Blank Street Coffee - Holborn in Camden

First visit to Blank Street Holborn and we were served by a gorgeous welcoming girl, Izzy. She advised which matcha and recommended the pistachio cookies which were amazing! I hope she sees this x

There are a handful of Blank Street Coffee branches scattered around the city including this place along Kingsway just outside the Holborn Metro exit. They are open from 6.30am to 7pm daily, small indoor seating area so be ready for grab-n-go, take-away orders if they are full up. I stopped by recently for a double espresso, midday caffeine fix. Service was quick, prices reasonable and my coffee was bold, strong with rich flavour, tasted like a good espresso should. Would be happy to pop in for another coffee based on this experience.

I really enjoy the passion fruit matcha here but have suffered with really poor customer experience throughout their London stores. Mayfair is the one I go to most frequently and it’s frustrating that the staff just don’t stop their conversations to serve you properly. You feel like a hindrance. They never clear up the areas from previous customers, you have to do it yourself. I raised this with their Head Office as if it were my company, I would want to know. They apologised but today at the Liverpool Street store I realised this poor experience is more widespread in the organisation. Having had a delicious drink at their Redchurch Street branch where the staff were amazing, I walked to Broadgate to go shopping on the way I thought I could pop into Liverpool Street to use the bathroom and buy a water. The bathroom didn’t have any toilet paper so I alerted the staff today. One was eating a bagel behind the counter most unhygienic when they are the same hands that service customers…cross contamination?! They both shrugged their shoulders and carried on talking. I left without my water or a trip to the bathroom. I went to Spitalfields and had a much better experience at Jenka. Some serious training required here as others like me will start to think with their feet!

We went here during the morning and had the best coffee I’ve ever had in my life, I then accidentally dropped my credit card down the crack in the seat in which an incredibly kind employee called Illiya helped us for 20 minutes straight 10/10 place you MUST go

The customer service and the quality of the matcha I must say have been brilliant. Honorary mention to Saint who has been instrumental in inspiring me to write this review. The atmosphere the staff have created I had to come back for seconds. In the evening of 01/08/2024 (my birthday) I felt compelled to explore the hype that has been blueberry matcha from blank street. I have not been disappointed. As a matcha lover it is more than just matcha it’s about moments and I had to come back the next day for my birthday moon to relive my moments of joy at Blank Street. Though many words have been used in this review, in one word I would say fantastic! I gladly opened my purse to invest in some memorabilia and purchase both the tumbler and the blank street canvas bag. Can’t wait to visit again and be welcomed with such an incredible team of people. May all your shifts be light as you’ve made my week.

Great varied menu for breakfast. The bacon, egg and cheese bagels excellent. Variety of pastries, oats.. Great service and ambience. Best coffee we have had in England so far.

Worst customer service and horrible staff at Angel Always opening late and scowling when you ask them to open the door at 7am (opens at 6.30pm). treats you badly when you order and plays heavy metal at 7am . The morning staff should be fired.

The coffee is good but i had a very bad experience today with a staff member in the Finsbury Square Shop, his name is Giovanny. He was soo annoyed just because i asked if the coffee that i was taking was the one for me as i couldn't hear properly the name. The guy lacks of any customer service skills, respect and patience with customer is not his strength! went to pay for a coffee to just be treated bad! Unbelievable!

We came for a morning coffee and cookie on a Friday morning whilst on a day out in London. We both had a pistachio latte with oat milk and shared a pistachio cookie. The drinks were good with a nice strong pistachio flavour. The cookie was soft and filled with a pistachio paste which was also good. Service was friendly and didn’t take too long considering they were a little busy.

Best experience with English tea ever! The place was amazing really clean and I enjoyed the experience, the banana cake tasted so fresh and Nutella croissant I ate it in one bite as well I was struggling because of personal reasons but Ela was my barista that day and she made my day so much better she was so kind and friendly I feel grateful because customer service was perfect for real.

I had a hot chocolate from the Manchester store and it was amazing ! For some reason my card got declined but they don’t have an option to pay by cash, so they gave it for free. Truly the friendliest staff! My friend got the while chocolate matcha and it tasted great too! 10/10 experience

Disgusting rude confrontational staff especially the manager is uncooperative and never follows instructions. Stubborn hateful vermin. Please avoid this coffee shop.

Visited the King’s Cross branch on 01/03 ordered a iced latte for £4.10. Lady who served me had zero customer service. She was more interested in speaking and laughing with the man behind me in the queue! Will never visit again and your iced latte was crap . Avoid their are better places to feel welcome at.

Super friendly and funny staff, excellent vibe and a killer chai latte - honestly you never know what you're gonna get with a chai - this one was just the right amount of spice, and hot! Would recommend to anyone

this coffee/ food shop is absolutely amazing for teens and adults, the music is really good so is the iced latte so over all i loved it

Holly and Erica were vibes. Came to buy a coffee, left with 4 random drinks. Each one was fantastic. Blueberry Matcha surprised me. Pistachio Latte was very good. Best thing is it’s not overwhelming.

Quick, polite, friendly, clean, good product and all at a price that is less than rivals. It made a real change to visit a UK coffee house chain and not feel my feet sticking to the floor or my arms sticking to tacky furniture. Don't expect a pseudo country house interior. The style is cool contemporary.

I visited the coffee shop in Fitzrovia. Looks great from the outside, from the inside very loud music blared (if that’s you thing may be you will like this place). I chose a large cafe latte, which is actually pretty small. Must have had half a shot of coffee in it. Could barely taste the coffee. Absolute joke. I now need to go somewhere else for my caffeine fix.

Good coffee but pretentious/non listening staff. Four visits, four different prices. The first was £2.90 it slowly crept up to almost £4. What's communicated to cashier isn't forwarded to barista, and when I corrected this, was given a dirty look. Are yr staff seriously devoid of intellect? Never again.

Popped in whilst on a trip to London and the place was not very busy. The interior is really nice and spacious too. Staff were a bit unfriendly, on phones, no hello or anything. Paid £6 for a pain au chocolat and a small cappuccino. It’s a bit odd how they only do a small or a large, no medium size. The thing that really put me off is that there are small flies everywhere. I bought a pain au chocolat and flies were immediately swarming and it was disgusting. Had to leave it on the table. The lady next to me was pulling a face too. As I walked out, they were also surrounding the coffee machine and even in the bit where they keep the pastries, which is an open box so clearly will attract flies. Obviously if you have the front doors open, flies will come in, but there were so many that it was actually grim and makes you wonder how they clean the place. The coffee was alright but nothing special in my opinion

Coffee was great. Staff was very friendly and kind. I will definately come back here for coffee and something sweet. Great place!
