We have just had the most awful lunch at this cafe. Firstly we could order our first two choices from the menu, this was at 1pm and no soup or bacon sandwiches. We reluctantly opted for a quiche which was so salty we had to leave most of it. The second meal was a simple sausage sandwich, the sausages had obviously been kept warm so were dried out and burnt most of this was left as was inedible. Finally we had a chocolate muffin which was too dry so had to leave that as well. All in all this was a terrible meal and a complete waste of £20. I will not be returning.

Never again! Soup of the day was served in a massive bowl and they filled like a centimetre in the bottom with soup. I would suggest either getting smaller bowls or give people the amount that they’re actually paying for. Staff are not very friendly, could hardly get through the line of tables with our wheelchair. £3.50 for the tiniest piece of cake. No value for money at all. They took ages to bring out a simple jacket potato with butter.

We are fairly regular visitors to Boundary Mill. Over recent times, the offering at their cafe has become more poor and more pricey! Less choice of food (particularly vegetarian options) and quality of the food is hit and miss. Jacket potatoes no longer come with a side salad which means less value for money, especially as the cost of said jacket potatoes have risen. One of the sandwiches was nearly £5, which was extortionate! Even Costa don’t charge that much for their high-end sandwiches! Crumpets tasted average - expected 3 for the price, but only 2 received and they were not warm enough. You could help yourself to butter and preserves. Pots of tea are small, not full to the top and poor value. This time, the staff did at least agree to top up the empty pot with hot water, so my Mum could have an additional (small) cup of tea, however on previous visits, staff had refused to accommodate this simple request. Not hygienic that many of the cakes are in open displays, which means they have likely been contaminated with other customers’ germs. Some cakes are covered, so not sure why they can’t do this with all of them?? Despite a recent refurb, some of the chairs continue to be very uncomfortable to sit on (we swapped some chairs around to ensure we were seated on comfier ones with padding). No offers to use in the cafe, even though we are both Privilege Members - it wouldn’t take much for them to offer a free drink or cake to recognise loyalty as they have done in the past.

This has really gone downhill. Firstly, the selection of tables and chairs since they have had a refurb. There are lots of large tables to dine at for 6 or more, probably encouraging you to share. Nobody wants to! Then the food, overpriced quiche and soggy brown salad... the soup comes in extra large bowls with a tiny price of bread, but is watery. We won't be going again!

The restaurant has gone down hill considerably . The choice of food on offer is very limited, of very poor quality and is very overpriced. Some of the cafe staff are helpful, others miserable and can barely acknowledge you or even say thankyou once you have paid. What is going on? Come on people, sort yourselves out. It’s upsetting to see people (usually elderly) spending their hard earned money on low quality, low grade food. You need to step up and start implementing better quality and better service for your customers as trust me the coach trips ferrying in customers to you will stop.

Whilst the staff were trying their hardest the actual geographical organisation was very poor All we wanted was a hot drink, they had just one person struggling behind a screen. It was 11.00 am the store was not busy but the queue for the drinks stretched beyond the first fridge. Fellow customers ordered teacakes which were cold when they finally got drinks Coffee machine failed so changed my order to tea. Also noted the there was soup but this was not labeled so customers had to lift covers to find what flavours So overall very poor and won't bother next time as it just takes too long

Visit to Boundary Mills Walsall today. Went BB’s for lunch, as we had done many times in the past. The cafe has recently been refurbished but there is something missing it’s a big sign on the entrance saying “people in wheelchairs not welcome”. There are no longer tables for wheelchairs users and the new tables are not wheelchair friendly furthermore it’s impossible to get to the tables in the middle or at the back because not enough room has been left for access. We were lucky enough to get a table at the front but I had to turn my wheelchair sideways on in order to eat my sandwich. I felt very unwelcome there today and won’t be returning anytime soon .

Only had a drink, thank goodness! That was enough. The list of criticisms is long: 1. Cakes & pastries are all uncovered & I saw customers coughing & sneezing over them. 2. Tea (& coffee) comes only in miniscule cups. No saucers, no option for a pot or of a larger cup or mug. 3. I had to wait for about 5 mins whilst the guy making drinks served other customers-he was also on the till. By that time my (miniscule) drinks had gone cold. When I said 'please can I pay?', he was rude. NEVER AGAIN!! The only positive I can think of is that I don't have to go back!

There was only tea and filter coffee available for hot drinks, not hot chocolate or cappuccino etc-no water in the machine apparently. Also some advice please keep cakes covered. Visited bb’s coffee shop in Colne today. Bought a sandwich labelled crab and prawn which cost £4.75 and when I bit into it I soon realised it was crab stick not crab meat and I was lucky if I got 2 prawns cut up into bits. On reading the label at the back it read crab flavoured surimi fish flakes in simple terms crab sticks which are not crab at all. The manager came to speak to me and said they are currently looking at labelling and that this particular sandwich was very popular and around 3500 have been sold. That’s fine but doesn’t mean these people enjoyed them, and why if they know there’s a problem with the labelling are they still on sale. I could get a smoked salmon sandwich for less than that. Definitely won’t be going back.

Love Boundary Mill, been going to the Colne Store since it opened many many years ago. Always visit the Walsall Store when I’m staying at my daughter’s who lives close by. Visited on Monday 1st November, bought lots of lovely things. Went into the Restaurant for something to eat and drink, but so disappointed when we took our tray to the table. We had lovely sandwiches and cake, and two teapots full of water (well off the boil by that time, as we were unaware), and two dry teabags in a pot mug with the milk & sugar. If this is some new rule related to Covid, it is just ridiculous. You cannot make a pot of tea by dropping a tea bag in less than boiling water, it just does not work. Totally ruined our lunch. So disappointed and really hope this rule came from a Kitchen employee, and not from Management. If it came from Management, then they really have lost the plot. A pot of tea, should be just that. Not a pot of water, and it should be served with a cup and saucer, not a pot mug.

Its Ok for quick refreshment between shops otherwise don't bother. Prices have gone up and don't represent value for money for the quality of the food. Large coffee although reasonable price is only cup size although you do get a pot of tea which is good value. Cakes are over priced for quality. Usually busy as they have a captive audience the area is pretty basic and uninspiring. Clean although I always think shiny pine tables are not the best as they get sticky. On another note we were disappointed with Boundary Mills which seems to have lost the quality shops and most garments looked as if they had been well looked through - although this may be because it is end of the sale season.

I went to Boundary Mill and decided to have lunch at BB's. I am a vegetarian and also don't eat cheese or eggs. There were no sandwiches or croissants available to me as the only meat-free options had either egg or cheese. Jacket potatoes were only available, oddly, between 9.00am and 11.00am and we were there in the afternoon. The only thing available for me was carrot and coriander soup and a roll. I spoke to the manager who asked what I usually have on sandwiches and, on telling her that I have things such as hummus, roasted peppers, olives etc, was told that they couldn't stock such items as they would go to waste because no-one would eat them. She also said that they can't cater for everyone - "I mean you've got vegetarians, vegans AND gluten free" - which I thought was pretty poor coming from the manager of a cafe. I then suggested that next time I would bring my own food and was told that I can't, the reason being that the cafe is offering food (the fact that I can't eat it seems immaterial). The manager said that she would look into it but that costs would prove prohibitive so I am not holding out much hope. When we go to Boundary Mill we usually spend round about £80 to over £100 in the store and to think that I (a) can't expect to have anything that I can eat in the cafe and (b) am not allowed to take my own to eat, even if I buy a drink in there, is pretty disappointing. This cafe and its manager needs to get with the times otherwise it and Boundary Mill will certainly lose my custom.

My wife and I started coming here a couple of years ago. We have since bought lots of clothes and shoes (my wife has anyway) and found them to be of good quality. The staff are very friendly and helpful and certainly deserve a mention. Without them it would be a completely different store. They make it happen. Just wish they would make the book section bigger!

My husband and I visited boundary mill last Saturday as we have seen it advertised on the Tv,yes there are lots of different items under one roof which is good but as my husband pointed out he thought it mainly catered for women which is probably true,it was so easy to get to as just being off junction 10 would go there again perhaps near Christmas to get gifts

Needed a cuppa and a meal after spending morning shopping, The range was good with both hot and cold available and served fairly quickly. Seating not very comfortable and had the impression more of a works canteen than a restaurant. Quite expensive for what we had.

We pop top this store once or twice a year as the selection is wonderful and the prices are often greatly reduced. We always make a point of getting there early in order to enjoy a freshly cooked and substantial breakfast in the light and airy restaurant. Lovely and tasty and hot and extremely good value. Super pot of tea and gorgeous Mocha coffee..Highly recommended.

I went here to do a spot of shopping on a week night and at the time there was an offer of free cheese, biscuits and wine at the restaurant - so thought why not indulge.Only to be amazed how poor the service was as quality of the food was lovely and very filling and good portions considering it was complimentary. Unfortunately as we arrived a little later there was not any wine left, however there was orange juice available. Went to ask for a little more orange juice and was told cant have anymore and told not to touch the dispenser and the waitress got quite uptight and was no need. Another waitress that worked there came over with a glass of orange juice and said sorry for what had happened. No apology off the other one, was appalled by the service and attitude of the woman, will not be returning!!!

Boundary Mills itself seems to be a place where things are different, often quite pricey and yet for certain things seem excellent value, and usually worth a visit. We nearly always use the cafe as we travel 30 miles to reach the store, and it is very convenient for that reason. Despite the captive audience, it is high priced for what you get, but not too high to avoid going there at all.The cafe seats about 150 people on over 40 tables, I've not seen one that can take more than 4 per table not have I seen tables moved together either. It is generally light and airy, very friendly and the landscape photo at the end is awesome. The wall mirrors are sold in store and I'd be happy if they replaced the tv fashion slideshow with latest offers and bargains in store that day. Captive audience, use it!The cutlery is ok but could be cleaner, the speed of service was ok for food delivery. We visited Saturday mid-afternoon. The food choice was poor, potatoes were 30-45 minutes away, salad options turned out to be limited as we asked for the gala pie to be told they had none. The soup was dried out, I don't know how they could sell it.Then the drinks, we had to wait over 10 minutes to be served our drinks and to pay, the food arrived quicker!I've never been a great fan of their tea or coffee, certainly room to improve.Overall, it is a department store type cafe but really is not special nor different. With the store offering a unique shopping experience it would be great if that could extend to the cafe also.

I had read the reviews on this place before we entered and most people seemed to think it good value and overall a good experience. We are not from the West Midlands but if this is the cost of what people pay for clothes down here - then good luck - you should visit Liverpool and obtain some real quality value. We did make some purchases in the store but it just reminded me of a "Warehouse Type" environment with racks and racks of things placed everywhere. Space was a premium and moving around with a trolley was an experience in itself - taking extra care not to knock anything over. Bedding on offer (Sale) was good value for money - most other things had some ludicrous RRP with supposedly massive discounts off the RRP. Do not know were they obtained the RRP prices from but quite clearly "Overpriced". We did spend around 1 hour 15 minutes but at least 15 of those minutes was avoiding bumping into things - very cluttered.

The store itself has a wide range of goods, and takes a while to visit. This restaurant is useful for a Tea/Coffee and snack whilst here. It's pretty much the same as most self-service places, and can get really busy at times.

This can be extremely busy and the tables are quite close together to maximise on the space. The prices look OK - had bacon and egg sandwich and not good value - more bread than meat. Coffee seems super reasonable at 99p BUT it is brown but has no taste at all. No fresh milk just UHT tubs. Not the bargains that you get in the shopping side.

Mom in Law had worked there for a year, plus as a coach tour driver my colleagues had said it was a good stop gap or day out for passengers. It looks tiny from the outside, but inside its massive. I don't know how they can call it a day trip unless you have a load of undecisive shoppers. 4-5 hours inc lunch is all i could take.

Had lunch here following a shopping trip. Although some of the meals you think they were good value. It is not until they are served. We had a Meat filled Yorkshire- this had a small piece of the thinnest slice of meat you've ever seen! The Tuna jacket potato was ok but the coleslaw was overly charged in my opinion (i dollop for 99p!)

One hot meal made in store and run out by 5pm, shop open till 10 pm, other food are snacks but vastly overpriced, 4 pound for a sandwich, over 3 pounds for soup then you've got drinks on top. If you are heading here I wudnt rely on the cafe unless you happy spending money for not alot

We stopped here whilst on a long journey, so the café was a welcome interval. BBs Coffee shop sold a wide selection of sandwiches and hot meals at a reasonable price. Unfortunately the daily special had sold out but we enjoyed our food nevertheless. The cakes made a nice treat too! The shop itself is similar to the flagship store in Colne and has both clothing and homeware. Overall a good day out and some bargains to be had!

We never pay full price for anything - what's the point when you have places like this to shop! Lots of labels, ends of lines mostly with huge discounts. You could easily spend a whole day here and I have often. Not only clothes but kitchenware, household, shoes, gifts, luggage and handbags, cards and gift wrap - terrific savings and quality, you just need time to browse. The cafe is good too, a perfect place to stop and rest your feet and have a cup of tea. Register and go on their mailing list then you get priority notice of sales, special evenings, and free tea/coffee. Good free parking.

My friend and I came to boundary mill shopping on Friday 13th November. We decided to eat lunch in the restaurant and were very very disappointed. We both had the special, which was cottage pie. When we placed our order there were two dishes of cottage pie sitting on the counter, they were not being kept warm and were not in chaffing dishes as required by food hygiene.I think we must been served those two dishes of cottage pie as they were both barely warm and served with overcooked vegetables. All totally unappetizing.

I love my regular visits to boundary mills for shopping, but the restaurant experience always ruins the day ! Cheap and Nasty tables with the most uncomfortable chairs known to man ! Old fashioned uniforms make the staff look frumpy and uncared for and the attitude of some is so rude. Considering a large number of older customers shop here , comfort and food manners would be most welcomed by all I'm sure. Shop and go elsewhere for lunch then go back if need be ! ***** quality of food is actually quite good though it has to be said, just not where you'd want to eat it ! ****

I stay at this hotel quiet a lot as this is the hotel my company books, I now use this as a room only I get meals paid for by my company but to many conflicts, asking to swap chips for salad the evening manager lieing saying they have no salad to look over and see salad being brought out, your best option staying at this hotel is to eat else where

Wouldn't serve me food until I handed in my debit card as security deposit 🤣 what a joke. The food was overpriced and disgusting. The chips weren't cooked through, I had to return my meal. Tried to get special of the day but was asked to download the app, subscribe and get a QR code, too much hassle!. Understaffed and had to find a menu myself and also find condiments myself, left without eating and will never return, awful.
