Table was not cleaned seats dirty and menus Grubby . Staff disinterested in taking orders , serving tables or upselling desserts drinks or anything else to make it a great experience for customers . Food Poor . Guys you need to get it sorted or the business will not survive!!

Went in for a meal on christmas Eve. We were seated quickly and served drinks rather quickly, also. Order was taken, and during the wait, my fiancée happened to look over towards the service window and saw our server pick his nose twice. He had asked another waitress to ask him to wash his hands, and she was so baffled that this had actually happened. He was cleaning tables again. My back was to him, but my fiancée then said that he was cleaning with his trousers low and could see things we preferred. we didn't during our meal or even the wait. People behind us were already served by this point, so no doubt they had that facing them during their meal. The other staff were brilliant, but this was highly off-putting.

Food was dreadful! Ordered the sizzling peppered chicken which read well on the menu but didn’t translate onto the plate! A thick layer of oil lay on the food which had clearly been precooked and then reheated! And the onion rings placed on top were straight out of the freezer! Honestly awful. Save your money and go to McDonald’s, at least you know what you’re getting!!

Food was slow to come out and cold when it arrived. My daughter’s burger bap was rock solid and had to be replaced. Generally just not nice.

Good standard of food for the cost, always found there tap beers flat and of poor taste, bottles too expensive

Ordered the Mexican burrito, was told they had ran out of the Mexican rice meant to be in it(by 1pm) but was offered extra chicken and beef. Meal arrived without the dipping sauces. Was half way through when I realised they'd found rice and added it but it was plain long grain rice, no sauce at all in the burrito and the chicken hadnt been coated either. No seasoning whatsover, completely bland and dry as a bone. Waitress apologised and knocked the 4 cokes off the bill but wouldn't be back. My 5 year old had the kids pizza, soggy and bland too. My wife had the steak sandwich, toppings missing from it too. Blamed it on the fact a new chef has just started with them.

Was decent. I got a smash burger and it completely fell apart before I got it to my mouth. It was still tasty even if I had to eat it with a fork. Kids portion was very small compared to other places.

Appears to be a popular spot as there was a queue and staff were busy. I got a rib and wing combo tray, but I don't think it represents good value. A lot of items listed for the meal but very small portions, for example, the mac and cheese was a mouthful that came in a plastic dipping sauce container. No better or worse than the other restaurants at the omniplex site.

Food was amazing service excellent

£17 for a repurposed Sunday dinner as a “brisket” and freezer chicken goujons. Not Good. Avoid.

Myself and my husband go to Bodenes regularly for breakfast and it’s always amazing food is of great quality service is absolutely amazing and it’s always so peaceful you can just sit relax eat good food and have a good chat I can’t fault one thing about Bodenes we just love this place staff are all so friendly and are very quick to help you out if you need it I highly recommend visiting Bodenes to anyone looking great food

Im afraid my recent experience will be my last one in bodenes. My salt & chilli chicken (basically goujons with a few chilli flakes over the top) was solid and inedible. I told the staff this at the end of the meal as during it when they asked if everything was ok I was attempting to chew a rock and unable to speak. I didn’t receive any apology. I did eat the pulled pork and the chips along with some noodles but only because I was actually hungry, they were not enjoyable. My mums meal was also hard as a brick and very unenjoyable. It was very cold in the diner and we had to keep our coats on.

It’s been ages since we visited but feels like this place has gone downhill in terms of food quality. Everything we ordered was either dry or soggy - the starters were ten times better than the mains. Chicken Fajita felt like one big gooey mess and was left on the hot plate and the sides that came with it were so tiny. The servers wrrr lovely and trying their best so hope we got them on an off day but wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend.

I always enjoyed bringing the family here, but our latest visit wasn’t great. The restaurant was very quiet for a Friday evening and I’m wondering if othered are feeling the same. We were seated at our booth, noticed the leather seating on most of the booths is starting to look old and tired, some were even ripped. Our drinks took ages to arrive, ordered Nachos to start and these arrived with the mains? My burger was cold and not the best. Have always left Bodenes satisfied and have enjoyed the food, as have my family. Not this time.

Lovely waitress. However the menus were dirty. The toilets absolutely stinked of urine, smell hit me in the face just walking into the hall way outside the toilets. Food was average but after seeing the toilets I was more concerned about the hygiene of the kitchen than the taste.

Husband an I both had Billy the kids burger meals . Smothered in tobacco onions ,skinny chips ( not too warm) burgers were fairly tasteless too sme of the chicken goujons must have came from the bottom of the fryer. Bloody expensive for all wegot

We just got chicken fajitas between us but they were delicious 😋 reasonably priced. Lovely staff. Will be back.

I was here tonyt with my wife and three kids and we were well pleased with our food me and my wife got mains and deserts and my 3 kids had starter and side with desert and we all enjoyed our food and me and my wife would definitely be back it was brilliant value for money

I’m certain my wife and I both got food poisoning from chicken we had here yesterday. We’ve been going for years but something clearly wasn’t right yesterday. I said as much while we were eating but we put it down to a rare “off” day, no pun intended, and didn't finish our meals. Sharp abdominal pains, eggy burps and lengthy repeated trips to the toilet followed that night and today. Shocking to be honest. Lost some loyal customers. Sort out your chefs or food storage/prep please.

Hic up paying we were a group always. Used card to pay too many paying this method disallowed We are nowback at Jersey Street no hassle there

We went in for dinner. Nothing was booked. We were seated straight away and quick service. Food was great and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing

Went there as working near by the food took a long time to come considering restaurant was not very busy. When it came food was cold and veg on another was rock hard raw. sauce on chicken when evetually got too it at bottom of bowl was so salty and generally unpleasent all 3 plates left almost untouched. had complained but didnt have the time to wait for replacement food. they took the drinks off the bill but that was it. Dont bother try one of the other food places on site

friendly staff and good food but my glass came dirty and with a hair in it and I asked to have it remade because of this and they did remake it but the new glass was also dirty

Was pleasantly surprised how good the food was, hard to judge atmosphere as went quite early during week so wasn't very busy. Dirty looking menus bit if a let down but food was worth it.

Visited many times over many years but on today's visit the food was horrendously bad. Beef & Bird stack - brisket was OK, just ok, but the gravy was a sticky congealed mess. The champ was a wet & stodgy plate filler with little flavor. As for the drinks. One look at the glass should have been warning enough to avoid but I didn't heed the warning. Grim. Dirty hot glass. Flat and just not up to any thing close to acceptable.

Got a bad vibe on entry and should have turned right then. Slow to take an order and food still not served 25mins after order. Walked out and they had the cheek to charge me £3.99 for a coke. Customers also fond of cursing. A rough joint. AVOID>

In the area and been a while since I ate here before. Quite busy and a bit noisy and though it was the Twelth seats available. First thing I noticed the old sticky, even dirty menu cards. Surely it would cost little to have new laminated menus easily sanitised. I only sat down and a pleasant young girl wanted to take my order,but I said I need time. I asked what the Guinness was. She did not know.She returned with a can of draught Guinness at around £6.00 exorbitant. I took it. I ordered sizzling chicken in a pepper sauce with onion and mushroom. The chicken looked like prepacked and just sliced.Tasty but a poor effort really. I ordered a garden salad which was nothing to boast about.Even leaving green stalks on the baby tomatoes. My mistake really it did not go with my main. I had an Irish coffee to finish. Young girl had to ask if they did it. It was ok but rather expensive. Pros - pleasant young girls and male floor manager. Cons - Expensive. I won't rush back.

Do not eat here HAIR IN MY FOOD 🤮 I ordered chicken goujons and wedges dish and there was beard hair stuck to the chicken…. I told manager and she didn’t even apologies and offered me a fresh dish then when it came down I found ANOTHER HAIR in my food. It was repulsive 🤢 the staff were so unapologetic like I was the problem there was beard hair in my food and so rude I’m never eating here again!

My pizza wasn’t cooked properly and the service was meh!🫤 sorry but I’m being honest

I have been here several times before and never been disappointed. I was here last week and it was not good start to finish. We waited 45 minutes for our meals to start arriving. The third meal came 5 minutes later and the fourth meal never arrived. Another waitress had to retake the order for the fourth meal. This meal didn't make it to the kitchen and everyone else was nearly finished by the time it arrived. When it arrived it came with the wrong side and the steak had a sour smell. We were never offered so much as an apology at the till or a discount for our bad meal. I messaged their fb page the following day and was again not offered even an apology or response. Would not be back or recommend, seems to be hit or miss judging by the reviews here.

crowd of us went and the place was empty! It still took ages for anyone 2 take our order, waited even longer on the food and it all came out freezing. No one checked to see if everything was ok we then had to ask to order deserts after waiting ages again. One of the deserts came and the cream was off. We told them this when paying and were told it couldn't be as it was made fresh today. All of us who tasted it agreed it was off. Over charged us for drinks but didn't realise until after. Would avoid

Terrible, will not being going back again. Ordered food to wait ages for the food, which when the food came down was not warm, also had requested no dressing on the burgers for one to come with oinions and the other to come with lettuce, tomato etc. Politely asked for the burger to be taken back and the dressing removed, when the burger was brought back it had some of the dressing scrapped off but tomato etc still evident. Again said to take the burger back and bring me a new one, this time the burger was brought back with the dressing removed, it had been well scrapped off and then the burger badly burnt and dry, so not changed. Not a word from management, such a let down of a restaurant, service and food unacceptable - No Stars!

Fantastic food and generous portions. The staff were brilliant too. Definitely plan on coming back next time we're in Belfast.

Called into this place for a late meal and was not disappointed. It seems with diner type places like this in NI you usually either get big helpings of meagrely tasting food or meagre helpings of great tasting food. Bodenes serve generous helpings of amazingly tasty food. I had the chilli chicken with sweet potato fries and the other half had the ribs with a side of loaded fries. Could not believe just how good it was. Best I’ve had in any diner in NI ever. The service was also second to none. The young lady who served us greeted us with a beaming smile, was attentive throughout and made us feel welcome. The other staff were really friendly too. Atmosphere was good. Chilled and no blasting music which worked for us. 10/10 We will be back and we thoroughly recommend Bodenes. Sorry no photos. We were famished and devoured the lot before realising we should have taken pics of the well presented food.

In last week.very disappointing The Beef is burn and dry.cant even chew the beef is v v dry one likes staff come ask me is everything ok.i told her beef too dry then she go ask kitchen change the other.but I want it is pepper sauce.they send me with a gravy.so I just eat wee bit.because I don't like gravy.put me off.i m v disappointing.

This was an unfortunate choice by me. My other half and I decoded to go to the cinema and go for a meal and I chose Bodenes due to being just beside the cinema. Firstly, I had to send my glass back twice due to being dirty, the first having something caked on the outside and the second due to having like a send or something on the inside. The meals themselves, we received warm as opposed to hot, the equivilent as if I had let it sot for 20minutes to cool - due to already complaining twice, I didn't want to make the waiter any more uncomfortable as it appeared he was quite new and didn't want to make it any worse for him. For both meals there was also way too much sauce, although the taste was OK, it was not a good experience. The waiting staff were really nice but the kitchen staff obviously leave a lot to be desired. Nothing that came out of the kitchen was done well. I won't be back.

Place wasn't busy, got seated and server was polite. Food though big disappointment - chilli nacho's didn't come with chilli beef 'server - oh sorry we serve this on the side' - well not according to the menu or anywhere else i have eaten! it was bogg'n! Then cheesecake sundae *how can you go wrong with that* - well this place can - the cheesecake part was off, sour, disgusting - when we mentioned this - it wasn't taken off the bill - i have given this place a couple of chances now, thinking everyone can have an off day - but i will NOT be back! Do not waste your money folks - walk on by!!

High price in relation to the quantity for burgers.

Got a burger and fish. Both burnt and the inside of the fish just tasted of oil. It was not busy either.. sticky toffee desert was more of a CoCo sponge cake also

Lovely spot, great food, huge portions, but it was the staff that made it - very quick service and very attentive. They were lovely. I highly recommend it - good stick to your stomach grub served with really friendly staff. Really appreciated!

Hit and miss. I won't be going back. My family and I ate here twice, first time the service was poor but the food was good. Second time, the food was terrible. I didn't eat my burger and said it to the staff. I was still charged for the not eaten burger but they didn't charge me for my coke as an apology. Seriously, I won't be going back and suggest no one else wastes their hard earned money here.

Seating and initial service was quick, order taken quickly. Ribs starter was fine, no issues. Main course came out, my wifes lasagne was “ok” “cheap but what I expected” My chilli chicken was poor, chicken was more raw batter than chicken, noodles were cold and the side of skinny fries was awful, cold, soggy, and just “wrong” the chilli dressing possibly hid a number of sins with this dish, I couldn’t have eaten what I did without the dressing disguising the chicken. When we went to pay the cashier asked if everything was ok, we voiced our displeasure with my chilli chicken, the cashier stated that if we had complained at the time to our server they would have taken the food back to the kitchen, the server did not come back to our table after delivering the food so that wasn’t possible. We were charged full price, we paid up and we will not be back. The only reason for 2 stars and not 1 is the ribs were ok. There are much better places in this area, try Urban Pizza in the bowling alley, it’s fantastic, only we were too early for it.

No starters or desserts for us this time just wasn't that hungry, but for what we did get it was very nice no complaints ' the chilli one' was my burger it was gone in less than two bites it melted in the mouth very nice, will be back for a full 3 courses next time

After reading these reviews I was close to changing the booking to another restaurant but I thought I would give them a chance. I met friends for lunch and we were a party of 4. We had a short wait to be seated and within minutes of sitting down the waitress came to take our order. The food was absolutely delicious, I really wasn’t expecting much as I read the recent reviews as I arrived. The service was very good overall, we ordered coffees and as we chatted we didn’t realise a queue had formed for tables. The staff didn’t rush us out but we had been there for some time and when we noticed a queue we left. I would definitely be back, such a pleasant surprise with excellent food and service.

Had to wait a bit to be seated (5mins total) which was grand, given menus while we waited. When seated took over half an hr for anyone to come back and take the order and over an hour from entering to receive any food. The kids were getting restless. The restaurant wasn't overly busy and one section wasn't even operating. The food arrived and none of the food was hot, lukewarm at best. Ordered an additional side with the meal that didn't come until nearly finished the main..just sat on the table by staff and no apology for wait. Staff not welcoming at all, tried to engage in some pleasantries but they seemed totally disengaged. Dietary requirements where required for one of the party and we were told most the menu could accommodate although no selection of options given. Ordered what thought was safest and made the requirement known again but service of the place doesn't fill me with confidence that this was met. Being with children we just ate and left. Don't think a complaint would have made any different to be honest. I hate leaving bad reviews but definitely avoid given the cost involved.

Had dinner tonight. Told us to sit and wait it will be 5-10 mins. We were waiting 30 mins until they seat us. Girl behind bar had time to fix her lipstick twice. Ordered herbal tea with lemon and honey. Got a quarter of glass full of honey with small slice of lemon. Never seen serve honey and lemon with tea this way (it was obviously too sweet without taste of lemon). Also was waiting for 2 milkshakes half an hour. Food was alright but not worth it so long wait.

Food is very good, big portion sizes and reasonably priced. Service is decent definitely friendly and inviting. Atmosphere is cool not really much to complain about. Would recommend for dinner with the fam.

Service was extremly slow. To top it all off food was freezing when it came. It was not worth the money we paid for. Steak was cold and was cooked welldone when asked for med rare. Asked for a new one and it was pretty much cooked the same. Wasnt any flavour to it. Could have cooked it at home for a better result. Chips were like rubber filled with grease. My partner meal was absoulty vile and freezing. Needless to say we wont be back

Had dinner with friends and family yesterday. Service was great, had some issues with the food ( cold noodles, chicken was too salty and hard as a rock) but we did not mind that much, we just wanted to eat. But today 6/8 people are feeling unwell so that’s a bummer. Unfortunately, won’t be back here.

On arrival we met a queue of approx. 9 customers and a large section of the restaurant empty. 20mins later we were seated at a table and given 3 different menus. The table was still wet and took at least 5mins to dry. 5mins later our food & drinks order was taken. 10mins later I had to ask what was the average waiting time for food to be served (realising I should have asked this whilst queuing). On returning we were told 5-10mins and left without any chance of a reply. Annoyed at this point I questioned myself, what is it to be 5mins or 10mins..... The food arrived, the curry was mixed with the rice which was not described on the menu and the chilli chicken had far too many slices of fresh chilli, majority pushed to side of the plate. The food was not piping hot, albeit it was tasty. The biggest letdown was the Jug of water. This tasted of mould, very strong mould. Unsure if the water was the problem or their ice. This water was replaced into a fancy bottle!! Funny as this may sound but it tasted exactly the same, mouldy. Finally we were given sealed bottled water, which was cool and refreshing. Overall, our first and only experience did not meet expectations and unfortunately will not be returning. I hope this post does not offend those loyal Bodenes customers and helps others make a choice. Good luck

Long wait to be seated even though there was empty seats. Small portion for 1 of the meals, veg cold and chips weren't cooked fully. Won't be back.

Good food and good service. Mid day so pretty quiet.

Went with my wife for something to eat while out shopping. When we arrived the place was fairly empty, we were seated quickly and ordered a couple of drinks. We ordered starters and main meals. The starters arrived fairly quickly and were fine, when we finished them the plates were collected quickly but that was the last we saw of staff. They came past us repeatedly and other patrons came and went. After 45 minutes of waiting we decided enough was enough and went to the counter to pay. We were handed the full bill which I declined and said I never received the main meals so wasn't paying for them. The staff member said she would call the manager who promptly arrived and said the meals were ready to be served. We declined saying they would be cold now. He begrudgingly agreed to remove the meals and we paid and left. At no point was any attempt at an apology made by any of the staff or manager. As the place was mostly empty I can see no justifications for such poor service. Sadly it will be a very long time before they get a second chance to impress, a very lo g time.

Comedy club. Place was empty went in for burgers and luckily (so we thought) girl says burgers half price. Asked for one with everything on it except change bbq sauce to mayo, says can't do that because burgers are half price, Me-aww i don't like bbq sauce Staff-you can have without Food took a while for an empty restaurant. Arrived and asked do you need anything else I said yes can I have mayo, full bottle of mayo arrives on table, so put some on burger and found out reason it took so long is because was burnt and greasy. One other customer came and went the whole time so not like they were busy, all to busy chatting, toilets were covered in poo on one side, no excuse for that.must be frustrating for ownerwith staff so poor and don't care

Was here with a friend for a quiet lunch, ordered the chicken burger, came out super fast which we both found weird until we tried eating it and discovered it was cold in the middle and dry, it had obviously been pre-cooked and reheated. Garlic cubes had a feint hint of garlic to them and were not crispy at all. Had we been checked on during our meal, i would have sent it back. Won't be back.

Was in last night for food before cinema and was very disappointed. Starter was great then both mains were awful. The menus were dirty as well will probably not be back

If I could give a minus I would. This is probably one of the worst places I have ever eaten. My husbands beef and chicken stack could’ve been served up better in a hospital. We regret not going to Kentucky fried chicken across the road which would not have cost us £50 for the rubbish that we were served….

Had a lovely dinner at Bodenes Diner. Food was piping hot and portions large. We have been around quite a few American Diners and this one is definitely the best by far. Service was also first class.

Horrible food, got fajitas, wraps stale, cheese sitting out all day, cheap sauce, horrible and overpriced. Don't go!

If you want big portions of tasty (meaty) food at a very reasonable price, you can't go wrong here.

Great atmosphere friendly staff quick service and lovely food

A fabulous restaurant, food was superb, large portions and everything was beautifully presented. We had a burger, fish tacos, chicken, and a kids meal, all tasted beautiful. Their peppercorn sauce was beautiful, as were the milkshakes. Nicest meal we've had in a long time and all reasonably priced.

Absolutely shocking service won’t be back rude staff and to top it off hair in food my advice stay the hell away!!!!

Food was horrible, ill not be back. Got the sweet chilli chicken messy fries. The potatoes and the "crispy onions" were raw. Not even cooked as much as to have some sort of colour to them.

Food was lovely, I had the Bodenes Burger 😙👌, everyone enjoyed their meal. The chips were over seasoned though, not sure what was sprinkled over them but it was too much of it. They'd ran out of some drinks which wasn't ideal, but not a big deal. Side note: Seating is a bit naff, if you've nore than 4 in your party you're gonna be spread across 2 or more tables.

This used to be one of our favourite places to eat. Totally changed their standards have completely gone. We were there for 2 hours. Slowest service ever. Food took nearly an hour to come out and with a very impatient 8 month old baby sittin in high chair that whole time we were ready to walk out. Group of 7. It wasn’t busy. Apart from 2 out of 7 the rest of the group hated the food. Nothing was cooked well. Chips were like oven chips. The steak?? accompanied by frozen mushy onion rings all very tasteless and not like the menu said “battered” the food was so awful all we did was laugh on the way home about how bad it was. Such a terrible birthday. We will never be back judging by the recent reviews they clearly have had issues for a while now.

Meal not worth price ,drinks ordered on sitting down and not brought until almost finished meal and place was not at all busy,I asked for a glass of iced water and was brought a glass of lukewarm water. Waiting staff need some serious retraining in my opinion. Would not go back.

Bodenes was one of my favourite places to eat, but I feel that it has gone hugely downhill lately. On a positive start, the meat cooking is always perfect here. Any burger, chicken or steak is always cooked well, and their brisket is amazing. However, for anything that isn't a meat option (even sides and accompaniments), I feel that the quality is much worse. Previously, there would be a range of vegetarian options including taco bowls, burgers, etc. However, recent changes to the menu has shrunk the vegetarian selection to only FOUR items (based on menu dated 27 June 2023): "fake fish" goujons, a generic curry (presumably microwaved as I expect it would not be made fresh daily although happy to be proven wrong), a spinach burger, and salt and chili "sticks". While I was fairly happy with my Wolf Pack burger (which contained fried chicken, brisket and a beef burger all in a dry brioche bun), my partner's vegetarian meal was a disappointment. The salt and chili sticks turned out to be breaded and fried sticks of something similar to Quorn. These were set on top of "Korean BBQ pineapple salsa salad, sweet chilli sauce, toasted sesame seed" (according to the menu). However, the salsa was simply chunks of tinned pineapple drizzled with sweet chili sauce, and had no flavour of salsa or sesame about it. The portion size was also absolutely tiny, much more like a starter than a main. The atmosphere was particularly poor during our visit. Servers now sit all diners in one part of the restaurant, but this has the effect of putting the diners looking for a quieter experience next to families with children. This meant that - in addition to a poor meal - we had to contend with the sound of children banging tables, glasses, or anything else they could find. Our meal came to just over £35 for two people (which was two mains and two soft drinks), and felt like a complete waste of money on this occasion.

Not what I expected, staff pleasant and friendly, restaurant not a bad atmosphere either, food just terrible.... chicken curry on chicken strips ? Very little sauce ( pity sauce was actually very nice ) very little rice, just a mixture or felt like it of things thrown together.... Bad night maybe ? Went there on a recommendation...... other parties food was a little strange , again with little sauce....

Went here today. Served my partner chicken which was off!! It smelled really bad, the waitress argued with us then tried to say it was a marinade. I’ve worked in kitchens for years and in other countries and she tried to tell us this! The meal I got was cold and tasteless. Not salt used. Terrible terrible place.

Went today for a meal,order sizzling chicken meal,chicken was off,could smell the sourness of it,complained to waitress who defended the chef then told me,wait for this quote,you might be sick later but its not the chicken,will definitely not be back

I ordered a chicken curry and fried rice. I got chicken gonjon with curry pour over it and the rice was cold, horrible place
