Boston Lock Cafe in Boston

Stopped here to get a coffee and so pleased we did. The coffee latte was very smooth and nice and the cafe was clean and very well presented. I'm not really keen on fresh food being exposed to all and would like to see some sort of cover. Coffee was reasonably priced but we also had 2 small pieces of Rocky Road cake and that was a little steep.... £4 each... Staff were polite and courteous and the owner spent some time explaining how they keep their menu fresh because it's based around what they want to put on the menu so the menu is always updated and keeps it fresh for repeated visits as there will always be something new for you to try. Highly recommend a visit if you are passing this way.v

We always head here after a walk through Wickham County Park with the dog. Service and quality of food and beverages is excellent.

Food very good. Recommend the pancakes and bacon. Dog friendly. There is parking but when busy you may have to wait. Seating inside and out. Staff very friendly.

Greeted by friendly staff and then he brung out dogs treats with the menu, which was a great welcome. Full English was great, specially the sausages and the wife loved the pancakes Great staff, great food and good music

What a lovely place right next to the river - I went there first time with family for breakfast - we had veg breakfast because the meat is not halal - but it was realy good - the staff was very friendly and nice - ee had the mega hot chocolate which was loved by kids and latte was nice as well - best fruit cake tasted from here after long time - fully recommended -

On me days off I pop in for a breakfast burrito and it's always 10/10, the staff are always lovely and very friendly

A quirky and cheerful little cafe in a good location. We were welcomed and served a cappuccino, a mocha, a bacon & egg bap and a sausage bap. All delicious, hot, well cooked and very welcome on a chilly day. We couldn’t resist temptation and had to take some cakes home too.

A lovely little place. My son was up from London so we went for a walk and popped in here (I needed the loo really 😂) Hot chocolate with very dark chocolate. Delicious. Blueberry scone was also great Staff super friendly Even the background music is good

I've been to a lot of cafe's and restaurants over the years but this one stands out as the best of all of them. From the friendly greeting as you enter, to the clean tables, inviting atmosphere and the presentation and taste of the food, this cafe excells at everything. It is without doubt the best place I've found. It's just a shame I live 3500 miles from it! While I'm here, this is my 'go to' place to eat.

Lovely lunch at the café, it's a really nice place to stop with seating both inside and out front. The staff are really friendly and the food was superb. Definitely recommended.

Been to this cafe quite a lot, every time it’s been really pleasant. This time I decided to pop in after parkrun, which is a stone throw away from Witham Way park, for a takeaway iced coffee. Staff were really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Food has always been delicious and perfectly cooked. Iced coffee was great. Definitely will be coming back.

Sunday brunch. Bacon bap, coffee and couldn't resist a toasted tea cake with rum n raisin butter. Great food, good job I didn't see all the home made sweet treats on offer when placing my order at the table outside. Pot of treats provide for my dog and there were lots of other people with their dogs their too. Very relaxing. Personable staff too.

What to say...great little place, stylish decor, good location, quality food and friendly staff. Can't recommend enough for a nice lunch!

I've visited a few times now. The first time I had a Gingerbread Iced Coffee & Sausage Barm. The second time I had a Berry Smoothie, Homemade Lemonade & Bacon Barm. Last time I visited I went with a friend and I had a Banana Milkshake & Raspberry Brownie, whilst she had a Vanilla Milkshake & a Breakfast Burrito with Wedges. Every single time I've visited the service has been amazing, the staff are very friendly and the food/drinks are delicious. Highly recommended if you're after a spot of lunch or just a quick brew and a snack.

Lovely little cafe - perfect for us joining the rspb boat from the town locks at 9.30. Service a little slow - 25 mins for the toasted teacake to arrive, luckily we'd allowed plenty of time until boarding. Lovely comfy outside sitting, table under cover as well, and inside. Stokes coffee. Toilet etc. There are some car parking spaces alongside this cafe, not sure how bust it gets later in the day. Great place to watch the water, boats, bridge traffic etc.

Disappointed. Walked in about 11.35am with a friend, sat down and ordered some drinks first as per custom and was hoping to have some food. Asked about the breakfasts, understood it was just after 11.30am and accepted they were not available. Looked at the chalk boards on open display dotted around advertising other hot food and desserts. Was told actually no, they were for something else and none of it was available. Ok. I then asked about soup of the day. "We don't have any soup." It was the first day of the week that they were open. Drank my drink quickly and left.

Stumbled across this beautiful place and what a find. Warm and friendly atmosphere in a great location by the lock, serving fantastic vegan, vegetarian and meat options. The falafel wrap with paprika wedges followed by the raspberry brownie is highly recommended. Will absolutely return.

The loveliest people serving delicious food at a beautiful place, you won't find better than this in Boston. Their coffee is awesome and so are their homemade cakes.

Hands down the best cafe in Boston - service with a smile, fresh; home cooked food which simply tops the scale of anywhere in Lincolnshire - perhaps even nationwide. The quality of ingredients are of the highest standard, the restaurant itself is modern, incredibly clean and has unique touches; which I recommend seeing for yourself. Everything produced here is off the scale and simply fantastic. The music played in the background is a great touch for the atmosphere and décor. Please never change your style!

I'd give this place ten stars if I could! We spent a week on the Lincolnshire coast and really struggled to find dog-friendly places that served good vegetarian food. We stopped off here for lunch on our way home and what a difference! The staff were really friendly and welcoming and the lunch menu had loads of lovely fresh vegetarian options to choose from. The veggie breakfast burrito was particularly good, as was the halloumi wrap, and the cakes were out of this world! Many thanks from three happy veggies (and Eddie the dog) :)

Arrived on my bike after 50 miles, actually before opening time. Seeing my need for sustenance, they cooked me a bacon sandwich along with the staff breakfast. Filled my water bottle without being asked, too. Couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming. I will time future visits to coincide with actual opening times!!

I took the kids for a bite to eat. We all had the vegetarian burrito and I had a double espresso. The coffee was well extracted, a dark roast and therefore woody, tobacco and heavy flavours. The burrito was awesome, it came with a pot of what looked like sweet chilli sauce but tasted more like a chilli jam, was definitely the right spice level. Great little cafe.

Food was amazing, hard to find nicer in boston, But after finishing we asked to split the £80 bill and was met with ignorance, attitude with rolling eyes, I understand that it may have been busy for a Thursday afternoon but there is no need to be like that especially with customers. Regardless of how nice the food is, this ruined our visit and we will not be returning

What a lovely place! Situated just by Boston lock so lots of boating activity. Comfortable in and outside, friendly and helpful staff and a good selection of meals, snacks and drinks. Great place to while away some leisure time.

We couldn't fault Boston Lock Café ~ welcoming, accommodating, super-friendly team and excellent food, great attention to detail. Can't wait to find a reason to return (even though it's an hour's drive for us) because to find such quality of catering is rare.

A great place to have a bite to eat before setting off on a RSPB Wash Cruise. We had a very tasty beef sandwich and locally sourced sausage bap.
