Bonne Sante in Plymouth

Another great visit last night - spent a few hours here having dinner and drinks. Our hostess was really friendly and helpful - thank you Daisy! The food was the same high quality as usual. We had the prawn tacos, thai green curry, satay noodles and teriyaki tofu. All so tasty. The cocktails are always amazing. Keep doing what you are doing as this is the best place in Plymouth

Went to Bonnie sante for a bottomless brunch for a birthday with a group of 20 plus, dirty fries was lush… and I can’t highly recommend our waitress Rio enough, she was amazing the whole time we was there, we were all well looked after… if you can see this Rio thank you so much for your amazing service, you were absolutely Faultless!

Rio was the best waitress ever! So friendly and helpful! She is an asset to the business… we were well informed of what will happen in the evening, drink were flowing and she was so friendly and warm

Nice place, expensive, toilets up a spiral staircase,you get blinded at night by up lighters as you descend.

We always have a good time here. The service from the chap with the beard is fab - he's got a great personality. We were also served by a blonde young man who was incredibly patient with us whilst still trying to choose cocktails and food. You serve the best cocktails 🍸

We had a bottomless brunch on Sunday I didn't eat but my friends' meals looked delicious and the drinks were lovely. We were on a works outing and we are also in hospitality so we were very impressed with how attentative, friendly and efficient the staff were. It was a wonderful afternoon despite the weather. Beautiful place Incredible food I would recommend booking as it can be very busy at times. Their set menu is also very good. There are vegetarian and vegan options available. The staff were very friendly, our table wasn’t quite ready when we arrived so we sat outside the front and had a drink whilst looking over the dinner menu, a lovely gentleman came out to get us once they were ready and lead us to our table. Couldn’t have asked for a more wonderfully romantic date night. Big thank you to the team!

I was fortunate enough to be a wedding guest at Bonne Sante last night. What a fabulous night, staff were very attentive and friendly. Even put up with my very drunkern older teenage daughter who likes to party hard. Food was lovely. Thank you so much for making the lovely couples day/night a good one :)

I booked here for a very special birthday. The booking online was easy and they sent an email prior to the event to confirm the booking. We were seated promptly at our time (booked Bottomless Brunch). The time started when we ordered the first drink. Food was very good, drinks were good. The servers were very attentive and made sure we were not waiting for drinks if we got empty. I would definitely come here again, in a good position and a lovely environment. Thanks! 👍

What a beautiful restaurant. We visited on 28th August. The decor is absolutely lovely and extremely tasteful. But what really made the experience special (bar the company I was with of course) was the staff. I had the Satay Noodle Bowl and my friend the crispy terrakaki chicken.Omg it was delicious! So fresh with lots of flavour. My friend felt exactly the same. Hats off to the chef!We were also served some delicious cocktails which were extremely well presented. And the customer service was excellent. All staff extremely polite and attentive. A special thankyou to the staff of that evening Josh, Matt & Shannon.

Super friendly staff, meaty fresh tempura prawns, so many safe gluten free options. GF burger that was really tasty and juicy. Just brilliant.

My boyfriend and I had a really lovely time at this restaurant; the portions were great value for money and the food was excellence quality. The server, Stephen was accommodating and really friendly. The drinks made by the bar tender John were very enjoyable and I asked for a sugared rim and he catered to my wishes. Great food and cocktails!

Absolutely lovely food and not too long a wait but the serving wasn’t the greatest. They got very mixed up with orders and gave a meal to the wrong people and served cutlery twice as they didn’t know what they were doing. Could do with bigger tables as not very comfy but a nice meal out overall.

Lovely staff, nice food and pleasant atmosphere. If you haven't booked, go early before it becomes busy. Check website for current menu. We had lighter bites which were fabulous and watched the world of the barbican go by.

Service very good but young girls who were a little unsure about what they were doing. No older waitress so makes you wonder if they use younger girls for the cheaper wage bracket? Not enough experience.

Relaxed atmosphere, wonderful staff and great food.

Had the bottomless dinner which was great. BUT it supposed to have unlimited alcoholic drinks included. Our group all had about 5 cocktails each and didn't feel the effects of the alcohol so did a breath test when we got home and none of us were over the limit. Which in my book means that the drinks were all alcohol free. Even though we paid extra for them. Trading standards are on their way to investigate

Beautiful surroundings and the food was delicious. Excellent service and lots of choice. Highly recommend the teriyaki chicken. You can’t add a tip by card so will need to take cash to tip the waiter. Will definitely be back next time we are visiting Plymouth.

Bottomless dinner/brunch is a must. The food is always amazing and the drinks flowing. McKenzie was an amazing waiter, attentive and kept the vibes. Thanks so much for keeping the girls night going with endless mimosas.

Highly recommend, menu has wide variety of dishes we were a group of 4, we all loved the food, would certainly come back. Frankie served us and was really good checking our orders with kitchen as one of our party had a shell fish allergy. Bryony also in a very nice way kept checking all was ok.

Amazing cocktails, quick service, Lilly was incredibly sweet and helpful. The location is beautiful and the outside seating is brilliant. I absolutely recommend trying the butterfly gin tea, one of the best cocktails I've ever had.

We went here for a last-minute lunch. It turned out to be a lovely place, I love the decor, the staff were friendly and the food was delicious! I had the Thai green curry the sauce was homemade and tasted amazing! Hats off to the chef!

My wife and I got married on Wednesday the 19th. We chose to have our reception at Bonne Santé as we have dined here many a time and absolutely love it. The decor is stunning, the food gorgeous! The night was everything we could have asked for and more. The food served was amazing and all of our guests agreed, the staff so attentive with strong communication skills to ensure that all of our wishes were carried out effortlessly. Rosie and Bryony felt like part of the reception party which was lovely. Thank you so much for making our day special we would extremely recommend Bonne Santé as a wedding reception venue.

Always fun. They really make you feel at home. Stephen is a great host, and the rest of the staff really go the extra mile, and the cocktails are unbelievable.

Really delicious food, an outstanding meal. I had paella. We ate at 6pm to avoid what we thought would be a later rush, but it was busy. We had a table in the main esting area. It was pretty loud making conversation challenging. They were kind enough to move us to a separate table in a quiter room - grateful for that! Service was very slow, but it was a good place to relax in the company of friends.

Me and a friend did the bottomless supper here on Saturday night and are server Bonnie was fabulous. Happy smiling waitress always checked in on us and made sure are drinks were always topped up. Thanks Bonnie

Group of four of us went for bottomless brunch and were seriously disappointed. Although the staff were friendly after 10/11 drinks every member of the group just felt ill from the amount of juice in the cocktails and lack of alcohol. Nobody even felt tipsy, just as stated before, ill from the volume of juice. The food was extremely mediocre and on par with Wetherspoons. For £44.50 each (upgraded drinks) we were deeply disappointed and will never be returning or recommending. Far better venues for bottomless brunch around Plymouth which are cheaper and extremely better value for money. Before management comment on this review as seen before in reviews for this place, this review is not a scam or fake. I’ve never left a review before but this place was so dire I felt the need to comment and warn people off.

Great service. Beautiful place strangely empty and possibly because food not up to much. For the second time of going there coffees were added to the bill. Coffees were not ordered. Is this a scam? Suspicious and won’t be back.

Lovely place, my mate and I were sat outside, great cocktails. Got a bit cold, Stephen the manager wouldn’t let us sit where there were plentiful available seats inside (in the central outdoor area). A lovely barmaid called Kayla agreed to let us sit on an available table on the basis that we would move if/when someone arrived. She was really chatty and pleasant, very helpful with cocktail selection! Stephen walked past whilst she was chatting to us (she had only been at our table for about 3 minutes), he barked at her, “the bell’s ringing Kayla!” In an unprofessional and derogatory tone. Totally unnecessary - she was a positive attribute to the location, an asset! He was totally the opposite!

An update with regards to my previous post and my suggesting I wasn't welcome as I was too old, no one from Bonne Sante has responded. I also sent an email expressing my experience and as of yet have also not received a reply. I stick by my original thoughts that this particular bar /restaurant seems to cater for "trendy younger people" and is dismissive and would appear to not welcome people who do not fit in with that criteria. I await any further responses but will not be holding my breath. My advice meanwhile is avoid.

My wife and I are both in our mid sixties. We went into this particular restaurant for a drink. We sat down at an empty table but were told, in a very brusque manner, that that particular table was booked. There were four other empty tables but were informed that they were all booked so we left. I returned 45 minutes later to find that all the supposedly booked tables were still empty!. I asked to speak to the manager and have since lodged a complaint. This is the second time that this has happened to my wife and I. On our only previous visit, we were informed that all the tables were booked, but as the gentleman told us he told two other young ladies that he obviously knew, to wait as he would find them a table. Blatent ageism it would appear. I am awaiting a response to my complaint.

Lovely experience we had! Bryony was an absolute gem!! Loved her to pieces!!! Always made sure our drinks were always full! She was the best bartender and server we’ve had here!!

I had my 25th birthday party at Bonne sante last Saturday and it was absolutely fantastic. Thank you to Stephen our host, he was amazing and made the day perfect! There were over 20 of us sat in the beautiful courtyard so I can only imagine this took a lot of hard work from the food and beverage team to cater for , however the service was so fast and made our experience perfect. Stephen made sure there were drinks poured on arrival which gave it that special touch and overall made the experience one to remember. Everyone had the best time. Thank you so much Stephen and to the team for your hospitality :) ps (the food and cocktails were delicious )

Went for a bottomless brunch, environment and food was nice however I don’t believe there was any alcohol in the drinks. Would not recommend the bottomless brunch if you want to be tipsy at the end.

Today was my husbands 50th and retirement and we booked the garden room as a private family meal and I cannot thank the staff and venue enough. Stephen was attentive and made sure we were happy all night. Our server was Stanley and he was awesome. Making sure we had drinks, was happy with the food and all was great. It was a fantastic evening. If you would like to hire a venue for a private event or you simply just want a good night filled with food and drinks, then consider Bonne Sante! Wonderful.

What a splendid find! We came across this spot quite by chance when looking for a quick lunch. We had the most delightful warm and friendly welcome. The staff, Georgia and Steve, were both charming and ensured that we had everything we needed. When Georgia realised that it was a birthday, she produced a delicious brownie with a candle on top for the birthday girl. What a lovely touch and what a super surprise.

Food and our server were both amazing, great hospitality and good drinks. We were very upset to hear our tip wouldn’t go directly to the server, as it says on the signs on the table, but instead goes straight into the pocket of the manager. If we had known this we wouldn’t have tipped, as the manager didn’t serve or talk to us once and didn’t deserve the tip meant for our lovely server. We were also informed if you tipped online via the QR code you could not have this returned, despite it not going to the right person.

What an amazing place to celebrate a birthday! It’s not often that my husband and I can find so much on the menu that we want to eat -always a good sign. Atmosphere was awesome with very pretty decor. Lovely for photographs. We can’t wait...
