Consistently first class, fresh fish cooked to order great chips homemade tartare sauce etc friendly professional competent staff.

Switched to them after being recommended by a friend and have not been disappointed so far. Only criticism is that they run out of fried chicken early and don't coo up new batches. I would also recommend you telephone your order ahead to save waiting.

Been in Cuffley for 7 years and have to say though it was ok I wasn’t overly impressed, But there has been a massive shift especially since the refurb and the quality is excellent. The fish is pure white and the batter is very good and not oily. The chips are super fresh. Great lads in there also making service equally good.

Always good food and friendly staff who are very helpful. There is a wide choice which should suit everyone.

Cooked fresh and large pieces of fish and lots of chips. Not the cheapest F&C I've ever had but you get what you pay for.

The chefs in the blue sea are so friendly and the food is absolutely DELICIOUS, can’t wait to have another Cod and chips from them. Would definitely recommend!!

This is by far the best chippy around, great staff friendly service mouthwatering middle of skate and there southern fried chicken is better than kfc.

I ordered 2 x cod and chips yesterday. Best in area. Lovely staff. Now doing home delivery (which is great for people isolating etc) as well as collection and only 2 in shop at one time. I noticed it was a lovely clean place, lads wearing masks and lovely lemon hand sanitizer on counter for customers to use. Fish is freshly cooked and cod was pure white and chunky, chips crisp and chunky and everything was very tasty. Brilliant service. Well done lads!

Food ok. But after being short changed on two separate occasions I will not go here again . The second time this happed I paid for my food and while it was cooking I popped next door to another shop when I came back I was rushing and in my rush I paid again and the same man took my money (a different amount ??) . It wasn’t till I turned my back to leave that I realised. As soon as I said oh I just paid twice , he looked guilty and quickly offered me my money back ......

Usually frequent the excellent Fish and Chip business in the Parade, just behind the centre of Goffs Oak Village, which is really excellent, if not pricey, but you get what you pay for, so no criticism!However, pushed for time and having friend unexpectedly arriving to stay, got three fish and chips suppers; Fresh fish and tasty chips, so another venue discovered and at a great price. Excellent quick service.

asked for large fish and chips over the phone. paicked up and paid. opened at home and it was smallest cod i've ever seen. scam when you order by phone as it is wrapped up before you get there to pick it up.

Just to let you know that this chip shop sells fresh fish which is delivered daily from billinsgate. Fresh skate and rock eel is available on wednesdays, thursdays, fridays, and saturdays. To avoid waiting you can simply pre order fish by calling the shop number.

I had never been here before and was driving past on my way home one day and decided to stop to get dinner. I asked for skate and was told they didn't have any fresh fish as the market had been closed. So I questioned the fish that was in the heater and asked if that meant that fish wasn't fresh and the man just looked away. I left without anything. This concerns me as it is so important for fish to be fresh. Therefore I would never buy anything from here In future.

Very good service and welcome, the food very good, everything is freshly cooked so you might have to wait a few minuets but well worth the wait. Very friendly staff

People always recommend here to me and it is a nice fish and chip shop. I always get chips and a sausage in batter. Always had a good experiences here so if you are local would recommend.

Blue Sea always serve top quality fish, beautifully cooked. The chips are good too and that, along with a friendly welcome is a great combination.

El viernes por la noche la cola está fuera de la puerta, así que sabes que es bueno y todo está siempre fresca. El personal crean el ambiente más agradable y acogedor y son muy generosos con sus raciones. Gran lugar para tomar un poco y los precios muy razonables.

Visita aquí regularmente tan contentos de haber encontrado este lugar como yo vivo en Cheshunt me han decepcionado en numerosas ocasiones por mala fish and chips tiendas en broxbourne pero el coche a Cuffley para pescado y patatas fritas es sin duda vale la pena! El personal siempre es educado y amable, siempre me hacen un esfuerzo con cada cliente. 10/10 para el servicio al cliente su comida es fresca y sabrosa y las raciones son generosas. Es un poco más caro (más como mar pescado y "fish and chips" precios) pero no me importa pagar que por la calidad de la comida y el servicio.

Finding a good fish and chip shop these days is extremely difficult, so although this is not the best I've ever had,it is better than the average these days.As with most fish shops,they also sell the usual takeaway foods like sausages,pies etc.I find that it is better to ring in advance in order to avoid a wait,and to get your fish fried fresh,which I find the fish is.Someone wrote that it was off putting to find items other than fish being fried in the same oil,that's common practice these days I'm afraid. As to finding another fish restaurant/takeaway nearby,I'd like to know where.

Having been a local for 32 years we have seen owners come and go . It has consiquently had its ups and downs . The last time we bought from here it was quite good . However , I always felt nauseous if I ate any of the batter so avoided . Then one day my husband saw that they took out the fish , sausages and chicken all together as they are all cooked together I. The same oil which we never realised before We have not eaten meat for over 30 years so possibly this is why I was affected by it . We have not returned since this discovery .It would seem that this is common practice unfortunately however which I find amazing as if it were a restaurant not a take away , it would be regarded as cross contamination to cook all these things together . Then again some cook in beef fat anyway . Fortunately we have found somewhere close by that cook fish separately , and grill as well as fry .

A little pricey but good fresh fish and chips. They will take phone orders for large and special orders eg. plaice or skate so they are ready on collection.
