We queued to get in and when we got to our table, we were told our little dog could not sit on my lap. We had an outside table. The floor was disgusting, they hadn’t bothered to clean it, yet insisted my dog sit on the dirty floor. It was so dirty I couldn’t even put my blanket it on it. We left. walked over the road to Cacciari’s (x20 more elegant) and they were happy for him to sit on their velvet sofa!

My wife and I came for brunch during the week. The setup is great and retro, the staff kind and lovely, and the food - just made to perfection! Don’t even get me started on the incredible selection of pastries and cakes - could keep me happy for a week! It’s all anyone could ask for, a great brunch place, with great atmosphere, at a reasonable cost.

Went in as we believed it would be a nice easy visit although we were thoroughly disappointed. Our “coffee crunch” milkshake was just milkey cold coffee (no crunch) and nothing you couldn’t make at home for even cheaper than £6.50. Then came the “berry smoothie” which although the colour would deceive you into thinking it was full of seasonal berries the drink just tasted like bananas and coconut milk (as it was probably the main ingredient unfortunately). Again, it was nothing that different and you could definitely make it at home with any generic Aldi blender. Would not recommend paying the extortionate prices for mediocre at best food!!

Really lovely place to come for a relaxed breakfast with friends at a weekend. Very accommodating for allergies, I had the bangers bap on gluten free bread and it was delicious. Really nice take on something that can usually be quite a plain breakfast. I also had some tea and one of the smoothies, both were gorgeous. Knocked off one star for slow service, but I was busy chatting with my friends so didn’t really notice. Will definitely be back!

Gosh, Mr Grumpy is astonished and you have made him even grumpier. Let’s start with the WC facilities, akin to the worst motorway toilets. Filthy and offensive. Used toilet paper left on the floor, waste bin overflowing also on to the floor, offensive odor. Slippery and wet. NO WONDER NO SCORES ON THE DOOR. Clearly not been cleaned for at least 48 hours, but not let’s dwell and move on. The lunch order. Let’s go for the GOURMET Sandwich selection and much to my regret chose the toasted Ciabatta ham and gruyere cheese. The only advice I can give is for the person who prepared it, GO TO SPECSAVERS. Guess what, no cheese. Except however and majorly worryingly around the edges. This tells me that the toaster has not been cleaned allowing food residue from who knows when to accumulate and contaminate orders. Again no wonder no scores on doors. Staff mildly apologetic but in reality couldn’t care less. If Environmental health should inspect, you would be in the doo doo, big time. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!Message to senior management. Pack your bags and exit Mill Hill before you poison this thriving community.

In need of breakfast in upmarket Mill Hill, there's not much choice in terms of a basic caff - but plenty of options if your tastes run to the hipster and the meat-free.At Bluebelles toast (it's artisan sourdough, obvs, and comes with condiment and butter) is at the lower end of the menu at £3.50, a bowl of porridge with fresh berries adds up to £8 and towards the top end there's eggs Royale with added guacamole topping £13 for the plate. There are some unusual options, to be sure - shakshuka peppers and baked eggs (£8.75) and intriguing takes on French toast, but first thing in the morning is rarely the time to go experimenting. The obvious choice was a bacon or sausage sarnie at £6.50 but the bangers breakfast tickled my curiosity - two poached eggs with sausages and caramelised onions on sourdough toast at £9.50.Good toast, solid bacon, eggs a little overdone and lacking yolky ooze, and the onions could have worked if they had been nicely caramelised but my portion was more of a warmed up red onion salad.Coffee and tea were both excellent, service was friendly and efficient, the decor is very dapper, and the loos are a sight to behold. It's a cunningly crafted concept with a commendable breadth of menu, but to an out of towner the prices kept whispering to me - though I couldn't help noticing that the junior menu was commendably cheap, though available only to those under six.

Nice little place for breakfast on the broadway. Definitely not commercial, very homey, healthy and all together a nice little atmosphere. Their selection of pastry is great and the coffee is very good. The menu, however, in my opinion could be better for brunch / breakfast. It's a little basic and I'm certain they can do better. Food was fresh, tasty and well presented so all in all not a bad place for a nice little breakfast / brunch

Met a friend for breakfast there. As someone else commented, in this kind of place the coffee needs to be really really good - it’s sort of the defining feature. Well, it isn’t. Mine was tepid and when I ordered a second one and asked for it to be extra hot, it was just nearly hot. My companion and I also waited ages and that’s not good either; the kind of people who order coffee first thing in the morning are also the kind of people that need it fast! Our food (hers porridge, mine granola) was ok actually, but took too long to arrive. And hers came quite a while after mine. Service was ok, not impolite but unsmiling. Listen up, Bluebelle guys; smiling actually is very important and makes a huge first impression on your customers. So, will I be rushing back? No; Mill Hill has plenty other places which are better and probably cheaper. Bluebelle, if you want to survive on the high street you need to sharpen things up quickly. And find yourself a proper barista.

While waiting for the annual service on the wheels, I fled up the road to mill hill broadway for a spot of retail therapy. This turn into buying a bottle of chilli sauce, a few dog bits and pieces, and a rather large packet of honey coated cashews from M and S, expensive but a treat. After that I slide into Bluebells glancing at the credit card only sign on the window.I had a spinach and Tuna salad and a coffee and bread. The salad was ok though it did put me in mind of a rustic camp out meal with the tin plate. It was a pleasant enough salad but the chef could goes easy on the mayonnaise, mayo in the tuna does not need another mayo dressing over the top of it.It’s pleasant if your stoping for that relaxed brunch or a coffee, though remember is a No CASH establishment.

This is my cafe of choice in Mill Hill as for me, its the best coffee in the area. Went with a fiend for lunch yesterday, yes the lunch/brunch/breakfast menu is a pretty good size and there are a couple specials but I would like to see something different on their pieces of shabby paper they use as menus. They also had a big note on the door to say they are now cashless, that's fine by me but they don't take American Express either so your options are pretty limited. The food here is absolutely mouth watering... myself and my wife have been a few times in the last month as the ‘green breakfast’ is our favorite. But today I decided to try the off menu ‘big brunch’... an absolute beast of a breakfast, everything I wanted in a breakfast with phenomenal taste. The coffee is Colombian quality and the staff are attentive when they need to be. I would strongly recommend trying the portobello pudding... it’s their equivalent of bread and butter pudding - all their pastries smothered into one... absolute beauty. See pics of food attached.

Went in to ask if Bluebelles had any scope to support a local community project in any way. The manager was so rude it was quite unbelievable, he told off a member of staff in front of me for giving out his name, then without any further interaction he ushered me out with a resounding NO - we don't do community! Such shame as a Mill Hill generally has a strong community minded spirit. It's a shame as I have enjoyed their coffee in the past but I won't be going there again.

I'd been out with a friend the night before and we fancied going out for brunch. It was 8:30am so our only options were Costa or Bluebelles. We took a seat and were served drinks fairly smoothly but no one came to take our food order and we had to beckon a waiter. There were only a few people in the restaurant and two waitresses. It we felt ignored. When the food came it was very tasty. And of course after 9am it got a lot busier post the school run. We had to ask for the bill and ask to pay it.Apart from the service it's a nice place where you can sit outside in the street if the weather is nice and they also have a little garden out the back but only one toilet.Wouldn't go back in a hurry but maybe on the odd occasion. Delicious scrambled eggs = £5.50 One plain grilled tomato = £2.50. How does that compute or remotely make sense? Oh and one extra slice of toast = £1! Whilst I appreciate staffing costs/overheads etc this is simply unacceptable and when I queried the tomato charge I was told "that's the cost of a side order of tomatoes parmesan - it doesn't make a difference that you didn't have the parmesan" .... and the manageress was serious! It seemed that customers are somewhat of an inconvenience- wanting menus and then wanting to order and then expecting food and drink. Been bringing the bill and taking payment needed 15 minutes. Unfortunately with the nearest competitor having just closed I do not hold out much hope for improvement. In future although a bit further to drive, cafe Vero or Michaels for my breakfast. I love this cafe and make sure to visit every week-We often visit with our two young children who feel very comfortable there due to the incredibly child friendly and helpful staff especially Af and Christian. Oh and it's the best coffee on the broadway by far! The food is of a good standard especially the breakfast and pastries. I recently tried the lentil soup which was delicious. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a lovely atmosphere and great coffee.

I've been going to Bluebells since it opened, the hot drinks and snacks are the best I've had! I've eaten a few things from the main menu, which are different from other places but they are equally tasty. The staff are look really nice, polite and friendly (Christian & Af always welcome you with a smile and know what I want). My 2 little ones love it here too especially the Babychinos :-)

Went with a friend for brunch at the weekend. The staff were great with me and had gluten free bread and made sure my scrambled eggs were dairy free. I've been before and enjoyed the fresh juices and coffee. Nothing fancy about it but yet to have a bad experience.

Out for lunch with colleagues on a Wednesday at noon. Mill Hill is relatively affluent, and I'd been warned to expect a trendy vegetarian cafe. It certainly looked popular, with a group of young hipsters sat outside on the pavement (it was a glorious day) but I was pleasantly surprised at the varied menu. We all ate bread based mains, two of us the Chicken BLT, someone else eggs and the fourth Haloumi. We all agreed it was well cooked, and tasty; exactly what you'd expect for the mid range prices we paid. One of my companions commented that they could have done with less flesh on display by our waitress, but I wasn't complaining. I'd definitely go back.

Heard tonnes about this shabby chic Notting Hill cafe opening up in North London and I couldn't wait to check it out. Seemed like a perfect Sunday brunch. After eating there, I don't understand the buzz. The food is mediochre. I could rustle up the same thing at home so there's nothing special about it. However, I was intrigued by the Bluebelles Mess which was a real mess. Interesting concept but wasn't really balanced in flavour and probably gave me a cavity. The stacks sounded good on paper, but weren't as good on plate. I'd be interested to try lunch if I could really be bothered. The food really has potential but just isn't what is expected. Sticking to eggs and toast was the best option and actually turned out to be what I wanted. The atmosphere is lovely and nostalgic of Portabello. The staff are super friendly too. Shame about the food though. On the bright side, the fresh bread does make the place smell like a bakery from heaven. x x x

I visited Bluebelles in Mill Hill on Friday afternoon at 4 pm.Ordered a latte and a cake, eat in price £7.40 the pair.4.15 got latte served in a paper cup at my table after chasing it up twice. Then got cake at 4.25 after insisting it had to come soon or I had to leave. Had to extend my parking and felt the service was very slow and the staff could not be bothered about my time schedule.Won't be going back, sloppy to say the least plus nothing special quality wise. Latte and a cake in Starbucks is less than £5 - paid 50% more and wasn't worth it. Plus latte in take away cup as they 'were closing soon'.

I was looking really forward to going to this trendy cafe. Sadly, it didn't go quite as well as I had hoped. Upon arrival we found an empty table to take but we were set upon by an unfriendly waitress who asked to move to a different table at the front. This did put a bit of a downer on our experience. The young waitress who served us was very friendly and took our order well, the food was pricey but ok, The unfriendly waitress brought back my Brownie and dumped it down on the table without so much as a glance as if it was an inconvenience. So the service by some staff is very terrible!

I really like this place. We had an excellent breakfast and good coffee. Great to have somewhere like this in our area. Not cheap but worth it.

Not sure why this place is so popular. Sure it looks pretty but the Menu is very limited and is very expensive for what it is. Service is OK though generally slow. On latest visit there was virtually no heating, with everybody wearing their coats ( and yes we asked for the heat to be turned up - three times). Have visited several times, mainly because my daughter likes it. Personally, I'd avoid it

Nice spot in mill hill but it was a Saturday morning so busy to park and quite busy so we were lucky to find a table. The seating is not so comfy a quite hard bench seating on one side and chairs on the other. The menu looks interesting but as we had already eaten breakfast we just wanted s coffee and pastry. The pastry was nice enough. I had an almond milk capuccino which was okay but a little bitter. The service was okay although they made s mistake with the bill but when it was pointed out it was corrected. The prices are on the high side. We bought some nice sourdough bread to take away which was nice.

This is mine and my partners favourite breakfast/brunch spot, and we go there whenever we can. The staff are really lovely, the food is great and I love the cakes as you leave. It has a great varied mixture of people who come but it's a pretty funky, healthy styled place. I recommend the "stacks" they do, and their fresh juice is great too. Make sure you get a cake as you leave (I can never fit it in straight after breakfast)

I have been to bluebells a few times 1) the first was after it had just opened - service was extremely slow and took over 20minutes for my coffee to arrive even though the restaurant was empty2) the second time I went with family for breakfast and it was a busy day with a q at the door, we were still eating and drinking and we were literally kicked out whilst still in he middle of our brunch!!! The waitress threw the bill down and cleared away everything whilst we were still eating - absolutely shocking to be treated like Regis because there was pressure to "serve" the customers at the door - portions were also tinnnnnnny and expensive 3) went last week with friends for coffee - I wanted to warn them but didn't kick up a fuss abt the service - wish I had as we were there 1/2 hour before deciding to call the waitress to take our order as no one bothered serving usAvoidLooks nice and trendy but service is honestly appalling, rude and almost non existent Rather go to half full or fratelli or even Costa on the high street if u want service!!!

How long we have waited for a local coffee shop that serves good coffee but it's here at last and well worth the wait. Bluebells serves Caravan coffee made beautifully by their baristas. They also have a simple menu for lunch and breakfast and are happy to make slight changes if out a fuss. Please support this restaurant, we need it to stay.Bluebells please make regular changes to your menu to keep it interesting.

Great atmosphere and always busy, it's the heart of the high street. The menu has some innovative takes on classics; I recommend the 'stacks' (breakfast classics arranged in layers on top of a rösti) and the apple crumble pie. It is a little pricey and the service varied somewhat. It has free wifi for customers and so was a great place to spend an afternoon working.

I've always loved this place, one of the big plusses is that for salads they don't charge extra per topping - you can just choose a range and pay one price. The food is always delicious, and the frozen yoghurt is one of my favorites. I'm always so happy to come here!

Saludable + muy sabroso! Mi favorito es el batido Wake me Up, pero todo sabe muy bien y es creativo aquí; a excepción de los pasteles crudos. No los recomendaré :)

We had breakfast here a few mornings, while staying at the Travelodge over the road. Friendly staff and the food was delicious - scrambled eggs on sourdough with a perfectly fresh salad, shakshuka (baked eggs in tomato and pepper sauce) again with a lovely salad, teas and coffees. The cakes and lunchtime sandwiches and salads looked amazing and we're looking forward to trying more of the menu on a future visit. The price compares favourably with the Travelodge but the quality is much, much better.

Been in a few times. Food is reasonable. If you're not a sports fan you might think of another place for your drinking fix.
