My wife and I went for dinner. Good service, food was nice, not amazing but nice. Overall a positive experience. Ideal if you are staying in the park hotel

Lovely hotel, great staff, rooms clean and well appointed. Large king sized beds. The choice of food in the blues restaurant would suit most tastes. This hotel is ideally situated for a visit to Dumfries house.

Wasn't a pleasant experience food wasn't good. Complained chef sends young girl out to say sorry not even a mention. Of replacement meal or discount not like it was cheap

Visited for a family meal on a weekend lunchtime. Lovely decor and setting, very clean and smells nice. A nicely sized and varied menu was offered. We had staters of chicken liver pate and of goats cheese. All were very good and the late came with a very fresh and plentiful salad. The chilli gel with the cheese was very nice. Seafood gratin, bacon wrapped cod and charred chicken was ordered for main courses. All were an excellent portion size and delicious. The cabbage and bacon mix with the chicken was very good. The bacon wrapped around the cod needed more grilling but the fish was good and came with many pieces and good black pudding. The kids fish and chips was a good piece of cod but came with a large amount of fat chips, skinny fries would better suit most children. Several desserts were ordered and all were enjoyed. The restaurant serves Star, Madri and Carling on tap. Whilst good, at times the service seemed distant and we had to summon waiters on a few occasions. Blues would definitely benefit from a front of house maitre d or similar. The bill was reasonable for the food and drinks ordered. Will definitely return.

This place is within The Park Hotel. I have been here before. It’s always busy. And this time was no exception. With some difficulty, they found me a table for one. Food was delicious. Service was faultless. And the bill was amazingly low, coming at under £40 for three superb courses. Amazing good value. Amazing. Nothing more needs to be said.

The restaurant looks quite trendy and the atmosphere was good. However sadly that’s where the positives end. The staff were rude and disinterested, the service was poor (yes, it was busy, but that doesn’t explain how slow staff were to respond), the food was bland and overpriced. Won’t be back.

Another fantastic pre Xmas night at Blues Restaurant. Absolutely love it! This is our third year in a row for our festive meal. Great food, attentive service and lovely atmosphere. I had a specific request this year as my elderly mum had had a bad year, healthwise, her appetite wasn't great and she was a wee bit anxious about venturing out. After speaking to Laura, the manager, all was well. Mum's meal was perfectly sized, sensitively dished up (so she wasn't embarrassed) and she scoffed the lot! Perfect example of a manager listening and happy to oblige. This made for a perfect evening. Well done 👏

Went for lunch with family and was delighted to be able to order gluten free and diary (cows milk) free versions of food. All you have to do is ask. Very quick but sensitive service from charming staff. Our starters were substantial but we still managed to scoff all of our main courses. Cajun chicken in a sublime sauce, cod wrapped in pancetta - what more could you ask for. Alcohol free cocktails were delicious, especially the Designated Driver cocktail.

What can I say , what an amaZing meal firstly let me praise Laura and Kyle our two servers for the evening , polite ,attentive and nothing is too much bother gold star to them both , the starter we both had was a strange one but I would recommend don't deny it until you try it ! peach compote , melon with sorbet ours was blood orange 🍊. Wow wow wow , the plate was stunning it tasted even better, fresh and palate cleansing it's doesn't need the flaked almonds , my main course was the grilled chicken with chestnut mushrooms,sunblush tomatoes , green beans ,tenderstem broccoli and mash with jus , the portion is big the jus slightly strong for me but not offensive , my friend Dot had the salmon , beautiful salmon that was cooked to perfection it came with pesto ,greens ,mash and cherry tomatoes, this was eaten with much gusto, the venue is busy but yet maintains a level intimate dining . I myself couldn't eat anymore but Dot had dessert , she opted for the speculoos cheesecake ..it didn't disappoint, light and fluffy with a delicious biscuit base and was accompanied with speculoos ice cream , whipped cream, blackberries,white chocolate fan , wafers sprinkled with dehydrated raspberries and some chocolate sauce. I had iced water Dot had soda water blackcurrant. I won this meal in a raffle and boy it is the best prize so far

Food - good - although the portion looked a tad small it was surprisingly filling and tasted lovely. No complaints there. Service - a bit on the slow side, how long does it take to get drinks or your order taken….the answer to both is 15/20 mins. Yes it was busy but there seemed to be a lack of urgency….there’s a fine line between being rushed and things taking too long in a restaurant….this was on the too long side of the scale. Value for money - slightly expensive (where isn’t ?) but probably worth it as the food was lovely. Noise levels/ambiance - a busy Friday night, that was reflected in the level of noise which was pretty high. Could do with some noise dampers of some description…if you’re hard of hearing it would be difficult. Clean and tidy though, no problems there

We recently got married in Kilmarnock registry office (just 4 of us) and the next day arranged a secret wedding reception at the park hotel. The small number of guests invited thought they were coming to a 60th birthday party. I cannot thank the team here enough. From Melissa who helped us arrange it, the dining room staff who kept hush all through a late lunch for family, to the young staff who welcomed guests at the door with a drink and tried hard to keep a straight face when people realised what was going on! It didn’t matter at all we were only a small wedding and we felt very well taken care of.

Had a wonderful meal with my friend this evening. The food was first class and great portions, especially given it was the Christmas set menu. Personally thought it was very reasonably priced also. The service from Kiera was excellent also, I always feel good service is important, very attentive and not rushed. Will definitely return.

First class service from begining to end, lovely meals if a bit pricey for my pocket good touch to offer a carry out ox for my wife who was unable to finish her meal.

We were a party of 7 adults 2 children and a baby. The food was great. Fantastic selection. The kids were taken care of as well with their colouring sheet and menu. All the staff were excellent. We were served by Jake who went above and beyond. Nothing was too much for him. He was great with the kids. One of the best wait staff I have ever had. He was amazing. A great night was had and we will definitely be back. This could be our new go to restaurant.

Was at Blues yesterday to celebrate our anniversary. We both had chicken with haggis bon bons followed by sticky toffee pudding. The food was absolutely amazing as always. Thank you to Courtney and Julie for looking after us. They were absolutely wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. These two girls are a terrific asset to the Blues Team.

Decided to pop up the road for a wee walk , dinner and a few drinks. Didn't have a booking on a Saturday late afternoon and this was not a problem. The server explained that we could eat but they had books at 1730 so would need to table back. This was a good 2hrs away so plenty of time for us to have our meal. To start the haggis bon bons were lovely and also the path was good and plenty of it. Mains we both had the Cajun chicken breast and a side portion of skinny fries. Tasted lovely and cooked very well although we both couldn't finish it and asked for a doggy bag which was good cause we didn't want it going to waste. Had a few drinks with dinner and given the price of everything is up now I feel the bill was reasonable. Would defo return. Staff were great and as 1730 approached we paid and the server was very nice and not pressuring us to give the table back for the booked guests arrival. Thank you for a lovely meal

My husband and I booked dinner at Blues in the middle of November (to celebrate both of our birthdays). We visit the coffee shop often and haven’t actually had dinner at Blues since the location of the restaurant moved to the ground floor. We think it was a good move to relocate the restaurant. It feels more intimate and cosier. The food was fantastic, it really was. Starter, main and dessert did not disappoint. When we asked to delay the main for a wee quarter of an hour, it was no trouble. The staff were engaging and pleasant. The only reason I have given 4 stars rather than 5 is that, for us, the wine list is poor. Increase the choice of quality wines and, for me, the restaurant is easily the best in Kilmarnock. My lovely mum, my friend and I are booked on the Sunday b4 Xmas for a festive supper. Thoroughly looking forward to it…

Booked a table for lunch at 12.30pm on my wife's birthday. Arrived in time to be seated at 12.30pm and ordered drinks when we received the menus and were informed of the specials shortly afterwards. When the drinks arrived (I guess about 12.40, but I wasn't clockwatching at that point, we were asked if we would like to order, to which I replied Yes. We chatted and waited. And waited ... At 1pm I had to leave the table and approach the bar area and ask if we could please order. The reply was curt, rude and affirmative. Finally, some one arrived to take our order. I ordered the lamb rump only to be told that it wasn't available as every restaurant in Scotland was struggling to get lamb. Unfortunately the lamb rump is the first thing on the Mains list and I hadn't looked at the rest of the menu, as we hadn't been told 30+ minutes earlier when given the menus that it wasn't available. So there was a further delay in our order as I had to choose, silently fuming. We finally ordered and our food finally arrived at 13.40pm. The food was fine, but lunch was already ruined for me as I dislike sloppy service (who doesn't) and I particularly dislike being lied to (again, who doesn't). It may be true that their supplier had let them down with their lamb delivery, but the whole of Scotland? Please, your customers are not idiots, don't treat them like they are.

It's been a wee while since I visited but the food is still good and the service still friendly. The menu is really nice, food is good, service is friendly and although it was quite busy we didn't have to wait for long before it arrived. The baked Oreo cheesecake was the best cheesecake I've ever tasted in my life, as was the ice cream it came with. It was so good! Vhari who served us was really friendly.

We both ordered the lamb rump which was advertised as coming with crushed potatoes and greens. The lamb rump was perfectly cooked, as were the potatoes. BUT the potatoes were skin on roasted, not crushed, and the greens were green beans and tender stem broccoli...

Walked in on a very damp day after being at the Killie Shop...the Christmas menu was fantastic! I had the prawns and salmon to start with roast beef for mains and it was soooo tasty! Will definitely be back!!!

It’s the tremendous value for money and high quality of food that has earned the four for me. The newly decorated Blues restaurant is beautiful and on point. Very ambient although a bit tight. Wasn’t busy on visit and there was a very large funeral wake on around the same time we were celebrating my grans 90th birthday so we were glad we were not in any hurry. The staff although polite and friendly enough didn’t seem to be enjoying their work. I felt they could perhaps have been a little more aware and attentive. Overall very good and highly recommended. My gran always speaks highly of the place and staff and said they were different from regular staff. She’s usually there on a Friday afternoon for a tea soup and strawberry tart. Highly recommend Blues on the food alone but the overall service was good and it was a nice relaxing lunch.

Recently reopened after extensive refurbishment. Perhaps they should have waited until the work was finished. Lunch was accompanied by banging, drilling and hammering and the ceiling consisted of a plastic sheet. Lights went off at least twice. Food not up to the usual standard and service was very slow. Had to feel sorry for the staff working in such difficult conditions.

Well refurbished restaurant,downstairs now. And once again a lovely lunch. Friendly,attentive staff. Will definitely be back.

Visited here from abroad the food quality and location were very good however the service was much to be desired and was extremely slow we waited longer for the bill than it took to eat the entire meal.

I recently attended the Park Hotel for their family menu on a Sunday. It was my first meal at the park hotel in years so wasn’t sure what to expect. We were welcomed and shown to our seats. My daughter loved the magician. Food was lovely. Big portions and was tasty. The kids also received a free ice cream sundae and this was amazing as the children were able to pick from lots of fresh fruit and sweeties. So for 2 beers, 2 adult courses each and the kids meals £30. We definitely will be back.

A well publicised event with a great turnout. The Spanish themed courses were complimented beautifully by the wines. The staff were highly efficient and attentive. The evening was very enjoyable overall.

A family get together the afternoon tea was relaxed and with generous portions. Felt we were allowed time to enjoy ourselves without feeling we had to finish and get out. Very quiet and no football on at Rugby Park that day - not too sure I would want to be there on match day.

We go to the Blues Restaurant as often as possible as the food is brilliant - the variety is excellent, it is very reasonable and it is a lovely meal every time we go. We had the great pleasure of attending the pop up food and wine night last night and it was absolutely amazing. The service was 5 star, the food was outstanding, probably the best meal we have ever had and the wine and accompanying explanations of the wine were great - Liam was very knowledgable and it was so interesting to hear all about where the wines were from. Every single course was incredible, the portions were perfect and the flavours and presentation were like something you would expect to find in a gourmet restaurant in London - where you would be paying a great deal more. All the staff at the night were brilliant, they done a fantastic job and we can’t wait for the next night. If you are thinking about going along to the next pop up night or going to the restaurant please do, you will not be disappointed!

Had lunch in blues restaurant today. We had lemon and chilli chicken. This dish was so bland. We mentioned to serving staff that there was no chilli and only a hint of lemon. Her reply was that she would tell the chef and that would give him something else to shout about. Disgraceful. This is a 4 star hotel. No wonder the restaurant is so quiet

Met up with family to catch up over lunch. Interesting menu - sesamee crusted sea bass with Asian salad very tasty, as was goat's cheese mousse. Attentive service from Dean. Bonus was the electric car charger which was huge plus.

Visited here with a couple of friends that were staying with us. The food was very good but the staff seemed a bit over stretched which made the service rather slow.

The Park Hotel was our base for a 2.5 day trip c/o Newmarket Holidays to attend the Edinburgh Hotel. The hotel was 5 star, the staff marvelous and sssooooo friendly. The breakfast was 1st class and nothing, lierally nothing was too much trouble.

My mum and I had an excellent meal at the Blues restaurant & bistro in Kilmarnock! I would absolutely recommend dining there. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious and great value for money. I would definitely dine there again!

Stayed in the hotel for a weekend and ate breakfast and dinner here. Food was fantastic and good value for money compared to where we live. Couldnt really say it has a great view unless you are an ardent Kille fan as it overlooks the stadium and car park. But as I said I would heartly recommend the food.

We have always come to the park hotel for dinner. The chefs that they have are fabulous , we always enjoy our visit and the bar and waiting staff are all excellent. Although I do have one complaint not sure if she’s a manager or not she certainly didn’t have the customer service to be a manager ... was a woman Blonde hair in a black pencil skirt , I think my husband asked her name to which she replied Julie and walked off ! So so rude to myself and my husband. It’s actually put us off going back if she was on shift. She certainly needs a course in customer service and the way she spoke to staff when we were in was terrible !! Certainly no *manager*

Booked a room for 30 for meal. Slow to gone round and ask for drinks. Waiter spilled pint of lager down guests back. Did help clear up and offer to dry top but not a good start to night. Drinks missed from order but on bill. Closed upstairs at 10.30 so had to move downstairs. Overall a great night with great company. Staff friendly but could have been better organised. Wouldn’t stop me going back.

Had breakfast here on a Sunday morning. Friendly helpful staff, continental selection available in self-service section with watermelon, pineapple, other fresh fruit, yoghurts, ham and cheese; followed by a freshly cooked and delicious full Scottish breakfast of 2 rashers of bacon, poached / fried / or scrambled eggs, 2 pork sausages, an extra good black pudding, mushrooms and tomatoes. Devoured every scrap of it along with fresh toast, tea and French pastries. Can't fault the food. We also had the pleasure of attending a Burns Supper the night before and the food there was excellent too. We had a fresh vegetable broth, a starter of haggis, neeps and tatties - about the best haggis I've ever tasted - steak pie and roasted veg, where we had individual pies chock full of meat and everything was beautifully presented, cranachan, shortbread and tea / coffee. The chefs are to be commended on their food and the staff on their efficient and friendly service.

a hidden gem this place..... it's a wee bit out of the town centre but well worth the short journey over to the football stadium.

El restaurante blues es también muy bueno si sois una pareja y quieren tener una cena más íntima, entonces las cabinas en el restaurante son muy buenos, especialmente si su pareja le gusta el fútbol como las cabinas contemplar Kilmarnock Football Stadium. La comida era muy buena, con buen servicio.

Reservamos en el hotel park por 2 noches, ya que estaba alejado de los negocios (ver crítica aparte) y yo decidimos comer en el restaurante de la casa como estaba en mi propio y simplemente no te gustan de aventurarse. El restaurante es yo diría que lo que cabe esperar de un hotel de negocios, nada de lujos, pero no poco chefesq. es agradable y limpio, pero no un lugar en el que me venga para una fiesta con la familia, etc.

He visitado el restaurante blues para un número de años ahora como siempre me pareció que la comida era excelente y una buena relación calidad-precio. Realmente disfrutar del espacio abierto, el ambiente es relajante y te permitirá tener una charla. (He estado con mis amigos y familia) en las últimas 3 ocasiones, la comida ha sido pobre, cambio de menú, gusto y tamaño de la porción de arranque eran penosas con algo de pan como bruschetta tinyist y cóctel de gambas cuando tuve un plato con ensalada y un montón de gambas en la parte superior, muy insípido y que tenía sólo salió el congelador. Visitado recientemente - gambas entrante, insípido y diminuta, gambas y patatas fritas - es lo que es. Miembro de la familia tenía club sándwich de pollo cajún, muy seco y estándar y también pedimos vino - copa venía con una marca de labios! Realmente no es bueno? Como el otro comentarista, vivimos cerca y volvería más a menudo si la comida y la calidad mejoró. El restaurante tiene que repensar su menú, camarero y camareras profesionales y mejorar el nivel general y la calidad de la comida y estoy seguro de que si este se promovió más gente sin duda visita el restaurante.

I was recently in the blues restaurant with another 8 members of my family, the service was not the best, waitress has absolutely no energy, and not so helpful, the food left a lot to be desired, crab cake was dry, my main was sent back as it was not cooked properly, they were very apologetic, but by the time I waited for replacement I had gone off the idea, I feel the park hotel really needs to up there game when it come to the food, I stay a short walk form park hotel and would like to use it more often if it picks up, all that said, maybe they were having a bad day, a very bad day

Tenía una comida con partícipe allí hace tan sólo unas semanas. Tienen un menú partícipe - un motor de arranque. Dos platos principales, un postre compartido y una botella de vino. Compartimos un tempura mixto muy bonito para comenzar. Teníamos diferentes platos principales que ambos disfrutamos mucho. Terminamos por compartir un encantador de quesos. Todo acompañado por una botella de tinto de la casa muy agradable. Estaría encantado de volver. Retraso en la reseña fue porque estábamos de vacaciones.

I have used this hotel restaurant regularly over the years. Sometimes it is an excellent eating experience and sometimes I have been disappointed. Daytime food prices are reasonable although drinks are hotel prices. The upstairs restaurant is fairly modern and bright. There are several appropriately sized rooms for works and family private dining if preferred. The staff have always been very nice, although I am aware that the tips are not likely to get to your server as there is an internal tranche system favouring permanent staff. This venue could accommodate very large parties and would in the main be able to satisfy the majority of the group for choice, quality and price.

Ate here with a colleague whilst working locally.We had arrived late so just decided to use the hotel restaurant. The food was good although nothing special and service was good but there is a definite lack of atmosphere.

The restaurant is very open and stark. It lacks atmosphere and is seldom busy. The staff are good and the food is too. Prices are reasonable but there are better alternative restaurants in the town. No need to book here. You can also have same menu in the downstairs bar which has a better atmosphere.

We stayed at the Park Hotel and ate here on the 3 nights we were here. Good menu lots to choose from only problem was their fish fryer had broken and I really fancied fish and chips still there are lots of things on the menu so you will find something you like.

The food here is great, i love it. The staff are all lovely too and make you feel really welcome. Adel is great and very attentive. Good value for money and a decent choice on the menu. My dad could hardly finish his fish and chips because the portion was so big. My curry was excellent.

I've been to blues on many occasions and can honestly say I've never had a bad experience. We always like to arrive early and have a drink in the bar downstairs before going up for dinner. I'd recommend the early evening menu which offers excellent food for a very reasonable price. The staff are always very friendly and polite. Sure sometimes if it's busy you'll have to wait a little longer for your food but that will happen at any restaurant. My only little criticism is that maybe the menu could be changed a little more often ...but I suppose that's my problem for being a regular customer

We went as part of a coach touring group and every evening waited up to an hour after ordering to receive our starter. The waiting staff worked hard but they were standing around waiting for the food to serve to us. Most meals, once they arrived, were very good except the breaded fish which was all coating and scarcely any fish and had been greatly overcooked. Breakfast was a buffet style but the hot choices were cold - you can order eggs to be cooked fresh for you.

Good selection on the menu, the haggis main course was great helpful friendly staff, great selection of craft beers in the bars.Breakfast freshly cooked no complaints at all.

Birthday meal with the family. Never disappoints. Great service, good food and well priced. What more is there? Oh yes the place, including the toilets, is spotless.

Always good food nicely prepared with good choice and proportions. There is of course haggis. The service is always excellent and friendly first choice for me in Killie.

I have eaten here several times when staying in the hotel, therefore have now sampled many of the dishes on the menu. All the meals have been excellent.

Restaurant food wasn't busy, but kitchen served 4 areas? was a bit slow on the service but the staff were excellent and very friendly.

Food and service in the Blues restaurant was amazing. Included 'full Scottish' breakfast included haggis and black pudding, which we wanted to try. We weren't sure what to expect of food in Scotland after being told 'everything is fried'. Not so here!

So good with great, great service. We were a large group (11 ) without a reservation and the restaurant was already busy. They accommodated us with no trouble and the food was excellent. Caramelized goat cheese was amazing. Didn't hear any complaints from anyone in our group.

I booked lunch for a Thursday to take my mother before mother's day. I thought it was very busy but had no idea that there is a 20% reduction for pensioners on Thursdays. We had delicious meal with drinks and coffee for £23 and was pleasantly surprised when we received our discount. The standard of meals is very high and I will be booking again soon for an evening meal.

Last minute Sunday meal decision and was pleasantly surprised - lovely food, great service and reasonably priced. Can't really argue with that. We will be back!

Good selection of food here and very reasonably priced.They do 2 and 3 course specials and the portions are very good.Never had to wait for food even when the restaurant was at capacity and the quality for the money was exceptional.Staff were warm and friendly and can do nothing more than recommend.

The jam jar deserts are just the best ever! I've got an incredibly sweet tooth and i struggled to finish mine, as did my mum. They are the best i've ever had. The food in general is really nice, and good value for money. Staff are all lovely and friendly and it's a really nice hotel. Highly recommended. Excellent!

Ate here with colleagues whilst working in the area and staying at The Park Hotel, restaurant is pleasant with views overlooking football stadium, food and service very good and recommended!

We were staying at the hotel and had breakfast and dinner here. The staff was great as was the food. Reasonable prices for the level of service. It seemed to be crowded with locals during meal time, so that means a lot!

Good value, especially the early diners, and the food was well presented by friendly, helpful staff.
