families. I thought the bill was very reasonable, especially when you consider the quality you get, so yes I would visit again, maybe for brunch.

Very attentive waiter, food was really good.. however the drinks took far too long to arrive! These are the kind of things you don’t expect from a Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant, and it is a shame. Keep it up with the food and attentiveness, but improve the speed on drinks.

The food were so delicious. We had Cod and butter chicken curry which is highly recommended. The cocktails also were nice one of our favourite was Raspberry mojito. Also the venue was really calming which is made us more comfortable to dine. We probably might comeback soon.

Service was amazing staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming. Burger was cooked to perfection, pizza Diablo waffle was nice. Peach cobbler waffle was really bland, presentation of all dishes was amazing.

Great Brunch & dining out experience. Also lovely spot for an evening out. Such a lovely atmosphere

Appalling food, lovely staff but slow service. All five of us were bitterly disappointed. Ramsay needs to get his act together at this place

We went in for breakfast as walk in and we’re accommodated we sat down and ordered breakfast was averagely nice but the toast came with no butter and no vegan butter for my vegan breakfast. Half way through our breakfast workmen turned up to do work on the outside directly outside the window we were sitting at loud banging and noises plus someone basically standing the other side of the window, there was no offer of us moving tables or anything we even notice on our receipt (after we left) they had the cheek to charge a service charge automatically.

Uninterested non attentive staff The Sunday lunch was a disgrace The “roast “potatoes were very obviously boiled that morning and then fried over in a pan they tasted stale the gravy was cold and tasteless the carrots and cabbage were quite nice however the tiny portion of two tiny pieces of roast beef was chewy gristly and tasteless looked like it had been under the hot lamps for about an hour A complete disappointment

We arrived at 10:30 as booked table for breakfast. We’re shown to our seats and given water, we waited and had to ask for coffee, we ther ( at 10:50 ) ordered breakfast. Porridge followed by traditional cooked. At 11;35 cooked arrived for 3 of the 4 of us, 11:39 4th breakfast arrived and at 11:40 the porridge arrived, 4th breakfast was cold so sent it back. Finally got out of there at 12:40. Told manager about service and cold food, no response, came to pay the bill and refused to pay service , manager said why you not like my service 🤷🏼‍♂️. Will never go again, Ramsey when you are shouting at other restaurant owners remember people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones rating for me is 1 out of 5

Ealing is filled with an array of cafes, bars and restaurants, so one can easily find a place that meets the needs and the type of food they’re after. However, not every restaurant can offer Paulo and his team. I have frequented most restaurants in Ealing but now will go to Bread Street Cafe every time because of Paulo, Carolina and the team. Eating out at your local restaurant should be about the food, the drink but also the ambience and community feel - they get this right every time! It is a joy to come along and try different dishes on the menu, whilst also having friendly chats with Paulo. A big thank you to this fantastic man and his team for always making me feel so welcome.

On my way into work decided to drop in as it looked nice for breakfast. No idea how good the food is as I was refused a table as they were only accepting bookings. Asked if they were fully booked and was told no. There was only one other table sat down in the entire restaurant. Not the best experience.
