Stopped in for lunch at the Borough Market by lucky accident. We had been trying to find fast food in the busy “London Eye” area, but the lines were way too long. We walked south a few blocks and found this place. We choose a variety of toasted sandwiches and fruit smoothies, and everything was delicious. The service was excellent, the food was fresh, the prices were low, and my teens, who have been very picky in England, ate everything. I was concerned when one of them chose the sweet chili chicken, but she loved it.

Came here looking for a good breakfast sandwich on a bagel and found a great sandwich and an awesome coffee to go with it! The mocha was so good and very big and the sandwich (sausage, egg, and cheese on a bagel) was just what I was looking for and not over-priced! Would definitely recommend if you need a quick bite to eat and an energy boost. The staff was also very friendly and even remembered my order since I visited each morning I was in London!

Found myself wandering around and feeling peckish. Looked quaint and independent so felt drawn in. Had a lovely latte and smashed avacado, baked egg on sourdough toast with chilli flakes. Not many tables but fairly full. Served by a charming lady, service was very slow but on a lazy Sunday day I wasn't bothered by it.

We had brunch here on a Sunday morning, so not surprisingly it was quite full. It's a very informal, friendly place, clean but a bit untidy. The staff are chummy but quite noisy, shouting out breakfast orders to each other, and to the customers. The main man behind the counter when we were there certainly liked the sound of his own voice, to a rather offputting degree (it was quieter whenever he disappeared for a bit)! The food was OK - nothing special. We had to wait a long time for it, and when my partner's mushrooms on toast finally arrived, it was cold. So they heated it up in the microwave. Not great. But, as I say, it was a very busy time, and perhaps they were a bit overwhelmed. On the plus side, it's cheap. I won't say great value, but cheap. And in overpriced Borough, that counts for something!

This is a gem of a cafe - lovely coffee and a great venue for breakfast. We had s mix of full English, mushrooms on sour bread, smashed avocado with chilli and eggs and sour dough with bacon in eggs (not on the menu but cheerfully accommodated as an off piste request). Everyone loved it. Ignore the bad reviews!

Ordered a toasted sandwich which was bland, tasteless and looked unappetizing. I tried to eat it but it was awful. I took it back to the counter and said I found it tasteless - wasn't asking for my money back. The woman who was making the sandwiches got annoyed with me, saying that there was nothing wrong with it! We watched her make more sandwiches and she hardly put anything on them. I rarely put a bad review but the attitude was terrible. Had lemon drizzle cake which was dry. And it was all rather pricey.

Found this cafe quite by chance as rather unassuming from the outside. Inside reveals a homely space, welcoming staff and great food. We had tasty toasted sandwiches chosen from a great range of menu.....would have loved to try the homemade cake but too full! Coffee excellent. Thank you.

My brother and I came across the cafe by chance, just before visiting the London Dungeon nr Waterloo. While it appears on the outside like any other 'greasy spoon' - it's far from bland or greasy for that matter!! Good: it's like visiting one of Camden Lock's trendy cafes which offers a great range of vegetarian dishes although I suspect there were meat dishes there too? The ladies at the counter were friendly and helpful - sensing that one may be the owner. Food is freshly made on the premises while you wait and nicely presented. Both dishes were delicious! Bad: hard to fault but with the door wide open at this visit, it was way colder in the cafe than I would have preferred. Price: ££ budget for around £6-7 for a main and £2 for decent hot coffee or other beverage.

Sunday morning I visited to take advantage of the special offer Bacon Bagel and coffee for 3.50. The bacon when it arrived were a collection of mysterious soggy bacon fragments, age and provenance uncertain. The Bagel was OK The smell of aging fat dominated what would otherwise have been a pleasant cafe. The Brown sauce I was offered did not materialise. The coffee was OK. When I paid I was charged £4.50. When I queried this I was told that I had been given a bigger cup of coffee than the one in the special offer. It would have been nice to have some say in the matter. I couldn't be bothered to make a fuss, but I thought I would share my experience here instead. Cannot recommend

I was feeling a bit sleepy when I walked in, needing coffee and some breakfast. Within minutes of being there the vibrancy certainly woke me up. The staff were truly amazing and entertaining. As for the coffee and breakfast, I went for the healthy granola option which was a departure from the norm and I was pleasantly surprised. The coffee was good and gave me a kick start for a busy day.

Called in by chance yesterday. Very varied menu made choosing really hard but the soup and toasted sandwich were both full of flavour and nicely warming on a cold day. The service is efficient and polite but not in your face as so often. Hearty recommendation

As I live round the corner I just walked in & ordered a bacon, sausage, egg & mushroom toasted sandwich/bloomer to take away. A few mins later when I returned home I will say it was "absolutely & incredibly cooked, sliced, layered & presented to perfection". A non branded local cafe serving great breakfasts using quality products. Overall compared to other cafes it wasn't a breakfast toasted sandwich that was just thrown together.

Lovely pub, with great bar staff. It's tucked out of the way a little bit, but we're glad we stumbled across it. Big screens for sport and a relaxing atmosphere.
