My Husband and I decided to pop into Newport last Sunday afternoon on our way home. We just wanted coffee and cake but wanted to try somewhere different and we found this cafe. We chose two homemade cakes and I can honestly say they were probably the best I have ever had. My Husband’s coffee was smooth with no bitter taste and my latte was delicious. I love that the “complimentary” biscuits with the coffee were homemade too. The service was excellent from the moment we walked in until we left. The three young girls, Beth, Mia and Charlotte were friendly, knowledgeable about the products they were selling and nothing was too much trouble. Next time we are in Newport we will definitely have lunch as their menu looks amazing and prices seem very reasonable. Plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside back and front which is great, especially now summer appears to have arrived. Next time you are in Newport treat yourself and visit this gem, you won’t be disappointed 😊😊

We visited twice over the Easter Bank Holiday & we will be returning..... Staff were lovely & the food was perfect. Poached Eggs were cooked to perfection & the Scrambled Cheesy Eggs were so tasty - thank you :)

We have visited this place before and have had positive experiences however, today was the exception. My husband forgot to ask for water to accompany our coffee so I offered to get some. I approached the person on the coffee machine as the other staff member was busy. She looked at me as though I was something on her shoe and when I asked for a glass of tap water she rudely said she'd bring it over. When she bought our coffee we were in conversation and she asked who's was the Americano, because we didn't answer directly she rudely repeated it loudly as though we were naughty children. The lady on the next table to us said "I thought it was just me" as she'd had a similar experience with her. It's really put us off coming and we'll be looking at alternatives when visiting the town.

A little expensive but very nice food.well cooked and presented. Friendly atmosphere but the music is way too loud and too modern

Unfortunately there must have been some cross contamination with the milk during the barista process. My daughter who is highly allergic to milk requested a soya hot chocolate, she did note that it looked too white for soya milk and only took a small sip off a teaspoon and came out in hives and her tongue started to swell. I approached the woman at the counter who said she had only used soya, my daughter had medication on hand and the woman did give her a glass of blackcurrant so she could get the taste out of her mouth. What was to be a cosy mother and daughter coffee time ended up being spoilt. Even though my coffee was good and this place had been recommended, we won’t be coming back again.

Found this by accident but were very happy to be able to sit outside in the sun next to the postbox! Some tables outdoors had not been cleared though which needs to be looked at more often by staff. The menu had good choices and nice range. My husband had the vegetarian hash for £9 - excellent choice, good size nicely presented and very tasty with two beautifully cooked fried eggs and a lovely hash mix! Would definitely have that next time! Mine was the Mediterranean ciabatta, £8.50 with coleslaw on side and crisps. Good size and well filled. Hot and tasty ! Pot of tea for one would serve two, and then order another pot later to ensure hot. Good prices, good service, good meal choices and range of cakes as well. Worth a visit or more!

Great coffee and lovely staff. Why are dogs allowed to be at the table, this puts people off eating when a dog has been panting and licking the table. This is from someone who respects dogs.

Three of us had a variety of good, cooked and caked. The eggs and pancetta benny was really good with melt in the mouth pancetta. Cakes are very filling!! The apple and cinnamon blonde was particularly wonderful. Clean loo, but downstairs so not so good for mobility impaired customers. Tea was teapig so tasty and great coffee too. Recommended.

Glad to have finally visited, the owner used to deliver fresh vegetables, fruit and eggs to me at home. Lovely family Dimitri and Amy are an excellent team and always friendly. Will be back

Called in for a coffee and cake while shopping in Newport. Lovely atmosphere and very busy, we had cappuccino and a pistachio cake which was one of many fabulous cakes on offer. Cake was delicious and a lovely coffee. Staff were very friendly. Will definitely return next time i am in Newport.

Visited today Friday, so the town was busy as was this cafe. I ordered a buttered tea cake and a cup of tea. Sadly the tea cake was very doughy and with little fruit. It was already ‘buttered’. I wonder if it was butter or spread? Tea was served in an iron style Chinese teapot. They look nice but are extremely heavy to lift. I felt the price was expensive and no I was not impressed and unlikely to return. There are better places for a tea cake and a cup of tea in Newport.

The best poached eggs on toast I have tasted for years. Lovely service with a smile, and clean , bright surroundings. Highly recommend .

A must visit coffee house. A great tasting avacado on tost with perfectly poached eggs. The orange hot chocolate was excellent. Staff were pleasant, helpful and very efficient. Only wish I lived closer to Newport so I could visit regularly. I am at loss to understand the July 2022 review by F2394CEadamb and in my opinion they must have been in a totally different establishment.

Just wanted to say I had the Best flat white today. It really hit the spot. Perfectly made and delicious to the last drop. I also had a awesome White Blondie , perfect. Hard to choose just one because all the cakes looked delicious. Gorgeous little cafe in the middle of Newport. I recommend a visit .

Popped in for a Valentines brunch! Decor and feel the place was spot on. Wonderfully surprised, food, service and and coffees were excellent!! Why we haven’t been before I am unsure!! Will definitely be returning!!

This was virtually the only source of food and comfort on a Sunday lunchtime. The staff were very helpful and polite. Good range of homemade cakes.

A small coffee shop in Newport that does great coffee and wonderful cakes. Also has a small menu for all day food. Lovely staff and owners, always ready with a smile.

Very rude staff Very over priced Asked if the kids ham sandwich could not come in kids box as it’s for a 14 year old and got a very rude reply Would not recommend Such a shame there are many good pleases to go in newport but this is joy one of them

Wow what an amazing little place. The salad I had was the best I have ever had. So fresh so mixed, everything you could wish for on a Salad. It was a large dish and one I couldn’t finish so took home with me. The staff were very friendly and so lovely. I’ve never been to Newport before. Thank you for making our day. Please visit.

Great venue, friendly staff and really good coffee. Cakes were yummy. Would definitely return when in Newport, although it's not a place we visit often.

Great shop with great coffee and a lovely eggs Benedict for breakfast . The staff were really friendly and attention to detail was great. I spilt my coffee (my fault not the staff) and the lady serving was quick to clean my table and give me a new saucer for my cup great experience before work on a Saturday morning thankyou
