Utterly goated experience - shame I can’t give 10* bosh

I had a very good lunch here, and it is consistently good value. tasty and with very nice and professional staff. The lunch menu is varied with enough choices to cover most tastes and the prices are really reasonable considering where its located. I really love this simple and unassuming place!

Lovely turkish restaurant with an interesting range of food

We had a great lunch here today. The menu options at lunchtime were huge … breakfast, brunch & “set lunch”. We opted for the latter which at £16.95 for 2 courses was really good value for money. I had the Trojan Horse chicken as a main & it was absolutely delicious as was my lentil soup starter. My friend had chicken shish (they call it cubes) and the feta & spinach parcels. He loved them too. Service was flawless & the team were really friendly. We will definitely go back!

the food is delicious, worth the money, but that woman Romanian or whoever she is is rude and unpleasant as a person, she is doing you a favor, or she does not understand English at all, in any case I know there is a man and a woman there, they seem to be the owners, they provide excellent service, she is terrible, I stopped going there because of her

This is a long overdue review but we had to say a VERY big THANK YOU to the team especially Amy who was on top form on the day ensuring our 50 guests enjoyed themselves and our wedding dinner plans ran on schedule. It’s been two months since our wedding back in August and our guest talk about how lovely the food and atmosphere was at Cilicia. It was their first wedding event but they were absolutely pros. We enjoyed every moment and forever have fond memories about our day. If you ever have a small event and you want your guests to have lovely food and a lovely atmosphere with such amazing friendly people from the chef to everyone who is in that team. I highly recommend you try them. They were very flexible and accommodating as well to all the dietary requirements of our guests. Thank you Amy and everyone who made our day special.

I've been to Cilicia for the last 10+ years and have never had a disappointing visit. The service is welcoming and friendly and the food is delicious. I last had the calamari which was crispy and fresh and the garlic prawns which were seasoned just right. The lamb cutlets for main course were divine, they were cooked to perfection! Highly recommended and can't wait for my next visit!

The food is always perfect, the staff are friendly. It is a comfortable place to visit with a good atmosphere and tasty, healthy food.

Really good Mediterranean restaurant in the busy Muswell Hill area. Authentic food and fresh. Had the Cilician Skewer which was nice and tender and well cooked. My friend had the Kleftico which was spiced to perfection and not dry. Baklava was nice and sweet which hit the spot. Was nice to have homemade desserts as most of the restaurants use pre-bought from wholesalers these days.

We are a sports team and attended Cilicia for lunch prior to a game we played in Alexandra Palace. Amy helped us before we arrived by taking a preorder for 36 guests and making sure everything was covered. They made sure our team could sit together to eat. The food and service was amazing and we would recommend Cilicia to anyone whether a couple, group of friends or large group looking for somewhere to eat in this area!

Friday early evening and not too busy. We were fortunate enough to still be able to order from their set menu, really good offer. We opted for two starters, thr felafel, and spiced salami. For the we ordered one of the Trojan chicken as well as the Trojan lamb. This was a delicious dish with lamb cubes, herbs with diced shallots, wrapped and grilled in an aubergine slices, served with on a bed of aubergine and tomao sauce, served with rice. Staff was friendly and polite and accommodating towards our dietary requirements. Clean toilets, step free access too. Would definitely recommend and return.

Had a really really lovely dinner here at the weekend! Sea bass cooked beautifully, service was great and a special shout out to Julia who was amazing with some special requests :) and her eye for detail. Didn’t get the name of the other lovely lady unfortunately, she was just as helpful, and they both accommodated a lot for me too! would 110% definitely recommend - got busy towards the evening too which added to the peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. Thank you so much again, we will be returning! :)

Amazing food and really welcoming!

We enjoyed an excellent experience from the moment we were welcomed into the restaurant to the moment we left. The staff and owner are very friendly and proud of their establishment. The food was delicious, some of the best I've tasted and the price was very reasonable. Would recommend trying their hot meze platter.

It doesn't matter what time of day you come here you will always find the most friendly welcome and a menu to suit all tastes . From the tastiest breakfast to their amazing seafood menu it truly is a fantastic experience. Great wine and cocktails just add to a wonderful experience. It's a place I always take visiting friends to and they are always eager to go back . Great for families, a cosy dinner for 2, or simply a coffee in the sun!

I have been coming to tthis lovely restaurant with my family since it opened.By far the most intimate and atmospheric restaurant in Muswell Hill service is great,food top quality.Last night i had sea bass..fantastic.Oh.....and the staff can't do enough for you!!!

The food is delicious and very good service. Dined there 3 times during our holiday, and if/when we come back on holiday in London we will definitely visit Cilicia to get another wonderfull meal.

We have been coming to Cilicia for years. The warm and friendly welcome is always the same and the food is great. The lamb cubes are a call out. Highly recommend.

A delightful restaurant with excellent food, brilliant service, and a thoroughly chilled and warm atmosphere - well worth more than just one visit! One piece of advice, make sure you don't eat for a long time before going; the portions are generous!

Decent cafe, high prices but area and service is understandable. Did not like how dogs were allowed, kept on barking. Great coffee though.

My mum visited this restaurant recently, the tomato ketchup was orange and clearly out of date. Once opened, it exploded all of her clothes, table and food etc. When she left she had to buy a new top it was that bad. The waitress apologised but didn't know what to do. No resolution was offered or responsibility taken. Food was average, won't be returning customers.

Lovely house red. Very drinkable with very helpful staff. Updating to say that, while I’ll probably come back for a glass of house red, I’ll not be back for lunch or dinner for the foreseeable. Too few options with their getting rid of all the sandwiches and the prices have just gone that bit too steep for what’s left. Still recommend the place and staff are still wonderful, but thought I should say it rather than just whine about it to my mates. Sorry to update again. But want to reply back to their lovely reply as it’s an example of how fantastic a place it is. Don’t have the resources to eat dinner there too often but, even with what I’ve said above, so please go and eat there if you like wraps and the dinners they have. From what I’ve seen it’s well worth it. Only reason I can’t eat there too often is due to what I said above what with it our former go to lunch space. Updating again as realised that I just haven’t been there since the change and since being charged excessively for one item. Tipping should be optional and not for drinks as a one off. Far too common with too many places.

One of my favourite Mediterranean restaurants in London. Welcoming owner and friendly staff. Food is out of this world. Home made bread, fantastic chilli sauce, Love the Kofte and Falafel starters. Food in general very good.

Cilicia is a relatively local restaurant and we've visited many times with friends. The food has never disappointed and I'm happy to say that this was the case with our latest visit. A good way to start any meal here is with a meze platter and we certainly enjoyed our spread of houmous, warm bread, olives and other delicacies. For the main course most people went with skewers but I felt like trying the seafood platter which included tuna, crab claws, king prawns and swordfish. At first sight I thought that the spread was a little light but actually the serving was spot on as I only just consumed everything. In terms of service and atmosphere Cilicia always scores well as the staff are attentive despite the restaurant usually being busy and buzzy. For a good evening out with friends I'm happy to recommend Cilicia to anyone in the area.

Was about to go in today for a glass of wine and then remembered they’ve started adding a tip to everything. Not a fan of mandatory tipping in general but to ask for a tip for a glass of wine is definitely something that shouldn’t be a thing.

We had the cold Meze and shared it. Great authentic Mediterranean salads with warm pita bread. The quantity was more than we could finish. Service was friendly and prompt. We’ll return to sample the Hot Meze and other dishes.

As always, a perfect spot for a get together with friends. There's a warm welcome and delicious food, we come here quite often

We had the best evening with the kids. Food was delicious, staff were warm and friendly and the cocktails were brilliant as well (don’t worry, the kids had smoothies). Will be back soon for sure

During my visit, I tried the Turkish menemen, which was perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients and authentic flavours. The cosy ambience and friendly staff added to the enjoyable atmosphere. The portion size was generous, and the dish was beautifully presented. Overall, I highly recommend Cilicia Cafe for its delicious Mediterranean cuisine.

The prawns were perfectly cooked and flavoured with garlic and spices, making them juicy and tender. The chicken dish was also flavorful with a delicious marinadethat gave it a slightly sweet and tangy taste. The chicken was cooked just right, moist and tender, with a crispy exterior. Both dishes were served with a side of freshly made rice and vegetables, which perfectly complemented the main dishes. Overall, of Mediterranean herbs and spices. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the vegetables on the side were a great complement to the dish. Overall, we both had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant and would highly recommend it to others. The food was top notch, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We can't wait to return and try more of the menu options!

One of our favourite restaurants at Muswell Hill. Lovely staffs and foods are served fairly quickly.

We ve paid £37.40 for two English breakfast and 2 hot drinks. Overall very stingy plate (one egg, little beans etc) . Wouldn’t go there again.

We enjoyed the birthday celebration we held here in December so much that we returned for another family member's birthday. It was just as good. The ingredients of the hot and cold mezes are clearly very good quality and so fresh tasting and the main courses were again delicious and filling. A fantastic family run neighbourhood restaurant that has so much more character and warmth and offers much better value than all of the faddy chain restaurants in the vicinity.

Great local restaurant, good food, friendly service, reasonable prices.

We loved the decor and Amy our waitress was so lovely and helpful. I had mixed Mezza every dish was perfect. The Calamari was soft and tasty, hummus was smooth and delicious. Saved a bit of room for Tiramisu which was homemade and the best I’ve had in years! If we lived near here, we would definitely be regulars.

We visited Celicia for our daughter’s birthday, having not been for a few years. We have been missing out as we all enjoyed generous portions of delicious food for a very reasonable price. The decor is very relaxing and the service was extremely friendly and efficient. We won’t leave so long until our next visit!

I'm editing this review based on the last two visits. The website is misleading as it states the brunch menu ends at 5pm, but after we arrived at 4pm we were told this is not correct and given the much more expensive a la carte menu. It's a shame because in our opinion the brunch menu is far superior and also MUCH better value for money.

Ordered a take away and went to collect but order not ready. Not impressed. Gave them an hour to prepare . Their excuse was that the order was big ( £75 ) and they couldn’t contact me . I was in Church 😇. Message to the management Take Online Payments rather than mess people around . ( I wanted to pay online but no option ) Why Not ???

We went there for New Year's Ave dinner! If you want to spent a nice evening in cozy place, with high quality of service and food. This is the place where you have to go! Really welcoming and attentive waitresses. We will be back!

Friendly, efficient service. All meals cooked to great standard - meats all tender & delicious. Kleftico was fantastic - fell off the bone as it should but not overly soft. Warm Meze devoured by family in moments!

Unreal food. Quality is fantastic, service is lovely and friendly but not over the top. Seafood is to die for. Good selection of cocktails and wine. Could maybe do with one more choice for none alcoholic options but that is REALLY nit picking!!! Lovely evening had by all three of us and we're sad we dont live closer to come back Absolutely worth a visit 🩷

Excellent local family run Turkish/Cilicia restaurant At lunchtime they serve the best omelettes around and from the dinner menu the kofte and fried chicken livers are my personal favourites. Very warm, friendly, welcoming staff. UPDATE 21/02/22: Still serving the best omelettes in Muswell Hill. Congratulations to the entire team at Cilicia 🏆

A family night out with a meal at Cicilia prior to an event at Ally Pally. Absolutely first class all round, everyone thoroughly enjoyed both courses, service was attentive bur not intrusive, and the lighting & ambience supported a wonderful first time experience. Will allow time to sample the dessert menu on our next visit. Thoroughly recommended.

This place is amazing. Warm and cozy inside with very friendly staff. Most importantly, they serve tasty home made food at incredible prices, considering its location in the heart of Muswell Hill. The chicken wrap with salad and fries is a favourite. Do ask for the chef made fresh chilli sauce.. you won’t be disappointed.

This is a very good Turkish restaurant in the neighbourhood. We go there almost every week. The food is really delicious and service is also very good. If you are around you should definitely go there..

Such a warm welcome at this restaurant and a lovely smiley server all evening. The food was really good - a broad bean and yogurt starter with warm bread - it was superb. Then peppered tuna steak with salad and a side of chips, and whole grilled seabass with salad and potatoes - beautifully cooked and presented - so tasty. There is also wine by the carafe, so we had a red and a white. It was a lovely friendly venue - highly recommended!

Came here on Thursday evening, 8th of June, ordered the tuna steak, and it came tough and dry. I sent it back and the dark-haired waitress came back with it and poked it around and said it was fine, I kindly said "sorry I just don't like it, I find it tough" and she said there was nothing wrong and kept insisting to the point where she was almost shouting at me, I even apologized several times, and didn't get a single apology back from her. I even had to get a Google images up of a tuna steak to show her how it should look. Anyway, definitely wont be coming back here again ever, terrible experience. On the flip side, the blonde-haired waitress was very kind and I could tell she wanted to make sure we were having a good meal by checking to see if everything was fine and if the food was good the second time round.

Had a delightful lunch today with my sister. The menu was exciting with plenty of Mediterranean delights to choose from - it took us some time to decide and even then we had to taste eachother s plate. Absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and well balanced flavours. We were very well looked after by the ladies waitressing too. Thank you so much, we will return to sample more from the extensive menu.

No allergens menu but the staff were knowledgeable and listened to my requirements, so it felt like a safe place for a coeliac to eat and I was not ill after. The food was tasty and the cocktails amazing , friendly staff and nice relaxed atmosphere, well worth the trip and a lovely place to chill with friends

For diner i had cold mezze aubergine caviar, absolutely lovely with yoghurt and hot mezze lamb liver beautifuly seasoned and i chose Australian red chiraz wine, large glass, gorgeous all together

We had a really lovely meal at Cilicia last night. It was our first time dining there and decided to give it a try having read good reviews. The food, wine, and service were really very good. It's obvious that the restaurant has a number of regular customers, and we could quite see why. I was there with my husband (whose birthday we were celebrating) and son, and we all agreed that everything we chose was delicious. In fact, just thinking about my kleftico is making me smile as I type!

What an amazing restaurant, the food is excellent, freshly cooked and delicious. It is also really good value for money. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely my favourite restaurant of all time.

I really love the excellent food and great service at Cilicia. Jimmy, the owner is so friendly and makes everyone welcome. All the dishes are really tasty and freshly prepared. It is a little bit of Heaven in Muswell Hill

The smoothies, halloumi wrap, and eggs were delicious. The service was around five minutes and the chips were mouth-watering. I recommend this cafe.

Tried this local cafe for the first time today and very impressed. I had the Cilician Breakfast and it was delicious! As was the freshly squeezed orange juice. Very nicely presented and good prices. Great service. Happy to recommend.

Absolute GEM in Muswell Hill. Excellent food, beautifully quaint atmosphere and terrific service. The food here is divine and great value. It was around £70 altogether for three people; great value. One can tell it is authentic cuisine. I will be coming back and I highly recommend this restaurant.
