Undoubtedly the worst the Indian food I have ever had in London, apart from its lamb chops.. The portions were tiny and the flavours and textures uninspiring, or actively unpleasant. I love London's Indian restaurants and the quality of their food. To find one which couldn't even produce a passable popadom was really disappointing.

Visited on a nice warm saturday night and we were offered seats outside, we knew we had chosen well when we saw the plates coming out! service is friendly and the food is fab!.. Small Indian plates of food, not your usual curry house fayre! highlight for me was the soft shell crab cooked with curry leaves, closely followed by duck Katthi wrap, but to be honest everything was great. I didnt have the ribs or the lamb chops but they did look fab. The wine list is short but decent, and there is a wide selection of craft beers, total bill came in at 95 pounds from 3, very reasonable for the superb food. recommended and will return.

Such a great experience with Indian cuisine. They are back with a Boom!! My family really enjoyed the dinner here. The naan (flatbread) was so soft and fluffy, omg!! Thank you, Chef Anirban, for the lovely breads. Their chefs are the gems of this restaurant. We ordered whole sea bream and dal makhni with naan. Highly recommended, if you really love Indian food. we will surely coming back..yay!!!

Been here twice in the space of a couple of months and felt I just had to review it. The menu is quite short but the food is amazing. I cannot recommend the chops enough as they are so tender. The other stand out dish was the Booma chicken curry. All in all the prices are very reasonable and it’s well worth a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

Really enjoyed the food here, well-priced and very tasty. Special mention to the duck kathi roll and the ‘booma’ chicken curry which were delicious. Very similar to dishoom in flavours. The Chettinaad pork ribs were VERY overpowering with cardamom which, if you like cardamom would be great, but we weren’t a huge fan.

Well, usually I won't go to an Indian restaurant as I have so often been served dull and unimaginative food. However in Booma we discovered an excellent Sri Lankan chef who actually cares about the food he serves. Very little oil, each dish had distinctly different flavours. We ordered four main dishes, Duck Kathi roll, onion bhaji, tandoori machi and chettinaad pork ribs plus a garlic naan which was plenty and helped down by some very good beers. Having lived in India this was home cooking at its best. Now I have to go back and try the other half of the menu. Prices realistic, service good.

Not your typical Indian, picky bits to share and very creative. But still super tasty and would return. Staff were friendly, the menu would benefit from Diet Coke/orange juice on the menu as our only option was fresh lemonade.

Since moving to South London in January 2018, I've been to Booma at least a dozen times. It's a great place to bring friends and it never disappoints! Staff is attentive, the atmosphere is great, and the playlist was banging on my last visit. I'm veggie, my husband is a big meat eater, and between the two of us, I think we've tried the full menu. The Highlights: - Paneer - the paneer is heaven. As I said in my first review, I dream about this paneer. The texture, the sauce, the slight heat... heaven!! - Lamb Chops - my husband's fave. Nice portion size, great sear on the outside, amazing flavour. "The best lamb chops I've ever had," says my husband. - Daal - warm, comforting, yum! - Soft Shell Crab - the asparagus served with this really makes the dish - White chocolate-covered mint leaves - brought at the end of your meal, I don't think there's anything better to finish off with Pure bliss!

Quite simply the lamb chops here are the beat I have ever tasted. Thick and juicy, served medium rare with a delicate spicing. The black lentil dal was also awesome. Add to that a menu of craft beers, friendly environment and efficient service and you have a very pleasurable dining experience in a small cafe style restaurant that you could walk past a hundred times and not think to go in but that would be a mistake.

One of the best Indian meals i've eaten in a very long time. Also reasonably priced food and drinks. Poppadoms and naan bread cooked to perfection. Absolutely perfectly spiced curry. My only criticism would be that the serving staff were a little bit too attentive. Not pushy, but just having a glass taken away the second you finish your drink is a bit over the top. And please, don't clear plates until everyone has finished eating.
