The order did not arrive, despite your site saying it had been delivered

GORGEOUS homemade tartar sauce and cod done we’ll. chips were always undercooked- ordered a number of times and they were always just about fried

outstanding as always everytime we get it delivered its always hot and extreamly good portions

Sadly we can’t afford to order from here anymore, the prices are quite honestly a joke. £3.40 for a sausage and £6.20 for what effectively are a few potatoes. Forget about ordering Cod and Chips for 2…what a luxury that’s now turned out to be.

For years been eating fish and chips here. Slowly but slowly noticed standards dropping. They even have stopped taking card payments (HMRC) only cash. However recent experience was truly bad. Noticed the fish being fried for 90 seconds and pulled out, was worried if undercooked. Sadly that proved correct, on reaching home, fish was raw and cold in middle and very thin batter mainly on top but barelynoticeableon bottomand sides. Even worse was the dodgy stomach since then, with frequent bathroom visits. Will have to look elsewhere. Avoid

Visited this popular little Fish and chip shop due to getting a craving for chips and sausage. Received good food, service and value for money. Place appears to be very busy, attracting multiple customers and regulars. There is seating available to eat inside but I opted for the takeaway option.

It's a good thing that I purchased the ketchup, as my parents wanted the salt and vinegar on their chips, so please give customers that option.

Got a 2nd portion of chips instead of the 10 onion rings I ordered and 1 of 4 tartar sauces was missing……

Pukka Pie was very dry. May have been overheated?

Food is good. Tables and chairs need a good clean as sticky. Still only take cash which actually only puts customers off. Which businesses only take cash still today!

The main guy is nice. Told me they don’t accept card and only cash. The rest of staff stare and made it super uncomfortable to sit inside. Fish is super greasy. Portions are super large which is great but needs to be cheaper for what you’re offering. It’s an average chippy this isn’t a brand.

I love their cod and chips. It is always hot and not oily. They don’t always get my order right but I do enjoy it so I order near once weekly. The portions are good. The delivery drivers are friendly too

Local and friendly traditional chippy, not many of these kind around nowadays. Chips were good quality and portion size was generous. Service was nice and quick. Only downside is they are cash only, which nowadays is a bit inconvenient, though it is probably due to transaction costs with card payments.

The battered sausages are great. The southern fried chicken was great but as you add more, the cost per piece doesn't reduce which is weird, and you also don't get a dip with it. The curry sauce was disgusting, avoid.

Very bad experience. I went there for pickup delivery app shows me order should be ready at 3.07 I asked their staff after 3.07 they told me it will take 5-6 minutes after that I asked again then they told me it will take 1-2 minutes more then after 3 minutes I asked again and now they told me 7-8 minutes more then their favourite driver comes in and put long wait in system who waited for delivery outside on their bike this all incident takes 30 minutes more to give me order i was on just eat delivery so i can’t cancel at that time there is no customer available so it should be prepared but their staff was smiling and chatting each other rather than taking care of order. So please think when you place order if it came to their favourite driver then you will get it at time other then it will take time and in all this incident their staff was laughing.

Well it’s good and very good so nice

Had a delivery which was on tu.e, however, fish was stuck to the paper and definitely overcooked while the chips were soggy and undercooked. Battered sausage was tasty but warm and not hot.

Initally told us the food was arriving at 7:30pm and it didn’t arrive until 7:51pm

Ordered my elderly mother a delivery and it did not turn up but said delivered. £26 wasted and no food .

This chippy deserves an outstanding review at the best of times, not only are their morsels fresh,tasty & delicious, there was a mix up with my order & they prepared another order, to enjoy our usual fishy Friday!Thanks guys, it is much appreciated.

The food we get from The Blue Oyster fish and chips shop are fabulous and very tasty. Even though the courier has quite bit to travel to deliver to our home, the food is always still piping hot

Just picked up Cod and Chips. I saw the fryer hand one cod direct to the person on the till and 2 other pieces of cod was taken from the warm counter. I didn't think much of the cod that was given directly but when my wife and daughter had it was slimey and felt sick. I don't know why I was given that single piece of cod differently from the other 2 Pieces. The staff know me there and have a good rapport. So I will ask them so they know who wrote this review. If a customer pays the advertised price then they should not be given food that may not be right for consumption. The other 2 pieces of cod were OK. Do the staff there think customers don't know any difference? Well my wife use to run her own Chippy up North!

This driver phone me to say he was outside, and thought that I need to leave my home in bare feet and walk across the mud and bushes in the dark to collect my delivery so he could stay in the park on his bike, this not the first time he has been so rude.

It has become habit that driver does not know the route to come or they have 2 deliverey so by the time we get the food it cold this 2nd time its happened. NOT HAPPY WITH JUST EAT DRIVERS

The food arrived just warm not hot as it usually is and the fish was smaller than normal

Take a large open wallet, fish chips peas curry sauce just about everything has increased in price ridiculously, less than a year ago only a few months in fact fish was well under £8 Now £9.50 i know cost of living has increased but this is well over the top now, shame because its nice food but getting too much of a luxury compared with different take aways in the area
