Bombay Balti House in Bexley

Had a great curry Saturday night with a friend. The restaurant was extremely busy and one of the chefs called in unwell. Despite some disruptive diners they coped really well and the food was fantastic.

Food, staff, facilities are perfect Local or not, you need to try this place! Absolutely a must go !!

I come here three times a week and is the best Indian restaurant in bexleyheath. Some times I have a takeaway amazing staff I would say’s the best food in bexleyheath also order on just eat food is spot and always on time very friendly staff Try it to believe it 🥳

Went to Bombay balti Sunday evening , booked very late but they were very accommodating , when we arrive the staff were extremely friendly made us feel very welcome , ordered our food was not rushed at all , when food arrived it was hot and well presented , we were looked after throughout our evening , the pricing was very reasonable , thoughrouly enjoyed the evening , will definitely be returning there again . Came here with my parents. We are loyal Bombay balti customers and came here as there is new management and we were so happy with everything. Our food was amazing and will definitely be back again soon! Recommend highly! Motiur was so friendly and welcoming as the new owner!

Me and my friends came here for an impromptu Indian and it was brilliant! I cannot recommend this enough for an evening meal. We will definitely be back here very soon. Big thanks to Motiur for sorting us out. Exciting times ahead for Motiur as he will be taking over the restaurant going forward. Looking forward to the new menu and restaurant layout! You can rely on the Bombay Balti for a decent curry, however its not always consistent as my wife and I always have the same meal whether it be different chefs, levels of spice i don't no, we also learnt last night the owner Mia (probably not how you spell his name) has sold the business after around 26 years, the new owner told us he is getting rid of the staff and hiring new also the place needs updating, the lighting is awful which makes it feel there's no ambience also the toilets need ripping out and modernising. Time will only tell if we return

We have used different Asian restaurants but nothing comes close to the food and service. 👨🏽‍🍳👍👍👍

Not been for a while, but wow have i missed this place. Delicious food, good portion size and taste. Friendly happy service, simply the best.

Possibly the worst curry I’ve ever had. Full of vivid colouring agent and bland taste. Dhall samba was awful. Mushroom rice was greasy. Prawn Purre lacked flavour. Popadoms were OK and beer was good (kingfisher)

Had a take away tonight for my sons birthday as couldn’t visit due to the tier 4 restrictions 😞 fabulous, tasty, reasonably priced food as always and even an ice cream and some chocolates delivered as a birthday treat for my son. We have never had a bad meal from this place and the manager is always so friendly and accommodating. Thanks again Bombay Balti House 👍🏻

Unplanned visit with my wife on a wet and windy Saturday night. We were warmly welcomed and quickly found a table in what looked a fairly full restaurant. We started with our usual benchmark of king prawn puri. The dish struck both of us as a little bland with only the coriander providing any notable flavour. I then moved onto a chicken with minced lamb and omelette. Again the flavour was a little lacking but then I tend to go for something a little more spicy. However on this occasion I was following a recommendation. My wife went for king prawn tandoori and she was of a similar opinion that the dishes were a little bland including the chana massala , brinjal bhaji and Bombay aloo.

Took my mum out for a meal, and the food is immaculate one of the nicest curry restaurants I’ve been to. The food didn’t take long, and the service was brilliant. I would definitely recommend going again.

I went here for a meal with meat eating friends and I asked for a vegetarian chotpoti which was delicious. I would recommend it to meat and veggie friends alike. This is one of the best veggie curries I have had.

Whether dining inside the restaurant or in fact using their takeaway service food is always very good.

Just moved to area so wanted to try new local restaurant.We arrived just after six and there were already four groups in there. Approximately 10-12 tables. By 7:30, it was completely full.We were greeted warmly, and shown to our table. We ordered papadums and they came with lovely selection of pickles.Indian lager and bottle of wine ordered. Nice enough. Lamb madras (informed by son lamb was tough), special rice, king prawn tandoori, mixed starter, and sag paneer.The food was very good, although a couple of things arrived at table just warm.Very reasonable prices.We had an enjoyable two hours, never felt rushed although they were full and will be back.

Good job we booked, it's small and it was full. We've been here many times and it's always good. Four of us ordered a mix of curries and sides and shared them. All the food was very good specially the "chicken chotpoti". We enjoyed the meal, service, atmosphere and even laughed when the waiter poured some of my beer down my shirt. We'll be back soon.

This restaurant smelt so bad we had to move to the yacht next door, at least the didn’t smell. In the restroom, there was a... smelly situation! There was a horrendous blockage as someone did a number 2 in the loo. The resturant reused the straws with the ones next to us. My son witnessed it happen. I do NOT recommend this disgraceful behaviors. The staff were so racist the only good thing about this restaurant was the smell ! Never going back but on the other hand, the yacht was very nice

Quite simply one of the best restaurants in Kent. Food is of top quality, great portions and prices. Staff and service are brilliant.

We eat here about once or twice a month we are always greeted by a friendly hello and shown to our seats by happy attentive waiters.The service is absolutely first class and the standard of food is consistently amazing in fact we wont go to another IndianOther members of my family now go regularly as well, and I was reluctant to write the review in case it became too popular and we couldn't get in when we want, but other people need to know the quality atmosphere and service in my book is amazing.

This is our local Indian. We usually have a takeaway but have eaten in there on a few occasions. It had a great atmosphere small & friendly

Horrible .we normally love it but tonight it was bland and clearly frozen and re heated the rice was in clumps and the chicken was tasteless.We had frozen veg in the curry along with part frozen onion barges

Nice but forgot one dish, sent it straight away with an apology and a free side dish.

Really disappointed. Chicken madras tastes burnt, and has onion and green pepper in which it never has before. Asked for mushroom bhaji to relaxed vegetable curry with bhaji and this wasn't done. Shame as had a meal in the restaurant before Christmas which was absolutely fine, but won't be ordering from there again. Delivery was quick and food was at least hot.

Myself and my family use this restaurant regularly because the food is consistently good. Both kingfisher and cobra draft lagers are a bonus that I've never seen in any Indian restaurant and both provided at pub prices. Good selection on the menu but if something is missing that you want just ask and they will accommodate. Brilliantly managed by a very friendly owner and his team. Good food,good value and good service,well worth going out of your way for.

Food very good but waited over an hour and a half for delivery contacted just eat who were not interested my advice would be order direct from the restaurant

Keema naan very thin on meat. Curry comes with a set pilau rice, should be able to change this, as I don't like pilau. Overall good food though. Can take a while to deliver.

After being shown to our table we noticed the table cloth was dirty.We asked the waiter if he could change it which he did. The new table cloth wasn't any better and as he laid it out a moth flew out of it. We then watched the owner check the old table cloth as if we were being awkward and looked at us in discust. The restaurant was very dimly lit to cover up the fact it needed decorating badly.

We eat here last Friday. They accomplished dated us at the last minute. It was my wife, my 2 children and I. The food is good, quick and tasty. We did have an issue where a waiter spilt some water over my daughter. They quickly replaced the water, apologised and brought us some complimentary pakora. Fair enough.

We are big 'Indian' eaters, & tried every takeaway in Bexleyheath & Welling & keep going back here.! If you like things 'hotter' or 'spicier' just say & they will do it for you. Quality meat used. Small restaurant but nice.

BY FAR the BEST in a very long time.... Delivery was spot on - the meals were out of this world & LOADS of it ... Have FINALLY found the Indian Take-Away on here to use over & over again..... VERY happy customer.

We ate here for the first time on Saturday evening. The decor is typical of traditional curry houses and the staff polite and efficient. They have an interesting menu and the food was very nice. Those who have been eating in curry houses for a few years will remember how everything used to be slightly spicier than they have now become in most of the more modern restaurants. Well here they still use those tasty traditional recipes, so be warned, if you don't like your food very hot you should take this into account when ordering. The prices were a pleasant surprise too.

We are regular here and we go often for dine in. The staffs are so friendly and helpful and we almost know most of the dishes they do bcoz waiters have explained them to us so easily.Foods are always good.Cant think of any other indian curry rather than this.

We walked in to order a curry for takeaway after the nice reviews I walked in there was a dish that I wasn't sure about so I asked the waiter I asked him hw hot was a certain dish he didn't respond all he did was laughed I was abit confused so I asked him again he didnt respondThere was a guy siting there he told me that he doesn't understand and that I should wait for the other waiter which has gone on delivery so I decided to leave I would recommend the management to sort something out..

So we are still searching Bexleyheath for a decent Indian takeaway.... Encouraged by the reviews on here, we opted for an Indian this Saturday night... It was bad. Delivery time was set as 45 mins - fine - the food arrived bang on time, that's as good as it got. Ordered a mix started which was vey bland and very in the small side. Food was cold, and we're only 5 mins from the restaurant. They mucked up our order and sent us two pilau rices instead if one rice and a chicken tikka masala... Okay, it happens. Called the restaurant and no real apology, dropped off a chicken tikka massala 10 mins later which was useless. You would of thought they would have refunded the money, or thrown in a desert for good measure, but nope... Just thrown a bag with a masala that was a dark red and not orangey. It was not very nice. It's safe to say won't be ordering here again or recommend. I also really doubt the authenticity of some of the reviews below.... It was fairly cheap for an Indian. That's what gave it at 2 star as opposed to a 1 star...

The service is especially good here; attentive waiters who provide a quality service. There is a good range on the menu of great dishes and at reasonable prices. Been here many times, and for good reason!

I have been going to the Bombay balti for nearly 20 years, never have we had a bad meal, the staff are so attentive nothing is to much trouble, Rated the best Indian in bexleyheath , try it and I guarantee you will be back for sure, the bhunaIs my favorite or the makani or the prawn puri or the tandoori, TRY IT And you will be hooked

Had read about this restaurant on Trip advisor so thought I would give it ago. My husband and I popped into hear on Sunday evening. Small place but very friendly. I had a prawn puree to start and it was huge it was also lovely. I had a chicken dish for main a dish that I had never tried before it was in a tandoori sweet sauce it was lovely my husband had the Lamb vindaloo and he enjoyed that also. I was not impressed with the aloo gobi a bit watery for my taste.

We ordered a Saturday take away from this restaurant based on my walking past it during the festive break, and it was busy. The reviews on tripadvisor.com were good also.The restaurant took our order and said it would be there in 45 minutes - they turned up bang on time and the delivery driver was as polite as the man that took my order.The food was piping hot, so the Wife was pleased, as this is her biggest issue with take-aways!No real complaints about the food, apart from the old fashioned vivid colouring of the Tikka Masala dish and that these milder dishes were a bit sweeter than usual for our palates.The lamb rogan josh was very good, as was the sag aloo. The other items such as rice, naan, etc. were all good.We'll try here again based on this purchase, especially as my Wife was pleased for a change!

We have eaten in lots of Indian restaurants in and around Bexleyheath and this is our favourite. The food is excellent; tasty without being overly oily like some curries can be. The staff are friendly & efficient and it is also the most reasonably priced curry house we have tried. We don't go anywhere else now & also order takeaways from here. Try it!

Eaten here a number of times over the years. Good service and great food. Plenty of choice for lovers of Indian cuisine. Have used for take away too and the food is pretty consistent.

i have to agree, great food and excellent service, you can ask for the staff for the chef to make it just the right temperature for you in case you dont like it too hot

We always have excellent food at this restaurant. We visit with either family or friends on a fairly regular basis. The only complaint that we sometimes have is that the service may sometimes be slower than we would like.....but we always go back.
