Bon Appetit Cafe in St. Helens

Best quality breakfast and lunch we know!! Fresh baked goods, wonderful salads & sandwiches!! I had chicken salad, Greek salad and tomato-basil soup and all we great! My wife's breakfast looked and tasted lovely, the hash browns here have no equal anywhere! Always happy to dine here where we're treated like beloved family!!

Nothing special at all. The bacon was so thin, crisp and really dry. You could clean your fingernails with the bacon. It's was too crisp and not edible. You're better off going to IHOP or Cracker Barrel. Pancakes were very blah.

First time here and really enjoyed the visit.

Cafe is a big word here. It has the ambience of a down graded shop with a kitchen out back, loaded with clean tables and chairs. Menu is short, food is bland and of general low quality standards. As Europeans, we are use to much better. But we got food, and it filled our guts.

Hidden gem, a nice hole in the wall. Amazing prices and portions, the quality is through the roof, not greasy at all! Decor inside is lovely, with a nice atmosphere. Pleasant customer service, thank you Daniel for your amazing service We WILL be regulars

Great findings!! Bon Appetite, a name speaks for itself. We ordered Egg Benedict for breakfast and loved it. The Hollandaise sauce was rich and delish!!, got to be the best breakfast place in the areas. The service is a top-notch, attentive, and makes you feel welcomed. I highly recommend the Bon Appetite for anyone who looks for a quality breakfast spot.

Sat for ten minutes and no one even got our drinks while folks who came in after us were served right away. Great first impression don't care how good they could be they failed utterly, never going back or recommending.

I spoke to another table of regulars, and they agreed this is the best breakfast around. If you miss out on the CAJUN GRITS, you made a mistake. Order it for the table like an appetizer. I had the PERFECT EGGS BENEDICT. We are rarely excited about food. THIS PLACE IS A DO NOT MISS OUT DESTINATION!!!

Floors and bathroom are dirty. This place desperately needs a make over. Interior is old and tired. We had breakfast which was quite bland. I had an egg and bacon croissant which was greasy. Not pleased with this place at all.

Great omelets. I love the Mediterranean. Can get a latte and the music is calming. So it is my go to for breakfast. It is also a good place for a "ladies lunch".

It was very expensive for what you got and it wasn't great quality food either and I got eggs Benedict and all I could taste was paprika. Over all not great will not be going back

For a Memorial Day Sunday, it was more than half empty. Despite that I had to get up more than 6 times for different things (menus, place order, utensils, coffee, sides). Of the food we had, waffle and hashbrowns were the only thing worth eating. Maybe it was the table we got or maybe it was just an off day… will not be returning.

I stopped by for lunch. I opened the door and a wall of sewer smells hits you. I ordered the tomato basil soup and a "bon appetit" sandwich which had chicken, bacon, cheese, and Dijon mustard. Sounded savory, tart/spicy. Instead it was like a super sweet. Think cream filling inside a donut sweet. It clearly wasn't Dijon mustard on the sandwich...looked more like mayo or some thick sweetened mayo. I tried putting salt and hot sauce on it to drown it out, but it just wasn't good. The basil soup was also sweet, chunky and the chunks were kind of hard. I seriously thought it was carrot soup! This won't be a regular stop for me.

Mother's Day brunch here was perfect. Great food but not packed. It's like a hidden gem.

I'm here on vacation with a group of 4. We chose this spot for breakfast our first day here and came back the next day. The food is very good. Eggs Benedict are definitely recommended. Their flavored croissants are delicious. They are served warm with a warm pudding inside. The place is clean and all of the employees are friendly.

Delicious place for breakfast with healthy options, all dishes have a small salad as a garnish. The taste is delicious! The coffee is good and the waffles are unmissable! A great option if you are visiting NASA! The service is good and they speak Spanish. Quiet and quiet place. I would always come back!

It wasn’t the worst thing ever, but I’d definitely not go again. Honestly you’re better off going to ihop or Waffle House. The waffles had a weird flavor, even my kids refused to eat them. The service wasn’t great but it needs improvement, we walked in and no one said anything, the display cases were empty and it said order here so we went to the counter, until finally someone said oh just whenever you want. Like I said, not the worst thing but very lackluster for the price.

Great spot for breakfast. Espresso drinks were a nice touch. Staying at a nearby hotel visiting Houston Space Center with my family.

Sat for 40 minutes for eggs and bacon and never got served. All restaurants resources and attention went to the 20 top next to us. Had to ask for our money back (pay ahead of time) so we could leave.

Looking for somewhere new for breakfast. Unassuming from the outside we stumbled upon Bon Appetit. Says order from the counter but the staff suggested we select a table and they would bring us menus. Solid breakfast selection with the bonus of a fresh croissant. Hubz enjoyed chicken fried steak with sunny eggs and sourdough toast. While the steak was thin, it was wide and tender. Sourdough was thick and perfectly toasted. I had the standard bfast and upgraded to almond croissant which was served warm. Coffee was rockstar. Nothing fancy but a good solid cup of Joe. Soda is served in bottles (not fountain) fyi. It’s a solid breakfast with excellent service. I’d love to add a few touches to the inside like little crystal chandeliers and brighten up tables and chairs to complement the bright and kind persona of the staff but that’s just decor. We will be back. I hope this family owned business continues to thrive!

The eggs benedict is the beat you'll have anywhere without a doubt. A kinda hidden off the road place right next to nasa space center. Don't even get me started on the waffles... HUGE! Add this to your list of must try places!

They had a fireplace which was cool. Food was seemed over priced for the food but given the economy its understandable.

Best fruit berry waffle, cheezy scrambled eggs, and crispy bacon in the Clear Lake area. The coffee is legit as well.

The food here is amazing. Real cream for coffee that is rich and robust.We enjoyed light as air waffles,and biscuits. The sausage gravy was bursting with flavor and the buttery eggs were wonderful! The food tastes like it was made in high end 4 star restaurant, but we only waited a short time to be served.Couldnt have asked for a sweeter server. Super cute place,we sat by the cozy fireplace. We will be returning!

So... I don't know where to start. This place was not BAD really... It was just... Depressing. We walked in and I felt like the whole place including the people in it were straight out of like 1991... Then we have the empty glass food displays (displaying a lovely assortment of dust particles). We wandered around unsure where to go. We finally were looked at by an employee behind a counter and she stared at us until WE asked what we are supposed to do and she said "Sit anywhere". The waitress was superrrrr depressing. Not rude, just sad. And just when I thought it couldn't get any sadder they brought our food. It was honestly so bland I prepare more imaginative breakfasts at home (actually not kidding I'm a decent cook). We left this place chuckling because it was so off-putting. Side note: we waited so long for the waitress to actually come over we thought we may need to go up and order at the counter - which turned out not to be the case. Owners: PLEASE remove the old food displays that are empty and dusty... Such a bad first impression.

Recommend! If you are looking for a nice breakfast spot with a little flare from the kitchen. Then this place will be a perfect little place to visit. Their breakfast and lunch items are all really well plated and the chef does an excellent job with preparation. We ride our motorcycle to breakfast on Friday mornings, we had some business nearby this week, so we decided to try this Cafe, food and service are excellent, thank you for everything

First time trying out this place. Very nice atmosphere. Not too busy, so we were able to get a table right away. We had brunch, and it was delightful.

Quaint place to enjoy breakfast and have good conversation with family and/or friends. Food was delicious!

Food was lovely and so were the people

I was visiting the area scouting for a new place since I was moving there for work. I stumbled on this breakfast place and wow, I was so pleasantly surprised! The exterior is very simple, as it the interior. The waitstaff was attentive and the menu was really refreshing. I ordered an omelette and to my surprise it cam with a greens salad with a very soft vinegerette dressing! Let me tell you, it worked and felt so healthy vs. skillet potatoes or bread filler. Don't get me wrong, I had my bacon, too and it was thick and cooked perfectly. I was only there for the weekend, but we enjoyed it so much we went back the second day!

Food is good. I got pancakes with sausage and egg. The pancakes were thick and fluffy. I'm giving 4 stars for the use of Styrofoam for coffee (takeout)

We went before our trip to NASA and the service was delightful. I love the atmosphere and the food was delicious in top of that. I ordered my kids hot chocolates and the waitresses were thoughtful about how to serve them. Instead of a ceramic mug, they brought them in styrofoam cups with lids. Very impressed!

This seems like a nice place, but they are more interested in talking to their friends. Both people who were serving were talking for more than 10 minutes (one of them actually sitting down at a customer table). Never came by or even glanced at my table to refill my coffee, which stayed empty 10-15 minutes before I left (having left money for the coffee). Place looks nice. Service bot so much...

I have the Egg Benedict, and my mom had the Croissant Breakfast Sandwich. The food was delicious, made fresh. Customer service and the atmosphere was pleasant. Can’t wait to try the many choices on the menu.

Amazing food, great service. I sat outside and got the Caesar Sandwich plus a soup and a latte. The Latte was amazing, one of the best I’ve had in the Nassau area, and the Caesar sand which was great. The basil tomato soup was slightly bland, but still good. I recommend dipping the sand-which in a soup. Overall great experience from a small business. Highly recommend.

The food is decent. Service was ok. But I left because I killed a roach on my table. It was behind the sugar caddy. It was the small roaches not the tree kind that come in after a storm. But the kind that infest places. I told the waitress and she said Welcome to Texas they are every where. The waitress was a little rude. But she was in the weeds.

This is my second time here. And I was kind of disappointed. The first time was good enough to come back. But the second time was not great. Also you have to pay for every drink. There are no “free refills” on sodas. Not bad. But not great either.

First of all they do not have assigned waiters to tables so you never know when you will get your order taken, drink refills, or check. If you come here expect to be here for 2 hours mostly waiting. They "wipe" down their spoons, it is very unclean.

This place breakfast I've had in years the biscuits and gravy were really good but they're like nine something for two biscuits with the little gravy the prices were high but everything was excellent went back twice

Not sure how biscuits and gravy with eggs takes 45 minutes to make with a mostly empty restaurant. Finally left without getting any food. Person next to me that sat down 20 minutes after me still got his food.

Was really looking forward to coming here. Until… we had to wait a little over 10 minutes to get menus and water. Then it took almost an hour to FINALLY get our food. We have an 11 month old that was DONE with all the wait! He was getting frustrated and so were we. When we inquired about how much longer were we going to have to wait for our food, WEIRD how it appeared right after that… was it just sitting there in the back?? Anyway, was not all that like the pics lead it to be. Pretty basic and WAY OVER PRICED: ONE WAFFLE for a child was $7 and change!! Will not recommend… Sorry, not sorry.

My first time to try this restaurant and it will most definitely be my last time. I can not say how the food was because I never got a chance to try. The service or lack of service is the reason for me leaving without trying their food. Over 40 minutes of waiting…this was my lunch break…another customer sitting next to me was complaining about the service also. And there was only 4 other customers so there was no reason for the slow service I don’t know how they got such high ratings I am giving one star because there isn’t any negative numbers to give. Only go if you have a whole day to kill…like I said I don’t know how the food tasted.

Omg this was a great breakfast. At first I was going to have a chicken fried steak but they were out. So I did a build your own omelette. It came with a English muffin and some micro greens. I added some sausage gravy, and a side of sausage and hashbrowns. My wife had the original . She loved her dish. I almost forgot the latte . That was dam good. I will be definitely going back to try some of the other dishes. So stay tuned in for more.
