Wonderful service from all the staff as I have an egg allergy. They went above and beyond to assist with this. The food was lovely and tasty and the staff couldn’t do enough for us to make our visit so enjoyable. Thank u !

Had a wonderful Afternoon Tea this afternoon. A great selection of sandwiches, tasty homemade Scotch Eggs which were far better than the shop bought variety, and other savoury treats. The scones and cakes were delicious and there were so many that we had to ask for a box to take our leftovers home. Great value for money with endless cups of tea and coffee included.

4th November 2023m was a cracking night out at the Bluebell! I went with two of my (adult) sons one of their girlfriends and another friend. Great atmosphere, the band 50/50 were on banging form. A good selection of real ales, local and from further afield. Great service from the staff, Simon and Sabz, prompt, polite and efficient. Had a great night!

Thank you John,Ryan,Sabs for a great breakfast and accomadating my brother who had 3 strokes and now blind also lost a lot of mental capacity.we had a great day having breakfast and watching the football Only problem we encountered that spoilt the day was comments from some customers that my brother was exceptionally drunk as he need help to and from the toilet. He had Appletise, Blackcurrant and water then non alcoholic gins. I think it was disgusting of customers to presume everybody who needs help in a pub is drunk.. THE PUB IS GREAT JUST SOME CUSTOMERS NEED EDUCATION AS TO HEATH ISSUES

Turned up Friday lunch with elderly parents. They were busy but happy to accommodate us. Service was a little slow due to staff shortage but staff were welcoming and kept us informed. There wasn’t a large choice but enough for us for lunch. We ordered 2 breakfasts, one small breakfast (which was still substantial) one ham egg and chips and one omelette( good choice of fillings offered) and it came with chips and salad. Food was very tasty and enjoyed by all. We will definitely be going back. For 5 main dishes and 7 drinks the bill came to just over £60

We booked a table here last night as Thursday they do wine deals with seasonal mains and usually it’s really busy. Apart from a couple of tables the place was empty. The table was not set and done on arrival. On asking what the pie of the day was we were told it was turkey & cranberry. Seems old for summer and not Christmas. I had the lasagne which I have previously raved about. Well it’s certainly changed. New chef? It lacked flavour and tasted like it was cheap mince. This place is not cheap. The last time we came for a Sunday roast it was Mother’s Day and we notice the portion and vegetable selection had decreased however the price is now £17.95. The reason I am giving 3 stars is the service received by the pleasant young man that served us. I’m sure the nearby Cock would have been much busier and with tasty food too.

We booked a table for 4 on a Saturday for brunch at 12 for a mini hen outing prior to going to a spa. The pub was very quiet, so it was a surprise that the service was so slow. We were advised of several items not available on the menu & that limited our options. I’d chosen the pub based on positive trip advisor reviews but on this occasion our experience was disappointing.

We reserved a table for the first sitting (12:30pm) for Sunday lunch and were seated promptly upon arrival at noon. We ordered roast beef and roast lamb, and opted for the standard plate size rather than a small portion. Not only were we very impressed with the amount and quality of the meat, but the trimmings were generous and freshly prepared. To finish the meal, we selected profiteroles and rhubarb crumble – both were delicious and the helpings sizeable! The restaurant had a charming pub feel, with tables spaced and screened for comfort and ambiance. All in all, a really lovely meal, made all the more special by Michaela, whose warm welcome and attentive service made for a truly memorable experience – Thank you!

I was very impressed by the afternoon tea. A large variety of freshly made sandwiches, quiche, sausages rolls and mozzarella sticks, were followed by a generous fruit scone, lemon drizzle cake, rocky road, carrot cake and the most delicious profiterole. There was an unbelievable amount of food and it was all good quality and very tasty. None of us managed to eat the whole tea but we were offered 'doggy bags' so nothing was wasted. All for £14!! Absolutely amazing value!! In addition, the staff were attentive and friendly. Thoroughly recommend!!

Having booked for the meal we was informed that there was only two time slots left but we experienced that there was only 3 tables occupied during the whole evening, so a bit confused about that one. Ordered our main meals and waited over 45 minutes for them to arrive which was a bit of a joke with the amount of people in there. The fish and chips meal was ok but the chips being triple cooked we’re on the verge of being burnt. The chicken meal was also a bit tough but edible. We decided to have a dessert and all I can say is don’t go for the apple pie as the portion which is supposed to be a large one was pathetic for the price. The sticky toffee pudding was very nice though and twice the size of the a-pole pie. We have decided not to go there anymore as there are other restaurants in the village and surrounding area that does better than this. Came away some what dissatisfied but hey ho.

An ok local pub but not family friendly. No changing facilities for babies or toddlers and very sexist too as only women can change nappies which is on a small section next to the sinks covered in water under a hand dryer. Not good at all. When asked staff about changing facilities was told they haven’t got anything yet. Pub has been run by same owners for years so not sure when this ‘yet’ actually is. Disappointing to say the least and a but disgusted really for a local village pub.

The Bluebell has really got outdoor hospitality sorted. Even the bar is outside. Plenty of pod seating so if the weather changes, you're covered, literally. Table and menu were sanitised when we arrived, and we were asked to scan the QR code. There were plenty of waiting staff, who were all wearing masks. Drinks arrived promptly and the food was good. I thoroughly recommend.

On visiting relations we were taken to the Bluebell for lunch. The appearance from outside was quite inviting and on entering the Restarant we were imdiatly taken by the cosy atmosphere We were shown to the table which had been teserved for us and pleased that the tables were not on top of each other and that the background music was actually in the background so we didn't have to shout at eac otherAfter ordering our drinks the menu was produced and an unusual feature was that we could mix and match between the festive menu and the normal menu. The service was excellent and the food really was home from home We come from York which has an abundance of Restaurants but nothing could touch what we had at the Bluebell. We can't wait for another invitation

Recently ate here with friend. Will begin with the negative - our food was only luke warm and it was served on cold plates. However, it was very well-cooked and extremely tasty; obviously home made lasagne was so good it's impossible to find words to describe it. The puddings were delicious and the beer was well kept. Barbara looked after us, she was very efficient, knowledgeable, smiley and polite. Thank you, Barbara and compliments to the chef. So, on the whole a great experience, the best place to eat in Werrington and we'll definitely return.

We prebooked a Sunday lunch for fathers day, on arrival the staff were very professional and made us feel very welcome. The food is good traditional English roast with the option of several meats. As it was fathers day they added some specials to the menu plus as it was fathers day all the men were given a complimentary malt whisky from an extensive list. If you like good wholesome food this is for you, I would advise that you book as it is busy on Sundays.

30 years after moving to Peterborough………..Attended a special “casino” evening with U3A group, some thirty or so people and many other people. The restaurant was busy, the service was very good, the food was delicious and inventive, the ambience was warming. I am definitely going again. These students, after a hard day of lectures, tutorials or whatever, worked their socks off to produce excellent results and so many happy and satisfied customers …..wonderful. I was impressed.

Prices were good, compared to local take aways. Portion size was good for lunch but not quite enough for a main meal, but I do have a big appetite. They actually put salt and vinegar on it rather than just waving the bottles near the food! Chips were proper sized. Batter was crispy and tasty. Sausage was not over done. All in all very good.
