I have travelled and eaten at many Indian restaurants in my 51 years on this planet, and this place blows the competition out of the water. Service etc was excellent, but the food, it is simply on another level. Honestly don’t think I’ll beat this. Out of 10, I’m giving it 100.

Wow, ok so this is not your basic cheap Indian. Minimum spend per person is £25. But if you are looking for great food, service and ambience then I would definitely recommend. The food we had was excellent and not overpriced for the quality. If you want a great experience and great food and are willing to spend a few pennies more then this is the place for you. Thank you Ash & team for a lovely evening.

Absurd policy of minimum £25 pp spend! Got seated down only to be told that the order was not meeting their minimum spend and cheekily being asked to increased spend. Great way to lose business, especially when the restaurant was empty!

Service and food were excellent. We didn’t have a booking and they made room for us which we were extremely grateful for. We will definitely be coming back!

Food was okay. The chicken tikka was lovely. Atmosphere and setting was nice. Very busy on Sat night. Waiter proceeded to tell me it's min £25 spend pp however my bill was exactly £25 including dessert and I wasn't hungry. My friend ordered quite a bit so I'm not sur of the issue? They then proceeded to move us to the smallest table midway through eating even though we booked in advance to accommodate a group of 4. I feel like we didn't spend as much they would have hoped so our experience became less of a priority. Not returning. Also smelled so strongly of indian spices after leaving. also ordered a mocktail and after a few sips it was done mostly made of ice

Overall a really decent meal. To clarify I visited on my own (as in the city for business). Service was friendly but not overly so, attentive without being too much. Poppadoms were fresh and the chutneys were great, if a little “thin” for my liking although I especially loved the dark one which I assume was a form of tamarind. Starter was Chicken 65, honestly the disappointment of the meal. A battered dish but sadly lacked the crispness I was hoping for. Tasty, if a little “soft” for my tastes. Lamb garlic chilli masala for main was really good, lamb fell apart and it had a decent heat and plenty of garlic (if anything garlic could’ve been chopped finer or minced for me as the chunks were quite large) overall though really nice flavours and a decent thick sauce. This was accompanied by a garlic and coriander naan, perfection! Freshly cooked, piping hot, a good amount of both garlic and coriander but also covered in a butter glaze that just made it so tasty, usually I prefer a chilli naan but have to say this was honestly one of the best naans I’ve had (and I worked in an Indian restaurant back in my student days!) Combine the above with decent service, bottled Cobras and I’m happy. Would I return, yes. Was it good value, yes. If I was to be picky, crisp the chicken 65 next time and it’s easily a 5 star place!

My friend had butter chicken, and this was brilliant, I took madras and wasn't the best. The spice was much higher than I expected. dont get me wrong, i love spicy food, but this was much hotter than I expected. The starters were great.

I had an amazing time here with my uncle and my best friend, the venue is beautiful sleek and minimalistic, the service was fantastic and loved the banter with the waiter! Very professional and very friendly. We had a great time! The food was excellent and I’d love to come back here! Thanks guys for a great experience.

Horrible 5 minute experience - we sat down to have dessert and tea and drinks - they told us to leave. Quite rude - lack of service mindset . It said nowhere that we had to order mains. They could have been accommodating as the place was almost empty and we came from very far to this restaurant Not recommended

Came here with high expectations from the reviews, unfortunately, found the experience to be incredibly disappointing. The poppadums and starters were great. The rice was nice as was the naan bread. However, the curries themselves were a colossal let down. Firstly, as 2 vegetarians, to be served solely frozen mixed vegetables in a curry is incredibly disappointing. The only vegetable that wasn’t clearly poor quality & frozen mixed was the potato. The bhuna was allegedly a single spice rating and this was borderline inedible for how spicy it was. I’m not sure whether this was made incorrectly, but the spice levels made my father unwell and was closer in levels to madras curries from other restaurants. But considering the curries are the main dish, it was disappointing how poor they were. Equally, whilst the service was fast, not a single question was raised regarding our enjoyment of the meal, which considering how much of the food went uneaten, was an obvious sign that something was wrong. With the service being lacklustre, the main course being poor quality (at least for vegetarians/vegans) and very highly priced, I would not ever return and would actively advise others to avoid. Incredible disappointment.

The Railway Lamb Curry is probably the best curry I have ever tried!

Excellent service, wonderful food. Would highly recommend chicken bhuna plus garlic and coriander naan bread. Ash and Bablu were very helpful and attentive. Would definitely return.

The food was exceptional, the service was lovely and the prices are reasonable for the standard of food.

Food was below average. A bit of a racist vibe as the person treating others vs white was very much visible. Food isn’t worth the price. Very cocky, unapologetic and super blunt and loud staff. I would eat better food over small Indian eateries then baby portion over expensive food. Interior defo doesn’t look as good as photos.

The staff is very unprofessional, got rude to me just asking a small question about who is the chef. The food was excellent, way better than any other Indian restaurant. The chef who was Bangladeshi who was excellent & precise however the Bangladeshi staff was very rude. Would only order food via delivery and would never step into the restaurant.

I have visited this restaurent for the first time along with my friends just to get in touch with indian recipies but at the door they stopped us and asked if we are ready to spend 25 pounds minimum each then they will allow us to the restuarent as per owner order. We felt insulted and felt racistic and I do not know if they are asking other customers. No sign or board mentioned about this neceesary payment of minimum 25 pounds each but verbally informing the customers at the door. Felt emabrassed and cost of many items are in range between 5-15 pounds. However food is good but not excellent. Thank you.

Nice food nice restaurant . Was really annoyed looking at menu board told to come in had starter 2 cocktails then told by smarmy waiter myself and daughter had to spend minimum Of £30 each ?? As on the notice board and menu . Re read both nothing in small print . Starter was £25 nothing on there 2 small pieces of chicken tikka , 2 small salmon pieces 2 small veg ball and a shriffled no taste prawn . Was still hungary when left . Cont bombarded do u want drinks . Also £4 charge your not told about for confements to go with popadoms as asked do u want popadoms to begin with £70 down for 2 popadoms a so called share platter 3 drinks. Also notice service charges in small print and cant be taken off as compulsary plus can be ssked to leave or refused entry without reason . Very bizzare

Wonderful food, great service in a cosy atmosphere. All at very reasonable prices? We arrived ealry, and yes were the first customer just after 6pm mid week. From start to finish, the staff where at tentative, chatty and helpful. Tiger Prawn and Lamp Chop for starters were devine. Very tender, delicate spices and just right. Railroad Chicken had a plenty on chicken with potatoes in an authentic sauce. The Lobster was a pleasant suprise, with coconut not overpowering the taste of shellfish. All in all, a very pleasant and genuine meal. Authentic taste with amazing service.

Honestly the food was really bland The curries were full of spice but not natural chilli, just spices and powder so the flavour wasn't very rich and didn't last The portions were also extremely small but hey ho The naans were also tiny I wasn't happy with the overall lack of flavour to be honest...

In the midst of the Chinese Quarter, but a far tastier experience than the more benign fayre on offer at these establishments. My dish was laced with hot, delicious spices. First class service and very pleasant decor and ambience.

Food was amazing but was let down mu disorganised staff and service. Some orders went through tablet others were taken verbally. We were worried we would be charged twice. Overall not bad

Friendly staff and the Naga Lamb was made with fresh chillis rather than dried, which you could tell from the flavour.

Lovely food, good food service, drinks service not great. Very off putting having homeless and druggies hanging outside the window waiting for their free food!

Food was absolutely delicious and service was first class. We dined as a party of 3 and had 3 different dishes. All 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Portion size was good and taste was incredible. We appreciated that the restaurant was open til 11:45 as we were looking for a post theatre meal. Highly recommended this lovely establishment

First time visiting here today. We came before a gig at the 02. The food here was simply outstanding, fantastic service, great atmosphere, the staff were friendly and helpful. I can 100% recommend this place and we shall be back as much as we can. Simply perfect!

Decor was lovely although I thought it was a little chilly . Prices very very reasonable for the centre of Birmingham . Ideal place to eat before theatre or glee club . Will definitely go back .

Wonderful food and service. So pleased we chose this restaurant to eat dinner at. Great recommendations for food and drink. Will definitely recommend to friends! Edit - 3 hours after leaving the restaurant, my mum realised she’d left her handbag behind! We were pretty distraught and thought we might not see it again but when we called the restaurant, the manager said he had tried to find us but couldn’t so had kept it to one side. Such honesty isn’t always easy to find these days and we really appreciate the staff at this restaurant who exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much guys!

A most enjoyable meal, lovely staff. The food was authentic indian with a stylish twist and some great flavours, definitely would visit again.

Got in while it was quiet and was able to relax. Very pleasant atmosphere and the food was delicious. Great portion sizes and the parathas are a great touch. Rice is standout and the house specials are worth the price. Not too expensive and there's enough to take away.

Amazing! Really Made our day, this restaurant is the best Indian ever. Great staff, and food speaks for itself; everything absolutely fantastic! We will be back for sure next time we visit UK and Birmingham. All thumbs up!

Best Jalfrezi I've had and I have had curries all over the Midlands. Plenty of layered flavours. Good heat but not too hot. I will be recommending this restaurant to friends and family!😁

Found this restaurant from a search on Trip advisor, which stated it was number 1 for Indian food. I have to admit that it was the best Indian meal I have ever had. Really tasty food, great presentation and friendly staff.

Everything about our experience here was just perfect! From the attentive and knowledgeable staff to the delicious food and variety. We tried the Kadai Kurchan with chicken and the Paneer Tikka Labab, both exquisite. The papadom and the dips were so flavorful and married perfectly together. My only tip is to inform the staff about the level of spice you’re comfortable with! We will definitely be visiting again, kudos to the chef and staff!
