Bombay Flame in Camden

I called in For to ask them about their stuffed paratha I had a long conversation about how they cook it and what I expected ..it should not be hard seeing as it is their cultural food ..I said I wanted my paratha to be thin even dough all the way to the edges..he assured me that i what I will get ..what I got was thick hard chewy dough ..WHAT A DISGRACE

La señora y yo visitamos un jueves por la noche a eso de las 7 pm, después de un día de trekking por todo Londres. El tipo que nos recibió fue muy amable y nos ofreció un par de mesas para elegir, ya que no estaba muy ocupado. Nos sentamos junto a la ventana y hojeamos el menú en la amplia gama de opciones disponibles. Optamos por puré de gambas, curry de pescado goan y dhansak de gambas. Obviamente un hombre como yo tenía que comprar arroz con setas y un peshwari naan también. Estaba delicioso, el hombre se sentía como si estuviera en el centro de Panaji o Kolhapur o Thiruvananthapuram o algo así. La comida se servía caliente y era muy sabrosa. El servicio era un poco lento, pero no fue ningún problema, ya que no teníamos prisa. La ubicación es fácil de encontrar, justo al lado de Kilburn High Road. Sin duda recomiendo si estás en Kilburn.

A bit disappointing - dishes lacking flavour, onion bhajis in particular wouldn’t have been edible without the extra chutneys I ordered.

La comida es genial, auténtica y sabrosa. El servicio sin embargo es IMPRESIONANTE. El equipo era acogedor, atento a nuestras necesidades, y amable. Mis hijos que estaban muy cansados después de un largo día caminando por Londres, recuperaron su energía y humor a medida que los platos seguían llegando. Las porciones eran generosas y nos dieron aperitivos adicionales. A mi esposa no le gustó su plato fuerte y cambiaron sin siquiera pensarlo. Gracias chicos!

What a wonderful and pleasant discovery. We took our kids on a short visit to London and we wanted to treat them to a good Indian restaurant (a must do for me while in London). Unable to get a table in popular restaurants downtown, we landed at the Bombay Flame through a friend recommandation. And boy, we were AMAZED. If the food was great, authentic and tasty, the service AWESOME. They were welcoming, attentive, and friendly. They gave us extra pieces so each one of us tasted the appetizers we ordered. They even changed graciously my wife main course as the seasoning wasn’t to her liking. A superb experience.

The lime pickle was too salty to eat The mango chutney was just an orange, sweet, smooth liquid, that didn’t seem to have ever been near a mango. The naan was completely cold. The mutton xacutti was okay. Sauces in other dishes were a bit watery.

10/10 amazing Lamb Madras, loads of sauce and flavour. Lamb was tender. Perfect Popadoms and really nice Pilau Rice.

Food tasted ok but oily, delivered late.

Visiting from Birmingham, I thought I had to lower my expectations but was pleasantly surprised. I wouldn't order starters next time as the mains are good enough. The driver was very friendly and appologetic for the delay.

Lamb was very chewy in Tandoori mix grill . Chicken curry tastes very ordinary.

Ordered for 1st time with this restaurant. Recieved a free can of cider which was a nice touch. Although food tasted good it wasn't the best I've had. Not much sauce in the curries, they were thick and full of veg. Rice portion could be bigger considering it's almost £4 for it. Would not recommend anyone getting the chicken tikka, what is normally a red/orange dish came a bland yellow colour. Not sure I'll be ordering from here again just glad I ordered on a night with 30% off.

The pakora is basically a soggy chicken nuggets! Avoid avoid! Shashlik is lacking meat and veggies, very stingy and the Biryani is just not great, undercooked and just lightly seasoned. Overall not great

Food was not bad. I received two small cans of complimentary drinks. The guy must have checked them, said there’s alcohol in it, do I drink? Bag should have been sealed n wasn’t. He shouldn’t have asked questions. Just Eat should do something.

Our first time ordering, food was delicious, we appreciated the wide selection of dishes. The naan though was very dry and tasted quite stale, the sag aloo only had 6 pieces of potatoes and likewise with the paneer, only 5 pieces. The green masala chicken tikka did not include tandoor chicken pieces as do most places and again only had 5 pieces in it. We will definitely order again but hope we end up with less than a few mouthfuls each.

It’s really the closest restaurant to my crib. Actually really good and about £40 for 2 people. Obv the butter chicken, Bhaji, samosas and naan were good but biryani was awesome

Tried this restaurant for the first time, must say the food and the service was great the food hygiene was also rate 5 star. Compare to the current financial situation the price was very reasonable too. We definitely come back and also recommend to the others to try. Best of luck.

The food was quite good, delivery on time and the restaurant offered a large 40% discount, resulting in an excellent quality price.

Disgusting, the food arrived cold as it was late but I heated it up anyways. The actual taste of the korma was nasty it just takes like almond flour and water. I called the restaurant 3 times so I could deal with them directly before leaving this review and they didn’t pick up the phone. The food was so bad that even my hungry hoover little brother wouldn’t eat it, went in the bin. Waste of time and money.

Visited here when passing through seeing friends. Nice little restaurant tucked away off the main road. Pleasant staff and good selection of food. Only down side was delivery man coming and going through main door every 5 mins and it’s worth asking the waiter for recommendations as my partners food was a tad too spicy. Defiantly worth visiting again.

our food arrived about 15 minutes late, onion bhaji's were so oily I can actually squeeze the oil out and it was sickening, peshawar nan's were cold and not cooked properly very doughy,also did not receive the mint sauce and did not receive the tikka poppadoms. very unhappy specially this is the first time am ordering from this restaurant.

Ordered a takeaway from Bombay flame as I have eaten there in the past and have always enjoyed the food. The takeaway arrived around an hour and 10 minutes after ordering.The food itself was terrible the most oily meal I have ever had, after every mouthful I had to wipe the oil off my lips so two mouthfuls in I couldn't eat anymore. I tried to take some of the oil out of meal but it was impossible as the whole meal was oil with 5 lumps of chicken and some sort of gravy that did not taste like any kind of curry sauce I have eaten in the past. I ended up eating dry naan bread as I couldn't even dip it into the oily mess.It has been a few years since I have had food from Bombay flame and the food has totally gone downhill in a massive way which is a real shame as the meals in the past were lovely. I will not be visiting or ordering any food from here again to be honest after this terrible experience and waste of money.

I ordered chicken tikka masala and some garlic paneer naan through deliveroo to my hotel in Maida Vale, and it DID NOT disappoint! The flavor in everything was excellent… the tikka masala was bursting with spice and personality, the naan was fresh, hot, and super soft - it arguably may be the best Indian food I’ve ever had! Next time I visit London, I will surely go out of my way to visit or order from here again!

We love the food from Bombay Flame and order regularly - the food is brilliant and always comes hot. We just wish it was more consistent. For example, sometimes delivery takes over an hour, other times its within 30 mins. Yesterday the order was missing poppadoms, but they included chutneys. Sometimes they give the wrong curry. When it's right it's great, you're just never really 100% confident.

My local go to. Been ordering different dishes and always great.
