Came for breakfast and a coffee. Friendly staff good food at a reasonable price, and all this on the sunnier side of the river. Nice view of Riverside North from either inside or outside, what more could you ask for?

Nice spot on river but just average. we tried to go again but closed. It ok for a quick coffee if your that side of the river and it's open.

I went with a friend for lunch and was pleased to be able to sit on a comfortable chair, outside, with a view of the river. I had a steak baguette, and my friend a smocked salmon and cream cheese sandwich, both served with a generous salad. My steak was rare as requested and served with mushrooms and onions, and was delicious. I finished off with the best chocolate brownie I have ever had, served with a generous dollop of clotted cream. The service was efficient, speedy and friendly, the place clean and comfortable. I recommend, and with be going back.

We came here for a meal to celebrate a family birthday. There was something on the menu to please everyone, including our fussy six year old. Portion sizes were spot on and everything was cooked to perfection. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, even when busy; getting the balance between making sure we were attended to and leaving us to enjoy our meal just right. We would definitely recommend and will be coming back again to try more from the menu!

Our second visit. They have a small dog-friendly section, we had our dog with us. We were celebrating a family birthday. The reasonably priced roast dinner buffet is excellent, favourites at our table were the gammon and venison. There is a host of delicious vegetable side dishes. The price included a dessert which the menu tells us was taken at the table. There is an option to purchase a kids roast dinner which we recommend for children, we had two teens. However, we waited a considerable amount of time, well over a half hour for this. When we found someone to enquire the young lady (we had enquired twice) assured us that it would be sorted. All the desserts were good, my only comment was that the Eton Mess was considerably lacking in meringues a very tiny amount, I asked if there was additional meringue that could be added but the young lady insisted that I already had some. All things considered well worth it, we drive neatly 40 min to enjoy it - local parks and dog walks make it a lovely afternoon out.

Love this chippy. Massive portion of chips and the fish was fried fresh. Cash only (no cards), but you won't get a bigger meal around for the price.

We have previously had excellent service whenever we visited. The staff are truly exceptional. We shall not return however, today whilst eating the normally delicious food, my 9 year old girl found a dead maggot in it. I am sure it was an oversight and not indicative of there usual high standards of hygiene. Unfortunately, despite being regular visitors we will not return.
