Always lovely staff always good food.. you want it cooked fresh just before arriving they will do it…. Good people… food ain’t bad either

Amazing atmosphere got my food with in 5 minutes after ordering

I have used this place regularly, the standard has gone down and the prices up. Our meal was late, overcooked and yet cold. Haddock was dry, scampi were dark brown and the Greek salad had halloumi instead of feta. The salad was also covered in dried herbs, which gave it a gritty texture and a bitter taste. In all, another disappointment that will make me try elsewhere next time.

Yet another delivery failure why can't businesses get things right when you place an order online clearly stating you want hot chilli om your kebab and yet again its missing spooky my whole meal not impressed

Terrible food and shocking customer service, cod bites completely mushy, looked like raw batter. Chips undercooked and mushy, chicken burgers hard with dry cobs and freezing cold. Nothing nice about any of it. Rang to complain and were not interested in anything we had to say.

Ordered chicken tikka wrap, and a lamb and donner mix kebab with chips. The chicken tikka wrap was awful, no taste, lots of skin and rubbish meat. Donner was very dry and tasted like cardboard and chips were dry, one of the worse takeaways we have been to. Don't waste your money here. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

The fish was burnt and chewy. Chips were cold - hugely disappointed. £10.20 was charged for a cod and small chips. Not cheap but the food was very poor. Will not be going back. I think Bottesford chippy is calling! Well I just felt I had to come back on here for an update. I started being sick at 3am on Sunday morning and finally stopped at 1pm Sunday afternoon. Never felt so ill. Needles to say I definitely won't be going back.

Ordered for delivery and got the dinner wrap, must’ve had 7 bits of meat in it! It’s been a few years since I’ve had a kebab and for £7.50 I expected more meat than salad

For a takeaway fish n chips for Mother in law. Chips were awful.. been sitting for a while, soggy and tasteless.. fish batter was the same...I won't be returning.

Lovely family business with polite staff

Omg, stopped going here due to the poor food. Decided to order as the only chippy that delivers and it was a waste of £40. Uncooked fish….the batter was still runny underneath a thin skin!! Chips were greasy as hell, all soggy, same as onion rings. Won’t be going again, wasting money every time.

Amazing food and amazing service. We received a call from Emma to say the delivery drivers car had broken down, and they were remaking the order, and she would deliver it herself. Kept us updated when she was on her way and when she was almost with us. Fantastic 5 star service. Most businesses would have just refunded the meal and left it at that. The food itself was amazing, only regret is not ordering from here sooner than tonight. 5 stars all round, highly recommend.

Great food, great banter, great shame, no more spam fritters

Having contemplating for a couple of Hours I picked up the phone and asked to speak to the manager .I told him I was extremely embarrassed to be calling but I asked if there was any way possible he could Provide me with a very small meal as a gesture of good will (community spirit ect )as I had just returned from hospital and had no food wat so ever in doors.I explained the food bank wasn’t open until Tomorrow morning .he said no sorry he’s trying to run a business.the ground literally could have open up and swallowed me the embarrassment I feel now is overwhelming and I suffer really bad with mental health .thanks so much to Bingham fish bar Eaton place when I asked for help without hesitation they helped me and were very discreet in front of other customers as not to embarrass me any further .kindness goes a long way .

Great place to eat. Service is great and responsive. My usual order is either scampi or nuggets with medium chips and large curry sauce on the side, definitely hits the spot. As a Ukrainian this place gave me the exact experience of traditional British chippy and truly it was amazing and well beyond expectations. Food is served fast and price is acceptable and quality of the food is on top. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Placed an order, unfortunately they couldn't manage to put everything in the bag, ordered scampi costing £5.50, got a portion of burnt tiny whatever they were, when I called to ask where the missing item was told to drive back and collect it, wont be back.

Update Feb 2023. Exactly the same as the original review only thing to add is that the chicken nuggets are real chicken not the reformed stuff! Couldn't fault, fresh chips and freshly cooked fish. Prices are still reasonable given the current COLC. Original review. We normally go to the Eaton fish bar but the fish and sausages didn't look that appetising so thought we would try the Bingham fish bar instead. I had heard mixed reviews but thought we would try. I am glad we did. Very friendly staff and greeted with a smile and asked if I wanted anything to order as they were freshly frying fish. Asked for 2 mini cod and had to wait but didn't mind as we prefer fresh. The fish was the best I have had in Bingham cooked to perfection with a nice bone greasy batter that didntvstick to each other or the paper they use, the mushy peas were not watery and plenty for 2 in the large portion. Large chips were plentiful and not greasy at all for 2 adults and 2 children with the large plain sausages going down well. All in all a very nice meal had by all. Typical chip shop menu with some add ons. Whole chicken if you want one!!! Seemed popular and I believe they deliver and you can pre order on line and pick up direct. Will definitely be buying from here again. Prices were reasonable and they do deals on mini fish meals with chips and side included for currently under a fiver.

Not sure what was worse, the food or the stressful ordering experience. We weren’t allowed any time to read the menu despite saying three times we were trying to choose what we wanted and instead were constantly chirped at to give our orders over. I must point out, the shop was empty apart from us there was no reason to rush us so much. Ended up leaving with food we didn’t really want, that was cold and bland.

Very fast service, when we got home and opened the chips they looked brown, curled up and a bit dry, they were luke warm like they were re heated. We had a chicken and a donner kebab on pitta, lots of salad but it's the smallest amount of meat I have ever had and again was almost cold, no meat was cut whilst we waited so possibly it was being kept warm but not warm enough, so disappointed.

Excellent value even gave us a call to let us know it may be late. Banging chippy.

Run by a Very friendly Greek couple . Very generous portions good quality and always available would recommend anytime and will go again

This has to be the no1 fish shop. They serve fresh fish and chips at a steal of a price. The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful, always greet you with a smile. Definitely have one of the kebabs if you visit/order. Perfection wrapped up

The family who run this are great, always working hard and friendly, I chose this shop for the staff. The prices are very fair, the app and website isn’t great and has let me down on occasion but the guys always fix it. 10 out of 10 for effort.

Best fish and chips I have ever been too.

Went here tonight for a fish cake and chips and a kebab. Been there before hundreds of times but don't know if we will return. There was no kebab meat of any kind at all and no fish. Told by the staff that as it was quiet in the day they weren't bothering with kebabs or fish. My wife got the fish cake and chips which is normally nice but when we got home and opened them both the fish cake and chips looked and tasted like they were cooked yesterday and reheated. Dont bother opening Sunday if you aren't going to bother catering for your regular customers. Absolutely disgusting

One of my favourite places to get this British classic. The staff are always friendly & everything is cooked freshly, with great portion sizes. Give them a go. 👍

Fish and chips were freshly cooked to order and were very tasty.

Tasted good for the first few mouthfuls but after a while all I could taste was old burnt oil.

Pretty good chappie next to Sainsbury's, nice batter on the fish and good portions of chips. Always very friendly. Last takeaway wasnt very hot because we had to wait for Chicken wings which meant chips fish and sausage were waiting too. Well worth a nibble and better value than McD's!

Visited at lunchtime today and enjoyed a mini fish special. Freshly cooked fish and nice chips. An inexpensive feast. Sat in the butter cross square in the fresh air. Pleasant owner, I wish him success. With that formula he deserves to do well.

Owner knows how to give it the chat, creates good rapor with clients and offers good quality chips at a price chips should be. In my book by far the best chippy in Bingham with great deals too. Always gone to this chippy never let me down never had a bad meal from there either, was a good chippy before he owned it too. A fella called Mario owned it did a good job too

Bought chips for the wife they was disgusting hard chips complained no refund offered blamed the size of potato. Would not recommend this place if I could offer no stars I would

ARIIITE chips! But......!!!! I've been on a strict diet of 1200 calories a day and decided to treat myself to a chippy tea! Being from flintham this was the closest chip shop of choice! On arrival home, my fella, opened said chippy tea to discover my beloved curry sauce missing! A travesty!!! Rage filled the household as I turned turned to discover this wasn't another of his white lies, and mushy peas were all to behold! Only to be salvaged by a portion of thick gravy (Homemade of course)!!! Mmmmmmmmm!! Maybe one should perhaps focus on the customer in hand and not the customer behind in the queue!

They were really busy so youd expect fresh fish after waiting 20 mins but the fish was either badly defrosted and overcooked or (and what I suspect more likely) they were flogging pangasius as cod. Was not good, had family over from America and was really embarrassed to give them that rubbish. Chips ok but rushed instead of done properly. Won't be going back anytime soon. This happened in late December 2017.
