Recently myself and my family and I have been to this cafe shop and I must say that it was absolutely beautiful. The staff are friendly,respectful, and very welcoming. The food is delicious ! The location is beautiful and clean and the service is very good! I highly recommend this place! 🥰🥰🥰

Lovely busy place, tried the biggest breakfast and it was great. Dog friendly inside too, plenty of outside seating.

A great place to have a bite to eat before setting off on a RSPB Wash Cruise. We had a very tasty beef sandwich and locally sourced sausage bap.

We thought we would visit for some lunch on our way into town and were not disappointed. The cafe was fairly busy when we arrived but we didn't have to wait long for our coffee and the food arrived after about 10-15 minutes. The Pancake stack was good but the Croque monsieur had a strong nutmeg flavour and was lacking that Dijon mustard punch that I love and the salad was missing any sort of dressing other than a few pine nuts.

This place is a little gem. The food is amazing and the staff are lovely. We would highly recommend the breakfast burrito and shakshuka. The coffee and cakes are excellent.

Very cozy place with tasty food.

I'm from California and have had lots of breakfast burritos. Their vegetarian breakfast burrito with Hallumi was delicious. I was worried it would be dry or bland without traditional salsa but they have a nice tomato based sauce that addressed those concerns. I've eaten shashuka in NYC and SF and this place made the best one. My husband is from here and loved the full English breakfast with local sausage (I call em Lincoln Logs). Such great staff and bridge views too.

Great little place. Went for coffee and cake on Sunday afternoon. Service was excellent food very good. Not to bad on price about average. Really worth a visit. Highly recommended

Went for lunch today, having never been before, and have to say that it was really delicious!! The staff were ever so friendly and welcoming. My mum and I both had a croque madame, which was really filling and tasty! I think it was £11.60 and hubby and my son had a breakfast burrito, which I think was £10.90. My son was very impressed with the mega milkshake!!! It was a beautiful day, and you can sit outside by the lock. Will definitely go back again!!!

Good Fry UP, Good Quality produce including proper sausages used and good friendly service. With a very large cup of tea.

Fantastic service and excellent food

I’d never been to Boston before, but if there’s one place it’s worth visiting for, it’s Boston Lock Cafe. The owners/managers and their staff are very welcoming and attentive. Their food and coffee is perfect, as is the place itself.

Absolutely wonderful. So many options for food intolerance and allergies. The chef even came and went through what dishes she could make for me! Nothing was a bother. Staff were lovely. Beautiful decor inside. Was made to feel very special, which truly meant alot as going through cancer care we do not get out often! Had such a great time we went 2 days in the run! Thankyou so much!

8.30am Sunday morning. Flexible, welcoming, friendly. A joyful breakfast experience with a lovely walk after. Food was delicious, everywhere was clean and tidy. Family (6 year old breakfast needs met beautifully) friendly. Can't recommend enough. We had croque monsieur, big breakfast and pancakes!!! Excellent. Thank you. I will make the delicious (not) coleslaw too!!!!!

First visit today, very nice place, looks posh but is incredibly down to earth.

I visited on two consecutive mornings. On the first I sat inside the cosy cafe. The service was prompt and friendly, the atmosphere very pleasant. I had a shakshuka which was excellent; slightly spicier than I expected which was nice. I think I had a cup of tea with it. The following morning, a Sunday and possibly slightly later, the café was very busy so I sat outside since the weather was good. Again the service was very good. I had a tartiflette and a mocha. The tartiflette was as filling and tasty as I had hoped. I would definitely return. I realise the dishes I chose aren't everyone's choice of breakfast. They also offer what is effectively a full English under the titles of Lock Keeper's and Farmer's Breakfast, depending on the size of dish you want. There is also a "veggie full English". I would definitely return whether for breakfast or for a snack later in the day.

Great friendly little cafe and lovely coffee.

The food and drinks were lovely. The staff so very friendly. We found the service slow, but we are from the South East where its rush, rush, rush and so it was probably our expectations that were wrong. I would really recommend here. We had the beans on toast and toasted cheese sandwich, white hot chocolate!! Oh my! And chai latte. All I’d have again.

Excellent small café on the side of Boston Lock and Sluice Gate. Great breakfast menu and an excellent Croque Mousuier.

Six of us arrived today en route home following a wedding - so glad we did. Service was so friendly, efficient and attentive, and staff went out of their way to accommodate us as a slightly larger group. The breakfast food was absolutely delicious, and we all left with takeaway homemade cakes, the only downside being having to choose one and not all of them as they all looked amazing. Would definitely recommend and come back when in the area. Thank you! 😊

Stopped here to get a coffee and so pleased we did. The coffee latte was very smooth and nice and the cafe was clean and very well presented. I'm not really keen on fresh food being exposed to all and would like to see some sort of cover. Coffee was reasonably priced but we also had 2 small pieces of Rocky Road cake and that was a little steep.... £4 each... Staff were polite and courteous and the owner spent some time explaining how they keep their menu fresh because it's based around what they want to put on the menu so the menu is always updated and keeps it fresh for repeated visits as there will always be something new for you to try. Highly recommend a visit if you are passing this way.v

We always head here after a walk through Wickham County Park with the dog. Service and quality of food and beverages is excellent.

We (x4) decided to venture a little further away for a family breakfast and after a quick search online we decided on Boston Lock Cafe and we are so glad we did. What a great little place this is, it’s pretty small and very busy but we managed to be seated and the gentleman serving was was outstanding, not only did he acknowledge my wife and myself he also acknowledged my teenagers and made them feel very comfortable. The food we all ordered was as outstanding as the service. From the Pancakes, farmers breakfast, tartiflette (this was delicious) and the asparagus frittata nothing was left on the plates… even the fussy teens ate all their food. With coffee, hot chocolate and milkshakes the whole bill came to just over £50 excellent value for money. Highly recommended and an easy 5 🌟 review. Will definitely be visiting again.

Greeted by friendly staff and then he brung out dogs treats with the menu, which was a great welcome. Full English was great, specially the sausages and the wife loved the pancakes Great staff, great food and good music

Small cafe, but with outside tables. Delicious hot chocolate. Excellent service. Very friendly staff. I can certainly recommend the Tartiflette - very generous portion, too.

What a lovely place right next to the river - I went there first time with family for breakfast - we had veg breakfast because the meat is not halal - but it was realy good - the staff was very friendly and nice - ee had the mega hot chocolate which was loved by kids and latte was nice as well - best fruit cake tasted from here after long time - fully recommended -

On me days off I pop in for a breakfast burrito and it's always 10/10, the staff are always lovely and very friendly

A quirky and cheerful little cafe in a good location. We were welcomed and served a cappuccino, a mocha, a bacon & egg bap and a sausage bap. All delicious, hot, well cooked and very welcome on a chilly day. We couldn’t resist temptation and had to take some cakes home too.

A lovely little place. My son was up from London so we went for a walk and popped in here (I needed the loo really 😂) Hot chocolate with very dark chocolate. Delicious. Blueberry scone was also great Staff super friendly Even the background music is good

I've been to a lot of cafe's and restaurants over the years but this one stands out as the best of all of them. From the friendly greeting as you enter, to the clean tables, inviting atmosphere and the presentation and taste of the food, this cafe excells at everything. It is without doubt the best place I've found. It's just a shame I live 3500 miles from it! While I'm here, this is my 'go to' place to eat.

Been to this cafe quite a lot, every time it’s been really pleasant. This time I decided to pop in after parkrun, which is a stone throw away from Witham Way park, for a takeaway iced coffee. Staff were really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Food has always been delicious and perfectly cooked. Iced coffee was great. Definitely will be coming back.

Sunday brunch. Bacon bap, coffee and couldn't resist a toasted tea cake with rum n raisin butter. Great food, good job I didn't see all the home made sweet treats on offer when placing my order at the table outside. Pot of treats provide for my dog and there were lots of other people with their dogs their too. Very relaxing. Personable staff too.

I've visited a few times now. The first time I had a Gingerbread Iced Coffee & Sausage Barm. The second time I had a Berry Smoothie, Homemade Lemonade & Bacon Barm. Last time I visited I went with a friend and I had a Banana Milkshake & Raspberry Brownie, whilst she had a Vanilla Milkshake & a Breakfast Burrito with Wedges. Every single time I've visited the service has been amazing, the staff are very friendly and the food/drinks are delicious. Highly recommended if you're after a spot of lunch or just a quick brew and a snack.

Lovely little cafe - perfect for us joining the rspb boat from the town locks at 9.30. Service a little slow - 25 mins for the toasted teacake to arrive, luckily we'd allowed plenty of time until boarding. Lovely comfy outside sitting, table under cover as well, and inside. Stokes coffee. Toilet etc. There are some car parking spaces alongside this cafe, not sure how bust it gets later in the day. Great place to watch the water, boats, bridge traffic etc.

Disappointed. Walked in about 11.35am with a friend, sat down and ordered some drinks first as per custom and was hoping to have some food. Asked about the breakfasts, understood it was just after 11.30am and accepted they were not available. Looked at the chalk boards on open display dotted around advertising other hot food and desserts. Was told actually no, they were for something else and none of it was available. Ok. I then asked about soup of the day. "We don't have any soup." It was the first day of the week that they were open. Drank my drink quickly and left.

Stumbled across this beautiful place and what a find. Warm and friendly atmosphere in a great location by the lock, serving fantastic vegan, vegetarian and meat options. The falafel wrap with paprika wedges followed by the raspberry brownie is highly recommended. Will absolutely return.

The loveliest people serving delicious food at a beautiful place, you won't find better than this in Boston. Their coffee is awesome and so are their homemade cakes.

Hands down the best cafe in Boston - service with a smile, fresh; home cooked food which simply tops the scale of anywhere in Lincolnshire - perhaps even nationwide. The quality of ingredients are of the highest standard, the restaurant itself is modern, incredibly clean and has unique touches; which I recommend seeing for yourself. Everything produced here is off the scale and simply fantastic. The music played in the background is a great touch for the atmosphere and décor. Please never change your style!
