We were in Cardigan for a few days and visited a lot of local restaurants. This was the best by far. Food is excellent, service spot on and prices reasonable. Quirky location but worth finding. We loved it and will certainly be back on our next visit. 10/10.

What an amazing restaurant, fabulous food, brilliant wine list of natural and organic wine, great vibe and a really helpful approach to dietary need (in my case gluten free vegetarian). We had a really friendly welcome and will definitely be back for more.

Was a beautiful evening on 12th of June, so decided to get a take-away & eat & Poppit sands. Actual place is like school canteen/warehouse. Ordered 2 chicken burgers & fries with 'rosemary salt'. Opened up box's on arrival and had to pour water out of burger box's. Food was as best disappointing. For £34 it was outrageous. Grim, bland offering. Ate at St Dogmael's chippy later in week & got better food for half the price, with lovely staff. I hope the Mexican restaurant returns SOON.

Exceptional. Delicious starters with a fine dining flair, cooked to perfection. Aubergine schnitzel was melting in the mouth, the grilled Asparagus with almonds, cheese and an unbelievably simple and yet delightful pesto made with local foraged herbs were delicious: in theory simple dishes to make and yet delightfully surprising in the little details and love that Ella put in them! And let’s add the fact that the whitebaits starter were cooked perfectly: not oily, tasty, perfect with the Welsh white and rose wines Mattia suggested to pair the starters with. The burgers were delicious too: Ella cooked a fine dining twist in both the chicken and beef burger: clearly dishes made with love and with good technical training from her fine dining previous experiences. This place is more than a good stop for a meal: we got so much knowledge from this young couple in terms of foraging local herbs for making a delicious pesto, or the know how with pairing unusual organic wines (including little gems like the white aromatic or dessert Welsh local varieties. A fun place, great food for dinner, a delightful way to engage our knowledge of Welsh (and more broadly European) organic wines and on top we felt we spent money to support a good entrepreneurial project. Fantastic to say it in one word :-)

Went with friends and had a lovely meal. Relaxed small place. Very friendly with good food and excellent service. Small menu with some starters and a range of burgers and sides to suit all tastes. The food was very tasty and varied. Great cocktails and wine list was good for a small place. Good value too. We really enjoyed the night.

Arrived at 3:05 made eye contact with staff and told to take a seat. Left at 3:25 no one had come to take my order or even interact with me. Staff have plenty of time to chat with customers who are eating or who have paid but don't always pay attention to those who have just come in. This is not the first time this has happened. Previous visits have been okay following an excellent initial visit. Won't be going back.

We chanced upon this cafe whilst in the area. What a great find! We were served by a really friendly Italian chap, who was great with my kids. We went in for some elevenses tea and cake but ended up with sticky toffee pudding and custard, crumble and custard and a Victoria sponge. All we're delicious.

The Pentre Arms, as usual was excellent. Great welcome, great food, friendly staff and good standard of accommodation. The only shame about visiting this village is that the so called village shop is NEVER open. It could be such an asset for all, local people and visitors. It looks so scruffy and an eyesore to.the area.

Fabulous Sunday lunch with very generous portions. The cauliflower cheese and red cabbage were excellent table additions and all in very reasonably priced. Prompt and friendly service. We were too stuffed to have puddings though they also looked delicious. We will be back.

Visited the restaurant on Wednesday night and managed to get a table but definitely think you would have to book on a weekend which speaks to how good this restaurant is. We had the goats cheese and scallops to start, fillet steak and pork belly for mains with a side of seasonal veg and were too full for desert. It was great quality, very well cooked tasty food combined with fantastic service. A great visit!
