Bombay Tea Lounge in Cheshire West and Chester

We went for dinner tonight with my parents who live in Winsford after I had read some great reviews of the Bombay Lounge. First impressions are a modern interior with lots of friendly staff. The food was really excellent, the main courses were generous and my lamb dish had loads of meat which was really well cooked. If you are looking for a great curry and are near Winsford I would really recommend going

Fantastic quality of food and good portions. Easy to order online and food was ready to pick up at the time stated. Parking easy.

Absolutely fantastic meal, table for 10. Excellent service and speedy with it. Probably the best chicken tikka madras I’ve had in years. Great flavour and the correct level of spice for a madras. Would highly recommend it. Others had the butter chicken, tikka masala etc and all thought the dishes were excellent very authentic and full of flavour. Worked out around £27 a head with drinks. Very well done Bombay Lounge.

Sauce tubs had spilled over everything in the bag. Poppadoms were just crushed mess in a bag. Not good value for the cost £57. Rubbish. I have had food deliveries from here before and have all been good. Not this time

Picked my order up to get all the way home to find my curry not in the bag 😡phoned up and the guy said oh sorry I had to go all the way back and pick it up spent £65 plus £10 in petrol won’t be in a rush to order again. Curry was nice though paratha awful and so greasy couldn’t eat it

This is hands down the best place to eat in the cheshire ,The food is absolutely divine sevice impeccable you will be missing out if you dont visit this restaurant, I've eaten in many restaurant 100s, but this place every mouth full is full of flavour ,Honestly guys try ypu will not disappointed

Best Indian Food I can order in Middlewich.

Not as good as it used to be. Naan bread a lot smaller and chips hard and rubbery. But curry nice

I should have saved a tenner and ordered from The Ganges. No flavour and no cheese on the nan, cost 30% more than anywhere else and half the taste!

The delivery driver turned up very stressed and rude ! To be quite honest he let ‘just eat’ down ! As I have always found your delivery people very nice.

Est time kept changing however the app kept me in the loop as to where the driver was which was helpful, also loving the new feature of having to provide a pin code to the driver to show it's been delivered after having a Few issues in the past.

My pregnant girlfriends food did not come in am fuming after she spent £40 on the meal

Brilliant food lovely staff been several times and it’s always been fantastic. Nice atmosphere staff really helpful.

King prawn purée - very nice, aloo gobi - lovely, chicken tikka masala - nice but strange after taste, cheese naan, also strange after taste and didn’t taste cheesy at all, pilau rice as expected

Went to collect, I didn’t get the owners name, but he was very welcoming and the place had a lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious as always. Definitely recommend *****

Somehow made a mistake with my order - thought I’d ordered King Prawn purée - the prawns def weren’t King. Also did not mean to order chicken chilli tikka masala - much too hot for me. I don’t know how this happened. The aloo gobi was good though and the naan. I’ll have to be more careful next time if indeed it was MY fault 🤷‍♀️

Food was so good the price tho bit rich and go for me but for a treat was well worth it hats off to the cooks 👍👌

Food was just dripping with oil ! Rice tasted stale and has what clearly was left over onions that had been cooked for another style of rice even tho it’s pilau shouldn’t have onions Naan breads were soggy and felt under cooked . Very disappointed

Decided to have a treat for dinner last night, the food and service were exceptional, however the whole experience was deflated because when I got out of the car my first impression of the restaurant was not great, you can’t do much about the pot holes or the state of the car park ( well you can) the out side of the restaurant was filthy, with cigarette ends on the floor and rubbish piled up. Come on this is a restaurant let have some pride on the first impressions, get the bird poo off the windows and sweep outside that way the diners will have a good indication from the onset. Once inside the staff were friendly and attentive and the food was awesome, no wonder it’s won awards but let’s have the full experience please. My first thought was what’s the kitchen like if this is the outside Just a little constructive criticism

Absolutely brilliant food. Staff really friendly and helpful. Not too expensive. Variety on the menu we had 4 separate dishes everyone remarked how great the food was. Well recommend it.

Spot on as usual. Lamb was cooked perfect.

lamb jalfresi was a little hotter than expected but still good. Rest of food lovely but couldn't find chips on the menu xx

the delivery courier service was great thank you. Some of the food was not very warm at all, but I think as we had a very big order of starters and mains, that some.of the food stood for a while at the restaurant while some food took longer, so I don't think it's the couriers fault.

korma shouldn't have any sort of kick to it & wasn't thick but quite runny, still edible but only because of the price we paid for the whole order. poppadoms were nice

The foodcwas lovely couldn't fault it. But who ever is checking the orders needs to make sure everything's there. I've ordered 'x2 from here since new year and they have forgotten something each time. Last time poppadom. This time onion bhaji.

Lovely onion bhaji's, nice rogan josh curry. Wasn't keen on the nut rice was abit blanton. They forgot my poppadoms. But I wasn't bothered I had enough to eat for sure.

Excellent meal. Hot on arrival too. Definitely the best Indian takeaway locally. Highly recommend.

Really like this takeout, quality didn't disappoint and chicken lovely, but felt items such as naan bread were overpriced for size.

Took ages to deliver. Was hot but could tell had been stored hot as the nann bread was chewy and hard, the samosas were soggy not crispy, took forever to arrive

This is my second order but unfortunately the order was late after a long wait anyway and it was pretty bland and the bread was over cooked. Previous order was much better. Also very very expensive. Wasn’t really worth the cost at all this time round.

I ordered our meal at 8.10pm, the meal turned up at 9.45pm, it did say a possible 55 minutes, but each time I checked the time had moved! Disappointed as this was my birthday and I chose to order from here! Popadums were smashed up, nothing resembled an actual popadum, the rest was nice though. Never have issues any other time, I'd still recommend.

Food nice but absolutely swimming in grease and oil, inch thick sitting on top of every dish. They used to be better here.

Not enough lamb and too much tomato and onion so not great value for money. Although didn't order king prawn thought prawns could have been bigger as seemed all sauce. We normally eat in and never have an issue.

Ordered at 7.20, with a delivery window of 7.55 to 8.15. Continuously pushed back until 8.55 and then updates stopped. Rang restaurant, to chase up. Food arrived at 9.20 - barely warm.

Ordered 7:13, estimated delivery time 7:50, kept moving back more and more, called at 8:30 and told they were very busy (fair enough) but then suddenly managed to have our food ready to order after the phone call. Finally got the food at 9pm, food only just warm, chicken very dry, naan cold and hard. Very disappointed because we've eaten here many times and always loved the food before. I understand being busy on a Saturday night but food was a massive letdown after waiting so long

Wrong order received, ordered £50 worth of food received someone else’s order for £20. Contacted restaurant absolutely appalling attitude, no replacement offered!!

Excellent. On time, tasty food. Little pricier than other take outs but tastes great so don't mind the bit extra.

This is without doubt the best Indian we’ve ever had EVERYTHING was so tasty and the lamb in the bhuna was so tender

Food over all was nice but everything was extremely oily. The bhuna in particular had a centimeter of oil on top. The korma was amazing though.

Very easy to order. Delivered on time. Food was lovely, hot and very tasty. Stepped out of my comfort zone and ordered lamb, with a hope it wouldn't be chewy, it most definitely wasn't. We will definitely use this take away again..

Good food, consistent quality, good variety of dishes. Expensive but its a once every so often treat. Would recommend, I imagine in house even better.
