Good service pity it's card only

Good food, good drinks, good prices - could do with better cleanliness but otherwise good.

Now I'm all for a spoon but this is definitely in my bottom half of spoons visited. I've been here twice now and both times, super slow service and it's almost been comparable to a playground.

Absolutely amazing! Cheap and tasty. The only reason I put atmosphere as 3 is because sometimes you get a whole family with 8 toddlers running around shouting. Otherwise brilliant.

Update june 2024. Prices have risen in line with the COLC. Still pound for pound best option for drinks. As for food they are obviously trying to try cheaper and different foods. Decor still needs updating although they have replaced some items of furniture. Still best value for money in Bingham as other sit down eateries prices now seem ridiculously high. £16.50 for fish and chips across the road in GILT.!!! Update April 2022. I am assuming there is a new manager as plenty of beer choice in stock. Food menu has been updated again with more choices predominantly chicken but for me this a good thing. Pound for pound still best value even if prices are rising. Staff friendly and very helpful. Decor could do with updating and a refresh maybe in order. Update Feb 22. Needs updating looking a bit drab and had ran out of most of the premium lagers that I drink. Had an issue with my drinks order which the manager could have handled in seconds but patronised me and eventually after a lot of debate was sorted but had ruined my night out with the family. Previously I wouldn't have thought twice about going here but the food prices are now getting to the point where they are no longer a cheap option. Bingham has plenty of take out restaurants for food and supermarkets to get cheap beer from, so staying at home maybe a better option from now on.

Good pub, low cost, good beer selection. Lots of seating and tables. Great for breakfast with the family.

Good food, service was good but not exceptional. Bit of an unfriendly atmosphere not from the staff, but from the customers.

Had a get togeter for a Birthday, the atmosphere was great, service was fast, no complaints at all.

Had birthday meal for our grandaughter aged 11, 6 of us. Excellent meal and venue.

This is a typical JD W pub, very popular and heavily used so don't expect sparkling decor. We found the food hit the spot with something for everyone. Lots of choice, it came out warm and reasonably priced. Free refills are always a good bonus. Service with a smile, family friendly too.

This is a bright and open Wethers and has been consistent for the past 3 years since our first visit.

Friendly. Clean. Consistent food, well cooked.

1st pint tasted flat, changed brilliant after that. Food hot fish batter very crispy almost over cooked,rest of the food very good. Atmosphere excellent staff very friendly.

This is a great pub with a good atmosphere and good selection of beers.

Comfortable and friendly. Visiting friends for the weekend and spent most of it in the Buttercross . Very enjoyable .

The butter cross (formally the crown) is a lovely Wetherspoons pub in the middle of the village. There is an excellent selection of beer, larger and cider. There were four hand pulled cask conditioned real ales and a gorgeous draft cider at 7.5% abv too strong if you are driving. We didn't try the Christmas menu but had a beef madras curry and a gourmet burger, both were excellent. The Staff were very friendly and efficient.

Good place to scran. But it is the only spoons I've been in where they NEVER bring you a straw when you add it on the app

Food only 4* today asked for medium steak and it nearly walked of my plate, but put it down to a 1 off because the food is normally lovely, a very nice lady help sort it out and we enjoyed our visit x

I had the steak, asked for medium to well. When it arrived it was still alive, looking at it. After another 20 minutes wait the second one was much better..

Put it this way, when you decide to go for an outing with family to get food you expect to enjoy and eat together. This didn't seem like the case at all, three of us left without food and we waited that long we ended up eating whilst our party had already finished theirs. With experience working in a similar setting, I find this disappointing. All food for one table should be ready to be able to serve and satisfy a group of customers who ordered together. This could do with some improvement, maybe better staff.

Having given good review to this restaurant a couple of weeks ago I have just been again and had the worst meal ever. Gammon, egg and chips, what could go wrong!!!!!? The gammon was so tough I couldn’t cut it? Loads of fat and soggy rind and also whole meal was lukewarm!!! ,. Been fan of JDW FOR years but will think twice before going again

Really poor food will not be coming again

Absolutely terrible service. The average age in here is over 65. Waited so long for a meal 3 people died of old age. The excuse was that it was market day. Who cares. Get more staff. Awful. Avoid.

Great place to eat cheaply. Food is tasty and will not break your bank. Good deals that include a pint or other drink. Very busy, can be a bit noisy but it is great to take young families and to go if you cannot be bothered to cook.

There weren't enough staff members manning the tills. When I was served, the staff member wasn't 100% sure where to find items on the till. They then couldn't work the tills properly. When my food order was taken, other tables were served before our before ours, which not only arrived cold but the order was also put through wrong, so half of our food didn't arrive!

Great value gourmet steak with a pint. Under £14. Food was very good. Just need to ensure tables are not so sticky !

Great service lovely food and nice atmosphere will definitely be visiting again ! Also great value for money I had the lemon and herb chicken with spicy rice and the chicken was cooked beautifully and the rice had just the right amount of spice. Keep up the good work !

Very good Food and friently Personal

Typical spoons sticky tables etc but I have to say one of the best I’ve been in. Cheap and cheerful but excellent value for money as usual, we had food and top marks to them. Fish and chips the fish was real ! Proper batter well done. I enjoyed a pint of beer in with the price well worth paying a visit.

Always go here for food and a drink would recommend this to everyone.

Always loved Bingham wetherspoons. People and the staff are friendly, surroundings very modern and clean. Food always arrives on time,never waiting to long once ordered. Staff will let you know if the meal isn't available anymore. One of my favourites 😃

Really nice vibe, loads of seats, order-at-table facility, good prices and nice staff. Not really a ‘spoons type of guy, but this place is definitely worth a visit.

price is very competitive, food served hot and tastes good. Just a bit noisy at lunch hours as the tables are quite close.

It’s a Wetherspoon - one of the nicer interiors although ready for a refurb. Best thing is they stay open on Monday and Tuesday when there’s not many customers about. So good for a pint when everywhere else is closed.

I ordered a mixed grill NOT asked about cooking meat hence on arrival meat NOT cooked to my liking, food stacked high on small VERY COLD plate so food only JUST WARM, onion rings NOT CRISP, I ordered a sauce for £1.35 extra it came in a VERY SMALL DISH WHICH WAS ABOUT 1/4 FULL supposed to be Jack Daniels BUT TASTED like ordinary BARBECUE SAUCE, I would have complained BUT THE STAFF DIDN'T COME NEAR TO ASK ABOUT THE MEAL OR IF EVERYTHING OK, needless to say I will not be visiting there again. I understand that Wetherspoons are reducing food prices in MY OPINION GIVING IT AWAY WOULD BE TO EXPENSIVE. I suggest staff TRAINING WOULD NOT GO A MISS. I went in on market day for a coffee & a meal BUT ON THE AVAILABLE TABLES THERE WAS "DIRTY USED PLATES & COFFEE MUGS" that appeared to have been there a long long time, IF THIS IS THE CUSTOMER AREA I HATE TO THINK WHAT THE KITCHEN WOULD BE LIKE.

Went for steak night got there at 5.30pm to find out they have no more steak left... Why advertise a specific night if you can't cater for it. I would have understood if it was 8pm. However staff was very nice and apologetic

My daughters ( of age) were BARRED from wetherspoons today for supposedly drinking and offered to show ID and they hurried them out of the pub. They also took their chips and drinks which they paid for!!! The young ladies working there clearly are on some sort of power trip today!

Take your money for drinks and don’t driver them, then When asked where the drinks are they tell you to F off and get the bounces to kick you out. Staff are a nightmare and hate customers do not go to this establishment

This is a great place for food and drink, the food was lovely, the staff was friendly and the service was great, a lovely pub. I can't visit Bingham and not go in here for lunch.

A busy Spoons on a wet & windy Tuesday November. OK let's admit it we all go to a Spoons for the good value but it was great to experience a real friendly and helpful team.
