I went here yesterday to chill whilst my partner was out watching the football with his friends. The welcome was amazing, as were the potato braves! We don’t live too far from there and will definitely return for dinner one evening. I can see why it’s a hit with such locals, a beautiful restaurant.

Mixed feelings about this place. We arrived early and our waiters were lovely. However, the restaurant was so so so loud! They had live music and it could have been so gorgeous as background music (flute and guitar so all the makings of something special) but it was so loud (we think amplified by speakers) we literally couldn't hear each other speak. Then the tables either side of ours were joined by large loud parties and as the music was SO loud everyone was shouting louder and louder, competing to be heard. If it had been ambient we would have stayed and had more food as most of what we had was good. We ordered the Spanish pickles. This was the worst thing we had. Just 4 mini gherkins, 4 silver skin onions and some pickled green pepper on 4 cocktails sticks. Not good at all. The pil-pil prawns were nice but the prawns were small and we'd hoped for large generous sized prawns. The skirt steak was really delicious and the star of the show. We both loved it. The chorizo was good - spicy and juicy but we could have done with a wee bit more. It was 1 small finger-sized sausage sliced into 2. We completely understand the portions are supposed to be small as it's tapas but for the price you pay it's expensive. We had one glass of house wine and a pint of Estrella and it was £86. We then went to M&S and bought some snacks and had a picnic back at the hotel as we were still a bit hungry. Could be so much more with some easy tweaks here and there.

Incredible restaurant. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and all the food was delicious. Best steak I’ve ever had and loads of vegetarian options for my girlfriend. I’ll definitely be returning

Fabulous tapas night at this spot. We enjoyed drinks and a variety of menu items. I especially liked the corn empanadas and the pisco sour drinks. Friendly and helpful staff.

Firin is a hidden gem tucked away from the busy streets of King’s Cross. The moment you step inside, you’re transported to a cozy and intimate space, beautifully decorated with traditional Turkish touches that give the restaurant an authentic feel. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it an excellent spot for a relaxed meal away from the city's hustle and bustle. It was a small place, and good thing we booked as there were a number of parties who came, but was turned away as there wasn't any space for them. This was my first time dining at Firin, and while I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, I did have one minor issue. The dish I ordered was much smaller than I had anticipated. I wish I had been informed about the portion size beforehand, as I would have ordered additional sides to complete the meal. That being said, the food itself was delicious—fresh, well-seasoned, and full of rich, traditional flavours. Everyone in my group enjoyed their dishes, and the overall experience was positive. I would certainly return and recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality Turkish dining experience in London. Just be sure to ask about portion sizes if you have a bigger appetite!

Yesterday i went with my colleagues to this restaurant having 4.7 rating but ended up disappointed with the service and portion size of each dish. Before ordering we did check with the waitress if 3 starters for 6 is good enough to share and looking at what we ordered, she did confirm and when it finally arrived it was barely even 2-3 bites. Mains took more than an hour to be served and even that was barely sufficient for any one of us. I guess most of my colleagues ended up having a 2nd dinner post having a meal here.
