Granddaughters birthday food could not fault it superb service first class our favourite Indian no need to go into town always enjoy there

That was the worst take away from Bombay brassiere, the rice was horrible and tasted stale, there was cheese over the starter and shouldn’t be . And one of the curries was really over powering with heat and no taste it looked like mashed potato consistency with a big whole green chilli dumped it the onion Bhaji was very greasy . I will never go there again . It’s expensive, but you expect the quality and it usually is good but tonight it was awful half of the whole meal £53 thrown in the bin .

Gorgeous food, as always. Had a lovely mixed grill with a salad garnish for a lighter touch on a hot day. The onion bhaji was the best I've ever had, a ball of onion loveliness, light and loose, with a subtle back flavour of spice. Keema nan was lovely. All arrived hot and very early.

Food is one of the best in Nottingham. They have opened since 1999 and have held their own shoulders. Amazing staff, great food, great service. It's too perfect. I highly recommend this.

The food has to be the best I’ve tasted in a long time. Chicken Madras, chicken korma and keema Nan bread was just delicious and freshly made. Very generous portions as well. The waiter was very polite and friendly. We will definitely return the next time we are in Mapperley Nottingham! 🥰😋👏👏👏

Was allowed in at 10pm and was very quickly told that 11pm was the closing time. After the 5 of us had ordered, food was served within 5 minutes and was nuclear hot, no doubt from it being micro-waved to oblivion. Food was poor. I had the Bombay special, a dish I have had before at this restaurant and had previously enjoyed. Atmosphere was not very welcoming with manager constantly looking over at us and looking at the clock. This was not a pleasant dining experience. It felt rushed and the staff, especially the manager, were unfriendly. Have eaten here in the past on several occasions admittedly not for a few years. But I suspect that there may have been a change of ownership.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Abid is an Amazing host, from the moment You walk in. The food is always outstanding and Never disappoints.

Dined at Bombay for a friends birthday, we all had the most amazing meal! If I could give more stars for service, I would! The food was delicious, the staff were attentive and the atmosphere was perfect. Can’t wait to visit again.

it still hasn't arrived. we know the delivery has been out for an hour and still no sign. appalling communication with the restaurant who did not contact the driver for us and would only tell us that the food was out for delivery after we rang them twice.

Ate in on Easter bank holiday, everything was perfect as usual. You can always rely on Bombay for an amazing meal with fantastic service. We had a garlic and peshwari naan, and they were the best naans we have ever had. Would recommend Bombay to anyone!

Very disappointing evening meal here. Chairs are cheap and uncomfortable and the lighting is very drab. Toilets were clean-ish but there was hardly any toilet roll and it was a busy evening so you think staff would have topped up the rolls. Dying flowers were plonked in between sinks and the hand soap was the cheap kind that makes your hands itch. Food was bland, no coriander leaves to add a splash of colour or presentational flourish. Chicken pieces were hard and overcooked and sauce was like tomato soup … absolutely no subtle flavour. Naan bread was good. I had tonic water which was tepid and flat… like the bottle was opened hours before. The floating coffee was truly dreadful….really bitter and I think they had used cream out of a can… absolutely awful…. I had not been here in years and I will not be going back either. Extremely disappointing in every aspect.

We wanted to have a really nice dinner and we did! We didn't book ahead, but they were able to accommodate us. The meals were very well done and tasted really great. I particularly loved that we were advised to share just a bowl of rice because when it came out, I was glad we listened 😂. The rice was more than enough, and so was the naan. We'll definitely visit again

All i can say is wow! From service to atmosphere to food honestly i would give this place 10 stars if i could! Abid is so polite and attentive and made me and my partner feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, even given a free drink while sat chatting after our meal didnt feel rushed to leave in the slightest so much to commend even before getting on to the food! By far the best food we have eaten in a long time literally cooked to perfection, so fresh and not greasy at all! If curry is your thing and you havent visited Bombay you havent lived yet. Im not one for reviews but if anywhere deserves the praise this place does! Thankyou Abid for a great experience and also great service from our waitress too!

Fantastic food which always arrives lovely and hot. However, think twice about placing orders on a Saturday night. This is the second time I've had to wait over 2 hours for food to arrive. I even ordered really early at 5.30pm. After two phone calls half an hour apart I was told food was on its way, it's now nearly 8pm. Not even a compensatory poppadoms! Such a shame to leave customers in the lurch like this. I shan't order on Saturdays again.

Had a meal here for my Granddaughter 21st birthday my wife had made her a cake which the proprietor had no problems with plus he gave her a bottle of Prosecco which I thought was a very nice gesture will be going back

Awful service, ordered from them loads of times. Said they tried to ring me 3 times, no miss calls at all. Said it was my word against there's but surely they can check call logs! Horrible customer service.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Booked a night there tonight NYE...for my boss who has cerebral palsy .. to be turned away saying it wasn't booked.. totally unhelpful, put the phone down on me when i first rang . very rude. Totally unsympathetic, and lied! Absolutely disgusted with them.

Tops marks for toilets on ground floor with people who have disabilities essential. The vibe in restaurant was lovely. When my friend and I were seated we felt cold but lovely waiter reseated us. The food we ate was very tasty and we didn't wait too long. The service was great we enjoyed our celebration meal out. Thanks God bless.

Food was amazing as usual. Delivery was late called to chase some issue with drivers was told it was on its way. Driver didnt call when they arrived as requested due to us being in flats so I only found him when I went downstairs to the lobby.

We have eaten here with friends on a previous occasion and we were really impressed with the food, the service and the friendliness of the owner. So we made a booking for a graduation dinner for 9 people. The owner suggested meals to us, offered to adjust the spicy ingredients if we wished and to keep the dishes containing nuts completely separate. We all ordered different meals as well as rice, parathas and naan bread and all of the food was delicious. The owner could not have been more helpful, even offering to send out for pineapple juice for the youngest member of our party. We brought a celebration cake with us and this was served with candles, plates and forks. All in all, the restaurant made our special occasion extra special - thank you.

My wife and I visited Bombay Brasserie for the first time for our anniversary and I was extremely impressed with the service and food. I would say that this was by far the best Indian meal I've ever had. It was absolutely delicious. The drinks arrived within the first few minutes and when we ordered the food arrived very quickly aswell. All of the staff were very friendly and the owner was charming even seeing us to the door. I thought it was also very reasonable. We will definitely be going back and taking our friends!!

Recently got takeout. Pathia and Keema Naan were good with a decent spice level, however Paneer Tikka was below average Service wise, it took a while to arrive (according to the app they use their own drivers so can't blame the app) so I had to nuke it in the microwave to warm it up to be edible. They also forgot poppadoms which is pretty annoying when you pay for them Certainly a decent meal overall but with the downsides mentioned, as well as this being on the more expensive side with other options around I doubt I'll be going back

The puri bread was very doughy undercooked. The rogan josh had not enough garlic in and the sauce was very thick. However the naan, pilau rice and poppadoms where very fresh and nice.

Food here is amazing!! Everything was perfect and there was lots left over, we even brought our left overs home and ate them the next day.

Fantastic food delivered hot, what i’d imagine is a sort of Riata dip wasn’t the best though, not much flavour and a slightly off taste but that doesn’t take away from the quality of the meal at all. Just an honest pointer!

First time visiting with recently moved into the area. The food was absolutely delicious not overpowered with spice and very filling. Service was excellent with the gentlemen that served us were very pleasant and made us feel welcomed as if we have been there before. Definitely recommended and will happily return again.

This has been my first visit back here for a few years and I am happy to report that it is still as brilliant as ever. The service was very friendly and attentive. On top of this, the food was delicious. I’m already looking forward to my next meal here.

The mains were really tasty, the tandoori food excellent , the Chicken Tikka Balti, one of the best have had in a long time, full of flavour and cooked really well, I will order from here again, feel fully satisfied and worth the money. The reason for 4 stars, the onion bhaji, for me , was not good and don't recommend, the condiments for Poppadom's was strange , didn't taste well and actually lowered the standard.

Not impressed with the quality of the food for the price, you can get much better Indian food at lower prices in the same area. The wine was very over priced too and wasn't great quality either. Last visit, we gave it a chance

I had the unfortunate experience of encountering the restaurant owner during my visit to this restaurant , and I must say, he was incredibly unprofessional and rude. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this owner had a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Firstly, the owner was visibly disinterested and unengaged with his customers. He seemed more focused on chatting with his staff or playing on his phone than attending to the needs of the customers . Furthermore, when we had an issue with the quality of service , the owner was dismissive and argumentative. Instead of listening to our concerns or offering a solution, he simply brushed us off and made excuses for the poor quality. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for this owner. Lastly, the owner's attitude towards feedback was appalling. When we decided to leave a complaint, he responded with hostility and defensiveness. He seemed incapable of accepting any criticism or taking responsibility for the issues raised. It was clear that his ego and pride were more important than addressing customer concerns. Overall, our experience with the restaurant and its owner was incredibly negative. His unprofessionalism, rude demeanor, disrespect towards both customers and employees, and refusal to take accountability left a lasting bad impression. I would strongly advise anyone considering dining at this establishment to think twice before supporting such a poorly managed establishment.

Extremely Disappointing: Rude Boss & Poor Service My visit to this restaurant was a complete letdown. The boss's behavior was unprofessional and downright rude. The lack of hospitality from the staff left me feeling unwelcome. Not to mention, the exorbitant prices for the food made the whole experience even worse. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

From the moment I entered the establishment, the owner's demeanor was dismissive and unwelcoming. The lack of customer service was evident throughout my meal. The owner seemed more interested in chatting with friends or regular customers, neglecting the needs of other diners. When I tried to ask a question about the menu, I was met with impatience and a condescending tone. To make matters worse, the owner's attitude seemed to permeate the entire staff. The waitstaff appeared stressed and unwilling to assist diners. The overall atmosphere was tense and uncomfortable. On top of the poor service, the food did not live up to the hype. The dishes lacked the promised flavors, and some were even improperly cooked. I expected a memorable culinary experience, but sadly, I left feeling disappointed and unsatisfied. In summary, my visit to this restaurant was marred by the rude and unprofessional behavior of the owner. The lack of hospitality and subpar food make it difficult for me to recommend this restaurant to others. I hope that the management addresses these issues to improve the overall dining experience for future patrons.

Horrible experience!!! The service staff and owner were extremely aggressive. Clearly not fit to work. I have never experienced such behaviour. Service staff brought our bill and refused to take order after our starter with asking for it. The owner and another server was trying to lecture us on how to order in restaurant and refused to take our main course order. It’s a shame you call yourself a restaurateur !!!! I am also not surprised with some similar experience reviews that has been shared on this platform. Zero recommendations…. Terrible…. Please do some yoga and retrain yourselves on customer service !!!!

we went to the chinese restaurant (chungs) over the road and the menu was not to our liking so we left and spotted bombay over the road we had never been there before but my gosh what a place the staff are super friendly and the food is amazing so unbelievably tasty we have now got a indian restaurant for life keep it up guys❤️

Went out for dinner with family. Service was excellent, as was the food. We all had a great night.

Amazing staff, amazing food, great laugh. The staff were very friendly and we even got offered free drinks in the end as it was my brother's birthday. Any other restaurant would never do that. The food is just next level. The chefs are excellent, all of the lamb and chicken is so tender that it just falls apart when picking it up by the fork. It's just too lovely. The atmosphere is also excellent for a quiet and romantic night out and also a group up party. The floor is amazing as he greeted us with a smile and stayed with us through the night to make sure everything went perfectly with us. It was a very busy night fully booked as I was told and could see myself on the Saturday night, but somehow the staff managed them all, so kudos to them. I will One hundred percent recommend this to everyone I know and we will definitely book for further parties and quiet night outs with my wife.

Last minute birthday surprise. All the staff went above and beyond to make my husbands birthday extra special. The food was delicious & plentiful. My husband likes to think of himself as an Indian food connoisseur and rated the Chicken Tikka Jalfrazi as one of the best he’s tasted. We were all very impressed with the quality of food and the wonderful atmosphere. We look forward to our next visit and highly recommend this lovely restaurant. BTW - the table Nan is outstanding, super soft cloudy bread

I ordered a take away meal which was delivered to my house. The person delivering the food was efficient and couteous. The food was delicious and piping hot, and the portions were very generous. Thank you for a delicious meal.

The menu stated chips which cost £3 they were fries in a small bag and quite dry and not hot enough. Every thing is small to say that you pay nearly £30

Both curries ordered were very nice and flavour some, but very expensive, rice also very nice and flavour some. Onion bhajis were an absolute disgrace, I will never order them again, £4.95 for two very small flat tasteless so-called onion bhajis in a paper bag is an absolute disgrace! Garlic and cheese Nana was very good and excellent flavour.

Stale popodoms at first, did change when asked. Average food. At least the beer was lovely and l cold. The icing on the cake was when I saw my credit card bill online the next day to see they charged £10 more than the total!!!!!! A possible accident, but I am cynical......

Brilliant! The best around by far

My partner is known by name as we both frequent the restaurant but after covid take away , the prices are extreme £4 more for the same dish for example from Woodthorpe tandoori, I called my partner (lee) to tell him the price as he had spoken to a manager ( or someone that knows him by name ) to let them know he can get it delivered on deliveroo cheaper , whoever he spoke to said he would look into it , when I called to order I said it was for lee and explained the above , not bothered , he cancelled the order ! After all the money we have spent and the owner ( adapting our dishes to my pallet) and being extremely personal, we will not be spending our money again , whoever has spoken to us this evening is not to your advantage! ,
