Blugate Restaurant in Haringey

Pedí dos hamburguesas de autor y una sigara boregi. Las hamburguesas eran horribles y no como se describe en el menú, la lechuga se mezcló con pepino y la salsa de queso especial era de hecho rodajas de queso falso. Tuvimos que quejarnos dos veces y solicitar hablar con un gerente. El camarero habló con el chef y nos informó que el chef hizo las hamburguesas como es normal. Sin embargo, después de hablar con otro miembro del personal, el chef y el gerente no estaban en el lugar. Originalmente habíamos querido pedir el cordero sarma beyti y ahora entender por qué no estaba disponible ya que no había chef. Cuando nos fuimos, vimos a todos los miembros del personal, excepto al chef apresurándose a completar los pedidos. Esto es inaceptable y antes de sentarnos deberían habernos informado que el chef no estaba allí y no podían recibir órdenes. Pagamos por las patatas fritas y sigara boregi, pero en base al servicio y la comida, deberían haber al menos disculparse y no aceptar nuestro dinero. NO recomiendo comer aquí.

Food was okay. Not informed that there was no oven and therefore no pide, despite my partner visiting earlier to enquire about the menu. Ordered couscous and got mixed rice and couscous which the waiter later admitted he realised but did nothing about. Feedback given to the waiter who didn’t take it too well and took a lemonade off the bill by way of apology. On leaving, there was a group of about six staff sitting at the exit (as there was nobody else in the restaurant) and nobody said thank you or goodbye. Quite rude.

Nice decor but this doesn't make up for the awful service. Look at the reviews and it's a running theme. We were asked to move table twice. Food came out cold. Lots of items unavailable on the menu, draft beer permanently unavailable. Staff made rude comments about the local area and people. Realistically if your from around here you know we have some of the best Turkish food around in wood green and Edmonton - capital, kervan, gokyuzu, pinar, sultans - this place is miles off and more expensive with small portion sizes.

Be warned this Turkish restaurant gets very busy when nearby Tottenham Hotspur are playing at home. Because of this fact I arrived early at 5:30pm and got the last table for two. The service can be a bit erratic, especially so on match days, but the food when it arrives is very good. I had a very tasty Adana Kebab, which I swamped with chilli sauce and my friend had the Lamb Beyti which looked very similar to my dish. Main dishes are served with rice, or couscous salad. I washed my Adana down with a chilled bottle of Efes lager.

I've bern here a few times, athletically it's lovely, the staff are friendly and food is generally good. The staff make sure you're comfortable whilst you wait, a nice addition to the area.

Ruined the decent foo Trouble is that their kebabs are ok, although it is a very expensive kebab-house. So it it is a bit hard to write how terrible their service is. I have been there several times amd it just gets worse and worse . We go before the Spurs match kicks off. Warm pita, grainy but acceptable hummus, a salad they give you which is just about ok. The lamb and chicken tikkas...if they ever arrive, are moist and tasty along with really small portions of rice or cous cous. Last night was a total joke. The problem is they have more pretty girls running around with bleach spray and teatowels than they do waiters. Summoning one takes a lifetime. We asked that each couple ordered on separate bills. All done on a tapscreen thingy they carry. Asked for two lots of bread, two lots of hummus and three fantas and two glasses of red wine, two chicken shish, a burger and a lamb shish. What followed was pathetic. Two fantas turn up, one bread, one freeby salad, one hummus. We called waiter after waiter, bleachygirl after bleachygirl. Nothing else came. No wine no more bread, no more hummus, no more salad. Now we are getting annoyed. Call a different waiter. Nada. Call the boss. He points and points and now bread arrives. No salad. No second hummus. No wine. Call again. Blah blah. Wine comes and some nonsense that waiter did not in fact separate the bills so its only one salad one bread per bill. just pathetic Our lamb kebab and burger arrived 50 minutes after ordering them. They are churned our very speedily at the open grill so its not like it takes ages to cook. They are simply a shambles. Worst of all, we asked for the chicken shish no less than 8 times. It arrived 80 mins after ordering with a lame excuse that they were given to the wrong table. So! Get another one. They take 5 mins to knock uo. Total joke. We were there 105 minutes, with a reservation, for what should be A,40 min sitting. They have no idea what they are doing because..they are understaffed, they do not allocate a waiter to a set of tables, random people bring random itens randomly with zero quantity cintrol, without paying attention , and they have too few people on the floor to work this nonsensical shambolic distribution system. We all ate ate separate times, items came at random times and no matter how the kebabs tasted, the meal was a disaster never to be repeated. Lifes too short. A complete mess of a restaurant, despite the nice layout. They need a complete rethink. Abysmal and gets worse each visit pre- match. Dont bother. Loads of cheaper quicker served kebab places all along the high road. Pff!!  

At 830pm order food at 930 food came however not what we ordered 20mins later we ask where our food is the same plate comes back. Shocked and disappointed explained this was not what we ordered. 25min mins later we call someone over to ask about our food they eventually bring the SAME plate of food.

Lovely staff and very attentive. Had a lovely chicken kebab. Very nice. Only opened up 2 months ago but so busy and very clean.

Went with a group of friends, its a large restaurant so expected them to be able to cater for our needs. But we were told they had run out of ….get this...fish...rice...soup. I mean Seriously. Go to the local supermarket and restock. The waiters were great, I don't blame them. but the managers have to be more organized. For a restaurant to survive they have to think of how to keep their customers happy, we weren't even offered salad or olives while we waited for the hour to get our food, Very poor show!

Stumbled across this place after a visit to the Spurs Stadium. Wow. Food is divine & the staff are lovely and friendly. The meat on the kebabs was simply mouth watering, coupled with the bread & dips server complimentary, just so so good!!!!

Blugate exceeded my expectations in every way. The menu was varied, the food was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic, and the service was exceptional. The ambiance was elegant and sophisticated, yet cozy and inviting. I highly recommend Blugate to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience.

Blugate Restaurant on Tottenham High Road is a newly open restaurant. A short walk from White Hart Lane. The Restaurant offer takeaways but haven't yet incorporated a takeaway counter. The menu excludes wraps but they are happy to accommodate your needs. I had a Falafel wrap for £5.90, and it was very enjoyable. I found the staff very friendly.
