Ate before a game at Forest, thought we'd be waiting ages for food because it was really busy but it was served in perfect time, food was lovely.

First class food and very friendly service. Cooking is of the highest quality with more than the usual choice of dishes. Pakoras and samosas were light and crisp. Meat is tender and dishes well spiced. Definitely a cut above the average curry house.

Made a booking on their system, a few hours after my friends had done same and had it confirmed (Hi, We have received your booking for Bombay Bridgford on 14/01/25. Please accept this email as confirmation of your table reservation.). They took other bookings and then decided they wanted to shorten my reservation to 45 minutes to accomodate someone arriving later and when I queried whether that was sufficient time to be served they said I'd need to pre-order my food. Suddenly my reservation was like a take away! Clearly not happy with that, but they offered no compensation or other options, then just cancelled booking altogether. Poor poor service, beware your reservation may NOT be honoured. IN RESPONSE TO YOUR DISHONEST RESPONSE: I note you don't dispute that your reservation system took and confirmed my booking and that you cancelled it. Nor do you dispute any of the facts I set out. But you are dishonest as you suggest I was not polite in every communication. Please do let me know how you suggest I was rude? Didn't happen, but I see now you want to lecture me on planning, when it's your system that accepts reservations with caveats, perhaps plan a better system. As for threats, please do let me know what this lies pertains to, as you are spreading maliciously. I made no threat, it's an easy throw away line to try to defend yourselves and attempt to make me look bad. Yes, I asked how you were proposing to compensate me for having taken a booking, reduced it to 45 minutes and then to a pre order. A priority booking next match, a free drink or round of poppadom for the inconvenience, it's not unreasonable to consider when it's your system and your error that would greatly reduce my experience. But instead you rudely just cancelled my reservation and now choose to spread lies. We encourage you to consider treating customers with more respect in the future. Perhaps early planning on your reservation system, when you are full, so you don't take further reservations that require people to inhale their food or preorder like a take-away.

Slightly disappointed with the amount or lack of, normally we get more for our money but this time very small portions and also needed to be reheated as was cold.

Lovely night with a large group of 13 people. I had a lamb biryani & keema naan. Food was balanced, good level of spice for a sensitive palate like mine. Others had land shanks, butter chicken etc. Well presented, decent speed of service considering the group size. Around £40 a head with a couple drinks as well.

Christmas Day lunch, what a fabulous decision it was to do something different this year for Christmas lunch. Such a warm greeting when we arrived, and smiling attentive staff. Food was absolutely delicious, really good value for money, will definitely do this again next year.

Food was absolutely freezing chips are rock hard nothing was warm to eat £63 and this was the worst curry I have ever seen unedible I demand a full refund instantly no one has touched the food as it cannot be eaten

We were in the area for the night and so decided to give this place a try. Impeccable, friendly service and delicious food. I’d probably recommend having a rice dish each, but otherwise, everything was perfect!

I’m not usually one for Butter chicken, but I tried it on my friends recommendation. And it is great, really tasty. Never had a bad meal here.

Late on Wednesday after a very heavy day at work I was welcomed into here and had a fantastic meal. Authentic, good value really great flavours. By far the best Indian in Bridgford, beware fancy recent 'Insta' obsessed incomers who rip you off for far worse food/service.

Got a mix grill which was an absolutely awful. The whole thing had no seasoning. The lamb had a big chewy fat cap and the prawn was rubbery like a dog chew. I wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone

Interesting place. Decent food but boisterous crowd being near the cricket ground. We came for a business dinner, relatively empty and not on a match day. The waiters were attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was nice with a scent of lemon, almost antiseptic at times,this was different for an Indian restaurant. We had the mixed grill, achhoor gostch and chilli chicken with garlic naan, rice and salad. The mixed grill was decent in flavour but I would have liked a little more meat for the cost. The new achhoor gosht (lamb) was excellent and the standout dish with the naan. The chicken was OK. The salad was a let down being lettuce and onion only. The crowd was very boisterous, not what I was expecting for a non match day. Cost was more steep end for the food but manageable.

We visited Bombay Bridgford on our visit last week in West Bridgford. I highly recommend this amazing Indian restaurant! Unique and delicious recipes and the staff very friendly and always helpful!! Give it a try it won’t disappoint!! We had a dinner on our first night we arrived and decided to go again on our last night of our week in Nottingham!!

The food was costly and of poor quality. I will never go there again.

Order was £25 and horrible. Portion size was dreadful, and you can't be calling that a 'Pasanda', now I love pasanda and have tried at many places, and this was the worst. Very bland and all I could taste was the minted lamb. It was just minted lamb in sauce. The rice.. well tasted very much like microwave rice. I also paid nearly £4 for gulab Jamun and received 2 balls? Kind of expect 3-4 at that price... Finally... if my usual place 'Park tandoori' was open I could have ordered this and more for a lot less and the portion sizes are alot bigger, hotter and nicer. Not saying I don't recommend but the bad reviews for me show more than a million great ones.

We always have a wonderful meal when we go to Bombay Bridgford. Service is wonderful, they always manage to find us a table and are so welcoming. The food is delicious, classics but also some unique dishes as well.

Fish was slimy and under cooked. Rest was nice. Shame as usually very good

Very small portions. £6 for two tiny pieces of chicken tikka. Even as a starter it's not good value. Taste was ok but unfortunately won't order again as it not worth it.

Went for dinner a couple of nights ago. The service was great and the food was beautiful. Not been for ages but definitely need to go back soon

The food was not as good as a similar meal we had in the restaurant and it was delivered 30 minutes before it was due which meant it had to go into a cold oven to keep it warm until we were ready to eat it. We received no warning from the restaurant that they were delivering early.

So disappointing. The rogan josh was very salty and didn’t taste good. The pilau rice was a weird brown colour, and the garlic naan didn’t taste of garlic at all.

Really good curry. I chose one of the spicier items (off a large menu choice) and did not dissapoint! Have been twice and would go back again if in Nottingham.

Delish food and great service. Honestly some of the best Indian food I've had in Nottingham. We had a chicken special and the seafood curry and it was so nice!

Very disappointing the biryani was very watery and had to poor excess water from the plate prior to adding sauce. The butter paneer masala tasted nice but 4 slim slices in lots of sauce wasn’t value for money. Unfortunately would not order again.

First class food and service. Don't go here if you want the British version of Indian food. This is authentic Indian food from a limited menu, which is cooked and served to perfection. Loved absolutely everything and the milk cake for dessert was divine. 💕

I normally LOVE this restaurant. Tonight the food was appalling. Bhajis were cold and soggy, naan was crispy and burnt, lamb masala was cubes of cold lamb in what could only be called cool gravy. I always recommend this restaurant but tonight would only give it 1 out of 10. So disappointed.

Our go-to local restaurant for the past 10 years. Always delicious food and very well looked after. Just beware of going on days when Nottingham Forest are playing at home - it can get very busy and quite noisy!

Was just OK. They put loads of veg with the tandoori but it wasn't grilled just raw.. bit weird. Either their tandoori oven is rubbish or doesn't exist. Stale poppadoms. Tiny portion of overcooked rice. Jalfrezi taste good but oily.

The korma was abit spicy and I’m pretty sure it is not suppose to be like that and to be honest the meal was average sorry to say

Went to. The Bombay Bridgford with my daughter on Friday evening. We wanted an authentic meal rather than the food served in the City Centre restaurants ...and we weren't disappointed. A slight mix-up meant we missed out on our Starter, but the Chicken Tikka Chettinad I had as a main dish was really delicious. Sonia, the lady in charge was very apologetic about the Starter and explained she was training new staff. This hasn't put us off and we will definitely be going again.

The spiciest and tastiest curry I've ever had. Really gorgeous family run resturant. The staff have all the time for you in the world. They have many different dishes that you wouldn't find in other Indian restaurants and great wines too. They are happy to make meat dishes veggie too where possible

This was an awful meal. We ordered once before and found it was expensive and the portions were small. However, the food was fresh and tasty which is hard to go find. We decided to order £40 worth to take advantage of the free delivery. The lamb shank Rogan Josh was completely cold and wasn't easy to remove from the bone, at nearly £15 for this dish, this is incredibly disappointing. The poppadoms were oily and the raita smelt sour. We weren't able to eat the majority of the meal which has felt like an expensive learning curve.

Food was not very tasty and portions were very small

just eat wont let me select 25 mins for some reason but it was 25 mins early. food was alright, i ordered the mushroom rice and ended up flicking all the mushrooms out as they looked like tinned mushrooms. id say both of us thought there was far too much corriander in the rice which kind of overpowered everything else. quite pricey so not sure we’ll reorder 🫤

We visited for an impromptu evening meal and were pleased the restaurant could accommodate us. The service was quick despite the restaurant being quite busy with diners and people collecting takeaway (which is done from a separate area to the restaurant). We enjoyed a beer whilst we looked through the menu, and didn't feel rushed. The starters were really tasty and beautifully presented. I couldn't decide what to have for my main course and the restaurant manager suggested the new chefs special. I wasn't disappointed, it was delicious and I would certainly order it again. This isn't a standard restaurant that churns out tikka masala all day. This restaurant has a shorter menu with carefully chosen dishes, beautifully flavoured, and offers something different to the norm. This is the fourth time that we have eaten here and we have been very happy with our meals each time.

It's a nice restaurant quite near Trent Bridge, so parking's a bit difficult. Service was pleasant and the menu extensive enough, but my Chicken Tawa was disappointing because of the slices of tandoori chicken... not how I like a tawa to be...samosas tasty though.

We've been going here for almost 20 years and the standard of food and service has always been excellent. Their greatest strength is consistency, unlike some restaurants where you can order the same meal 2 visits apart and they're completely different, the Bombay has a reassuring consistency and you know that what you order will be the same as it ever was. The owners and staff are always polite professional and friendly.

Absolutely delicious and was right on time

Good but the rice portion could have been bigger, the price was a bit high for the quantity of food . Would have been better to have had a microwave meal for a fraction of the price . It may not have tasted as good as the takeaway but it would have satisfied my hunger and be cheaper. But I suppose that’s the case for all takeaways now with the cost of living.

Lovely place. You get your classics but they have specialised menus which have some great food on them! More authentic than most curry houses.

Heerlijk gegeten, vriendelijke service... er is genoeg keuze voor vlees, vis en vegetarische eters..

One of the best Indian restaurants I've come across. Brilliant customer service, friendly staff and the onion bhajis are a slice of heaven. (Adding Ras Malai to your desserts menu would be great!)
