Jade Boulangerie is, without a doubt, my favorite bakery of all time. Every Friday, my daughter and I cherish our special mom-daughter breakfast treat here, and I often stop by alone for a delightful pick-me-up. Their coffee is exceptional, and the variety of fresh pastries is simply irresistible. For three consecutive years, we’ve entrusted them with our daughter’s birthday cake, and it never disappoints—both kids and adults adore it. Stan, the store manager, is wonderfully attentive and friendly, often setting aside our favorite pastries so we never miss out. Jade Boulangerie is truly the perfect spot to catch up with friends or to savor a quiet moment with a delicious cup of coffe😊

Best lemon tart I ever had. Simply delicious. All the pastries look awesome and the place is spotless. Staff is extremely polite and efficient in this cozy welcoming shop. Coffee is made properly under request by knowledgeable trained baristas. Been happy all the times I went to BJ Chiswick. Thank you guys.

Used to come here before covid as coffee was always great, service could’ve done with improvement though at the time. Came here not so long ago over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised, the place was packed, there was a queue out of the door. Service was quick, coffee was as good as ever and the staff were friendly, I think there was a change in management.

Ordered a roasted vegetable sandwich for lunch. The filling was just one piece of onion and some spinach. Very disappointing

Everyone in hospitality knows to ask if clients want sugar in an iced coffee as it needs to to added to the hot coffee to dissolve. In Jade in Chiswick you have to tell them and you get a sarcastic reply back... Unprofessional!

Seems good since its name change some time ago. Coffee and savoury snack I had on my visit were decent. Staff appeared pleasant and the outside area is good. Still a lovely place and the staff were even better, offering me paper towels to clear up my streaming and snotty nose after a chilly and damp bike ride. Definitely worth revisiting as this remains a remarkably nice coffee shop. Snacks and cakes are always great.

Never again am I buying from you. Pushing the cashless agenda shamelessly. We are a growing - by the thousandsfold - number of people who will show you that you won't be deciding for the rest of us on cash. Cash is a legal tender by the way, so by not accepting it, you are breaching the law, more specifically the Bills of exchange act 1882, article 25. There's also new legislation on cash coming through, so seems that they are seeing what you don't - the customer wants to use cash, and it's their right to do so. It will soon become a sore reminder for yourselves that customer is a king or you are history

Delicious pastries and cafe. Too delicious. I can’t stop buying the passion fruit tart. Also super friendly service on the three times I’ve been there.

Most of the negative reviews are due to bad service from a particular individual. From what I understand, that individual is no longer associated with this establishment. We had nothing but good experiences during our week in London. The service was very friendly. Our baked goods were fresh, and our coffee and tea were good. Don't let the current rating fool you. Give this place a shot!

Great flat whites and a lovely spot in our neighborhood! They used to have a mean woman who worked there (the reason for 95% of the bad reviews) but now they have lovely staff who are nice and accommodating.

Very nice little neighbour bakery. Good crossaints, quiche and sausage rolls.

Lovely environment, coffee is great very welcoming the staff especially would definitely come back worth every penny.

EDIT: I feel it’s only right that I re review boulongerie Jade in Chiswick. My previous review is the only bad review I’ve ever left and was not happy about doing do so. So I am pleased to say once again I love this place. The bread pastries and coffee are as good as they have always been. It has a great seating area with an outlook to Acton green. But most importantly the staff have changed. I come in feeling happy and I leave with an even bigger smile. The staff are efficient and friendly and set me up for a good day. I will still leave my previous one star review here so people can see how far they have come. Thank you to the new staff for not making me walk too far for my morning coffee and brightening my mornings 😃 ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've been coming here for a year now and the hostility and rudeness of one member of staff (manager I think) is completely unacceptable. Why does she work in a customer facing business when clearly absolutely hates having any customers, they are an inconvenience. Have never seen her crack a smile. Her rudeness to me today is the final nail in the coffin and I won't be back regardless of how good the coffee, bread and cakes are. I don't feel they deserve my (or anyone's) business until changes are made. This member of staff has been in place since it traded as Lavelli and I can see from the Lavelli reviews, I am not the only person that feels this way.

I had previously avoided this place as the lady running it was awfully rude. Now it's two amazing guys who make you feel so welcome. The choice is better and coffee is great. Definitely now reccomend anyone to go :)

Delicious lattes and baked goods & lovely space. The croissants and pain aux chocolats have been approved by my french self! The service is incredible, the baristas are very friendly and serviable. I was able to spend the day to WFH there and they offered a free latte which was very sweet of them - thank you!! Highly recommend :)

The most amazing staff, coffee and pastries

Everytime I have been here the service has been wonderful and food fantastic. The first time I went the barista recommended me a great coffee (after I changed my mind in the heat!) which was delicious, and the second time I accidentally made a mess and spilled my coffee asking for an extra hazelnut syrup shot and they couldn't have been nicer. When you think about a chilled, local community cafe, with attentive service and great options, this is it. PS. Thank you to the patient staff!

Stopped by for a morning coffee and something to eat for breakfast. Really nice selection of quality pastries and proper bread! Very nice boulangerie. The barista, he was friendly. I will come here again.

Doesn’t matter who’s working there they are always rude, seems like you bother them by coming in. Hire better people, pay them more.

The rudest service I have ever encountered....

After reading some previous reviews and seeing the service with my own eyes, I now understand why this place often gets just one star due to the owner’s interactions with customers. Her words were abrupt and she looked fed up. Not a single smile to be seen. The tea was cheap compared to other cafes and the place looked decent but I have to agree with other customers who gave her 1 star due to service. Shame that I won’t be going back here although it is local to me. I would definitely avoid this place in the future.

My local coffee shop with great coffee and pastries. Also a good selection of sandwiches and some savories as well. Sometimes there can be a queue but don't be scared off, the service is good and quick. Recommended!

TUESDAY 16.45h "CLOSED"?! Again ..Why bother...

The place is ok, not very cosy, specially since the person serving customers was very upset when we arrive, was not friendly and basically we just wanted to have some breakfast and leave as son as possible. Will not return at least is the only open option at the time 😑

We call this the 'Grumpy French Lady' cafe. We got told off for using a couple of paper serviettes to wipe seats dry - apparently they are expensive! Someone should tell the woman working there that a smile costs nothing though. It is a perfectly acceptable cafe but beware the dame grincheuse! I'm adding a comment 3 months after the above. The owner has hired a second member of staff who is much more professional and customer service orientated. She even says goodbye when we leave :) Hopefully her manner will rub off on the other member of staff.

Poor quality coffee / food - which is a real shame given they are in an excellent location

The drinks were meh and the service was appalling. There was no reason for staff to be surly as I paid for my purchase. When I tried to close the door against a wintery 7degree exterior, the barista lady told me not to as she was hot. Incredible! I reminded her that I was a paying customer and would prefer the door shut so she suggested I put on my coat. Oh, and its Bûche de Noel, not Bouche. A French 'artisan bakery' wouldn't make that mistake.

The lady working there is incredibly rude. It is not a matter of having a bad day or two, I've been there a few times (yes, I don't know why, I try not to go but it is close to my flat), and she is rude EVERY time. Other than that, the place is not too bad, but that lady..... Argh

I'm a local and love coming here for the occasional pastry and coffee. The bread is very goo too. It's not the cheapest of coffeeshops but the quality of their products is great. The seating area just by the common is great. It's true that the lady (I'm assuming she's the manager) isn't always all smiles, but we all have our off days, especially in London where the weather can make us feel really miserable from time to time. Keep up the good work :)

Bread, croissants and pain au chocolat are very average and dry...even at 8.30am on a Saturday. It is not better to the bread and croissants that you will find in a petrol station. I went to their outlet in Chiswick... won't come back. Sorry.

Really good pain au chocolat and baguette. Even have gluten free bread (wrapped un plastic film).

Really lovely new place. Solid coffee and the fruit tarts are amazing. The pastries are a mix of traditional French and new flavours. Well worth a visit!
