Been past this gem of a cafe a few times and finally agreed to pay them a visit. Friendly welcoming staff, nicely decorated well laid out premises with a good choice of food and drinks on the breakfast menu. Both my wife and I agreed the breakfast, served in a timely manner and piping hot, was one of the best we’ve had in any cafe or hotel we’ve been too in the past. A good selection of cakes so we took some home for later in the day. Beautifully baked and extremely tasty with the Pina Colada cake a real favourite! We will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Have always found the box of cakes to be a little gem, the breakfast was always delicious hot and fresh, until today, ordered our usual breakfast unfortunately today it was cold, not just some but everything on the plate was cold to touch. Such a shame that when informing Emma she went on the defensive and basically said that we were wrong/lying, she said it’s temperature controlled, obviously for a toddler what can’t eat hot food, then proceeded to ask the next table about his food, said that she cooked it all at once, well he had already ordered when we sat down and received his a good 5 minutes before we did. No offer of a freshly cooked breakfast as we had according to her eaten half of it, we tried a bit… cold didn’t eat it. Needless to say we won’t be back and no more recommendations from us in future

We have had breakfast here on several occasions and it has always been lovely however this morning was a totally different experience. We both ordered the small breakfast with toast, cost £7.50 which is very reasonable considering the quality of ingredients used. On receiving our breakfast it was obvious from the start that the beans were lukewarm at best. I tried the sausage, again lukewarm as was the bacon and the mushrooms. I didn’t try the egg or hash brown as by then what was the point. My sister did and she said they were also barely warm. She went to find someone to complain but on trying to enter the room to speak to a staff member was rudely shouted at “you can’t come in here”. She told them the breakfast was cold and the waitress then came and removed the plates. Several minutes later the owner Emma came over and asked us if we wanted to have our cups of tea free and it was obvious she wasn’t going to redo breakfast. She told us the food is temperature controlled, we’re not toddlers we can eat hot food and that the plates are hot. They were not. She then proceeded to tell us that the breakfasts were half eaten ( my sister tried a very small bite of everything to check the temperature. ) She then also then asked another customer about his breakfast and he said his was fine. She said they were all cooked at the same time. Perhaps they were but his breakfast was served a good 5 mins before ours as he was already seated when we arrived. She was so loud and completely rude and it was unnecessary to basically accuse paying customers of lying. We just left feeling humiliated. We have on previous visits praised her breakfast to her so she knows who we are and this behavior was a complete shock. Will not return.

This spot is an absolute gem in stotfold! They do a nice variety of lunches and breakfasts. BUT….the cakes are INCREDIBLE! Just had their homemade brownie! It was so thick, gooey and the best brownie I have ever had!! All their cakes are homemade and offer generous portions for amazing prices! The ladies that run this place are so friendly and inviting! THANK YOU 💜

Emma and Hannah created a details masterpiece which had everyone (including the venue) in awe! Not only was the cake tiers different flavours which were all delicious. The decoration was next level and the attention to detail was superb! Value for money and really made our day with our dream cake. We also had 12 gluten free cupcakes for any guests who had dietary restrictions. I was told they were light, fluffy and tasty! We have visited the cafe multiple times to talk about the cake and on each occasion the food, and desserts or drinks were good value for money and the service was impressive. I would totally recommend this business for both a bespoke cake for any celebration and for a quick lunch stop or a coffee date with a friend. We can’t wait to go back!

I found box of cakes on trip advisor after reading the reviews I decided to visit for a lunch time break. What a lovely place. The main dining room was full so I was offered a seat in the rear dinning room which was very nicely decorated. I had a breakfast bap wow it was a large bap with sausage, bacon and fried egg.I was full after that and still full at tea time. I also had a really nice cappuccino coffee. Add to that all the staff where really friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to any body and I will definitely return again. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely visit

This place is local to us, but we had never visited - time to do so now! We had a simple lunch, as dinner at home was planned out. So I had the baked potato and the lady had the soup of the day. My potato was baked to perfection and the tuna topping was liberal and tasty. The soup was OK, but a bit laden with rice. Prcies are reasonable, but EO2HO made it very good value. If you are at all concerned about the "virus", be assured that this venue takes its responsibilites seriously; there is even a corner for eating outside.

Just got a scone and a slice of carrot cake from here. Sadly the scone was soft and brittle which made it impossible to eat as if just turns to crumbs. My carrot cake tastes nice but it is the worlds smallest slice for £3.25. Places like costa or days cost around £3.25 max for a slice of carrot cake but are double the size. Sadly won’t be coming back.

A little gem in Stotfold and one I will be going back to again. Lovely little place for lunch (although breakfast looked great as well) with homemade cakes for a treat afterwards. Great value and lovely people.

We visited on a whim for a coffee and the chocolate cake looked too tempting to miss so it was added to the order. So delicious and large enough for two to enjoy with a coffee, very pleased to have visited.

Box of cakes is run by the lovely Emma . We have eaten there just a few times and as a treat for our grandaughter before she returns to school we decided to try the lunch menu . What e delight, jacket potato, quiche , and tea cake with real home made jam. The salads were well presented and good helpings. Cake to follow all made by Emma. A great lunch and reasonable price. This made for end of summer holiday a real treat. We are looking forward to the afternoon tea at Box of Cakes, a late Christmas gift . Very well worth a visit, plenty of room and parking is free.

Visited for coffee and cake, apparently this has been taken over recently so the current service does not seem to reflect the previous reviews on this site. We waited for ages for a couple of coffees and cake to be brought over, was also pretty smoky in there from whatever was cooking. Plus point was that the cakes we had were really nice, the coffee was nice but lukewarm and the 15 minutes it took to get them wasn't great. Also, some of the décor is a bit worn out. The place was not busy when we visited mid-morning so could really do a lot better.

We went for breakfast and really enjoyed it. Our breakfast cost £14 which included a drink. The hot chocolate was delicious and food was lovely with great variety. Only thing we would say, the breakfast would benefit from some maple syrup/butter for the waffle in particular. The man that served us was lovely. Thank you.

Nice place to stop on walk around Woburn deer park. Good beers, great sausage rolls and other bar snacks. Not the cheapest and service can be very slow at times, but it is still a lovely place to stop.

Were not allowed to sit down inside because "we can push tables closer". There were more free tables than taken.

Hot & cold drinks, bacon / sausage sandwiches, excellent sausage rolls (very good quality) pastries etc Lots of outside seating, geared towards cyclists there are bicycle racks and a sales / repair shop on site. The owner is friendly and it seems very popular as lots of cyclists came and went while we were there. Would definitely visit again when I’m next in the area.
