Blossom in Rossendale

Went here last night with my eldest daughter. Cosy little restaurant and great service by the hosts. The hot and sour soup was probably the best I have ever tasted and I also had the fillet steak black pepper which was also very nice. Daughter loved her chow mein and after visiting this place, we will be back with the rest of the family Lovely spot highly recommend

Welcoming Chinese restaurant in the centre of Rawtenstall offering both dine-in and takeaway. Having both visited to eat in the restaurant and order take out, Blossom has become our local go to for Chinese cuisine. Staff are very helpful and attentive and the food offering is fairly priced and generous. Happy to recommend and having spoken to friends who have visited it seems they share similar opinions. Would advise pre booking due to restaurant size.

Very disappointed food very salty chips soggy not up to usual standard it was for sons birthday so shame as normally a good meal

Very expensive for average food, service was absolutely terrible! didn’t cater to a large party well at all, drinks are severely overpriced and most of them were flat or tasted Funny. Would not recommend this place to anybody anymore which is a shame because it used to be a lovely restaurant. Really needs to improve with there customer skills, with every single person that worked there as we found them rude and ignorant.

Very welcoming staff & lovely setting. Fit us in at short notice. Food was wonderful especially the mixed seafood dishes!

We were staying in Rawtenstall for three nights and had a takeaway from you on our first night. The food was wonderful, perfectly cooked and really tasty. We really enjoyed everything that we ordered, especially the mushroom rice and sweet and sour king prawns. The service was fast and very friendly.

Set meal for 2, (Takeaway) Prawn Toast & Spring Rolls good, both Main meals had really dark sauce (too much Soy sauce) made dishes really salty, we both left half of it, couldn't eat it. Egg fried rice was good. IMO I wouldn't say it was Restaurant quality, had better takeaways. spoilt our night as was an Anniversary dinner - first time there but wouldn't return, waste of money.

This place is a little gem. We went on a Saturday teatime as a family of four. The cuisine is classically Chinese with all signature dishes you would expect. Meat and vegetarian dishes were cooked perfectly. Service was friendly and efficient, prices reasonable. Will definitely go again

Have to put this review on. Had plenty of takeaways but decided to dine this evening. The service and the food was excellent. A must to visit.

This restaurant is easily my favourite Chinese restaurant. The service and the food are fabulous and reasonably priced. Staff lovely too. Well done blossoms keep up the great work

This is my sister's favourite Chinese restaurant. So, when the family came to see her, from all over the UK and from NZ, we went there—ten of us. We chose a lot of different dishes and shared them. They were all great. They all tasted individual. We had a memorable and unhurried evening. If I go to that town again I will certainly eat there.

Excellent food and service. The Dim Sum is to die for . You must also try the Steamed King Prawn. The King Prawns are massive and plentiful. Every dish we enjoyed. We both thought it might have been the best Chinese we had been to over the years

We order a takeaway from Blossom most Fridays and are always very happy with the quality of the food and the prompt service. It is more expensive than a regular takeaway (some dishes are definitely overpriced), but it's restaurant quality. Well cooked with fresh ingredients. Highly recommended!

We have had a good number of takeaways after work from here during various stages of lockdown. The food has always been fabulous. I think the best hot and sour soup in the area. We attended tonight for a meal (just the 2 of us) it was even better! Such lively people and the service was great! The set menu was brilliant, Thankyou

There are no outstanding chinese restaurants in Rossendale and I dont know why that is but this did the trick for a Sat night takeaway. The food was hot & the dim sum were good. Ribs were a bit fatty but the chow mein made up for that - very tasty. Perfectly fine & would use again.

Orderd takeaway, it tasted like it come out a dogs bottom. It was unseasoned and very salty. Sauce was very watery and runny. First time ordering here and last time I will be. I feel sick.

Visited Blossom on the 'eat out to help out scheme'. It was busy but comfortable.The food was very good and so was the service. Only slight downside for me was the Aromatic Duck was a little dry and was missing some of its crispy skin?Still enjoyable though and my main of Roast duck in ginger spring onion made up for it. Delicious. Hope to visit again soon.

Came here during the 50% off deal and overall the experience was good. However, we were seated next to the kitchen and the toilets which felt slightly uncomfortable. The cutlery was slightly greasy but the food was nice. The staff were very friendly too. Overall I think the price for the meal was overpriced for example, salt and pepper chips cost £5 per portion and they, in my opinion, were not worth the price.

We visited Blossom for the first time last weekend as it was our first meal out since lockdown. The food was amazing, the lady who served us was lovely, and we felt very safe as social distancing was adhered to. We cannot wait to go back, so much so we’re ordering a takeaway from there tonight. Absolutely loved it, couldn’t recommend it enough :)

Me and my husband ate at Blossom last night and the food was amazing. I have never eaten there before and previously haven't been a fan of Chinese food but I have been converted. This may be my new favourite local restaurant! The service was fantastic, the lady was so on the ball with drinks and food. Very pleasant atmosphere. Really enjoyed our evening.

Ordered salt & pepper Spare ribs £ 6.60 for 4 ribs , one was fat only one was so over cooked inedible that left 2 ribs for 4 people that’s £ 3.30 for each rib never again the rest of the meal was good but very disappointing

I ordered from this place a few times and, had food service and food. Then, last week I was told the driver (not the usual one) who only speaks Chinese (why would you) cannot find my address. I clearly explained I lived above a business and how to find me but the person on the phone spoke over me and refused to give the driver the details. Instead they expected me to walk through a dark carpark (the only way out of my property to the main road) in the rain and in my nightwear. The order got sent back and they put the phone down on me. I have tired to order since and as the have caller ID said they were not doing deliveries. I called again tonight withholding my phone number and yes they could deliver but, when I said my address they can’t as they driver is Chinese and only speaks Chinese. I tired to explain that for me to go to the main road I had to go through a dark carpark and they basically was interested. I said a driver had previously delivered to me on several occasions and found my place ok and spoke english. Again the person on the phone would not listen and spoke over me. Very rude! AVOID if you want your order to be delivered as they only have a driver that speaks Chinese. It’s disgusting. Poor customer service as the person at the end of the phone speaks over you and does not listen.

My husband and I originally tried this place for a takeaway last week and really enjoyed it, our usual Chinese chippy was too busy to answer our call. We noticed they did an early bird menu 5-7 mon - Thursday and thought we’d try it on our next meal out. Really pleased we did! 5 courses - all cooked really well and plenty of it, so much so we were too full to tackle the dessert course. The only downside I suppose was the lack of other customers, it was very quiet although it was a Thursday during half term. Don’t let the lack of custom put you off going in. If you are In rawtenstall and fancy something different to the multitude of Indian restaurants we have in the town, give Blossom a go, well worth it.

We had not been to this restaurant for over 8 years but went on Saturday night as our usual haunt was fully booked. The menu is varied with some nice seafood and vegetarian options. We found the portion size good and food prices competitive with other local Chinese restaurants. Soft drinks were a little on the expensive side. Overall, we had a nice meal, service was good and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Never ordered from here before but on recommendation from a friend, we tried it and were not disappointed. The food was really fresh, portion size good and the dim sum, crispy duck and satay were absolutely delicious. Happy customers!!! We will be back for sure.

I can't believe some of the negative comments on here. Blossom is a fantastic place to go and eat. May and the team are always happy to see you and cant do enough to accommodate your party, May will move furniture (literally) to make sure you fit in. We have never had a bad meal here and actually have some friends who ask when we are taking them. I've added some pictures, the steak rolls are amazing its like a spring roll filling but wrapped in tender steak in either peppercorn sauce or Cantonese sauce. The bbq ribs are massive and the salt and pepper chinken wings are just right. They also do crispy lamb which nice if you want to try something different with your pancakes. Try it out you wont be disappointed.x

Felt really let down by this last meal. It’s been about a year since the last visit, but the food now is overpriced and under-portioned. £3.80 for salt and pepper chips ... £2.00 more than ‘normal’ chips and it’s basically just a spoonful of onion, peppers and chilli thrown in. The tofu wasn’t great at all. The whole thing was a total waste of money and ruined the evening a tad.

We have just had this delivered and I have to say it’s absolutely awful. The chips were frozen chips. The worst salt and pepper chips and chicken I’ve ever seen. Egg fried rice bland. So so dissapointing

Just read last revue and its not Blossom Been coming on off for few years and can say I am lover Chinese Style food and I have had terrible ones , Not at blossom though food is consistent on quality and flavour and I love this place if your want great food give it a try its better than the average and I have not got low standards on food ,Sum it up quality and fantastic give it a try

We have visited this restaurant years ago and said we would never return due to management. Decided that it was years ago and be positive as people change and places. We had a client with us from Sweden who adores chinese food so we visited for a meal for 3.

I visited the restaurant years ago but mainly get takeaways now. We use the service regularly and have never had a bad meal yet. The food is always tasty, fresh and the service when ringing up is always very polite and courteous. I am surprised at the negative reviews - not sure these are really reflective of this great place.

just attended the restaurant and had a set meal for two. very fresh and piping hot food which was served in a timely fashion. the staff were pleasant, attentive and polite at all times while we were there.

Beautiful food and big varied menu. Yummy noodles, crispy beef and chicken was amazing. Chicken chow mien also really good.

Travelled from Prestwich to try their delicious food. A family friendly restaurant. Friendly accommodating staff. They treated our 6 year old like one of the family. Can highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

Service has always been good and quick. Food is always well cooked. Portion size is average. Cost a tad higher than I would expect. There are some offerings on the menu that you won't find in other chinese restaurants such as the fish and lamb dishes.

Última noche mi amigo y yo decidimos ir a Flor para un cambio (habiendo sido antes). Yo estaba muy sorprendido por lo bien que estaba la comida. Teníamos pato crujiente con barrio, sal y pimienta costillas de repuesto, tostadas de sésamo gambas, filete, fideos de arroz, huevo frito suave y una botella de vino. No me puedo quejar nada, de hecho fue absolutamente delicioso. Total de 58 libras. El personal era amable, el servicio es bueno. Sin duda volveré.

Hemos estado pidiendo desde aquí durante años pero la hora de cierre ha recibido anteriormente y antes de los últimos meses. Tanto así que intentamos tomar justo antes del 10:00, hora de cierre indicado en su menú para llevar esta noche y se negaron a tomar nuestro pedido. La comida de Flor ha sido siempre delicioso en el pasado, pero el servicio ha ido gradualmente cuesta abajo. Podrían hacer con el aprendizaje que el cliente es rey y que el cliente siempre tiene la razón.

Mi pareja y yo ya dispuesto a hacer el viaje a Rawtenstall tener un sentarse en comida en flor. Ofrecen menos gf/opciones vegano en el menú para llevar.

My daughter and her friends went for a meal and was met with very rude and poor service, from cold food,a service charge added and being told if you don't pay the service charge they would have to pay £4 for one glass of tap water. She was very upset and wouldn't go back again.

I have eaten in the restaurant and it is nice, quiet and peaceful. Had many takeaways which I prefer. The food never fails, it's tasty and well priced. Really fast service. Try it.

We have been to Blossom before and it's always been consistently good but it was even more delicious this time. All eight of us enjoyed our food but I think I made the best choices. The king prawn dumplings starter & the steamed sea bass for main course were stunning. Can't wait to go back.

Ordered a takeaway , which was ready within 10mins, was very impressed with there chicken curry very tasty and well worth a visit

This is an excellent Chinese restaurant ,after visiting all others in the valley this is definitely best for good food and cheerful service

What a nice suprise! Didn't look much from outside but we were hungry and we're in need of feeding and the wife fancied chinese. Nice greeting , seated quickly and curtious staff. We plumped for the set meal for 2.Great value meal and plenty of it. Great presentation always left enough time between courses.Food was lovely. In fact I would say better than some other fancy chinese restaurants we have used in the past and a fraction of the cost.I would certainly recommend a visit if you want great food with great staff. Was also busy for an early Saturday evening which is usually a good sign to me.Thankyou Blossom restaurant. Will certainly be back

First time here and got a take away. "Bland" sums it up. Wouldn't normally leave a review but it was more than we would normally pay for a take away and feel like I've been a bit ripped off. Wouldn't recommend

Drive past this restaurant nearly every day but never fancied it because it looks a bit tacky from outside, friends asked us to go with them, so pleased we did. Not the best decor, a little dark but staff were very friendly and attended to us straight away, served with drinks very quickly, can recommend the sharing platter for starters, very varied and plenty of it, followed by the fillet of beef with ginger and spring onions, very tender beef and plenty of fried rice to share. Will definitely return.

A pleasant dinner with friends. Great food, fast service and excellent value. We've been eating either as diners or takeaways for many years and have never been disappointed so I'm surprised at some of the negative comments. Strange. My advice - if you like Chinese food give it a try, I think you'll be pleased!

Popped over on a Saturday night to give Bossom a first visit.Very happy indeed!This is the first review I have wrote on here - I really enjoyed it so thought that it was well worth my time in letting you guys know!The food was great, the staff friendly and I managed to get a great vegetarian option - Mock fish.Never tried before but it was amazing. Actually us veges usually get a bad deal with Chinese food but Blossom really makes up.Very happy customer!

Got a takeaway from here New Year's Day, never again, had the crispy chicken which all I can say was Luke warm and slimy tasted more like calamari than chicken, the curry sauce had a brown thick oil on top...... Horrible......sorry to say avoid...

Well there are no problems with this place, even a busy Christmas Eve was excellent, Food amazing and service supurb. We will be back

Friday night trip, and what a meal. Best Chinese around, and excellent service. Steak rolls starter - simply delicious. Crispy shredded beef, also delicious. And they deliver too if you need it.Don't miss this amazing place.

This has got to be one of the most underrated restaurants in Rossendale, Ok the place is not located in the best place and does not look up to much from the outside but the food is very very good. The decor inside is also not the best but for all its negatives the food certainly makes up for it. The restaurant is never busy so the service is instant and we have eaten here numerous times and never had a bad meal yet. Will be going back sometime over the up coming Christmas period.

Absolutely Shambolic!We decided to order a takeaway,We should have known within minutes as the woman shouted on the phone that they wouldn't tolerate my sons nut allergy!When we went to pick up the meal for only half of us, we was about to pay when the owner rudely snapped at us and said "We Take No Card, We Take No Card" " you get cash now" Baring in mind this was our first time...We went, and in hiensite should have left and never gone back but stupidly paid, it was evident that they just warmed the food up in a microwave as they claimed they had cooked fresh food in 10 minutes?Will defiantly not go back and have told all my friends, In my opinion I hope the place goes bump, and shuts down as it doesn't look hygienically friendly and if they can't abide with someone's allergies in which they can't help I think it's absolutely disgraceful!

A reasonably standard menu. Dishes a bit heavier than I'm used to, and flavours a bit indistinct (Szechuan nice but nothing like the normal flavour profile) but overall a pleasant meal with attentive service in nice enough surroundings.

Blossom is the best Chinese restaurant in Rossendale for food, service and general atmosphere. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. This is our go to restaurant for a special occasion and would highly recommend.

Had a recent bad experience at this restaurant, i ordered the beed satay and the meat with very smelly. I should have been suspicious about how quickly the food came out. Within a few minutes of my order being placed and i am assuming pre cooked and heated up. I was stuck on the tiolet for days after that experience. never again

The food was excellent as usual with chinese restaurants the choice was extensive but we had 4 different main meals and everyone was cooked well and was tasty and plentiful

This is one of the most friendly and welcoming places we have been to. The food is superb the service is always with a smile and the atmosphere is just right. Whether you go as a couple or a large family group the welcome and service is exactly the same. No matter what you order the food is consistently wonderful and piping hot. A fantastic place to eat in and they do local takeaway too.

Managed to return after many months (due to redundancy and not able to afford to go out), and again it was as amazing as always!Love this place and we will keep going back, please try it - it's a diamond. We have actually encouraged people passing in the street to try it - they too were impressed!The banquet meal Sunday to Thursday is amazing value, and they do not scrimp on the portions either!

From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were impressed by the service. The food was exquisite and piping hot. The ribs were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Blossom for a wonderful evening. We shall be returning soon. :-)

I'm not really a chinese eater but as this was a celebratory meal we fancied a change. We both had the set menu A == Soup, Platter (spring rolls, wontons, prawn crackers), Duck, then last course was egg fried rice with sweet and sour chicken and beef in black bean.What a lovely atmosphere for a nice meal, much better than pub food. Nice gap in between meals and didnt feel full afterwards. Will definitely be visiting again.

I attended this resturant with my family today, the drinks were flat and the staff refused to replace them as they were fresh out of a can, nor would they refund the money for the drink. After paying 40 pounds for the meal my son wanted some prawn crackers, i only had my card on my which i just used to pay. They wanted £1.50 for the crackers and then wouldn't take my card because i had to make a transaction over £10... The crackers probably cost them 25p, was 25p worth a negative review on the internet for the world to see? Very poor service and would highly recommend all to avoid these money grabbers. Good service goes along way..

This is our second visit and the food was just as good, the staff are delightful and it's a very comfortable place to eat, no doubt we will be back soon.

Having lived in Rawtenstall for 6 years, this is our first visit to Blossom Chinese Restaurant. We were not disappointed. A nice friendly welcome and prompt service. Our drinks were attended to straight away. We each had a starter and main and it was lovely. The food was hot and very tasty. We are only sorry that we hadn't come here sooner. We will definitely return.

This is a fantastic restaurant and take away.I eat here relatively regularly with my husband and son and the owner is fantastic, she makes you feel welcome, she always remembers us, and always has a kind word to say to my little boy.The food is always lovely. Great selection, really good sized portions, very very reasonably priced, and the early bird menu is a steal!

We had the early bird special so the place was quiet. The service was amazing very very accommodating when we asked to make the special vegetarian.the waitress immediately gave us the different options available. The food was fresh, tasty and good size portions! Would recommend thia one!

The food is plentiful and very fresh and well cooked. Services is spot on and nothing is any trouble the the owner and her staff. The 6 course early bird menu is amazing at £15-95 a head.
