Brassia Restaurant in Bournemouth

Food was excellent. Well presented, good flavour. We had the Moules, lamb rump, steak and stone bass between us - and a generous portion of veg and potato for our 11 month old. Everything went down very well. Restaurant had nice classy feel. Would recommend!

We decided to try this restaurant as it was just 2 min walk from our hotel. We booked table for 5 people on the first night and for 3 of us on the second night. The food was delicious, well presented and service was excellent! They had only 5 starters and 6 mains to choose but it’s a good sign from my point of view as chef knows what he is doing. They also had a good choice for my son. We can’t wait to come back here again.

Brassia is kennelijk net opnieuw begonnen. Ze zijn nog wat voorzichtig met reserveringen. Nodig is dat niet; ze serveren uitstekende gerechten in een behoorlijk tempo. Wij hadden de in biet gegaarde zalm als voorgerecht, en de mosselen en entrecote als hoofdgerecht. Alle gerechten bevielen goed; de entrecote was goed gebakken, krokant aan de buitenkant, rood van binnen, zoals gevraagd. De mosselen waren goed van kwaliteit, in een soort romige en smakelijke vissoep. De in biet gegaarde zalm smaakte goed.

We had booked the restaurant for two for august 23rd. Upon arrival the gentleman David at the desk was not very pleasant informing us that the restaurant was closed as the Chef had walked away and that we were informed by telephone. I said that we had not received any phone call, but he insisted that they had. David was not very helpful. The following day I telephoned and was hold for a long time. Rebooked for September 6th and was told they were not sure if the restaurant would be open but have booked us and will call if there is a cancellation. We wait and see what happens.
