Boston Grill in Lisburn

Took my older daughter and kids here after a day out as we saw the offer kids eat free. We ordered water and juice the glasses came down rotten, then to top it off my daughter found a eyelash in through her dinner🤮 not surprised the chefs had nothing on top of their heads plus one of them kept flinging a drying cloth over his shoulders touching his neck🤦🏻‍♀️ No definitely would not recommend here.

Food came and was lukewarm. Kids waking around everywhere which is not necessarily the fault of the restaurant but should have been asked to sit down. Also they shout "service" really loud everytime food comes out it is very annoying and ruins the atmosphere

The food is great but slightly expensive

The food here was good, especially the loaded fries and would have given 5 stars if not for a couple of things. The space around the tables in the centre booths is poor and also around other tables too. They’ve tried to fit too many tables in, so it’s cramped, bordering on uncomfortable. Better nearer the left and right but not good elsewhere. We had the steak sandwich. It was good but their medium rare is basically medium (at least with the particular chef was on when we visited), so keep that in mind. Never want to have to ask for rare in case it’s basically uncooked, so always ask the server what the medium rare is like (which I did), but she didn’t really know which was disappointing. The floor staff are the last connection to the customer after the kitchen and they should know the dishes inside out. This place could be getting 5 stars consistently with a bit more attention to detail. This aside no complaint about the staff or atmosphere. Both were good.

Honestly such a spot! Service was amazing, food was very tasty and quick and the pina Colada was amazing, best I’ve had in a while. We didn’t originally intended on going here but didn’t fancy a 40 min wait elsewhere so took a chance and so glad we did. Beautiful setting too! Highly recommend I’ll be back with my kids. Staff were attentive. And my pasta was delicious. Give it a go!

Husband and I went for dinner here last night, literally just sat down and handed menu, staff asked straight away, what drinks we're having, and our food order, 😡,at this stage we haven't even taken our coats off, or have time to look at menu, then order big mama's chicken, it was really bland no flavour at all. As soon as starter plates were been lifted of table, main course arrived, plus had to use same cutlery for starter,and main course!!!! Finished main course, within seconds off plates removed from table, staff over with card machine for us to pay bill, ( restaurant wasnt even that busy, more empty tables, than customers) obviously we might not off been finished, as still had drinks to finish, most restaurants I've been to lately , normally wait until customer asked for bill, ( and they kept coming asking for bill) So needless to say I made them wait,until I'd finished my drinks, wont be back.

We had a family meal here after swimming, everyone was starving! Kids eat free with a paying adult, we ordered kids pizzas which were so generously sized. Good menu choice, good service. Recommended a wee visit

Had dinner there last night and the service was terrible. We were there at least 10 mins without anyone coming near us to ask if we wanted drinks. When a waitress did come over she took our food order and we had to ask if we could have drinks. When the food came my son’s chicken and chips were cold and had to be sent back. My daughter’s carbonara was very bland and didn’t even come with a slice of garlic bread. We were gonna look at dessert menu but decided just to leave. Won’t be back.

Service was absolutely dreadful. Had to call the waiter back to get a drinks menu after the food order was taken as we weren't asked if we wanted anything to drink. Had to ask for cutlery. Starters were cold by the time we got cutlery and also no dips with Starters either. Mains came out, and they got the order wrong, so one main went back to get changed, and the other main was freezing cold and not fully cooked spaghetti. They tried to charge for food items not received, and we had to point it out to them multiple times that we never received the sides. It's definitely not a great place to go. Food would be a lot better if it was warm and came with the proper condiments. Service was the worst.

I'd rather eat the sole of a zookeepers boot than go back. Staff are nice food is awful.

A bit sad really - we called in for a bite to eat after a movie. The place was virtually empty - service excellent but the food was pretty poor - despite my hunger. I don't like leaving negative reviews but unless they can do something to put bums on seats - I can't see much of a future. Start by cutting the menu by half and up the food quality.

Arrived at 6.00 pm, it took an nearly an hour to get drinks after reminding them. After nearly one and a half hours, we hadn't even got our starters. When we queried it we got a rude response from the manager. Finally two starters arrived stone cold. At this point we got up and left, thankfully they didn't charge for the drinks!

Had a pizza and garlic potatoes here the other week and for the price was quite a good deal. Would recommend

visited 29/10/2021 - good visit, the chicken options were halal so was able to partake and as a family we enjoyed the chicken stacker, the double chicken Caroline burger, the buffalo chicken wings, the mushroom starter, the garlic bread with cheese n onions, the milkshakes & the ice cream. The service & experience were exceptional and had various team members work together to make the visit a memorable one. The restaurant is family friendly and provided a high chair for our granddaughter. Definitely recommend a visit and try the fab eats ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely horrible, never coming to this place again. Menu is very misleading, don't even start with the mixed grill platter you'll have an English breakfast. 6 of us, Bill was £168 went home very disappointed, plate was only half filled.

The service was terrible had to ask twice for cutlery the food was in the table for 10/15 mins before I got cutlery. Food came without dip asked twice for the dips still didn’t get them so had my dinner without it. Ordered “homemade slaw”, it was so watery and no flavour, ordered the ‘big mamas chicken stack’ it has lack of flavour or taste had to add lots of salt to even taste something. Didn’t use tray when bring down sides, so one waiter had his fingers in the bowl of my mac and cheese, Me and my family go out to eat a lot I have never experienced this in my life

Very poor service, Told to take a seat , had to grab our own menus then finally after got the waiters attention, With our order got told half the stuff on the menu wasn’t on it , very unorganized Ended up walking out

When my daughter suggested going to Airtastic in Lisburn I thought it was one of those airplane simulation things!! I think I can still hear her laughing at me! We had a fantastic time ten pin bowling, not great as it's been years but was a laugh. Called in at the Boston Grill and the meal was lovely with a gluten free burger option so suited me perfectly. Reece our server was excellent, very informative and attentive. 10 out of 10 for service and will definitely call again if I am in their neck of the woods another time.

As a family we would have gone here in the past as our go to restaurant. However we have all agreed that the food is getting worse. Waitress took my last meal off the bill it was so bad. I suspect that they are bulk buying food already prepared in, for convenience. Will not be back again.

Just discovered this place and it didn't let us down The food was absolutely delicious and the staff where so pleasant we will definitely be back.

This is a great place. I highly recommend here for a number of reasons. Firstly, the food is great. The menu has a very good selection of starters, mains and desserts plus a great selection of refreshments. Secondly, the service is fast without being rushed and friendly without being smothering. Our server, Reece, was very welcoming and remembered us from previous visits. Thirdly, if you're going to the cinema next door it's perfect for a bite before you settle down to enjoy your movie.

Had a takeaway date night and it was amazing food was lovely and staff couldn't have done anything else absolutely too class

This used to be one of our favourite eating spots when it first opened! We went recently and a few of us got the 10oz sirloin steaks.. absolutely atrocious! One steak in particular was freezing and barely any meat on it, the knife wouldn't even cut through the large pieces of fat that ran through it! Cannot fault the service from one girl in particular (didn't get her name but she had blonde hair) but the food in general has really went downhill! Disappointed as we were really looking forward to our meals as we hadn't been for couple of years!

Tobacco onions greasy not crispy. Cold brisket. Completely tasteless chicken strips. Champ dryer than the Sahara. Hardly anyone in there at peak time which is a tell tale bad sign (should of walked out as soon as I walked in) first and definitely the last time for me. The servers were polite and helpful, kinda feel sorry for them having to serve that kind of food

Not good at all. I had the sirloin steak, it was cooked ok but was very chewy and tasteless. Also ordered diet coke which was served flat and warm. Apparently the fridge was broken. Coke poured from a tin so how is it flat?

Always a great experience and excellent food. I do however want to give a special shout-out,to Reese,he took my complicated order over the phone and really could not be more helpful or charming,thankyou so much for making me feel like a valued customer and not a pain in the bum lol,Ur help was very much appreciated,Ur a credit to the company ❤️

Arrived here with my family of four, when we got a seat a girl gave us a menu, 15mins later no one had came to offer us drink or even check to see if we where ready to order. The place wasn't even busy like about 4-5 families max so there was no excuse for us to wait so long. We ended up getting up and walking out. Don't even think they noticed that. It's a shame for the menu looked really nice, just poor service.

if you are very hungry and you have a taste for classic french fries and a classic but good burger, come by chicken and chips kids classic good otherwise the atmosphere is ok As for the service of young gentlemen, I think it's just ok when it comes to restaurants in northern ireland, this is the kind of restaurant in northern ireland, nothing special, but if you are hungry, it is worth visiting standard restaurant but would recommend

Possibly the worst place I have ever ate. Food was cold and service absolutely shocking! Would highly advise not going near the place!

Very disappointed with my experience today I ordered the mixed grill platter. First I asked the server to remove the tomato as I am allergic. The platter comes out with grilled tomato on the plate. I then get my platter to find a hair from a discreet part of the body as the hair follicle was still attached. After asking for it to be taken away I was told that the chef disagreed with my findings and that the hair came from the chicken egg. I have been a chef since 2006 I know the difference between a human hair and a hair from an animal. I will be reporting this to environmental health and trip advisor travelers choice. Chefs attitude was disgusting. I can't fault the manager or her servers but the chef needs an attitude adjustment.

Good American style food and the sharing platter starter suits 3 adults. Zoe was the server today and was engaging (even putting the AC on at our request).

Ate here for my sons birthday in a party of 7. The food and service was fantastic. The place was quite busy but this didn’t affect the level of service given. We were seated quickly and food was brought out in an acceptable time. The portion sizes don’t reflect the price you pay as in my opinion the portion sizes are big. This place is fantastic and I’ll happily go back and recommend it to others.

Went for birthday dinner with family. Food was good. Service from staff was friendly but did have to ask for things like cutlery after food. Asked to move table as too small for 5. Staff helped with birthday cake. Really liked atmosphere in restaurant. Live music was great and a good variety. Really enjoyed.

Slow waitressing even when the place is empty. Food was lovely though

Starting from the bad to good. In the video it's a rock hard pork belly. Looks like it was cooked well, but then temperature was turned up and it got dry and hard, overcooked. Noodles were undercooked and too spicy. I got a funky fries with a chilly beef and cheese + Jalapeño. Forgot the name of the main course but it was pulled pork, chicken goujons with ham and cheese topped with Peper souce. That was something really good. Generally stick with burgers, sizzlers, pizzas.

Il make this simple. I won't be back. First and last time eating here. When entering we were met by two servers who didn't have a personalty between them. After we ordered our drinks and food we had nearly a 30 minute wait for the food to come. In the meantime we had to ask for our drinks to be brought over. The meal itself was underwhelming at best. It seemed to be cooked properly but some items were not nearly warm enough. When the cheese on the burger was the part with the most flavour then there is definitely a problem. On paying the bill we were asked was everything ok, so we said what we found to be the problem. The server said he would pass this on to his supervisor who was standing 2 feet away but chose to ignore what was being said. Poor from start to finish. I think the Boston Grill needs to acknowledge there are problems here , both back and front of house.

The food was burnt, dry and not very appetising, and the staff were incompetent!

I want to preface this review by saying that my first visit to Boston Grill was in December and my Dad and I waited 1 hour 5 minutes for our main course to arrive due to a "ticket error". It was busy and just before Christmas so we accepted that and were comped a drink. The food was really good, but the desserts literally tasted like the frozen kind you get and defrost at home from Iceland. Putting that one visit down to pre-Christmas madness, Dad and I returned over Easter for a quick dinner after a day out together. The service was absolutely horrific. We waited for 25 minutes for our drinks to be served after ordering them, and after waiting a further 20 minutes, we called the waitress over to check on our starters which had yet to appear. The waitress disappeared to "check" and didn't return. After a further 10 minutes we called over a different waitress who said our order hadn't "gone through". We asked to cancel our starters and just get our mains instead because we were both starving by this point. Finally, dinner was brought out and the food was lukewarm at best and so bland. It was like nothing was seasoned at all. The best I can say is that the mash was nice but just not warm enough. When we paid, nobody even asked if we'd enjoyed the meal or made mention of the fact we'd waited so long. I absolutely will not be back, it's clear that they can't keep up with demand and as a result both the food quality and service have suffered badly.

The service was okay, staff were friendly enough but the soft drinks were flat, I ordered a pint of Guinness that must’ve been poured from a 10 year old keg. The food was also poor. The chicken was dry and felt like it was reheated, the mac and cheese felt like it was made from the cheap pots where you mix in hot water and stir it. Used to love this restaurant but the good quality has gone way downhill. There was also some strange music being played and an extremely loud kids party. But hey, I’m just a cranky old guy.

Family of 4 went yesterday Easter Monday. Ordered food, sat 50 mins waitress came and asked us did we want to see the dessert menu! Told her we hadn’t got any food yet! 10 mins later food arrived minus son’s steak. Had to send back my main chicken was cold inedible. Waited 10 mins on steak asked waitress she said oh order didn’t go through to kitchen. I had to ask her to take back his side. Steak arrived and it was obvious his chips were reheated in microwave. Not impressed at all don’t waste your money folks!

I got the Newyork burger meal and it was beautiful. Staff were so polite and very helpful Nice to see a manager there, plus he thanked us on way out, that was appreciated. We will definitely be back

Gorgeous food, big servings, delicious desserts. Service was great, they were more than happy to help our large party of 12, with the orders. We all will definitely be back again. Very happy customers.

Terrible service and food. Asked to speak to the manager/owner at the end of the meal but he didn't have the balls to come and speak to us. Hed rather of sent over a young supervisor to deal with our complaints. Pure coward!!

Food overcooked. Chips like bricks. Meal was pre ordered but still took over an hour to be served. Tables were left uncleared and dirty whilst customers were queuing up to get tables. Several people walked out after waiting over 1/2 hour. Service was incredibly slow. We had to ask for plates to be removed. The voice of the chef/cook could be heard over the rest of the racket in the place. Drinks took over an hour to be served. They were not child friendly.

Totally disappointed with everything from food to service and the supervisor is to young and inexperienced and laughed at us when we complained about the food and service .

Very bad service and food at this restaurant. Sent food back because it wasn't warm and came back the same. Supervisor was inexperienced. Apologized for food but laughed at us. Said they were under staffed. This is not an excuse. Will never return to this place.

Fantastic place. Went for a surprise birthday with my family. So nice and helpful and the food tasted amazing. There was a live singer amd ever song was fantastic. Can't wait to come back

My meal is spot on, my wife's arrived luke warm, our table was clean and clear but I think I lost a few years off my life after I got given the death stare by a waitress because I didn't hear what she mumbled and asked her to repeat it, entertainment was good, I enjoy waitresses snapping at each other at the serving hatch but didn't care much for the 'singer' playing live music, all that said I'd be back tomorrow. 👌🏻

Wasn’t feeling overly hungry so I ordered just a starter of potato skins. For £6.50 I got two of mini burnt potatoes with cheese and sprinkle of bacon bits. Lol now I no it’s a side but for £6.50 I was expecting a portion. I handed the dish back saying to the (agreeing) waitress that’s I’m not paying for that. The rest was simply over priced , I think next time I’ll simply head to somewhere else.

Service very poor waiting an hour on food and our drinks the fella taking our order forgot one of our main orders then when trying to order dessert we were left waiting half an hour so we just left

A really underrated venue! Great food, fast service and there is even live music on a Saturday evening which was high quality, would definitely go again!

Went for my dads 50th with a large crowd of us. Was incredibly happy with the food dont think ive ever had cabarona as nice 🤤 staff were beyond helpful and friendly

Visited today at around 12.15 with my husband and 7 month old baby (who has a cold and cough). We were led to a large booth by the window and given a high chair. There was food from the day previous lying on the floor under the table, a dead wasp on the window frame and the menu's were all sticky. The biggest complaint is that the place was freezing, the aircon felt like it was blowing cold air, I had to take my baby's snow suit off as he wouldn't have been able to sit in highchair with it on and his little nose was all red from the cold. Us and another lady were esting with our coats on! Considering outside was 0° you'd think they'd have the place warm, I even watched our server shivering as she walked around the restaurant and a kitchen worker had a coat on - very unhygienic! The food arrived luke warm except from the garlic potato's and fajita sizzler but the onion rings and my husbands main dish weren't very warm, the restaurant temp meant the food quickly got colder. We paid £40+ for 2 mains and barely ate it. Appetites were lost between the sticky greasy environment and the cold food! Had to change little ones nappy in the toilet and it was even colder in there and the toilet was filthy! Used to go for family meals here and this was first time back since lockdown... safe to say won't be back, a meal out these days is a privilege given the current economic climate and this jusy felt like money down the drain. Avoid at all costs!

I was one of a party of eight and we had seven different meals from the menu. There was a Christmas menu and ordinary menu. There were 8 empty plates at the end of it. We also had a dessert which were okay as well. It was quiet in the restaurant that night hence the lack of atmosphere. No dearer than anywhere else at this time. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would go again.

I went here for lunch and it was great, the staff were very friendly and the food was great. I had a chicken burger that I struggled to finish as it was massive and they were very accommodating to my daughter who is a fussy eater.

A nice restaurant with pleasant staff. Meal was not piping hot but was tasty and no staff checked on us once our meal was brought to the table even though the restaurant was quiet. Clean restaurant, and clean toilets, would visit again.

We got Seated, had a music man playing, he was good, but very loud, we couldn't hear the waitress and she couldn't hear us. we were asked for drinks order, gave it to the waitress and nothing appeared, another waitress came and asked if we wanted drinks, told her that we had already put an order in, she checked and was told our order didn't print out, so after 20 minutes of waiting our drinks arrived, We ordered food, ...Well what a difference, that was bought out within 10 minutes of ordering apart from one of our party had to wait another 7 minutes. We started timing now as this was starting to extract the urine. The food from all panties said it was bland and one had tagliatelle and the spices were so hot, the onion rings were awful, we all tested them, soggy and yuk. We were drinking bottled beer and just as we had ordered desserts we were told that we could have 5 beers for £13, instead of £3.99 each. (A bit late in the day to tell us don't you think)? When the bill came I questioned it and they took £5 off. So many staff and not alot doing anything unfortunately, a nice bunch but seem to lack the purpose of being there. Closes at 9.30, lights in sections of the restaurant went out, pretty much rushing us. Not somewhere I'd like to go again. Sorry but more effort could be made

Food was served with wrong sauce and then when that was remedied, it was cold. Brought complete new dish down to table but had then forgot to add the beef. Only thing we enjoyed was the very friendly waiter. Was disappointed on paying that they didn't allow some recompense for our experience. Overall , we wouldn't go back.

After waiting for over an hour after ordering our food and having seen customers that had came in before us get their food and leave before we even had our starter. Charged £20 for a drink and 3 lukewarm plain strips of chicken, corn on the cob and almost freezing cold tobacco onions, 0/10 calling the food Mid would be being kind to it and the fact I had to pay £20 for it made me physically recoil.

food was bland, had no taste, portion sizes small, food overpriced, drinks overpriced, cocktails are nice but go during happy hour. staff were nice but weren't very helpful we didnt touch most of our food but still had to pay for bad quality food and service that we waited an hour and 45 minutes on

When we decided to leave as we had waited an extremely unacceptable amount of time, we approached the till and stated our table number to which the blonde haired boy started looking for tickets and found ours wrongly set to the side, the chef even commented "what table 11". They even had the audacity to charge us for our 2 coke zeros after the poorly handled ordeal. We were regular customers over the last few years. However, we will NEVER be back. Clearly, this is not an isolated innocent due to other customers that left without food after us.
