Blue Lagoon in Glasgow City

Chips are soaked with bad smelling oil. Fish smells bad, tastes worse. I couldn’t eat it. They charged half of the meal. I don’t recommend this place.

After eating here for over 40 years the single fish was pitiful. Will never eat here again! Are we living in a third world country!

I had Breakfast here lovely and freshly cooked,I also had Dinner x2 on 6/8 and 7/8 staff were so helpful I had the fish and chips captains choice with drink and bread,all freshly cooked so tasty would highly Recommend you try them.spoke to the owner nice freindly guy.Thankyou to all staff excellent job done

Such a cool and quirky place with yummy fish and chips. Staff were lovely. Definitely will revisit next time I'm in Glasgow.

We popped in here for a snack on the way for the train home. The service was quick and food was tasty and freshly cooked as always but prices are very overpriced!

This shop shouldn't even pretend to have food for vegans. You can stand in the queue for an hour to be told that they don't fry in anything other than animal fat. And don't rely on then being sent to Argyle Street because they are a nightmare, Avoid this chain at all cost if you are vegan because your needs are not going to be met.

Waited 15 mins and never even got vegan food, got a real sausage supper 28/10/23. Disappointed.

This restaurant is located right by Glasgow station. I had my first experience of deep fried pizza! The restaurant is very vibrant, and well decorated. Good service and good food!

Lovely premises, best fish batter I’ve tasted in a long time and an excellent deep fried Mars bar. Our only criticism was that the chips were a bit on the hard side, they were still perfectly acceptable. Our server also looked after us well - a nice fish tea had by us both .

Food was delicious. I had Fish and chips. Roasting hot and chips had been cooked in dripping. Reason for 3 star review was very slow service. It was almost like I was the invisible woman. Family came in 15 minutes after me and had almost finished eating before I got mine. Very clean place and decor very funky.

Worst chip shop meal in my life We had the meal in the early hours with the drink brigade but leaves no excuse for the quality of the fish and chips. I had fish and chips, both over cooked, rock hard and terrible. My wife has sausage and chips. Again the chips were over cooked and hard, the sausage was under cooked and sloppy. Not a great experience by any stretch of the imagination

We visited as a family for takeaway. Not fast food - took over 10 minutes to collect our food from ordering and was very expensive for what is basic at best fish and chips. Chips ok but sausage overcooked and fish was soggy. Also witnessed a female manager telling off a staff member for putting the macaroni cheese seperate from the chips, as if they put it in the same box ‘ we would be able to give them less chips’ ! I mean come on not exactly grear customer service particularly as it was £7.95 for some soggy macaroni cheese and chips! Blue Lagoon used to be the best basic place in Glasgow for simple cheap takeaway fish and chips - all this fancy new shop and crazy prices is way out its league when the food is still the same - as they say in Glasgow you cant polish a turd!
